Holy shit i forget how much damage npcs deal, i am getting curbstomped repeatedly and highly enjoying it. Never played Max payne 3, will play it after i finish 1 and 2
struggling to keep up with uni while still wanting to spend all day playing classic wrath of the lich king and also terraria since the new update. only like 6 weeks left until i'm free for christmas and can go full degen
I have full hair but at 26 I'm starting to see silver hairs
I dont know how to feel about it. I dont want to dye my hair though, thats pathetic as a man
yeah could you imagine, jesus christ I dont think I'd be able to cope. I guess I just still feel like I'm 19/20 so seeing silver hairs is kinda depressing. I'm not ready
I'm one of those who had to fully shave their head at like 20, it didn't really affect my self-esteem because I saw it coming a mile away. My grandfather, older brother, father and uncles were all bald at a pretty young age so my role models already had the look.
I'm turning 24 soon and my hairline is much worse than it was 2 years ago. Back of my head is thinning too and it's very noticeable if I don't sweep it back.
I would fricking slaughter to have my hair back even if it was all greyed out, I know I'm gonna go bald eventually but watching it happen is miserable.
It ain't fair man.
Hereditary, my mother showed me a pic of my old man when he was my age while I was in high school and I played it off well but I've never felt more dread in my entire life when I realised that my hair is going to end up like his.
On the other side, what could you put into your body to cause hair loss?
Stress and poor sleep. Try keratin, it's literally what hair and nails are made of.

>Stress and poor sleep
Frick, I'll admit I don't remember the last time I fell asleep before the sun came up in the last year or so. My sleep schedule has been fricked for all of uni but it's slowly gotten worse and worse.
Didn't know it affected hairloss, consider my efforts to fix it reignited.
I'll also check out keratin, cheers.

Sleep is how your body recovers mentally and physically, it's a vastly overlooked part of health by most people. I don't know why people choose to min max it.
Unless he's injecting testosterone into his body, the former. Male pattern baldness is the result of a testosterone-derived male sex hormone reacting with receptors in the hair follicles. The level of sensitivity is hereditary, and the factors that help to determine your level of free testosterone are hereditary too. W'allah, male pattern baldness is hereditary.
As someone with a thinning crown at 27, this is like being homeless watching some billionaire complain about first world problems. Frick you buddy, at least you still got all your fricking hair.
>27 >full hair >barely any beard, yeah it sucks but whatever, are least I have a nice jawline >single, and not interested in relationships >well paid job on weekdays, vidya and hanging out with my friends on weekends
I'm pretty good
Scorn, Overwatch 2
waiting for Persona 5 and 4 for Xbox (already played 3 to death, want to replay 4 and 5) and Atomic Heart
>tfw 32 >started balding this year
I guess I can't complain too much, my dad was balding in his early twenties
Hopefully if I have a son he will keep his mane until his forties
>both grandpas had full heads of hair up until the end >father had a full head of hear at ~50 (last time I saw him)
I may stay a fat ugly bastard until the end, but at least I'll be a hairy fat ugly bastard
>Most of my older family members still have full heads of hair no problem >Uncle even has long as shit hair despite being in his 60s
Feels good to not have shit genetics.
33 here. Played and finihsed Scorn and Cultic Ch1 this weeked. Disappointed by Scorn, lovef Cultic.
Also Kirby on Switch.
Looking forward Forever Skies.
>33 here. Played and finihsed Scorn and Cultic Ch1 this weeked. Disappointed by Scorn, lovef Cultic.
Same age, same games, same sentiments.
Cultic is really something, jumped straight up to the top of my favorite retro shooters.
Scorn... I'm really trying to enjoy it, but the game goes out of it's way to prevent that. I do love the art direction, and I expected jank and unsatisfying gameplay, but the first real combat segment felt so absurdly out of place and annoying I just gave up for the day, and while I was expecting this to a degree, the game's lack of core reality is still a major issue.
They had 6 years to make a game everyone was expecting to be little more than a walking sim. I was really hoping they would figure out the narrative better than this.
That game already fell off the top 100 steam games....4k players and dropping. Bamco fricked up big time. Top steam games have a lot of garbage I. The top 100 it's sad to see a game completely die and fall out of the top 100 . To be a top 100 steam game you only need 3k players
Only GBA/PSP/DS/PS2/Cube emulated games on my phone and some minor gacha that reminds me of my childhood like RockMan X Dive.
Modern gaming fricking sucks.
Incredibly bored of almost anything and think gaming is in a dire state. Dota 2 is keeping me occupied at the moment, also watching The International atm.
Honestly. Gaming just isn't that much fun anymore. I can manage about 30 mins a day before getting bored. Playing Scorn atm. I've taken up reading too now.
I just miss when I could go in an MMO like WoW and put stupid ass names on my characters and guild names with my friends without getting banned
I still remember having the arena team name Gaykids
It was so easy to meet like minded people that way.
I talk to my friend group of people I've known for years on our discord channel. I don't think there's any shame in this. I moved to AIM from MSN Messenger and then to IRC and Trillium, how is this different?
Ganker is just so contrarian that they want to act as though it's better to have no friends and not be in contact with anybody at all rather than use whatever is currently popular.
Yeah, in moderated games I simply disconnect from chat altogether to not offend someone by accident. I still remember how I trolled and called people in games morons and homosexuals. Today in said game you'll get a chat ban without parole for life. Fricking hell, I get that people should be able to kick someone obnoxious like me, but everyone is too soft skinned today and nobody should get a ban for moronic shit like that.
This basically killed multiplayer games for me... which also means that 99% of modern games have no appeal since they're just moronic no-socialization multiplayer games. I've basically returned to monke at this point, I just play shit on my Game Boy and emulators.
WoW Legion was the last time the game was good. I remember chat was wild 24/7 anytime I'd log in. It came out in mid 2016 so the chat was always political and mostly memes

I remember mw2 lobbies, everyone having dogshit xbox mics, screaming calling eachother homosexuals, quickscope lobbies, getting death threats from 12 year olds when you joined a lobby with a shotgun and shit. It was the same with Halo aswell. No one wants to talk now because no one wants to get banned.
are you really over 25 and mad that you can't say moronic shit anymore? normal people don't want to hear the nword or death threats. they just want to play a game.
your mindset i insane to me. shit it must be low iq genes.
Okay redditor, I'll spell it out. Normal people don't want to hear about some sperg talk about how he's so much more mature and better than you lesser plebs. It's not about what language people use. It's purely about how much of a c**t you are being to other people who just want to have a laugh with their friends. You sound like a massive narcissist who's trying to make himself feel better by dunking on anons on a honey pot for autists. You are pathetic and gay. Real maturity is to stop trying to be mature and "adult" because you know you are an adult and have nothing to prove.
> It's purely about how much of a c**t you are being to other people who just want to have a laugh with their friends
and there you are being one of them, dude litteraly made a post about naming characters and guild in a stupid, not being a c**t about it but you, you act like the typical forum mod in a power trip.
so go frick yourself, hypocrite

You're clearly too young and self absorbed to understand you're being a clossal homosexual. I'm not a janny thank god so I have no power to abuse you with. You are constructing a situation where you are the victim on a fricking thread on Ganker.

and you are too stupid to realize Ganker is not one person, not only you can't read a damn post but you can't even realize what is going on around you.
once again, you are acting like a colossal homosexual, you think people that give stupid names to their characters and guilds have to be banned on sight and fail to understand this won't stop actual c**ts doing shit to everyone just for their own entertainement, so i'm going to keep calling you as what you are, a hypocrite AND a disgrace

I am advocating for the exact oposite of what you are accusing me of you drooling moron. I want people to say Black person and shit without spergs grassing on people. Why are you angry at that you strange boy?
dude no one gives a shit what you do with your FRIENDS but don't be a moron in a public game like wow. it's not about "trying" to be mature. i genuinly don't understand idiots like you. no sane person thinks randomly saying gay or Black person is funny. it's obnoxious and you are beeing a manchild. just grow up or get banned.
>are you really over 25 and mad that you can't say moronic shit anymore? normal people don't want to hear the nword or death threats.
Normal people didn't play games before. If they did and got off put then it wasn't for them. Now, people who weren't there in the beginning are trying to dictate where the ship is headed. If you can't handle a random person on the internet calling you one of your mandated nono words then the internet might not be for you anon. You goofy Black person.
what is the beginning in wow? 2004? times changed for the better. i'm not 14 anymore and don't want to see childish shit in my games. it's silly and not funny. i don't see the fun in calling someone a Black person. it's a game you dipshit. do you do the same at a monopoly table? calling your granny a filthy c**t?

An unhinged antisocial schizo calling his family members mutts, Black folk, and roasted over a boardgame would be very funny. Even better if its like Thanksgiving and he keeps complaining about the home-cooked food being goyslop

>i don't see the fun in calling someone a Black person. it's a game you dipshit.
because I am calling you a Black person for fun anon? Have you ever thought that people use that foul language for reasons other than to express their disdain for losing?
Half of the words you list can be said and taken in jest. >do you do the same at a monopoly table?
I would yes. Because calling you a homosexual for nabbing Park Place and and Boardwalk Ave. from me would be very funny to me. Its the fact that such extreme language is used in the context of a no risk game which is precisely why its fricking hilarious anon. The fact that you need this explained to you means you need to lighten up more. Quoting you: >it's a game you dipshit.
have fun and don't get mad when someone says one of the words you don't like. Not everyone is on the same page with what is OK and not OK. Your line is a lot easier to cross than the rest of the people playing and you assume that everyone lives with the same standards feelings and reactions as (you)
>what is the beginning in wow? 2004?
Well 2004 isn't a bad year, but really all of the internet pre smartphones and facebook was pretty good. Myspace was the begging of the end. We all had the same memo when getting on this shit. >Don't give out your personal info FRICKING EVER. You don't know who's out there or why they're asking. >Don't delete system 32 >Don't forget rule 34 >Don't take offense to some random on the internet calling you a Black personhomosexual. You're not a Black person or a homosexual so who cares? If you are, they don't know that so reacting will just give them more ammo lol. Besides, he's just some rando on the internet. >Have fun on that there niche internet website where other homosexuals can talk about their niche interests with you. Like Japanese cartoons, Japanese freeware games you can download and patch into english, or learning animation in general.

