ITT: The Konami, Capcom, Sony graveyard
is it risk taking or is it these companies giving up before conditioning the franchise?
They think franchise fatigue means its time to move on forever. They don't pace their releases. Oh you like this? Here let me just Dump a fricking truck load onto you. Oh you're not buying the new one because you've haven't even had enough to time to beat the one we released 8 months ago? I guess this IP is dead. Goodbye forever.
True.
Pretty much.
If a proper Chrono Break came out right now it would be a SMASH. But corporates don't have the neural pathways to see it greenlit that way.
Mega Man in a nutshell
I miss this franchise so much.
who was the artist for this one?
according to a quick google Naochika Morishita who also did a bunch of gundam shit.
furries would ruin it in a day be-careful what you wish for
Furries didn't ruin it back when furries were at their peak. We'd be fine. Seriously, when was the last time you or anyone has even seen a furry.
It's literally still played on Dolphin
Nothing captures the feeling of this game. The original soundtrack that' has exciting, energetic surfer metal full of ambient engine sounds, the cool tracks that feel like a bunch of hard-core stock car rednecks designed after they got into hover bikes, and the character artwork that is literally right out of twisted metal 2. I hope incognito makes a proper Twisted Metal game for PS5 then pulls this one out of storage. Also Bloody Roar RIPS, bakurya best character.
Jet Moto 1 and 2 are among my favorite games. I don't know what the hell happened with 3 but I think it's time we got a reboot.
989 studios happened
Sometimes I think Konami bought Hudson out of spite and not as a business move.
Leaving this here again like usual
BR had the meatiest and most satisfying hit animations and impact of any fighter ever. Every move hit like a TRUCK and it was so nice to watch, any other fighting game feels like a wet noodle afterward
legacy of kain ?
I miss when we just got a lot of weird fighting games beyond just whatever FGC shit is approved.
I'm surprised BB even had a sequel
It was more of a tech demo than a game
Square was just pumping out all kinds of stuff back then.
