>NOOOOOOO STOP SAYING KINO
too short, and storyline blue balls since it didn't make money. The DLC missions were great, though.
The ending for Criminal Past is fricking great.
I feel like A Criminal Past makes up for the abrupt ending. it was so fricking good.
Man, I really feel like I am missing something on the Criminal Past DLC. I thought it was good, but not nearly as great as everyone made, and continues to make it out to be. I actually thought System Rift was better because I still love the Jensen/Pritchard dynamic and breaking into a "bank" was cool. I hated how in Criminal Past you had to pick between not activating your augs and have your screen flicker and flash red every few seconds for the ENTIRE RUN, or you activate your augs and your screen blurs when you try to use them. You really see the flaws in the enemy AI and the stealth in general when you aren't able to spice things up with augs
I think a lot of it has to do with expectation. A Criminal Past just kinda dropped, and there wasn't much said about it. everyone expected something similar in length to System Rift (about 90 minutes) and instead Criminal Past was like 3-5 hours (depending on difficulty). I also really dug what they did with it narratively. you don't see that kind of framed narrative often and I thought the conspiracy/finale was a good mystery that showed what Deus Ex could be unshackled from the Illuminati canon.
That game sucked, so did human revolution and invisible war. First Deus Ex was alright though.
literally nothing happens except there’s more shitskins crying about racism
>t.hasn't played the game
>b-but the dlc nobody played
Who said anything about a DLC?
No, he's right. One of the major, fundamental flaws with MD is that it gets bogged down in its "aug apartheid" plot that ends up taking up the whole game. What should have been an intro mission, or maybe a "B story" at best ends up being the ENTIRE game. It's an interesting idea and there's plenty to do with that concept, but this is still supposed to be a Deus Ex prequel, so there are MUCH bigger fish to fry that get ignored. The game basically did nothing to move the overall plot forward after Human Revolution and is nowhere near connecting to the original Deus Ex.
He's right though. It's just that BLM = augs/whitey = normalgays.
It's a shame, since I really liked HR. The segregated benches and other shit were a sign that this series got infected with amerishart politics.
You're not redpilled enough, or a bad detective. You weren't paying attention.
>HAARP
>weather control
>seismic bombs
>culturally conditioning democratic countries to accept dictatorship through fear
>literal chemicals in the water
>trying to take the guns
If you didn't pick up on all that you're just a brainlet, the same kind that would fall for the Illuminati propaganda in the game IRL.
and yet all of that is relegated to side quests or otherwise takes a backseat to the main focus of the game which is "AUG BIGOTRY BAD" for 20 hours
And yet it feels way cooler that you have to FIND the real conspiracy instead of having it handed to you.
No, Squeenix wanted the player to engage in those stupid ARG thingies and wanted to push sales for the DX comics so people could discover the conspiracy. Instead of, y'know, actually using the main story to convey the main plot of the game's series instead of having it relegated as an after tought to sell more items that were part of the "Deus Ex Expanded Universe"
hell no
EVERYTHING SUCKS
I HATE EVERYTHING
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
FRICK VIDEO GAMES
never finished it because it ran like total ass
They definitely patched it a bit. It runs better now. Still not the game you wanted. If you ever play it again you'll see.
it works well on my shit pc now
i wouldnt call it kino as a whole but there are kino elements to be sure. level design? kino. side quests? kino. main city hub functionally a burgling simulator that can last you twenty fricking hours alone? k i n o.
square enix fricking the devs over? not kino. not kino at all. and it shows.
I agree with how there were parts of MD that were good but by god the main hub of Prauge was absolutley not one of those.
Once you explore all the hub has to offer during your first visit of Prauge, that's it. There is nothing new to explore or discover. No new areas (not counting the Red Light District with how tiny it is), no new npc interactions, no new loot, nothing.Nighttime Prauge was sureley better than daytime, I don't understand why it's not always nightime in DXMD. But what pissed me off the most was the fricking annoying train ride. If you have played the game, you seriously can't excuse that dogshit. What's even worse is that quests have you fricking ping ponging all the fricking time between zones that can only be accessed by metro. It's always bullshit like 1) Start quest on upper level 2) go to lower level to talk to some dude
3) go back to upper level to grab item or whatever
4) come back to lower level to give item and finish quest
it's fricking bullshit
is it pretty? yeah. is it functional? frick no
that and the fricking sewers, could have been fixed if the pause menu map was a 3d one instead of 2d, making traversing the layers of the sewers super unfun
>I don't understand why it's not always nightime in DXMD.
Because people b***hed that it was always nighttime in DX1 and Human Revolution, because the nighttime aesthetic fits "dystopian cyberpunk world" better than sunshine. So I guess they added some daylight just to show that they could
>But what pissed me off the most was the fricking annoying train ride.
The train system seems like it was put there to intentionally troll new players and becomes infinitely better once you realize that you only HAVE to take the train to access the lower part of the map that contains Adam's apartment. There are THREE (3) train stops in the upper part of the city and the quest markers will direct you to them even if you are just going to another location in the upper part of the city where it is quicker to just run there on foot. Once you know this and you just run to your destination on the upper part of the city, you can significantly cut down on the train rides
nah, it wasn't to troll new players. it's because the PS4/Xbone couldn't load the entirety of Prague into memory. Devs made up some bullshit about apartheid and put in the transit system to compensate.
I know that, but you severeley underestimate how many times you'll have to ping pong between upper and lower Prauge. you can't walk there, you HAVE to take the metro. It was clearly made for consoles, since they have such shitass loading times.
i got bored i dont remember why
yea it is
i like it more than CP77
