The only thing I really disliked about D2 was the atmosphere. Karnaca didn't do enough to feel distinct from Dunwall, which soured the experience ever so slightly for me since Dunwall was a pretty unique setting back in D1.
I still agree it's the better game overall, but being so similar to the first lessened it's impact at launch.

Eh. DS1 felt much more fresh - the Hound Pits characters felt more interesting than anyone that hangs out on your ship in DS2 (wasn't the only people there Billie and Sokolov?)
2 has garbage level design which fucks up the rest of the game. They valued good looking environments over good playing environments and it shows. This alone makes it much worse than 1. >Story
garbage >voice acting
same as 1, what the fuck are you on >music
Those street performers were good, I give you that. >game mechanics
Eh, Emily's powers are good but I don't like how easy they made it to do nonlethal takedowns. Feels like it misses the point of a morality system.

t shitter whos idea of a good game consists of teleporting from a chandelier to another
>Stilton manor
the unskippable minutes-long outsider cutscenes really kill the pacing, and the only choice in what to do is whether to go through the kitchen or go upstairs first
How come? 2 has way better level design, story, music, game mechanics regarding powers and actual top tier voice acting
Stilton manor completely BTFOs 1

Not a single track reaches the levels of Wrenhaven River, and Honor for All > On The Sands Of Serkonos >game mechanics regarding powers
It kills the power of choice with its simplification of non-lethality >and actual top tier voice acting
Not with that new Outsider VA, it doesn't
while harvey smith is your typical american cuck and the frenchie is based it's much simpler than that, just look at the writers
Dishonored 1 has Harvey Smith along with Austin Grossman and Terri Brosius which have written for Thief and the Deus Ex series
in Dishonored 2 Austin and Terri got pushed into the "External Writer" category with the lead now being a retarded cunt named Sachka Duval
Death of the Outsider was written by a 4 female team without any credentials (one which went on to EA to write for Sims 4) with Sachka Duval at the head again.
They had absolutely no idea how to create a good narrative or how to handle the Dishonored lore, absolutely disgraced what was built up by competent writers
Sachka went on to also be the main writer for Deathloop before leaving Arkane, fired i hope
Dishonored 2 was still a very, very fun game.
I prefer 1 because the atmosphere was better and Daud was awesome but 2's power are tons of fun, there are more ways to play like you're a lethal, inescapable predators and Dishonored is the only series I know of that nails this feeling
I liked 2, but I loved 1. I honestly couldnt tell you why, I probably just got burned out. I guess I just prefered the simplicity of 1 like rats instead of the blood wasps, and I thought the trinkets were kind of useless in 2.
I thought the laboratory mansion and the time jumping level was cool as fuck, but I didnt want to go back and use different powers. I just sort of did a good playthrough and an evil playthrough and called it a day.
I just wish you could skip the long boat rides in 1 and all the cutscenes in general, it really slows down multiple playthroughs. there has got to be a mod or something
>good >evil
why are dishonored players obsessed with this shit
like in every thread it always goes to "cannon end is bad" or "i got the bad ending and my time was wasted"
its like some kind of brain rot
In every game with a morality system, I want to experience both endings. do other people not do this?
I always play a game where I be a good guy, and then if I really like the game, I replay it and try to be an evil asshole. I'm not salty that my first playthrough was the high chaos one. i was gonna do it anyway
counterpoint: i played through the first one and enjoyed it
however i got bored halfway through the second or 3rd level in the second game and never played it again
this proves that the first one is better
Are you me
Loving the first one, I tried really *really* hard to like the second one yet ended up dropping it several times, the first one in Dunwall itself right before reaching the boat and the last time halfway through Addermire Institute. Only when I switched from the intended Emily to the familiar Corvo and decided to give zero shits about immersion and just started killing everyone to let out my frustrations did I manage to finish the game. Once.
Two's story is fucking abysmal which is a shame because Emily as the protagonist is such a softball premise it's almost impressive they managed to fuck it up.
The story is rushed, the pacing is poor, it's hilarious disjointed, there are somehow no personal stakes because Emily doesn't fucking know any of these people. IT's actually crazy they managed to make it so bad.
1 > 2 and it's not even close

1 had more cartoony goofy artwork that made it original. That was the fun thing about it. also better ragdoll physics
>Stilton manor
the unskippable minutes-long outsider cutscenes really kill the pacing, and the only choice in what to do is whether to go through the kitchen or go upstairs first
2 only had two good levels. hospital, museum and final mission were terrible. There were probably other missions but I dont even remember them.

Agreed.
Almost every mission having a neutral hub with NPCs, explorable buildings, shops and optional quests was an awesome addition.
Retcons made me just drop the game.
So 1>2.
>2 > 1
but enough about Borderlands
that is mathematically correct and I cannot dispute it
All the three games suck as stealth
>go on a ledge slightly out of the view of an enemy
>congrats you are now invisible
>three
People remember 1 as entire package.
People remember 2 for a couple gimmick levels and nothing else.
I hate 2 so fucking much, holy shit.
What were they thinking?
They weren't
This image really lacks Deus Ex 1/2 for come context.
It's just showing Arkane games. Personally I don't want the dude that made Invisible War directing the sequel to a game I really liked.
I fucking despise that lady got as much attention as she did, she didnt even care about games

It gets better

TrannyDestroyer will forever live rent free in their heads, it seems.

How does one right for sims 4?
Someone has to write the gibberish Sims talking.
Dishonored 2 was still a very, very fun game.

No, because it's a sequel. Had it focused on literally anyone else it would have been largely an improvement.

they're the same game lmao

Yes, and?
>delilah is back because... she just is okay!
god that was so shit, surely there are plenty of mentioned characters already in the lore they could pick from or something.

I don't think nuArkane will live long enough for that to happen.

I ran through all the games and 2 was more fun to play and is the one I'll more likely replay
