They're not wrong tho
I want a new lost planet. I wanted nothing to do with the western Studios bastardization of the series but very much wanted what they didn't give up on 3DS.
Most of their franchises they aren't using anymore were victims of the 7 year Inafune Curse.
sorry you had to find out that shitty IP you liked was, well, shitty
Pray tell, what IP i am supposedly talking about
megaman was never good (other than the ZX games) and street fighter is a subpar fightan
>he thinks i'm talking about mm or sf
>street fighter is a subpar fightan
Black person
Yes that is the street fighter target audience
>other than the ZX games
Most based man alive.
>(other than the ZX games)
that includes the Zero quadrilogy... right?
Name your favorite video games
>(other than the ZX games)
Well at least your taste isn’t complete shit
Street Fighter is a shitty IP tho
>market a game with the name 'Resurrection'
>everyone thinks it's a remake when it isn't
>sells like shit
>smaller side projects like this will never happen again
fricking Capcom
Resurrection was fantastic. Do wish it had sold better though. Another Demon's Crest would be the holy grail.
Why did they make it look like a shitty flash game?
This message is the only reason I'm aware it isn't a remake.
Likewise
It's more like Sonic Mania was to the original games.
It would have sold like shit regardless. As if an ultra hard game like this would ever sell well.
There's a difficulty selection and a very generous magic system, so the game is as hard as you want it to be. But yeah, GnG's reputation probably pushed some people away.
The default difficulty of the game is the highest difficulty which is pretty much so hard that it's unfair. I bet it was another misled developer thinking hard games are popular now because Dark Souls is popular.
>sells like shit
it sold at least a couple hundred thousand
It wasn't very good
More like:
>make a game for hardcore videogame enthusiasts and ancient dinosaur players who still remember this franchise
>don't make any physical copies at all, not even for the Japanese market
Frick you Capcom, I'm not paying for random 0s and 1s floating through the air.
>30 fricking burgers
>can't be arsed to at least give it a physical edition
>not even nips got a physical version yet they could be arsed to give EVERY Mega Man game one, or the Beat em Up collection
Well frick you too Capcom.
>EVERY Mega Man game one, or the Beat em Up collection
Only Japan and NA got those though, Europe didn't get them, at least not for all games and/or systems. Capcom hates Europe for some reason.
The point to be made is that Capcom has made a physical edition of everything they've released on Switch in Japan at the very least aside from the Arcade Stadium for obvious reasons, yet conveniently omitted GnG.
Hell, they even got full physical versions of the Legacy Collections WITHOUT it being a shitty DL code, but they still couldn't be arsed to make them a physical GnG cart.
Someone big at Capcom wanted the game to fail then. I can't think of any other logical explanation.

While admittedly Live A Live yourself was only possible worldwide due to Nintendo meddling, SquareEnix has almost been consistent in not only reviving old franchise but introduce new franchises at all.
Have you seen Harvestella at all?
After 2014 (when Wada was "promoted") they started reviving old IPs and making new IPs. But there was a 15-18 year period where they were cannibalizing all their IPs to put more money into FF and KH.
>Redditbob
Go back
Both of you need to go back furry Black person
Both cringe
why are japanese company's so autistic?
>why are japanese company's so autistic?
>japanese
>autistic
pick both
Western companies do it too. We just don't hear about them because western gamers only care about AAA games to begin with. People who like Japanese games are much more aware of low to middle budget IPs like Suikoden or Chrono getting screwed.
Seriously. When's the last time Naughty Dog made a Jak & Daxter game? When's the last time Bioware did anything with Jade Empre? Why did Volition say "We can't stop making shitty Saints Row sequels to make Freespace 3, space shooters don't sell." right when people were dumping shitloads of money into Star Citizen?
Well they said that because Everyone who worked on Freespace 1 and 2 no longer work there. So they have 0 experience making such a game and can't be assed to learn when they already have the tools to make boring a shit sandbox TPS.
They're run by out of touch old men who would rather die than be saved by FIRTHYU BAKA GAIJIN PIGGU.
Nobody wants them to be saved by "Firthyu baka gaijin piggu". Capcom had Inafune convince them to do just than and it ruined their reputation and almost bankrupted them for 7 years.
People just want them to touch back on their other franchises instead of sticking with the same 3 they only regurgitate. The Userbase for video games has skyrocketed since the last time they ever dared to make a game in any one of their prior franchises. People get excited for basically anything anymore. No reason to not at least test the fricking waters.
The point is that they're too proud to be reasonable. Admitting that they're at fault would extremely dishonarabur, and then they'd have to cut all their fingers off and commit sudoku. That's just how it is in Japan.
>wanting to be saved by BBC worshipers, hypocritical and moronic femnoids and weak-willed trannies
What kind of subhuman garbage are you? Whitey?!
Konami's a pachinko company now. They didn't even bother with an excuse to drop 90% of their games.
their grandpa died, and the grand kids gutted the company. they make gambling machines, and invest in real estates now.
rip
>publish a mediocre card game
>make it good little by little with several releases
>then make it utter dogshit
Why did they do it bros?
lol no
they still strong in japan because that baseball and train game
>Silent Hills never
FRICKING KONAMI
>this is what capkeks thought when they bought into the megaman gacha
go frick yourselves
not even defending capcom, is there any publisher where this isnt the case
Today I will remind them.
What even happened with this ultimately?
Lasted about a year and a half and died. People complained that it was just using the BoF name for sales as it looked and acted more like a Maple Story wannabe than BoF. Also chock full of MTX.
So much for Breath of Fire VI coming to consoles. God I hate F2P games.
Good
Tbf, they showed they are still willing to do Jrpg with MH stories.
