my gamestop has 2 year insurance for controllers thats only $10 more on top of the controller, if it gets stick drift, battery life length dies, anything, and you bring it in with the receipt, boom brand new controller and of course i put the insurance on the new one too since i'm expecting them to break now and it's saved me so much money buying spare controllers these last two gens because they're all made like shit

Literally every game with a PS5 version uses adaptive triggers and the speaker

    >trigger effects : off
    >vibrations : off
There, now you have a 10 hours battery.
Still waiting for my drift to happen after over 2 years, with daily 3-8 hours use.

      Yeah, stop crying wolf OP

The controller is fine, and much better's than Nintendo's over-designed offerings...

I wish Sony would cut out all bloat, especially the touchpad. Also, it'd be lovely if they ditched this black and white color scheme and went back to gray and black, it's much more iconic.

The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback are really cool, this is easily one of the best controllers I've used

D-pad is also shit. Way worst for fighting games compared to the ps4 which I regard as the best pad for fighters.

      >fighting games
Shit genre that only autist, boomers, and Black folk care about. Hardly matters when grading the quality of a controller.

Dpad being shitty also affects platforms and fast paced games that use the dpad like Tetris and rhythm games

Also other games use their dpad to navigate menus so yeah

Still trying to figure out people saying this yet also watching them getting used in (and to win) Guilty Gear top 8 at Evo when they were on PS4.

I do prefer the DualShock 4 dpad honestly
The haptic triggere and vibration is neat at least

I got a wired 8bitdo Pro 2 out of curiosity since somebody shits their pants about 8bitdo controllers being horrible junk in every controller thread on Ganker.

    This thing is goooooooooood.

I still use an xbox one controller with a cheap 3rd party dual battery pack and charging dock (~£8) that lasts me at least 20 hours of game time before I get the low battery notification.
