            That's exactly how it works.
Had a friend that worked for Adobe, those wienersucking executives were grading performance on lines of code written, even if you aren't a coder I'm 100% sure you realize how dimwitted that policy is.

Bit gommie opinion myself but I believe that policies such as what Adobe was doing should absolutely be at least voted by the workers to be implemented. Execs often don't know crap about what the workers are doing.

Because they are the women of programming. The moment one of them manages to worm his way into any position of power, you can kiss the company goodbye. They ONLY hire other pajeets and never anyone more skilled than themselves, so they don't risk looking bad by comparison.

nta depending where you look the price fluctuates. They’re not far off though. A two second search on Amazon and you can get 32gb for about 75 bucks. I’m sure if you put the effort in you could get it cheaper. Anyway, RAM is not expensive all things considered when it comes to PC components.

As you can see I posted the 54 dollar 32gb kit above from Silicon Power. You can find kits from Teamgroup for 56 bucks. With that you are paying a quite heavy Corsair tax all things considered.

Here's the 64gb kit. This is DDR4 3600mhz and costs 115 bucks. 3200mhz can be found for 110.

8GB of RAM should still be able to perform all tasks. Graphics haven't really gotten any better since 2010 and neither did the gameplay systems grow more intricate. Fact is that a vidya's "bloatness" or so to speak has grown absolutely out of control, bottom line is shit that doesn't even matter is forcing you to upgrade your hardware for absolutely no reason other than to feed a machine that has grown absolutely dependent on subsidizes.
This crap will eventually turn into a zero-sum shit scenario. Devs could just fricking optimize their games instead of forcing the whole industry to put up with their bloated bulldust.

The fact that Windows now takes more RAM to idle than PCs that I had some of the best gaming experiences ever on is starting to irk me.
But not as much as people releasing remasters of games that take 10 times the processing power of the original. Something about the diablo 2 re-release recommending an i5 and 16 gb of RAM when I ran the original on my pentium 3 makes me really angry.

Crazy that I had a decent PC back in 2004 that had 1gb memory. It wasn't a top end gaming PC but definitely a decent rig that could run all the newest games. Nowadays my GPU alone has 16 times that. Doesn't feel like that long ago. Doesn't feel like Starfield is 16x better than Oblivion.

Think of this way. Back in 1996 a PC that cost 4800 dollars had just 16mb of system memory (your 2004 pc had 64 times that) and 4mb of video memory. And it only had a 2.1gb hdd. Think about it your 2004 decent gaming rig could hold half of the 1996 4800 dollar pc's hard drive contents just in ram.

Technology advancement sure has slowed down.
