BDO is nothing but a bitcoin miner disguised as a game, the pretty visuals amount to nothing when you can't get cosmetics other than the basic b***h ones, the combat is hitting a punching bag who never fights back until your weapon breaks, the pvp is shit because you can't use the e-girl (hurr durr e-girl has like 80% reduced pvp damage), this also become a problem because the e-girl can't defend their mindless grinding space, ultimately the game wants you to idle fish forever so it can mine em bitcoins.

the pve combat is running in circles not hitting a punching bag. cosmetics are buyable with in game silver after 1 hour of grinding per costume every class has reduced dmg in pvp, it's how they balance the skills and afk fishing has been trash for years.

I'm sure the game is "amazing" at endgame since I had a bit of fun with the of max level (?) combat in the tutorial (for a grand total of 2 minutes) but honestly it feels like one of those games where the devs don't bother with the "new player experience™" anymore so it feels like this ship already sailed a long time ago.
buddy, you can skip every thing you just said by just grinding with 2500% exp for 2 hours to get to 60 or 61. All you really need to do is the story to get all the free gear (which is required to upgrade to the pen gear that will ultimately give you free pen boss gear) which is just 4 hours if you do simplified.
Yes, I've played enough kMMOs to know that they always have all sorts of wacky strategies involving minmaxing EXP buffs/routes/events that can be accessed right after the tutorial by using specific items/servers/classes/etc because devs know the low-level content is hot trash and veterans are supposed to create +10 characters to maximize some nonsense endgame system for poor people without black credit cards.
But I like to "play the videogame" before I drown myself in youtube guides and fan-made databases to to minmax my EXP routes and develop self-induced autism. And the "videogame" in BDO didn't do much to me compared to other autism simulators with similar problems.

do not be tricked by this single player "mmo", its is massively p2w trash that you will play alone since grouping nerfs loot and exp.
you buy it for 5$ then get in game and see how much is gated in the cash shop. need 5 UPGRADED pets/combat costume/ingame sub/cash shop item repairs/crafting costume ect. thats an easy 300+ just for the game to feel ok to play. game tricks you with the flashy gameplay for pve then you see everyone else around you doing the same flashy shit. theres zero reason to grind gear besides wallet/GS go up since pvp is dead (no one plays on the pvp channels kek) you get punished for flagging in world pvp too much