Do you really think any sane adult over 25 spends significantly amount of time playing games and on top of that complains about not being able to use slurs as their nicknames? LMAO
Yeah, finding likeminded children, you were supposed to mature. If you were able to do that now it would just be 13-15 year olds hanging out with an old man.
I start my MBA program in 15 days, so I’m trying to platinum Valkyrie Elysium before then. I have one more weapon to get SSS proficiency in, then I need to beat it on Hard, then I’m DONE.
been playing YS 8
please recommend me some some good platformers, i'm feeling kinda burned out from work and can't enjoy playing anything more complex than that
Playing Symphony of the Night again. I should try that Saturn version with the romhack one day.
> zoomers mostly stay away from the chans
Oh if only that was the case. Zoomers have been giving their Twitter drama and acting like massive homosexuals for years now. Almost every other board I went to has suffered massively because of them. None of them bother to lurk or unapologetically talk about shit they like, it's always hiding behind layers of irony and making sure everyone is as miserable as them.
Been playing less PvP games since i started to feel the motor skills begin declining has to be something i find real fun to keep me playing or just don't bother.
Playing Cyberpunk, Morrowind and some Gundam Evo or Overwatch with the lads.
Im playing Overwatch, WoW and DBD in that order, somtimes maybe a little of Cult of the Lamb, also waiting for Darktide to release, hope my 970 is enough to play it decently.
I don't think snoring means you HAVE to wear a mouthguard, my dad is almost in his 60s, he's been snoring for basically my entire life and he still doesnt wear one.
Don't believe the "reaction time goes down suddenly with age" meme, these people aren't training hard. They get a girlfriend, a steady job, other hobbies, and they don't put in the hours.
30+ year old users with extreme autism are overrepresented in the top 10% of aim trainer users and the pro fighting game tournament space. Where you are actually doomed to be outdone by zoomers is if you are competing at the actual pinnacle of your competitive field, one which is strongly oriented toward technical skills (inputs) over game knowledge and other mental aspects. In those fringe cases, the minor advantages of being younger are significant.
Absolutely ridiculous recommendation. They should lift heavy weights and measurably increase their body's total count of mitochondria and their mitochondria to bodymass ratio. Energy does not come from chakras.
just finished pokemon yellow with my 6 year old daughter, now moved on to crystal

It's over, unless someone magically comes into my life like wish fufillment anime. A third of my life wasted. At least I'm enjoying vidya again, I'm playing civ v, mass effect and cyberpunk.
Get a trade, like welder for example. Job quaranteed, most pressing problem solved.
I was a mechanic for two years and ended up in a psych ward for a month because of it. It's pretty demoralizing and every attempt to improve my life has failed. I'm too tired to keep trying but nott far enough gone to end it. Some people are just frickups. Even if it improves the generational gap between people I'd be getting close to is too much, dating people your own age is a meme. My best friend has his own place and a newish car, I'm going to his wedding next year. People compare themselves to their peers, not their elders.
Sorry for the blog.
I'm a mech engi and I literally had to work for a year to realize how much of a frick up it was to study that career
I'm now going full analytics or programming, frick the mechanical industry, its only good on USA and central europe, anywhere else and its pure hell
You're only a failure if you admit you're a failure dude. That being said people aren't just failures naturally, there are reasons/problems that make people go in that direction, maybe you should sit and think to yourself what is holding you back and do what you can to work on it. If you're fat I suggest you lose weight.
Last new game i played was elden ring. After i completed that I went back to playing Gran Turismo sport. I havent even upgraded to gt 7 because I have all the cars i want on gt sport and dont want to have to grind to get them again.
I started playing alan wake remastered but stopped on chapter 4 its not how i remember.
Ive got a week off and was thinking of playing through SMT Nocturne or tales of symphonia again. I barely buy new games. Just not much interests me.
>PC broken for nearly a year, fried due to lightning strike >never bothered rebuilding as we just had a 2nd baby and were rearranging the livingroom, busy doing shit, costs etc etc >waste the last year on my phone and PS5, too tired to realise how miserable I was >finally buy 2nd hand tower from a work colleague >find out Scorn's finally out and I can play it for £1
Just beat Pitfall the lost expedition on xbox. Real hidden gem. Just started Mace Griffin's bounty hunter, which is really pretty for the time and holds up
I'm about to finish YS IX Mostrum nox, I'm trying to use this weekend to finally finish something, after that I think I'll continue with scorn and then the YS SEVEN and YS VIII
Currently replaying ridge racer revolution with my negcon and realising my skills have gone to shit in the 25 year gap since I last properly played it.
Turned 25 a week ago. Feels like I was 20 yesterday and boom, 25. Shit went fast without even noticing.
But in any case I don't feel any changes, and I'm the same "old" me, though I don't feel old at all.
As for what I've been playing...
Foxhole, Project Zomboid, Cyberpunk 2077 and League/Overwatch2/Left4Dead2 with my bros.
been playing visual novels (Dies Irae, Chaos Head, Eden) while desperately trying to put off going to the hospital for what is most likely chronic pancreatitis.
I'd rather die in my room tbh but otherwise doing great.
Just nostalgia games - Worms Armaggedon, Diablo 2, Age of Empires 2, Heroes of Might and Magic... Late 90s and early 00s were the best time. I'd love to play some good scifi game, so I look forward to Starfield, but other than that I'm pretty disappoited with the direction the industry headed. It's not by gamers for gamers anymore, it's by money for money.
I've just been playing WoW classic. Did all endgame content in Vanilla classic and TBCC but now I just... don't feel like it.
Played pic related two nights ago for an hour or so. Was pretty comfy except for some buginess and/or slowdowns. Might check out some other older point and click games, haven't really played any previously.
>be 30-35 >work nightshift fast food >surprisngly more normal than the 18-25 year olds i work with.
Man, i never knew i had it so good till i started working with kids who have given up on life before they had a chance. They watch youtubers and play fortnite unironically.

hanging out on discord trade server and in the chatmod
currently searching for a full set of armor, thanks to a new site which sells cheap legacies, i hopefully can buy one soon

This the b***hing about life thread? I have some shit to get off my chest. I just got out of the Army, I don't miss it and I won't consider going back, least of all reasons being that I can't because I'm on disability now.
But I've been kind of bored and depressed living back home without anything going on.
I'm thinking of applying to go back to university in the spring, but I feel like I'm in an anxiety rut. I'm 26 and I feel like I'm back to square one with no idea where I want to go from here. At least money isn't a problem because my disability checks handle me.
I keep waiting for a day where I'll wake up calm, happy, and motivated, but I feel like it's getting worse every day. I haven't left the house for longer than 30 minutes in like a month.
The deadline for applications is fast approaching and I haven't done shit. I guess I feel scared of committing to a course of action after every other choice I've ever made has turned out so fricking bad.
How was the army with all the new policies they've been adding and lowering requirements? I know they've been struggling to meet recruitment goals because of it, it seems like a bad joke.
Not that far.
Mainly that shit is just a PR nightmare, it's not quite that bad in reality. If you're in the infantry it's a hot topic to b***h about, but it's kind of ironic. You look at any infantry platoon: absolutely zero women or transexuals or whatever.
They're also all skinnyfat, monster-energy swilling chuds. But then they're also the people who b***h nonstop about being overran with women and transexuals. I just sort of write them off as subhumans. I was intel. There were plenty of women, no transexuals. All in all it was fairly regular job other than morning PT and motorpool mondays.
I'm not going to give you any details (For obvious reasons.) but a lot of the really negative shit you hear is literally just Chinese PsyOp shit. Go into some /misc/ or /k/ thread about women in the military and you will read a deluge about how we've all become total cucks, and again, my response is that I know for a fact that those threads are fricking crawling with the Chinese. I'll be caught dead before I let those fricks infect me with their PsyOp cancer.
That sucks to hear anon, I recommend doing a simple and versatile degree like business. That way it won't stress you out too much and you can branch into other things with the creds you get if you want to try something else.
What kind of disability do you have?
I have a broad spectrum of small issues that stack up. It's not exciting, not combat related. Got in a car accident, some moron blew a red light and hit me while I was on my way to a Mod Pizza. Could've happened to anyone, it had precisely jack shit to do with the Army.
To sort anxiety out you really have to push yourself, put yourself in uncomfortable situations. If you do that it will get better, if you do nothing it will get worse. I say this from experience, do it mate, push yourself.
I know you're right, but Jesus. I feel like I've been doing that over and over my whole life and I keep coming out the other side with nothing to show for it. I already went to college where I was basically a walking corpse burnout the whole time, still managed to get a degree in Psychology. Proceeded to fail at getting a job, so I joined the Army. And my experience in the Army sucked ass as well. Now I'm out and I just feel paralyzed because I'm afraid I'm going to sign the dotted line on another multi-year commitment and end up hating it, or failing, or just coming out the other side with nothing to show for it again.

33 here. I don't play video games no more. I do fantasize about developing my own game though. It would be a retro style game and I'd have full creative control how it looks and plays.
Good month so far
Beat Astral chain - story was surprisingly good
Beat Metroid Dread - really enjoyed it, might run hard mode later, 100% without a guide is mindnumbing
Should finish pokemon pearl today or tomorrow.
What should I play next Gankerros, something I can beat before bayo 3 comes out preferably
Three houses - only church run left
skyward sword HD - only zelda I haven't played
Link's awakening
Paper mario
Live A Live
Pokemon Arceus
Daemon X Machina
How do you stick to games? I play three or four games at once then never finish them and move onto something else. I don't know if I'm a spaz or just have an addictive personality.
Playing through Tomb Raider 3 with the intent to actually reach the end of the game. I played through the first and second game plenty of times over the years, but 3 never really grabbed my interest until now.
Finally got to the Antarctica levels.
>Used to make fun of people who play mindless games like Skyrim, Asscreed or RDR >Currently playing thru Skyrim after finally getting a job at a hospital in my field since I'm too fricking tired to get into anything that requires conscious thought
You could learn a new language or a instrument, but since you already have a good job its pointless and if you did it would be just for fun like playing any videogame
make sure you're investing at least 25% of your money in a cheap global index fund. Honestly do your research it make you feel much better about doing nothing because the gains make themselves over the years and you don't have to worry as much about your retirement while other homies scrape the barrel of state pension/social security.

Try and find a single player RPG to play
Can't play more than two sessions before not bothering with it anymore
MGSV
Horizon Zero Dawn
Skyrim with the Wildlander modpack
Elden Ring
These were my most recent attempts
Its sad lads i wanna enjoy shit like i used to. might have to go back to my backup genre of RTS&civ/stellaris stuff
that's a great rec anon ty. I actually play Slay The Spire on mobile, and have recently been working through Pokemon games on android emulated. Rouge(whatever they're called) games were never my thing and i never payed pokemon growing up. Enjoying both a lot. I'll have a look around and see if there's something on PC that's 'not my usual' that sounds appealing
You're basically the equivalent of a dude that has watched so many action movies you can pretty much guess how the story will play out. You can guess the patterns, the mechanics, and it bores you - single player RPGs are pretty passive playing games, you want to feel lost with new mechanics - try games like dead space, max payne, kane&lynch, DEFINITELY try single player adventure games, something without leveling and quests, just blow shit up, i did this and it's great.

It's going badly. Might end up in psychiatry ward again this year. Chronic depression is a b***h.
Played recently: >Cultic.

since it had a free weekend. For a company called "Tlon Industries", I expected better. >Manor Lords

Get on Seroquel my dude. It saved my life and actually works compared to bullshit SSRI's.
33 here, finally got a PS5 after not having a Playstation console since PS1. Finished Bloodborne and Demons Souls Remake recently. The inventory weight limit on DS is atrocious and made me never want to play again
30. Played through Unreal Gold for the first time and it was really good. I'm thinking of finally trying out XC1 on an emulator.
The biggest thing I'm dealing with is my thinning hair. It's right at the line of being visible, it really depends on the length/day. I keep thinking I should give up and buzz it down, but my friends say I'm overreacting so I'm hesitating. I think about it whenever I leave the house and most days I just grab a beanie to be safe.

I'm going for an education in Software Developer.
Webdesign basically.

