After witnessing people who unironically praise Gen 5 and now see people unironically praise Gen 6, I wouldn’t be surprised if this happened to Gen 9
And some people will always be there to shit on every gen past the first two ones no matter a good the new games are. It's a balance.
>I wouldn’t be surprised if this happened to Gen 9
Gen9 is worth praising though. Not for its technical aspect of course.
>Gen9 is worth praising though. Not for its technical aspect of course.
no
>removed set mode so text boxes keep disrupting battles
>removed the option to turn off battle animations
>removed over world effects of abilities like Synchronize
>forced EXP share
>dexcut
>transfer exclusive moves gone forever, the game forces you to forget them
>horrendous graphics
>horrendous performance issues when compared to every other GF pokemon game
>still relying on shitty soulless cheese the game gimmicks for marketing (most other 3D games might have this flaw too but at least they have more good things going for them)
>SJW art style and character designs filled with gays and trannies made to appease amerimutts, like Rika and Grusha
>no battle facilities
>botched trainer customization
>nerfing HP recovery moves to put emphasis on the "spam super effective move to win" philosophy that the game already way has too much of
>none of the buildings have interiors, even SWSH did a better job in that regard
>player models glitch the fuck out in online as shown in numerous webms
>no level scaling so the game might as well not have open world
>had to patch the game in order for pokemon to close their eyes when sleeping in battle despite the fact 3D games from other devs 20+ years ago, such as Stadium, didn't have a problem with this
>reducing the number of NPCs and Pokemon displayed in the over world is their solution to avoiding bugs and performance issues
>Pokemon in battle have lazier animations compared to PLA, a game that was released BEFORE SV
>Convergent Evolutions and Paradox Pokemon are just a dishonest way for Game Freak to pretend they introduced a new feature even though it's the same thing as Regional Variants except with a different name, Toedscool is literally just a Tentacool recolor for example
>game ends with a scripted fight that you can't lose
You forgot
>worst music in the entire series, guaranteed to give you headaches

As much as I’m willing to shit in gen 9, at least it has a few tracks that are fine. I can’t remember a single track from SwSh.
Nostalgia, we will all look back in 3-4 years giving Gen 9 praise after Gen 10 becomes the current Gen
Pokemon fans are the most nostalgia broken consumers in history, and Ganker is the most autistic contrarian board of all boards, of course thats going to happen. Its like saying water is wet
Water is not wet, dumbass
Fuck you Gen 5 has the best postgame.
Just admit that the glitches are funny
People are saying that now
>15 years from now
>"the glitches are what gave it its charm"
But enough about Gen 1.
You know in some ways its poetic that gamefreak came full circle already
People were saying that on day one.
Unironically though, some of those glitches are very soulful and on the same level as the Mew glitch or surfing along Cinnabar Island, or the item dupe glitches in Gen 1 or Gen 2.
The whole sandwich glitch where you can zoom out into space is very kino, and all the weird graphical glitches where the character looks all cartoony and weird are pretty funny too. Plus SV did have an item dupe glitch of its own
15 years from now modern games will be permanently crippled by having most of their content connected to online features. Glitches are not what will kill long-term opinions about Switch-Era games, it's the fact that they will become even more barren and featureless with time.
There will probably be fan servers, like the classic servers for Gen 4 and 5 (which, granted, are relatively dead but did get a bit more activity during and after the lockdown).
Whoever said the Internet is timeless needs to be sued for libel
Imagine if the glitches didn't exist
There would be no legitimate criticism against the game and they would be hailed as the best since (insert anons favorite gen)
Cities still need work. Even gens 1 and 2 had more to their cities than gen 9's did. Other than the cities, I agree.
i don't agree
scatvomit are terrible games in all categories
postgame, music, pokemon designs, character designs, more of the shitty DLC model, dexcut and other corner cutting cancer, etc.
nope see
There's always something to complain about. We must hate or we cease to exist.
It's always funny seeing people deny the nostalgia cycle.
Even before Pokemon was old enough for nostalgia, adults on the internet seemed to resent this IP in a similar vein to something like Fortnite.
I didn't have the glitches since I never played with anyone else and I still liked the game and thought it had charm.
>now
>"the glitches are what gave it its charm"
Cope
>15 years from now
>scatvomit enjoyers will continue to cope
coping with what? we won.
no, you lost scatshill
scatvomit are terrible games through and through
Kalos schizo thread
>What are patches
>>"the glitches are what gave it its charm"
I already saw this take a month ago
There are charming elements in every gen. The early ones more than others. You pick your poison.
