Without console normien profits, there would be no Skyrim or really a gaming industry. Normies aren't interested in building and maintaining computers, be humble and apologize.

          No Man's Sky
I don't expect games to be reworked or completely changed, just released in a proper manner; finished, polished, and clean of as many bugs as possible.
Bethesda never does this, but I bet you can't wait for the next one anyway. You'll have to fix it yourself, maybe spending ages to get it up to standard when it should have been released up to standard to begin with.
I'm not asking for reworks, just a game that doesn't fucking stink right out of the gate because muh meme release date.

Damn, that's actually something I've never thought about it.
By this point everyone knows how much christmas rushed Skyrim was; how there was ton of NPCs and areas that were cut at the last minute, how the Civil War used to be significantly more complex, as were some of the faction quests. Some of the more popular mods restore some of that.
And yet Bethesda has never went back and complete these cut features, despite the game rereleasing 20 times by now

          Anonymous

And the paying customer (or pirate) has to fix it themselves for free. There's a reason the mod scene is so massive, and it's not all creativity; it began as a necessity.
And the same thing will happen with the next one, too. Bethesda simply gets away with anything.

            Anonymous

            It's a double-edged sword.
The moddability of Skyrim is 100% one of it's attractive features, but it appears to have led Bethesda to become super indolent cause they know modders can fix their crappy sandbox.
The game should be good on release with mods improving it, not barebones and mods make it a real game

              Anonymous

              >they know modders can fix their crappy sandbox
Exactly. Until they negate those mods with another re-release. They know what they're doing, it's so calculated.
For me, Bethesda is completely reprehensible in their practices but because nobody else is making the kind of games they do, everybody just puts up with it. It's very frustrating as someone who expects standards.

For fuck's sake; their engine is an ancient, unwieldy mess. But they insist on carrying on with it, doing the same old "big area, small copy -paste assets" thing. If any other studio were to be so fucking brazen, they'd be forgotten quickly as bring lazy and incompetent.
Not to mention the fucking Fallout 76 fiasco. Holy shit. How they survived that is unbelievable.
But people can't wait for the next one ¯_(ツ)_/¯

              >Are we moving the goalpost?
Ok, you're just retarded. Yes, a 2011 game has better textures than a 2002 game. Other 2011 games shit on Skyrim so hard that you need mods from the 2020s to make it look somewhat close to unmodded Arkham City.
              >Not like you can in Bethesda games
So Behesda could've removed 10000s of movable cutlery and made great cities, but decided that making 10000 spoons is more important. Good to know.

Yes 10000 different objects in the environment is indeed more important for the kind of games they are making. You sound like a butthurt autists.