It's just they won't touch BoF.
capcom got normalhomosexual money with monhun. they aren't going back.
But they actually gave MHS a second opportunity.
I think even if Elon Musk offered to sink his entire fortune into the budget for Mega Man Legends 3. Capcom wouldn't do it. I think the cancellation of it and the theater around Inafune is too embarresing for them to reference.
How rude of them to flat shame her
Who's tis cutie pie? darkstalkers?
sauce? which game?
you don't care about this, take your meds.
and you still don't even know what this means
Easy there
My wife
I want Rival Schools back.
Me too, but I'm afraid they'll frick it up if it ever happened.
Best you can hope is a compilation for the 3D games since Crapcum already basically ported every 2D game to modern console even if some of them got censored
>rumblings of a Power Stone revival were false
Goddamn how stupid can you be to just pass up the window where arena fighters were back in vogue? Knowing them they wouldn't even make a new game and just port the first two games and say there won't be a third game as nobody bought the rehashes.
It sucks but it makes sense. This isn't the 3rd or 4th gen where 3 guys sharing a single computer can produce 2 top tier games a year. The resources going into a single game is immense.
>DMC
>RE
>SF
>MonHun
>And apparently Dragon's Dogma now.
Weird that Megaman isn't there. But the point is you can only work on so much at one time. Sure you could increase personnel to work on more games at once, or loan out IPs to other studios, but that dilutes the talent and you end up with games like DmC. Capcom simply has too many IPs to work on, that's just focusing on the moderate to major successes. It's something most developers have if they've been around for a while. It's even worse at Nintendo.
https://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/business/salesdata.html
capcom has been killing it outside some weirdness with outsourcing re3r
ignoring megaman except for collections for this long after 11 feels weird though
like nobody in capcom actually likes him and the collections are just safe projects
In all fairness Megaman never sold all that well despite everyone knowing him, whereas the original SF2 alone is still one of their best selling titles
https://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/business/million.html
Man, SNK was so much better.
I’ll always be impressed by how lilith’s delicious flat chest manages to be even better than morrigan’s perfect boobs
It doesn't. That's why Morrigian is the hot one.
Wrong
Soul
Souless
Where are Capcom's JRPGs like Final Fantasy?
Breath of Fire
lost planet
correct
last good game they made was megaman 11
MAYBE IF YOU BOTHER LOCALIZING IT, YOU COULD HAVE HAD MORE SALES, YOU SQUID SUCKING SONS OF A b***h
i will never forgive capcom for making this instead of finishing legends 3.
Who are you quoting?
Capcom is contractually obligated by the Japanese government to staff mentally disabled people like downs syndrome n shit. No one who has a 3 digit IQ works there. None of their decisions are logical or well planned because it is literally moronic people who are incapable of acquiring normal jobs.
You probably deserve to work at Capcom if you enjoy playing their dysfunctional games or believe they are doing something wrong. Just nod your head and smile and think how nice it is that even the mentally challenged can get jobs just like real humans can.
>let's just spin a giant wheel to randomly decide what platform our next game will be an exclusive for
>years and years of people begging X game to come to X system to no avail
>one day they randomly decide to port one of their most popular games to PC, a system that everybody owns
>entire company is shocked to the core to see that steam sales of P4G are through the fricking roof and slowly they come to the startling realization that their fans actually want to BE ABLE TO PLAY THEIR GAMES WITHOUT BUYING A DOZEN DIFFERENT CONSOLES
With barely any fricking marketing Mega man is now the 4th best selling capcom franchise, after, resident evil, monster hunter and street fighter but maybe that's not enough
The sad reality is that Mega Man games really don't sell that well.
MM2 is the bestselling MM with 1.51m, and 11 still fell short of that with just 1.5m even WITH actual advertisement.
Of course, it didn't help that 11 barebones, never got any DLC, and asked for $30.
If the way the devs talked about MM11 around its marketing period is any indication, it's not the sales that are the problem with MM but that nobody at Capcom really knows what they want to do with it after Inafune left a gaping vacuum for "person demanding more MM to be made". 11 was basically a bunch of fans within the company saying, yeah, we can do this stuff if we put our mind to it. The silence afterwards is probably the team being drafted to other projects without getting to pitch another sequel... if they even want to make one for a while, as they might fear oversaturating the market like at times in the franchise's past.
>tfw snk will make a new fatal fury before capcom brings back any of their old fighting games
literally every single Japanese company ever
This is why i gave up on them ever porting God Hand or remastering it.
No way CAPCOM homosexual execs would allow for this game when it has:
>spanking
>making fun of gays and midgets
>racial stereotypes
>Gene calling Olivia and Shannon b***hes
and other stuff
Even if not speaking of Capcom specifically, you wouldn't want modern Capcom touching the classics you fell in love with. Whether it's your general expectations or just the common amount of competency they are supposed to have, they just will not live up to them.
People seem to be liking SF6 for some reason.
i mean do you think the dude posts about the r.mika super camera change or the dude who posts about the flag changes in SF2 plays street fighter?
the answer is no, and to just accept threads about these games are just doomed to be shit.
I think they've been on a roll for a while now. The only thing I wish they did was be more willing to let their devs come up with new IP's, even if they were just something they're familiar with under a different setting, like Bayonetta. There's Pragmata that seems like it is/went through development hell and who knows what that will be but I'm sure there's a lot of interesting ideas within Capcom that would be perfectly suitable for a one off game, sensible budget, relatively smaller team making everything from scratch.
Easy there, boi
I do, I’m not good at it but I do. Lord Raptor is the coolest fighting game character.
WTF are ya ranting about?