At my mother in law atm.
Daughter of half a year is fine too.
27 here. Anyone else feeling lonely? I’m scared that I’m going to end up old and alone someday. Why is it so damn hard to find a genuine connection these days?
Video games are all I have to keep the darkness at bay.
I'm also 27 and lately I've been feeling the same way. Feeling that I should be making more of an effort with maintaining my friendships and I've been thinking that I would start looking for a woman at some point when I'm more satisfied with myself, probably in two years or so.
I don't know your story about you but I feel a genuine connection requires a lot of effort. Ever since I moved out from home I've thought forging a friendship is a pretty apt way to describe the process of finding yourself someone you can trust.
Been playing a lot of GGXrd-Rev2 since it's getting rollback soon, some Terraria and some CK2.
Replayed the Night Dive Turok 1 / 2 remasters this week. I know a lot of people really prefer 2, but after all these years I'm ok with saying I like 1 a lot more. The weapons in 2 are satisfying, but the enemies that you fight are annoying as shit (only two types of enemies - one that runs into your face as fast as possible constantly and the other that starts shooting / throwing grenades at you the nanosecond they see you and don't stop). You never get a chance to let the cool weapons shine. On top of that, the level design is all over the place. There are some genuinely good sections but overall there is too much fighting in narrow hallways.
I appreciate the ambition of 2, but 1 is just so much more fun to play. I would even argue that the weapons in 1 are better. Less novel, sure - but more satisfying.
Decided to playthrough Shogun 2 again for some reason, the battles are so much better than the Warhammer garbage it's criminal.
The Uesugi campaign is annoying as balls though
Put a bunch of shit on my deck and been playing Suikoden V on my T.V
I appreciate the setup the game is doing, making you care about the characters though its a bit boring atm, not a whole lot of game here yet.
First game in the series Ive tried so I have the patience to let it do its thing for a bit longer.
32 here been working on cleaning up my backlog of old games. Kinda glad there is nothing good coming out anytime soon. Also this board is a fricking dumpster fire right now giving children smartphones was a mistake.
Replaying dead space 1 because I haven't played it since release and feel like I live in some alternate universe. I remember it being a shitty horror game and an ok survival/resource management game and that was also the general opinion at the time online. Nowadays though it is treated like the peak of the genre.
31 here. Been coasting mostly. I work a cozy full time job and I play vidya. That's life now.
Been playing through the RE series for the first time. Also playing the FF games I missed, currently playing 15.
Loneliness is starting to set in real bad though, after years of telling myself I didn't need anyone but myself. Probably gonna try and get back out there to remedy that soon, either joining a MMO or hobbyist community of some sort. It will for sure be hard though, I'm sure I'm rusty at conversing these days.
>How you fellas holding up?
I know to much to find happiness in this world >Watcha been playing?
Darktide, its shit, gonna play some more hell let loose later probably.
Why are you getting defensive over nothing, what is this thing you know so much about, I'm genuinely curious.

Looks like your thought process is based on your feelings, not logic (your iq is low).

You're the only one insulting others here, I asked you a genuine question and you got defensive about it, really tells me alot about yourself mr projection.
>knowledge works a certain way because I say so
It's not what I say - again, knowledge is knowing the limitations of yourself and listening to what others say too.
And there is an entire fricking field interested in this subject, it's called epistemology.
And also there are several other fields that further study knowledge and it's relationship to human well-being - namely experimental and cognitive psychology, and arguably even anthropology and religionistics.
Of course, you would know all this if you were as knowledgeable as you claim to be.
>I know to much to find happiness in this world
That's the cringiest goth tier shit I've ever read. If you are truly over 25, then you aren't there mentally yet.
just started playing on the warhammer online private server. The small scale rvr is fun but scenarios seem heavy with premades. More people playing than I expected
Get up and do something with your life and your anxiety and depression will go away. And start working out, that's really important, too. Don't succumb to the pitfall of ''I'm 35 and it's too late for me''. No, it's definitely not. It's either this or misery and chasing small, unlasting pockets of relief for the rest of your unfulfilling life.
29, I recently accepted that every new AAA game is shit so I'm giving indie games more chances as long as it's not developed by a woman and a blue-haired homosexual. Also replaying a lot of games from when I was a teenager, that's been kind of fun but I do miss being excited for new AAA games.
I kinda collapsed, I have to spend my time studying, doing sport or working and with so little time left I don't want to play games in small sessions because I got so used to play them in one sitting that just leaving the story or fight "hanging" feels strange and not worth it.
So now I mostly play when there is more disposable time in Christmas and summer and the odd game here or there
27. Tried to get into Dward Fortress for 2-3 weeks but it is both way too autistic, has too much of a shit UI (even with tiles), and has mechanics that make absolutely no fricking sense. It's the game for people who spend their free time trying to get their obscure Linux distro to work properly and then look at you with a straight face and say, "Nah, bro. It's not that bad." Though it did get me interested in several other genres. Anyone know of something similar? Not RimWorld or Factorio.
>I'm going to lecture people on how video games are bad >I know, I should go to a board dedicated to video games where most people would just tell me to frick off
Soul Calibur 6. Haven't played this series since around 2007 or 08, and I'm having a lot of fun with the single player and character creator. Wasn't able to connect to an online match though, which was a bit disappointing.
>tried darktide its ok but no msens is beyond moronic
unironically will keep playing bf2042 for now while waiting for mw22 maybe ill try the cycle and shatterline but i dont like the visual style that much
Turning 29 this month, can't believe I'm so close to the big three oh
Been playing ff12 and have like a bit left to finish the story but I'm tired of it already so moved onto monster hunter world
Never got around to finishing world and iceborne but I refuse to use the defender set because skipping on hunt difficulty by going easy mode just to get to iceborne isn't my thing
I hate that developers release broken beginner weapons and armor like this because zoomers don't want to play what they paid for just to get to recent content
I got a Steam Deck so when I'm not playing the Darktide beta I'm playing Star Wars Galaxies or City of Heroes on Deck. With some tinkering they both work surprisingly well with a controller and the trackpads.
Still trudging through Hyrule Warriors DE adventure mode onSwitch, just bought Metroid Prime Trilogy and Kirby & the Amazing Mirror because the Wii U eshop is closing soon, pre ordered the Winters Expansion for RE8 on PS5 and playing through Fire Emblem Path of Radiance again on Dolphin. Too many games, not enough time or energy.
>turned 30 this summer
When the frick will I reach that age where I stop caring about online multiplayer and start falling back in love with single player games? I have so much shit in my backlog and I genuinely miss playing single player shit. I remember during whatever gen PS3/360 was I played soooooooooooooo many fricking single player games. And now it's just like I can't sit down and focus for more than 30 mins before I have to frick off and browse the internet or play an multiplayer game. I literally started Death Stranding like 4 times, RE7 3 times, Cyberpunk 9 times. Last game I actually beat and completed was Ghost of Tsushima and that's only because I didn't know how long it'd be on PS Premium.
I am 45 and only play multi since internet. Every single player game i like (not many) i burn out on due to autism...i have 260hrs in Elden Ring and didn't finish it but i did have a great time. I cant even remember the last SP game i finished, Deus Ex on launch maybe?
It sucks. I have so much shit on my backlog and it mostly just sits there. I said I wanted to start streaming or maybe recording playthroughs because then it'd FORCE me to play through said games.
For me it feels like I've seen everything singleplayer games have to offer, game stories and mechanics haven't really evolved that much and there are barely any new IPs coming out
If you have any competitive drive at all though, multiplayer will always be good for that
I don't know I still have a competitive drive as in liking to compete and I like to win but as far as actual competitive drive, I know there's no way I'd become a professional/esports at my age, not that I had any aspirations to do such a thing, but I'm not delusional. It's just rare that I have that drive to want to play single player games and usually when I do get that urge, I'm usually in a party chat with other people which will pretty much ruin any immersion as the morons in the party chat are talking or raging and I can't hear any of the storyline or dialogue, which just loops back to me playing multiplayer instead.

27. 28 in 2 months. > I literally started Death Stranding like 4 times, RE7 3 times, Cyberpunk 9 times. Last game I actually beat and completed was Ghost of Tsushima and that's only because I didn't know how long it'd be on PS Premium.
I can empathize. I struggle with sticking to single player games too. I used to play single player almost elusively now I only play with friends online. Last one I finished was pic related. The friends of ringo ishikawa. Great little sim that has beat em up combat with 4 different fighting styles to unlock and cool events that can happen.
Would recommend. Got me through being a jobless alcoholic.
Been playing Fallout 76 with bros. It's honestly not that bad if you have at least one other person.
Other than that, HL2 VR, 7 Days to Die, and sleep.
Turning 31 in a week. Mostly just playing WoW Classic, only because some real life friends wanted to play it. Having some fun with it, but that doesn't really change the fact that I'm depressed as frick.
32
Pretty miserable, gaming just doesn't bring me joy anymore, I just play because I'm addicted.
The lads and I have managed to organise a weekend LAN party coming up, that'll be fun at least (even if mostly just from catching up with old friends).
Getting out in the woods again recently, spent new rig fund on gucci equipment instead. Now I harvest immense joy from being in nature, and begin the long climb back up to physical fitness so I can pull my wife's fit friend and procure myself a much deserved second wife (assuming my plan to convince the first that she wants it goes well, she loves breasts I'm sure it'll be fine).
I bounce between playing KSP, return to castle Wolfenstein, postal 2 on hestonworld and contractors on vr, I got almost through the campaign in bonelab but I just learned I can change my character by pulling a strong on my arm.
>Mfw 34 and looking from my monitor to my tv to my left has fricked up my deck causing dizziness, light sensitivity and tired inflamed eyes >Sent by doctor to physio therapist >Do exercises for it >They inflame my upper back muscles and cause the same symptoms further up the line
I have spent the last months playing Genshin and Xenoblade Chronicles 3, glad that I finally got Nilou and I think it's time to finally finish Xeno 3, I have been doing tons of quests.
I have a massive backlog, just recently bought Splatoon 3, COD Modernwarfare 2019, Glyph and haven't touched them, not to mention I have other 300+ games on the backlog, thinking on playing SOMA for the Halloween
Playing Lost Judgement. Blowing off the main plot for school stories. Waiting on P5R on PC and Sonic Frontiers. Bayonetta 3 looks poop voice drama aside so waiting on reviews.
Almost 40 years old here
Just played picrelated
Best writing I've ever seen in my 30 years of gaming
I award this game the title of "Masterpiece", right up there with the best of them
Truly, more of a piece of art than a game
I hate that I got distracted during my playthrough of this. I want to return to it but I can't even remember what was going on when I last played. I've ruined the pace.
Just start from the beginning
I did a first play-through where I kind of rushed it after the mid-game, cause I really wanted to see the ending
I'm doing a second now, to do all the side-quests and take my time enjoying it
Probably gonna do a 3rd one and be as bad as possible and get the achievements
Playing wrath classic because I never got to play wrath.
>heirlooms have broken secondary stats but work in dungeons as of yesterday >No RDF so you can only functionally get dungeons (on fresh server) during primetime hours while leveling >so basically no heirlooms
Just about done with this non-sense in all honesty.
Just turned 29, Im set in my ways in terms of vidya, after a finish this semester of my masters, im taking some holidays to play my favourite classics.
Ive stopped playing FPS altogether since I just cant be bothered keeping up. And now theres a pain in my shoulder that wont go away.
But otherwise life is good. Far better than my early 20s.
>27 >learning to do things around the house
Just finished insulating a wall, working on converting attic into a living space, lots of work there. Got tired of IT and want some alternative. >got Steam Deck, catching up with backlog, playing some new games, too
Finally got around to play Bastion start to end, want to continue with the rest of SuperGiant games.
Picked up JetSetRadio, and damn, I sure am bad at games.
Got Yakuza bundle, too, Yakuza 0 is simply amazing.
YouTube is probably one of the best ones. Just look up what you are interested in, there is probably someone doing it while recording and maybe commenting.
Some channels that I have watched are Home RenoVision DIY, Skill Builder, Urban Plumbers, and you will find a bunch others in recommendations and if you look around.
The second resource would be going to manufacturer's website, they will often have step by step guides on how to do something, because they want you to buy (and use) their product, so e.g. if you want to waterproof a bathroom, the guide will tell you about using their different products and how to pick the right one.
Last but not least,

