QRD? Is it the ZSNES of Neo Geo emulation?

pretty much, except I think even ZSNES got updates later than Neo Rage X.

it's the first accurate Neo Geo emulator. and you don't really need anything else unless you want to play online.

              >you don't really need anything else unless you want to play online.
I don't like having lag that wasn't present in the arcade. Or inaccurate audio. Or no support in RetroArch.

Neo Rage X is just outdated.

if you can afford a PC that can run RetroArch comparably to NRX, why don't you just buy an MVS and get all that crap out of the way in one fell swoop? don't tell me it's not in your price range, 'cause it is and you know it. emulators are not really outdated for as long as they get the job done.

most people don't buy a PC to emulate, they already have one that can do the job, the investement is 0 compared to buying MVS shit

Because I already spent near a thousand bucks on my PC. I'm spent out.
                >don't tell me it's not in your price range
It is. Being able to emulate the Neo is just one of many things I use my PC for, and it is very good at it. I don't want or need to spend additional money for extremely diminished returns. I can run Final Burn Neo with run-ahead + hard GPU sync and I have tested my setup to have the same number of lag frames as a real Neo Geo. The RGB output from my computer is actually *better* than real Neo hardware. The sound is probably cleaner too.

There are other reasons on top of these why I prefer emulation. I like being able to use my USB joystick without needing a converter or rewiring. I like being able to hit the home button and start playing an NES or SNES game in a matter of seconds without even getting up out of my chair. I like having all the games for free without having to deal with multi-carts or flash carts, or have to pay for them.

Those twenty bucks here, fifty bucks there, they add up, you know? I play my games on a PC CRT monitor. I'd need a converter to display a MVS on that. Or I'd need to get a 15khz RGB monitor. Both solutions are just more cost.

Congratulations, you hit the nail in the head. The point of this thread is about speculators and things they are willing to get big money for their games, even if someone have to be fleeced.

And you missed the entire point that AF3 English was an elaborate scam where a known collector was recruited to lie and vouch for authenticity

Here's some more info on this dude in case you want a refresher: https://web.archive.org/web/20190715154306/https://neogeoarchives.boards.net/thread/33/legacy-neo-geo-freak

One thing in that write-up that deserves some elaboration is this:
      >There are other compliants about a specific NGF-USA member hitting a "kid" (above the age of 18) at a CGE show, but there was more drama there, than I care to go into.
The guy who got punched was a late stage cystic fibrosis patient, which was known to the NGF crew.