Don't think I've finished a new game since Elden Ring. I tried XB3 but didn't care enough to finish it. Waiting for Rabbids Sparks of Hope now.
About to start a new job where it sounds like I'll have actual work which is scaring me since my 2 jobs before this I've basically had no work and just killed time on the computer all day. I don't think I know the shit I should with my years of experience on paper.
42 year old here. Been playing PlateUp! and Inscryption as of late. Did enjoy Elden Ring, though. Got a big backlog of horror games I should be working on for the spooky season, but that requires time and effort.
what a comfy thread. I just turned 25 recently and I've been playing rimworld mainly and really want to get into dwarf fortress. the only multiplayer games I've been playing are games like for the king, vermintide 2, and barotrauma.
This year, I started going back to beat games I never got the chance to enjoy like the elder scrolls games (working on morrowind), Deus ex GOTY, DMC (beat every single one, especially 2 and DMC:DMC), and some other action games like yakuza and vanquish. all great games so far.
It's funny. I'm turning 30 and with some disposable income to spare I've finally been able to buy every videogame I ever wanted to play. I got something like 300+ games for NES, N64, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, 360 etc. but I can't even remember when was the last time I played anything for more than 10 minutes.
Because playing a videogame is not necesarily about the game but the context.
It's pure personal speculation, but when you wanted to play that game back then you wanted to play it at that moment, at that age, within that cultural context and at the place that you knew.
For example: Playing a Star Wars game feels much different than playing it during the prequel era between 2004-2008 when those game exploded in popularity, or another example, playing battlefield 3 when all your friends got it and had minor or less the same skill level.
So, if I were to replay MGS right now instead of when I did when I was much younger feels much different because I have played other MGS games, in fact, I have played many other games with very different systems and everything feels much more derivative. But not only that, but now I have to work and my time is much limited so I can´t myself as easily with a game that actually asks you to inmerse in its world and the novelty is out so there is barely any point in discussing it outside nostalgia and not even all old games are worthy of nostalgia.
In a sense, when we try to recapture those moments passed opportunities of the past we fail badly, because the present is no longer the past and the opportunity was then, not now.
Waiting for my new PC to arrive to start getting into anything long-term so I have been playing Rumbleverse on PS4. I swear, the gameplay is a good as the art is bad and then some, it's worth it to give it a shot if you like melee combat in any capacity.
Turned 26 last month and I've been browsing Ganker and Ganker nearly daily for 13 years.
39
Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PC right now. Yes, I admit the anime was a factor in giving the game a second look (especially since it was half-price), but I think it's actually pretty decent. Likely give it at least one playthrough and then hold off until the expansion pack.
Been playing stardew valley again because ape added new 1.5 stuff. Got the island obelisk so I'm probably going to make infinity dollars off wine just to do it and move on to yakuza 3.
>turning 21 next week >went bald in high school >5'6" and dark skinned >About a month ago some girls passing by me on the street called me out and started making fun of my head and laughing >KHHV
now I'm a genshin addict and am really hoping that Atomic Heart isn't a scam game
But seriously, don't waste money on gatcha, you know damn well what will happen if you get sucked into that hell hole. I only ever played F2P F.E.H to know that gatcha is dangerous.
Women are hilariously shallow and you should take comfort in knowing those uppity prostitutes will likely end up as bitter cat ladies.
Improve yourself and snub b***hes, anon. You've got this, king!

Lost over 70lbs this year and feel healthier than I did in most of my 20s. Should get around to playing Castlevania games now that it's the second half of October. Most likely going to play 1, 3, and RoB.
I just got the triple crown in Spyro Ignited trilogy. 120%, 100%, 117%. I don't know what to play now. I was considering getting Splatoon 3, or circling back around for Horizon Forbidden World. Because honestly, I'm just waiting for the Megaman Battle Network collection to drop.
36, just finished an Elden Ring replay where I fought every boss with just a strength build with no summons. It was utter bullshit and while I'm kind of pleased with myself it feels ultimately pointless to do.
Now I'm reinstalling Resident Evil 7 so I have a Halloween game to play.
29. All of my favorite games I've played to the point where they are not enjoyable anymore and probably never will be again. Everytime I try a new game it's shit and doesn't keep my interest.
This isn't always true in my experience.
I can and will have a yearly playthrough of Half life and while I admit Xen is an utter turd the rest of the game is as fun as it has always been.
>Jedi Academy still has the best saber combat in ANY star wars game.
god I wish you were my friend anon. My friends only ever want to play the current fotm or tarkov or other gay shit like that, the idea of playing the PEAK lightsaber combat game is repulsive to them solely because "it's old" and "they've played it already". Even though when you played any 1 PS4 game, you played them all.
it's honestly as good as ever, and dirt cheap on GOG. Depth of gameplay never changed. Magic is fun as frick. Now I also know when you start campaign on Extreme and never change it, you'll get a ridiculously strong artifact for beating the campaign, +20 to every stat or something similar
WBC2 is another game that was just one of its kind, a masterpiece frozen in time.
I'd love to pick it up again, might get a gog copy but i just watched some footage again to rejog my memories, and I didnt remember that the game had low hp heartbeat sounds, that shits like nails on a chalkboard to me, some ptsd misophonia or some shit, (had myocarditis a few years back, was basically forced to listen to my own heartbeats every hour for a few days.)
pretty sure you can turn those sounds off specifically

oh frick, that's fricking awesome, im about to go relive some memories then. seriously though whenever heartbeats pop up in a videogame i end up going stiff and get shivers down my back, it's so fricking crazy, more games need the option of no heartbeats.

I'm feeling particularly nice tonight, I reinstalled just to check for sure for you anon
Jedi Academy is just way too kino, no one will ever top it, the movie battles mod is pretty good to but I'm not very good at it, I've seen some pretty fricking good duels in it though.
28, im trying to decide whether i want to buy a PS5 or not, as my country has them in stock, only really play on consoles nowdays, pc has a i5 4690k and a 970, so i'd have to upgrade the whole rig and I don't have that kind of money.
main thing I'd get it for is to play cyberpunk, the new sonic, star ocean, multiplats, and the new final fantasies in the future, without submitting my ps4 pro to further torment.
I also hate the way the ps5 looks design wise, should i wait for a ps5 slim or something? maybe an all black model?
thats still a very respectable rig, anon. GPU prices are falling, and ive played graphically demanding games with new pentiums and i3's. just save up a little and get all those games for free.
27. The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa was the last single player game I beat back in 2019. Helped me get through being an alcoholic. Gave me something to do while wasting away for 1.5 years.
Highly reccomend if you're willing to put up with some jank. Great soundtrack and atmosphere. Combat is beat em up tier. 4 different fighting styles you can unlock. Boxing is OP. In the game and IRL.
30 here
I can't remember the last time I finished a game
I install a game on a Friday night, play the frick out of it all weekend then it's back to work for the week
With work and working out I end up with little time left during which I'm tired and unmotivated to game
Then the weekend comes around and I already lost interest in that game so I move onto another
Currently playing through Prey (2017) on a full human run. Sneak attack with a shotgun do be exploding everything
>Motorsport manager
11 days and 120+ hours sunk into it and im addicted
Slight buyers remorse instead of pirating it since it only received 3 or 4 months of patches then it was abandoned
>32 years old boomer >playing GameCube Ocarina of Time and windwaker
yup those are good games. >playing a bit of scron
I don't understand what the youngilngs are into but that isn't a game. they should try God of War 2 hd remake on ps3 or even god of war 3, and even other games like Twilight princess on the GameCube, those are games.
opposite for me, orgasms were shit for a while but then maybe 2 weeks ago they've been strong as hell. more so than they've been for a long time. What's strange is that I haven't changed anything up with my diet or jerking habits outside of just getting more sleep so I dunno.
as for OP's question, just finished Carrion. Enjoyed it a lot despite how confusing the overworld map got when trying to go back to older levels for collectibles. Looking forward to replaying P5R this week and FFXIV.
Thought about getting into Digimon games given pretty much each game is extremely different from each other. Before getting into Digimon World 2 which seem a bit grindy I decided to go for Cyber Sleuth first instead for a more casual experience. You can tell they direct translate most of the game if not Google Translate it, it is awful but I was never interested in the story anyway. Sadly the game isn't much better. Normal you can literally let auto battle play the game for you but if you try to start off on hard the tutorial digimons will basically nuke your starter off of the gate and you have limited healing items/money and you don't get access to team building features until like 10 mins later. It not like Pokemon either where you can save scum throwing a Pokeball and hope you get lucky, you have to scan a Digimon at least 5 times (10 if you want a nice amount of bonus potential for "free") so you basically have to save scum the "throwing the pokeball" bit 5 times before you can even really get started. Pretty sure they didn't play tested hard mode whatsoever and just slap it on as an afterthought with a raw x3 multiplier to all incoming damage while halving your own attack power. Really sucks as the options are so easy it isn't fun or so hard that it isn't fun. I want to be challenged without it becoming a save scum-level of puzzle. The game is heavily flawed in multiple ways (no skipping cutscenes or even fast forward text without mods being a big one) to the point it feel like a low budget bargain bin game despite featuring a high grossing IP. Despite having simple animations and features it still oddly feel like it is poorly put together as it is extremely easy to break the game just by doing simple stuff such as pressing A and B at the same time. Mostly playing it just to see what Digimons exist nowadays but I'll be hard press to say I'm having fun. So bad the grinding and side quests are more entertaining to me than the main meat of the game.
Move closer to your job when able. My commute is 20-25 minutes round trip and I either play vidya or watch anime/wrestling nearly every night (half the time with friends on a call).
I did that for like a month then said frick it and stayed in a rental home with 4 other dudes for about a year.
Shit sucked but was better than losing basically a whole day of my life every week to driving.
It’s a help desk position. Can’t be done purely remote since old devices from different offices go to where I work and they need to be setup. Their main corporate office is just 20mins from where I live and my boss said it might be possible to work from there instead but they still have to discuss with the team. Only been with them for 3 weeks

Cyberpunk77, Warframe, LoR and MTG Arena right now. Waiting for Baldur's Gate 3. A few months back it was Pathfinder:WoTR and Noita. >Warframe >Legends of Runeterra >Magic The Gathering Arena
Those ones i keep always installed and fill in with singleplayer games.
Gundam Evolution, some Phasmophobia whenever my brother wants to play it, he's a big pussy, but likes the game for some reason. and going through my yearly Gears of War 1-3 play through.
Does anybody feel like the hobby is pointless, like watching movies or reading pulp books? Was there anything useful game ever though you? I feel stressed by starting a game because I know it will be hours that I never get back and should do different things.
>humanity only has a few centuries left anyway so have fun.
I'm unsure of this. The current political situation looks pretty grim but nothing lasts forever, the pendulum will everntually swing the other way even if it takes a generation to do. The moment we get a few small colonies off Earth we'v reached a win-state as a species, and I doubt there are other civilizations for millions of light years that could do anything about it, because advanced life is likely a once in a galactic supercluster kind of thing.
Personally I see it as dementia prevention if I need a reason to justify it for myself. Honestly though most of life is pointless once you are dead, is it wrong to enjoy what little time you have just for the sake of it?
I'm a software dev so games can still be interesting even just from a technical stand point.
I like to wonder and break down how certain mechanics or visual effects are done in games.
Been possessed to achievement hunt in Outcore of all games. Once that's finished, will finish off my run of Little Witch Nobeta (man that game's short) and finally starting on NEO TWEWY. That aside, waiting for the content drip in Warframe to give literally anything.
That aside, I just want to wake up one of these days and feel like everything'll be alright like when I was a dumb kid.
kenshi
rimworld
dwarf fortress
red orchestra 2
space station 13
starsector
empire earth 1 just to frick around in the sandbox mode

zombie panic source

crusader kings 2 with a bunch of mods
34yo boomer here, I just replay the same games I've loved since I was a teenager. These days it's starcraft, tf2 and some quake live. I have accepted that I'm not a "gamer" just an enjoyer of certain games.
I keep an eye on new games (which is why I'm on Ganker rn) but they always bore me quickly. the only new game I played more than a few hours in the last few years is Elden Ring.
I used to play shooters at a high level when I was a teenager so I can definitely notice my reaction time being a little worse now at the age of 30, but I can kinda make up for it with experience, what actually makes me worse than my teenage counterpart is that my drive to improve is gone.
>25 >gave up on all genres of games except for fighting and card games >looking forward to SF6 >play yugioh and magic with friends >2 of my friends have had their gfs since we were in our first years highschool, 10 years ago now >meanwhile I'm khhv
on one hand it's very cool that my group of friends have stayed in touch and continue to hang out but i also feel lonelier than ever
Playing OW2 as it brings me back to the good ol days of 2016 before my life went to shit.
Also my exfiance wants to get back together and idk man I would like to try again but shes had a bf since ending our engagement, and is still a BPD b***h. Altho medicated now. but also she likes vidya and we used to play Warzone and Rocket League together.
No. Stop. Leave. Do not engage with this woman. They will always lie about themselves to make them feel desirable and you'll feel like a dumb ass when she slashes your tires and burns your stuff for some perceived slight. There is no fixing or saving BPD bawds.
>How you fellas holding up?
How am I holding up? I'm 25 and I have done nothing with my life, everyday is pure agony and I feel like shit. I don't know what's wrong with me anymore. I tried going to uni since I was 18, I tried so many times to study. I changed degrees, I don't even know what do next, everything I start I end up quitting in a matter of days or weeks. I can't make progress in ANYTHING not even some small programming bullshit course that I end up dropping it, not even a drawing course, nothing.
Everyday feels like an absolute loop, an absolute endless loop that is a living hell where even if I tell myself I'll change I go back to the same shit. I haven't done anything, I haven't travelled, I haven't enjoyed life, I haven't done anything but being stuck for fricking years out of highschool. I didn't even move out of my mom's house and we hate each other. Life is hell on earth and I'm already getting fricking old. I spent the prime years of my life suffering while other people are just fricking riding aquatic motorbikes or some shit lmao
I've been telling myself that since I was 20 and I was still failing and failing to find my path in life. All the years I've suffered are lost, my prime years spent locked inside a room without money and without a good brain to escape out of it. LOL I talk as if it's over somehow. godspeed to everyone
Here's a boomer pro tip: it doesn't matter what age you are, but what age you look like. As long as you look under 30 then you're fine. It's not over until you start balding.

I didn't get my shit together until my mid-to-late 20's. I found that I preferred taking online classes, got my B.S., got a good job, got a girlfriend... etc. That was almost ten years ago. What I have learned is that life is weird, and unexpected things can happen. Your whole life can get flipped upside down, for better or worse, at any time.
I platinumed Hades a week ago.
Started Subnautica after which I was really enjoying but I've rage quit after the game twice crashed during a save losing hours of progress each time. I'm not playing something where I've got no surety I'll be able to keep my progress. Pity, if it weren't for the bugs and the slowdown it'd be great.
I moved on to Cuphead but not loving it so far, it's okay.
Playing Fall Guys with my mates as its such a simple game to play and slowly grind out.
Play Pokemon with the Mrs. on the Gameboy Player but my ol GC is on her last legs so I'm looking to get a refurbished one or something.
Minecraft is chill to play at times.
Play Isaac and allsorts really. My wife doesn't b***h when I play games and we have our own hobbies. My mates aren't so lucky and are forced to spend time watching TV with their terrible boring gfs.
24 here. Hard to believe ive been on Ganker for over a decade but this thread made me realize it.
Anyway, Planetside 2, Project Zomboid, Deadspace trilogy (Currently on the first), Sim City 4.
>"Hey anon you remember memes" >"Ohh I remember memes. Those were the good old days, hey nurse dicks out for Harambe!" >"Mt. Anon please put you're penis away! If I have to tell you one more time you'll lose your fortnite privileges." >"Hahaha got eeem *cough cough*."
If you're old and miserable and still playing games, stop and work on your life first, because if you don't it's only gonna get worse till you rope at age 50 or something.
Haven't been playing a whole lot, just booting up Umihara Kawase every so often, mainly just waiting for MW2 at this point. Omori was the last game I finished which was back in early August and it's stuck with me hard. I couldn't bring myself to play anything else for a couple weeks after finishing it
just binged 4 hours of this, God damn it's good, really loving it so far
I'm getting a little bit lost in the cliff area with all the ropes (Greenslit), got about 4 shields, got the headlamp but forgot where the Trollhole is, also just got my ass kicked the wraith back in the starter area after taking the lift with the crank
I only wish the map had just a tiny bit more information. and what's the deal with this sign? thought the creature on the picture would be down there, but nothing by the looks of it
well, thinking I should get rid of hobbies (gaming is always on the menu).
Mostly attracted to JRPGs, adventure and exploration titles and trying to explore new multiplayer games but still attached to MCC.
trying to be a simple man is difficult
GG Strive crossplay beta, it's fun. Glad I can still learn combos and new shit at almost 30, being relatively casual to fighting games. I only care about my wife Ram (still don't have a real one...), though, nobody else
Also just gave BOTW a try for the first time. So far it's been okay but it haven't grabbed me yet. Does it get more exciting when you leave the plateau? Or is it still just endless Bokoblin camps?
Linear single player games from the backlog. I am doing Witcher 3 now that I never finished when I started.
Too tired to play anything, watched Jerma play some BotW but I fell asleep after 20 minutes or so
He's funny in small doses but I have a hard time watching long streams.
I'm 26, recently just been playing CRPGs and shit like that, I'm thinking about getting back into some fps like back in the old days.
>TFW replaying Max Payne
Holy shit i forget how much damage npcs deal, i am getting curbstomped repeatedly and highly enjoying it. Never played Max payne 3, will play it after i finish 1 and 2
struggling to keep up with uni while still wanting to spend all day playing classic wrath of the lich king and also terraria since the new update. only like 6 weeks left until i'm free for christmas and can go full degen
I've been playing BUSIN0
Back4Blood, and the hate toward it is completely unjustified.
Just play left 4 dead instead
Played to death, so no. Back4treats is a good spiritual successor to it.
>and the hate toward it is completely unjustified
it's definitely justified but ok
have a nice day troony
b-b-b-but the zombi said LE Black person
Video games are a waste of time. Come back to them when you're established with a profession that nets you a decent sum.
I am though.
I'm playing bloodborne right now and slay the spire on switch. Waiting for persona 5 to come out so I can play that on switch instead.
What are you doing here then?
Career is a waste of time because in the end you just die like any other NEET and then nothing means anything anymore.
no one younger engaged in a "creative," career makes six figs
>that much hair on his head
fake gamer
Just don't have shitty genetics.
I still have all mine, I really don't get how zoomers are mass balding
I have full hair but at 26 I'm starting to see silver hairs
I dont know how to feel about it. I dont want to dye my hair though, thats pathetic as a man
you're good dude, just be thankful you're not a zoomer and balding at fricking 16
yeah could you imagine, jesus christ I dont think I'd be able to cope.
Silver hairs are an improvement, just be happy you're not bald and sporting a onions boy neckbeard. You're probably more attractive than you think.
I've read that people like salt and pepper hair online but I don't know if it's cope or if people actually like it.
I think its the truth for a lot of women, the ideas of beauty for men and women is very different.
Most men want to look like as ripped as WWE wrestlers, most women find that paradoxically threatening.
So I think that when women say that like a small amount of greys, they mean it, even if men think its a sign of weakness/age.
It ain't fair man.
is it hereditary baldness or because of whats being put in your body
>On the other side, what could you put into your body to cause hair loss?
Depression/Anxiety.
Didn't know sleep could affect hair loss.
>29
>Hairline hasn't gone anywhere.
>More and more greys each time I get it cut.
>tfw 34 and still a full head of hair but started gettings greys heavily during the last 2 years because stress at work
As someone with a thinning crown at 27, this is like being homeless watching some billionaire complain about first world problems. Frick you buddy, at least you still got all your fricking hair.
One day I'm gonna slaughter every motherfricker who whines about gray hairs while still having his hairline intact.
Still full hair 30 now(Asian)
Saw gray hair since I was 22
>Full Hair
>Asian
Figures, I've noticed most Asian blokes I see on the street that aren't mixed have fricking amazing hair.
What's the secret Asianon?
I nave neckbeard tier game completion and literal super saiyan hair, what are you on about c**t
>27
>full hair
>barely any beard, yeah it sucks but whatever, are least I have a nice jawline
>single, and not interested in relationships
>well paid job on weekdays, vidya and hanging out with my friends on weekends
I'm pretty good
Scorn, Overwatch 2
waiting for Persona 5 and 4 for Xbox (already played 3 to death, want to replay 4 and 5) and Atomic Heart
>tfw 32
>started balding this year
I guess I can't complain too much, my dad was balding in his early twenties
Hopefully if I have a son he will keep his mane until his forties
>both grandpas had full heads of hair up until the end
>father had a full head of hear at ~50 (last time I saw him)
I may stay a fat ugly bastard until the end, but at least I'll be a hairy fat ugly bastard
>Mfw I started taking finasteride last year
Who here /safe/?
>finasteride
How is that ED treating you
Does that shit actually work, putting chemicals on your scalp should do the opposite of hair growth
>Most of my older family members still have full heads of hair no problem
>Uncle even has long as shit hair despite being in his 60s
Feels good to not have shit genetics.
Is this the new neet thread? last one just got 404
>Watcha been playing?
Supreme Commander, its okay
>25+
>neet thread
do Gankerers really?
>Neet
Holy moron
The usual.
Been replaying Stronghold Crusader in it's entirety. Before that I played a couple of the Sherlock Holmes games which I found pretty good.
Same but I didn't download scorn yet and cultic wasn't on my list wtf why can't a synchronize
Just turned 34
>Destiny 2
>Forza
>Genshin
Playing chess. That's it.
I'm not 25 yet but I've been playing too much gundam evolution and watching gundam shows
same. remember to watch in chronological order if you're BASED.
That game already fell off the top 100 steam games....4k players and dropping. Bamco fricked up big time. Top steam games have a lot of garbage I. The top 100 it's sad to see a game completely die and fall out of the top 100 . To be a top 100 steam game you only need 3k players
27. Darktide beta, Rising Storm 2 and Titanfall 2. Also HYPER DEMON, but I'm terribly ass at it.
i just play the same shit ive been playing for the last 8 years
Genshin
Sekai
Bombergirl
don't really have time for anything else
Only GBA/PSP/DS/PS2/Cube emulated games on my phone and some minor gacha that reminds me of my childhood like RockMan X Dive.
Modern gaming fricking sucks.
Incredibly bored of almost anything and think gaming is in a dire state. Dota 2 is keeping me occupied at the moment, also watching The International atm.
Same, gaming for me has slowed down significantly in the last 5-6 years. At least it gave me time for other hobbies.
Honestly. Gaming just isn't that much fun anymore. I can manage about 30 mins a day before getting bored. Playing Scorn atm. I've taken up reading too now.
>I've taken up reading too now.
What have you been reading bro?
I just miss when I could go in an MMO like WoW and put stupid ass names on my characters and guild names with my friends without getting banned
I still remember having the arena team name Gaykids
It was so easy to meet like minded people that way.
Now nobody chats at all, what a time to be alive.
DungeonFinder-esque systems killed all that
WoW Legion was the last time the game was good. I remember chat was wild 24/7 anytime I'd log in. It came out in mid 2016 so the chat was always political and mostly memes
>the chat was always political and mostly memes
that sounds like fricking hell
>I still remember having the arena team name Gaykids
>It was so easy to meet like minded people that way.
Grindr exists.
but people laughed at it bro im not gay wtf
I remember mw2 lobbies, everyone having dogshit xbox mics, screaming calling eachother homosexuals, quickscope lobbies, getting death threats from 12 year olds when you joined a lobby with a shotgun and shit. It was the same with Halo aswell. No one wants to talk now because no one wants to get banned.
good change. no one wants to read your gross shit. fricking manchild i swear...
>good change. no one wants to read your gross shit. fricking manchild i swear...
are you really over 25 and mad that you can't say moronic shit anymore? normal people don't want to hear the nword or death threats. they just want to play a game.
your mindset i insane to me. shit it must be low iq genes.
That's very funny.
>i don't see the fun in calling someone a Black person. it's a game you dipshit.
because I am calling you a Black person for fun anon? Have you ever thought that people use that foul language for reasons other than to express their disdain for losing?
Half of the words you list can be said and taken in jest.
>do you do the same at a monopoly table?
I would yes. Because calling you a homosexual for nabbing Park Place and and Boardwalk Ave. from me would be very funny to me. Its the fact that such extreme language is used in the context of a no risk game which is precisely why its fricking hilarious anon. The fact that you need this explained to you means you need to lighten up more. Quoting you:
>it's a game you dipshit.
have fun and don't get mad when someone says one of the words you don't like.
>Don't delete system 32
>Don't forget rule 34
>Don't take offense to some random on the internet calling you a Black personhomosexual. You're not a Black person or a homosexual so who cares? If you are, they don't know that so reacting will just give them more ammo lol. Besides, he's just some rando on the internet.
>Have fun on that there niche internet website where other homosexuals can talk about their niche interests with you. Like Japanese cartoons, Japanese freeware games you can download and patch into english, or learning animation in general.
just say you're a virtue signaling zoomer next time
>nword
Black person. The word is Black person. Don't be afraid of words. It makes you sound like an f-word.
Sorry, was meant for
. What can I say? I'm old.
Replying to the wrong anon makes you look like a real R word.
Are you really surprised?
Do you really think any sane adult over 25 spends significantly amount of time playing games and on top of that complains about not being able to use slurs as their nicknames? LMAO
Why are moronic zoomers allowed around here
Keep using buzzwords in your 30's you're doing great
Don't ever reply to me again cuckold
Yeah, finding likeminded children, you were supposed to mature. If you were able to do that now it would just be 13-15 year olds hanging out with an old man.
Why would you give something a homosexual name like Gaykids? Where you grooming? Probably.
Grooming kids wasn't a hot topic back then, it was meme shit, people would get a chuckle out of seeing it and it'd be even worse if you lost to it.
Assetto Corsa ad infinitum. Do other games even exist any more?
Same but I'm a Dirt Rally 2/RBR gay
I start my MBA program in 15 days, so I’m trying to platinum Valkyrie Elysium before then. I have one more weapon to get SSS proficiency in, then I need to beat it on Hard, then I’m DONE.
All right kids, recommend me a game that
>was released after 2020
>is not a part of a franchise established before 2020
>is actually good
Death Stranding
potato flowers in full bloom
chivalry 2, pretty good for quick matches in between other shit
Waiting for a sad greentext story about very hard life in the first world with an expensive PC.
Black folk who cant figure out farming dont negate general human suffering throughout the rest of the world
Being a c**tslave is not suffering.
been playing YS 8
please recommend me some some good platformers, i'm feeling kinda burned out from work and can't enjoy playing anything more complex than that
Shovel Knight
Castle of Illusion 2013
Rad Raygun
Also play some old arcade games like 720, Black Widow, Major Havoc, Dragon's Lair, & Virtua Cop
I can only imagine in 10 years we will be having 35+ gamers threads instead.
Sure, in addition to 50+ gamer threads
You're here forever.
We already have 30+ boomer threads
You've got "30+" threads all over Ganker lately, people who came here in the 2010s never left, and zoomers mostly stay away from the chans
>Zoomers stay away
Thats a lie, this place is dogshit now, on literally every board.
This:
>Watcha been playing?
Finally modded my PS2 and holy shit being able to play with my saves from like 20 years ago is fricking wild.
>tfw last week I got told I snore in my sleep
its over
stop being fat dude
im not though. it'll happen to you too, that is if you have anyone in your life who will be able to tell you what you do in your sleep
Snoring comes from something with the nose right? or is it just overall airflow? I'm surprised I don't snore, I've got massive fricking tonsils
honestly I have no idea? I should look into it I wonder if theres a way to fix it. I dont want to wear a mouthguard or something to sleep though
I don't think snoring means you HAVE to wear a mouthguard, my dad is almost in his 60s, he's been snoring for basically my entire life and he still doesnt wear one.
I've been playing Train Sim World.
>26
Very good, I’m playing a lot of Splatoon 3 and TF2. My reaction time hasn’t really gone down since I was younger.
Constantly dreading when it does though.
They lose their energy and blame age, they should do Qigong, Ba Duan Jin is an ez form to learn.
Absolutely ridiculous recommendation. They should lift heavy weights and measurably increase their body's total count of mitochondria and their mitochondria to bodymass ratio. Energy does not come from chakras.
What? Have you tested your claim and done Qigong?
its 100% a meme, unless were talking like 60+
As long as you aren't a woman.
>dip at 20
Skewed by gamers.
Do more recent test and you will see it moved further down the line.
just finished pokemon yellow with my 6 year old daughter, now moved on to crystal
she's loving it, keeps asking about which one each one evolves into, and also keeps wanting to check pikachu's mood
offered her the controller multiple times but she just wants to watch
>42
>People think I'm 28
Lmao
Anyway. I've been playing Diablo 2 Rechurtled.
What in hell do you people with your lives you're so fricked up at 20?
>24, almost 25
>unemployed for over a year
>no degree
>hkv
It's over, unless someone magically comes into my life like wish fufillment anime. A third of my life wasted. At least I'm enjoying vidya again, I'm playing civ v, mass effect and cyberpunk.
you are still young. you can still reverse your course if you put in the efforts.
>No degree
Learn a skill, something useful you can do if shit hits the fan, that also makes good money.
Get a trade, like welder for example. Job quaranteed, most pressing problem solved.
I don't know how to weld.
Neither did any welder before they became a welder
If only there was some kind of educational institution to teach people trade stuff.
I'm 30.
Last game I bought was Splatoon 3, to play with bros.
Bought Stray before that. Haven't started it. Might play Gundam Evolution.
>PC broken for nearly a year, fried due to lightning strike
>never bothered rebuilding as we just had a 2nd baby and were rearranging the livingroom, busy doing shit, costs etc etc
>waste the last year on my phone and PS5, too tired to realise how miserable I was
>finally buy 2nd hand tower from a work colleague
>find out Scorn's finally out and I can play it for £1
Life's good again, lads
Started playing last epoch for the first time in a long time. It's been p fun again
how is that game compared to like d2? I've been thinking about picking it up since I've had that itch for a good arpg for a while
It's pretty good these days, a nice amount of build variety and endgame stuff probably worth trying if you like arpgs
I'll pick it up, I'm not a very picky person when it comes to arpgs, I enjoyed the warhammer 40k one and I still play it.
Just beat Pitfall the lost expedition on xbox. Real hidden gem. Just started Mace Griffin's bounty hunter, which is really pretty for the time and holds up
Also playing Miku on pc and Far cry 5 co-op.
Try to put a label on my, I dare you
>Mace Griffin
JADED AND EMBITTERED
I'm about to finish YS IX Mostrum nox, I'm trying to use this weekend to finally finish something, after that I think I'll continue with scorn and then the YS SEVEN and YS VIII
31 and I'm playing Little Witch Nobeta.
Adorable and amusing subject appreciator.
scorn, skyrim, and eroge
27
Getting close to beating Lobotomy Corp with some Warhammer 3 on the side.
Vidya has taken the backseat for TTG lately though.
34 yr with 7000 hours in Rocket League here. I can't get past GC1 due to shit teammates.
XCOM again, it's always XCOM
Excellent taste anon, perhaps we could discuss further as per usual human protocol?
Final Chapter of Yakuza 0
Started the game in Jan 2019, finally finish this off
Replaying inquisitor as a priest. Did the first playthrough as a paladin and I fully enjoyed the dialogue.
I'm also playing d2 resurrected HC ladder.
Started playing DOTA again
Trying to learn EU4 but it's stressful
>Watcha been playing?
Skyrim. Best game of the decade.
The dungeons are a lot less interesting than oblivions
What do you do?
I walk the landscape, whist listening to Soul's awesome score, and do quests. Also have dozens of mods installed that keep me entertained.
Hunt Showdown and Omega Strikers.
I tried getting back into Elden Ring, but I fricking hate it, so I started playing a Thief in Dark Souls 1 instead.
You should play the old horror one on the space station. I don't remember the name. Sorry.
Pic related?
Remember starting it some years ago but never got into it. Might retry it
I found it. I was talking about this.

>surprisngly more normal than the 18-25 year olds i work with.
Man, i never knew i had it so good till i started working with kids who have given up on life before they had a chance. They watch youtubers and play fortnite unironically.

i mostly play fo76
hanging out on discord trade server and in the chatmod
currently searching for a full set of armor, thanks to a new site which sells cheap legacies, i hopefully can buy one soon
Cyberpunk.
I have a broad spectrum of small issues that stack up. It's not exciting, not combat related. Got in a car accident, some moron blew a red light and hit me while I was on my way to a Mod Pizza. Could've happened to anyone, it had precisely jack shit to do with the Army.
That sucks to hear anon, I recommend doing a simple and versatile degree like business. That way it won't stress you out too much and you can branch into other things with the creds you get if you want to try something else.
What kind of disability do you have?
To sort anxiety out you really have to push yourself, put yourself in uncomfortable situations. If you do that it will get better, if you do nothing it will get worse. I say this from experience, do it mate, push yourself.
33 here. I don't play video games no more. I do fantasize about developing my own game though. It would be a retro style game and I'd have full creative control how it looks and plays.
Trying to get back into Minecraft.
Been playing some War Thunder recently downloading Squad too.
26, playing half life blue shift and metal wolf chaos
Overwatch 2 and Scorn.
I don't know if I'm a spaz or just have an addictive personality.
probs ADHD mate, I have the opposite autism where I don't start a new game until I'm finished with the previous one.
If it's a game I like I can sit down and play it for ten hours a day but usually I get bored quickly and move on.
>skyward sword
It's fun somewhat and annoying at times but recommended. I've been trying to find some kid in town that's lost and having no luck.
Playing through Tomb Raider 3 with the intent to actually reach the end of the game. I played through the first and second game plenty of times over the years, but 3 never really grabbed my interest until now.
Finally got to the Antarctica levels.
>Used to make fun of people who play mindless games like Skyrim, Asscreed or RDR
>Currently playing thru Skyrim after finally getting a job at a hospital in my field since I'm too fricking tired to get into anything that requires conscious thought
I'm 31 and I feel like I'm wasting my life when I play videogames
I already have a good job (wfh so it's like being paid to shitpost), I exercise and eat well..
But what else could I be doing instead?
Chasing your dreams is a meme. Browse hobby boards until you find one you like. Mechanical watches are a good start.
I mean how is gardening, climbing, hiking, mechanical watches (?) any different than playing videogames?
I don't understand normalgays
It's not
The difference is all about what you gain and what you lose from it.
25 and playing games, with so many things that you can do outside shit, the only way this would be logical is if you're a neet or some shit
>spooktober
>playing some scary games
>decided to play Dead Space 2
>it came out 11 years ago
I remember playing this on the PS3...hold me bros...
>trying to explain to my nephew what floppy disks were
>dial-up internet
>256 MB Ram cards
>500 GB (!) Hard drives
>Having a childhood without internet all time
The little shits have it so good
>Got two games a year as kid.
>Shits of today have Gamespass
Hard drives still come in 256GB in computees when I last went to Best Buy on Friday
Exactly. And there he is going "Wow, uncle, how is that possible??!?! The new Call of Duty is bigger than your hard-drive hahahaha!"
...Just you wait you little shit, one day, you'll get the Grandpa Simpson treatment too...

Try and find a single player RPG to play
Can't play more than two sessions before not bothering with it anymore
MGSV
Horizon Zero Dawn
Skyrim with the Wildlander modpack
Elden Ring
These were my most recent attempts
Its sad lads i wanna enjoy shit like i used to. might have to go back to my backup genre of RTS&civ/stellaris stuff
Instead of going to your comfort zones try playing something different, like a rhytim game or something
that's a great rec anon ty.
Got the good ol' fricking flu so I'm out for a week, shitposting on fourchins from bed. When I get well enough maybe I'll buy Lost Judgement for PC.
34
It's going badly. Might end up in psychiatry ward again this year. Chronic depression is a b***h.
Played recently:
>Cultic.
Absolutely loved it.
>Scorn
I just messed around a bit, but even though my expectations were low, it still managed to kinda disappoint me already.
>Per Aspera
since it had a free weekend. For a company called "Tlon Industries", I expected better.
>Manor Lords
Pretty neat, I'm looking forward to it coming out properly.
>Capitain of Industry
Good, especially for a 2 people made game.
>Might end up in a psychiatry ward again this year.
29, just finished playing through those blair witch adventure games from the early 00s, just finished the second one yesterday, not awful, not great.
30, flirty, and thriving here: jedi outcast, chess, osrs, and fifa - same shit i've been playing for years
>very close friend my age is engaged and just got a baby
At 28 it feels to young while also feeling like the right time to have it. It's weird thinking about myself to even be in that situation. Anyway that's off topic.
Rayman 3 moded with hd textures, pretty comfy.
FFXIII
Doing great, remembering why I loved the game.
28
Replaying MGSV
Also playing some PS1 games on my phone, like Silent Hill, Pepsiman and Dino Crisis
war thunder
aurora 4x
Stormworks, tonnes of it. I have a load of other games I want to play but building/engineering games consume me.
I'm 30 in a few months but more into games than ever.
>28
>Holding up pretty well considering my life situation right now
>Been playing Deadeye Deepfake Simulacrum, Warframe, BallisticNG, Spark the Electric Jester, Death Stranding Director's Cut, and various games on emulators like Burnout 3: Takedown. Having a blast, especially with Deadeye, that game deserves more attention.
>27
>haven't enjoyed any game in years, short attention span, have no other hobbies, spend weekends doing nothing
>make $300k/yr
only game I played recently for longer than an hour was elden ring but I never finished it because I got bored of the copypasting
Get some hobbies mate
>short attention span
>300k a year
Frick me, going into accounting I can only dream of that kind of income. What kind of position?
software engineer in big tech
33 here.
Doing okay.
I'm going for an education in Software Developer.
Webdesign basically.
Been working in a supermarket for years but now I'm choosing to do something I actually enjoy more.
At my mother in law atm.
Daughter of half a year is fine too.
Gaming Runescape.
Good lad, I'm at uni in my late 20s, it's never too late.
Raiding on destiny 2
Mythoclast WILL be mine
Less novel, sure - but more satisfying.
finished cultic, very good but short
scorn, gameplay is the worst thing Ive ever experienced
I'm doing great. I'm teaching my grandchildren to hate homosexuals and troon. How to not get groomed by discord pedos. Good times.
It sucks when you start feeling the cold
Decided to playthrough Shogun 2 again for some reason, the battles are so much better than the Warhammer garbage it's criminal.
The Uesugi campaign is annoying as balls though
Put a bunch of shit on my deck and been playing Suikoden V on my T.V
I appreciate the setup the game is doing, making you care about the characters though its a bit boring atm, not a whole lot of game here yet.
First game in the series Ive tried so I have the patience to let it do its thing for a bit longer.
definitely play suikoden 1 & 2 when you're done. 5 is pretty good but 2 is the best
I know to much to find happiness in this world
>Watcha been playing?
Darktide, its shit, gonna play some more hell let loose later probably.
>I know too much to find happiness
If you knew it all, that by itself would make you happy regardless.
Really bad take.
It's not a take, it's the truth, I know because I've found it.
What do you know too much of anon?
>it's the truth
last (You)
>knowledge works a certain way because I say so (and I dont even know about what knowledge im talking about)
Why are you getting defensive over nothing, what is this thing you know so much about, I'm genuinely curious.
>getting defensive over nothing,
Looks like your thought process is based on your feelings, not logic (your iq is low).
>I know to much to find happiness in this world
That is not how knowledge works.
That is how idiots think knowledge works.
>I know to much to find happiness in this world
That's the cringiest goth tier shit I've ever read. If you are truly over 25, then you aren't there mentally yet.
>anime pic
>I know to much to find happiness in this world
>over 25
top tier cringe
>Darktide, its shit
Did fatshark pulled a fatshark? i didn't check anything about the closed beta
I usually play Dyson Sphere Program after coming home from work nowadays. It's pretty chill.
>Watcha been playing?
Mouldy (Cyriak) released a new doom 2 wad recently and its an absolute blast as you'd expect from him.
https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/130657-overboard-6-map-island-hopping-adventure-now-on-idgames/
highly recommend
just started playing on the warhammer online private server.
Nothing.
Go outside
Meet girls
Go hiking or some shit
Do aquatic sports idk dude, don't stay inside playing fricking videogames
>I'm going to lecture people on how video games are bad
>I know, I should go to a board dedicated to video games where most people would just tell me to frick off
>Ganker
>dedicated to video games
Gonna go for a bike ride today because video games are shit now
I'm only playing ghost recon breakpoint. Need some other stuff
No Man's Sky
Existencial dread is consuming my mind every night whenever I try to sleep. The night terrors don't help too.
Soul Calibur 6. Haven't played this series since around 2007 or 08, and I'm having a lot of fun with the single player and character creator. Wasn't able to connect to an online match though, which was a bit disappointing.
>tried darktide its ok but no msens is beyond moronic
unironically will keep playing bf2042 for now while waiting for mw22 maybe ill try the cycle and shatterline but i dont like the visual style that much
27, oblivion and osrs
Finished playing Immortals Fenyx Rising friday, it's a 6/10, drags too much
Want to play something short but can't find anything that interest me
I've been playing rougelikes like FTL and ETG a few weeks ago. But now I have no idea what to play lately.
Just finished playing Bayonetta for the first time. It's not that great.
I hate that developers release broken beginner weapons and armor like this because zoomers don't want to play what they paid for just to get to recent content
this is a discord troon groom thread, to make you feel old and shit. don't let these homosexuals gaslight you
I don't care, I'm still going to talk about my favourite games to these trannies until they frick off.
late 27
about 80 hours into Persona 3 FES
i'm too old for long videogames
Subnautica
I got a Steam Deck so when I'm not playing the Darktide beta I'm playing Star Wars Galaxies or City of Heroes on Deck. With some tinkering they both work surprisingly well with a controller and the trackpads.
just spent $200 on vidya i never intend to play
if my nephew is nice to me then I might buy him one (1) video game for his birthday.
For me it feels like I've seen everything singleplayer games have to offer, game stories and mechanics haven't really evolved that much and there are barely any new IPs coming out
If you have any competitive drive at all though, multiplayer will always be good for that
27. 28 in 2 months.
Got me through being a jobless alcoholic.
>old enough to post in the designated thread
Holy shit just kill me already. Anyways, playing StarCraft 2 and pirating Scorn rn.
played a few hours of the Darktide beta, didn't catch on. I'm on the finish line of my Metro Exodus run, will play the shit out of Scorn tonight
Been playing Fallout 76 with bros. It's honestly not that bad if you have at least one other person.
Other than that, HL2 VR, 7 Days to Die, and sleep.
>BF2042
The 64 cq is ok
>you have no idea how bad things really are
Turning 31 in a week. Mostly just playing WoW Classic, only because some real life friends wanted to play it. Having some fun with it, but that doesn't really change the fact that I'm depressed as frick.
25 here
Trimming the backlog, a but of Cultic and Prodeus
Will start Shadow Warrior 3
>32, married, stable job, 9 months old kid.
Finished Bayonetta 2 yesterday, it was fun but not as good as the first one. I'm waiting for modern warfare 2 and persona 5 at the end lf the month.
Completely unrelated but any other dads here, how did you made the transition from breastfeeding to formula?.
Go pay attention to your wife and kid, idiot
Got my ass fricked by nioh 2, fricking brutal game
>44
i love video games, love working from home, love my 5 girls, love this life
25 year old boomer here, I've been playing shadow of mordor.
Also I watch a lot of Oneyplays.
33, playing NAI and fapping to a blond trap I'm generating with stable diffusion.
33
Been playing dead space and dead rising on my steam deck. Finished Perfect Dark on it last week too
mostly sims.
IL-2, arma and squad, occasionaly assetto corsa and DCS, i also played some grand strategy and had a blast with friends
Everything makes me motion sick
Been playing cyberstink after watching edgerunners. Pretty fun game.
the only things I can play these days are rougelikes/lites
Enter the Gungeon
Dead Cells
been practicing melee at 32, even bought a phob controller.
I managed to win an amateur bracket on a local major should've started playing sooner
other than that I play hell let loose or hunt showndown with my boomer friends
been playin some 7 days to die
non modded titty physics?

I have spent the last months playing Genshin and Xenoblade Chronicles 3, glad that I finally got Nilou and I think it's time to finally finish Xeno 3, I have been doing tons of quests.
I have a massive backlog, just recently bought Splatoon 3, COD Modernwarfare 2019, Glyph and haven't touched them, not to mention I have other 300+ games on the backlog, thinking on playing SOMA for the Halloween
29, Inscryption, doing Kaycee mod, shit's fun
It hurts more and more every day and getting harder to get out of the bed
25
I've just started BOI: Rebirth
it's pretty fun, but the risk of rain games are the rougue lites that really got their hooks in
Playing wrath classic because I never got to play wrath.
>heirlooms have broken secondary stats but work in dungeons as of yesterday
>No RDF so you can only functionally get dungeons (on fresh server) during primetime hours while leveling
>so basically no heirlooms
Just about done with this non-sense in all honesty.
Just turned 29, Im set in my ways in terms of vidya, after a finish this semester of my masters, im taking some holidays to play my favourite classics.
Ive stopped playing FPS altogether since I just cant be bothered keeping up. And now theres a pain in my shoulder that wont go away.
But otherwise life is good. Far better than my early 20s.
>27
>learning to do things around the house
Just finished insulating a wall, working on converting attic into a living space, lots of work there. Got tired of IT and want some alternative.
>got Steam Deck, catching up with backlog, playing some new games, too
Finally got around to play Bastion start to end, want to continue with the rest of SuperGiant games.
Picked up JetSetRadio, and damn, I sure am bad at games.
Got Yakuza bundle, too, Yakuza 0 is simply amazing.
Frick yeah, brother. keep up the good work. also catching up on a personal backlog. Yakuza 0 is a fricking masterpiece.
You have any good resources for learning different home maintenance things?
YouTube is probably one of the best ones. Just look up what you are interested in, there is probably someone doing it while recording and maybe commenting.
Some channels that I have watched are Home RenoVision DIY, Skill Builder, Urban Plumbers, and you will find a bunch others in recommendations and if you look around.
The second resource would be going to manufacturer's website, they will often have step by step guides on how to do something, because they want you to buy (and use) their product, so e.g. if you want to waterproof a bathroom, the guide will tell you about using their different products and how to pick the right one.
Last but not least,
has a stupid questions thread.
thanks friend

Trying to finish a couple of games in the backlog,( Ys Origins, Soul Hackers 2, Post game in Neo TWEWY)
Feeling good, though I've been drinking a lot of energy drinks recently.
30
Going to play some legends and revelations 2. The news for dragonball the breakers seems like a decent game as well and heard some people liking it.
The only games I've (re)played to completion in the last few months are Metroid Dread and Alien Isolation.
Nowadays it's mostly Sunbreak, then some fighting games, then some Dragon's Crown.
for anyone if interested in tactical games
https://rentry.org/tactical
Waiting for my new PC to arrive to start getting into anything long-term so I have been playing Rumbleverse on PS4. I swear, the gameplay is a good as the art is bad and then some, it's worth it to give it a shot if you like melee combat in any capacity.
Turned 26 last month and I've been browsing Ganker and Ganker nearly daily for 13 years.
Same except I'm 27 in a month. Also I'm playing RE2make currently. (Though I juggle 100 games at once.)
>Sudden realization that I turn 30 in 2 (TWO) years
B-bro's......I dont think im ready
Nothing changes except physically.
I am 32 this year but still act like 18 all the time.

Got the island obelisk so I'm probably going to make infinity dollars off wine just to do it and move on to yakuza 3.
>turning 21 next week
>went bald in high school

>About a month ago some girls passing by me on the street called me out and started making fun of my head and laughing

now I'm a genshin addict and am really hoping that Atomic Heart isn't a scam game
Frick those prostitutes anon.
Mud Hunter
it will never be the same

Lost over 70lbs this year and feel healthier than I did in most of my 20s. Should get around to playing Castlevania games now that it's the second half of October. Most likely going to play 1, 3, and RoB.
Good for you brother.
I put an autistic amount of hours into Jedi academy and the kotor games on the OG xbox and I'm STILL fricking playing them.
Jedi Academy still has the best saber combat in ANY star wars game.
>WBC2
god, what a great game, I remember spending countless weekends playing that as a kid.
it's honestly as good as ever, and dirt cheap on GOG.
Jedi Academy is just way too kino, no one will ever top it, the movie battles mod is pretty good to but I'm not very good at it, I've seen some pretty fricking good duels in it though.
my left hand suffers a lot actually. keeps getting infected and hurting if i play too much. its not carpal tunnel though, weird stingy pain
In the game and IRL.
steelrising. surprisingly decent soulslike. aegis is a qt

I'm playing Dome Keeper
Hell let loose, Total War Attila, Rome 2, and Empire.
Don't respond to him, he's a spammer who posts in every single thread.

>Motorsport manager
11 days and 120+ hours sunk into it and im addicted
Slight buyers remorse instead of pirating it since it only received 3 or 4 months of patches then it was abandoned
First play rd2 it's pretty good
I play only VR now and it is amazing.
If you aren't in VR, you are literally trash
26 here, busy playing splatoon 3 as well as judgment
>32 years old boomer
>playing GameCube Ocarina of Time and windwaker
yup those are good games.
>playing a bit of scron
I don't understand what the youngilngs are into but that isn't a game. they should try God of War 2 hd remake on ps3 or even god of war 3, and even other games like Twilight princess on the GameCube, those are games.
you might as well play rogue squadron 2 if you have a game cube. that game kicks fricking ass in first person
I will order those Star Wars games on the Cube I have also heard they where amazing games.
Anyone else hit 30 and their orgasms feel weak? I used to get strong ones, now they feel like old man orgasms, it’s not even worth it to fap anymore
Don’t know what happened
I'm 36 my shit is fine. I can hang people with my ropes
opposite for me, orgasms were shit for a while but then maybe 2 weeks ago they've been strong as hell. more so than they've been for a long time.
36, I'm experiencing the exact opposite.
I need to fap less, but when I do I cum so hard I'm satisfied for the rest of the day.
Remember this..One fap a day keeps the horny away!
>orgasm
My soldier refuses to stand at attention anymore. Now I feel happy if it firmly hangs.
Started a new job
Commute both ways is 2hrs +
Get paid 24/hr CDN
Tired and when I get back home and no will to play
Move closer to your job when able. My commute is 20-25 minutes round trip and I either play vidya or watch anime/wrestling nearly every night (half the time with friends on a call).
It’s a help desk position. Can’t be done purely remote since old devices from different offices go to where I work and they need to be setup. Their main corporate office is just 20mins from where I live and my boss said it might be possible to work from there instead but they still have to discuss with the team. Only been with them for 3 weeks
I did that for like a month then said frick it and stayed in a rental home with 4 other dudes for about a year.
Shit sucked but was better than losing basically a whole day of my life every week to driving.
Cyberpunk77, Warframe, LoR and MTG Arena right now. Waiting for Baldur's Gate 3. A few months back it was Pathfinder:WoTR and Noita.
>Warframe
>Legends of Runeterra
>Magic The Gathering Arena
Those ones i keep always installed and fill in with singleplayer games.
28. Some Soucal, fallout, and classic fire emblem. (Gba era).
Gundam Evolution, some Phasmophobia whenever my brother wants to play it, he's a big pussy, but likes the game for some reason. and going through my yearly Gears of War 1-3 play through.
i cant play shooters anymore they give me motion sickness now
28 yr old gamer here and been revisiting ES: Oblivion and probably gonna start Deathloop or Alien Isolation cause October lol
Been playing ffxiv, genshin impact, and deep rock lately
Does anybody feel like the hobby is pointless, like watching movies or reading pulp books? Was there anything useful game ever though you? I feel stressed by starting a game because I know it will be hours that I never get back and should do different things.
Everything is pointless, 99.99% of us will be forgotten shortly after death and humanity only has a few centuries left anyway so have fun.
>humanity only has a few centuries left anyway so have fun.
Any good puzzle games that help with dementia?
I'm a software dev so games can still be interesting even just from a technical stand point.
I like to wonder and break down how certain mechanics or visual effects are done in games.
Been possessed to achievement hunt in Outcore of all games. Once that's finished, will finish off my run of Little Witch Nobeta (man that game's short) and finally starting on NEO TWEWY. That aside, waiting for the content drip in Warframe to give literally anything.
That aside, I just want to wake up one of these days and feel like everything'll be alright like when I was a dumb kid.
kenshi
rimworld
dwarf fortress
red orchestra 2
space station 13
starsector
empire earth 1 just to frick around in the sandbox mode
mount and blade warband mods
zombie panic source
hearts of iron 4
crusader kings 2 with a bunch of mods
almost same
im guessing not space station 13 & zombie panic?
34yo boomer here, I just replay the same games I've loved since I was a teenager. These days it's starcraft, tf2 and some quake live. I have accepted that I'm not a "gamer" just an enjoyer of certain games.
I keep an eye on new games (which is why I'm on Ganker rn) but they always bore me quickly. the only new game I played more than a few hours in the last few years is Elden Ring.
Have you noticed that your skills and reaction became worse?
amphetamine
the opposite happened to me.
rome 2, battlefield 2, hero siege
i just noticed i dont care as much and dont get into it like i used to
I think current me would dunk highschool me at a shooter with no problem.
Don't play much anything with reaction anymore but I'd say I can be just as good but need more time to get back up to speed.
I'd say for strategy competitive I'm better than ever.
I used to play shooters at a high level when I was a teenager so I can definitely notice my reaction time being a little worse now at the age of 30, but I can kinda make up for it with experience, what actually makes me worse than my teenage counterpart is that my drive to improve is gone.
Just finished No More Heroes, about to start NMH2. Not sure whether I should try Travis Strikes Again after this, or jump straight into NMH3
>25
>gave up on all genres of games except for fighting and card games

on one hand it's very cool that my group of friends have stayed in touch and continue to hang out but i also feel lonelier than ever
I need a new job but otherwise doing good.
playan:
>Wasteland 2
>Dark Souls
>Battlefield 2/4/1/5 on and off
Playing OW2 as it brings me back to the good ol days of 2016 before my life went to shit.
Also my exfiance wants to get back together and idk man I would like to try again but shes had a bf since ending our engagement, and is still a BPD b***h. Altho medicated now. but also she likes vidya and we used to play Warzone and Rocket League together.
>getting married in 2022
why though
you got lucky i guess
>bpd
Don’t fricking do it.
she says she's going to therapy and is getting meds so she isn't as bad as before.
modern dating is fricking balls I've been on countless amounts of dates since and it never works out.
oh I'll def frick her. There's a higher chance of her blowing her brains out all over me tho.
>I've been on countless amounts of dates since and it never works out.
>oh I'll def frick her.
moron lol
No. Stop. Leave. Do not engage with this woman. They will always lie about themselves to make them feel desirable and you'll feel like a dumb ass when she slashes your tires and burns your stuff for some perceived slight. There is no fixing or saving BPD bawds.
This sounds like a terrible idea and you are a moron for even considering it.
frick her and then blow your brains out all over her
Finishing up Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and looking for a romhack or something to tide me over until Tactics Ogre
Just upgraded my CPU I'm just emulating old shit until new things come out. Going to finish bayo 2 today but I'm not sure what to start next.
i dont know
yeah suffering is enviable, it's okay to feel bad sometimes.
Trade your bad problems for better ones.
I spent the prime years of my life suffering while other people are just fricking riding aquatic motorbikes or some shit lmao
you're 25, you can turn it around.
I've been telling myself that since I was 20 and I was still failing and failing to find my path in life. All the years I've suffered are lost, my prime years spent locked inside a room without money and without a good brain to escape out of it. LOL I talk as if it's over somehow. godspeed to everyone
You gotta stop feeling sorry for yourself. I would fricking kill to be 25 again, you can literally get a degree from scratch before you're 30.
Here's a boomer pro tip: it doesn't matter what age you are, but what age you look like. As long as you look under 30 then you're fine. It's not over until you start balding.
>It's not over until you start balding.
Hey that hurts.
I'm playing In Sound Mind and Yakuza 7. Finally playing something at least.
I know it's a long shot but if anyone can recommend a good yuri game that would be sweet. And not the RTS kind.
Got a PS5 at a physical store. Waiting on Stellar Blade, but will play other titles.
It goes in Subject and Comment:

>mfw feeling too tired for vidya
Anyway, Planetside 2, Project Zomboid, Deadspace trilogy (Currently on the first), Sim City 4.
ngl, this is a pretty depressing thread to read. i hate being old.
It only gets worse from here on out
Looking forward to seeing 'Gaming Nursing Homes' become a thing eventually though
i'm hoping the technology to replace our biological organs with mechanical substitutes will be there by then
it can be a vibe i guess
>"Hey anon you remember memes"
>"Ohh I remember memes. Those were the good old days, hey nurse dicks out for Harambe!"
>"Mt. Anon please put you're penis away! If I have to tell you one more time you'll lose your fortnite privileges."
>"Hahaha got eeem *cough cough*."
I'm depressed I came to it late. It's 5:37am and I haven't slept. It would've been nice to wallow in depression and disappointment with others.
If you're old and miserable and still playing games, stop and work on your life first, because if you don't it's only gonna get worse till you rope at age 50 or something.
Hi ho who wants to play?

Have one hell of a backlog I cant decide on, and no desire to start new games
Haven't been playing a whole lot, just booting up Umihara Kawase every so often, mainly just waiting for MW2 at this point. Omori was the last game I finished which was back in early August and it's stuck with me hard. I couldn't bring myself to play anything else for a couple weeks after finishing it
I just turned 25 this year and have done nothing noteworthy in my life, is it all downhill from here
I'm 37. I would give everything I own to be able to go back 12 years.
just binged 4 hours of this, God damn it's good, really loving it so far
HOI4, might go for a anarcho-commie spanish run, never done it, but coring each state sounds fun
medievil remake and chivalry 2 mostly... Maybe darkwood next
GG Strive crossplay beta, it's fun. Glad I can still learn combos and new shit at almost 30, being relatively casual to fighting games. I only care about my wife Ram (still don't have a real one...), though, nobody else
Gandam evo, multiversus and recently got myself db the breaker
Pretty fun end of the year
Started yet another playthrough of VTMB.
Also just gave BOTW a try for the first time. So far it's been okay but it haven't grabbed me yet. Does it get more exciting when you leave the plateau? Or is it still just endless Bokoblin camps?
Skyrim,Doom Eternal and Halo 3 on my steam deck. Its been over a decade since I used a handheld and it's really invigorating.
