Alright guys if you delete the existence off three of the editions which one would it be.

      Delete 3e.
Without 3e, 3.5e and 5e would never have existed anyway.
      Delete 4e.
      Delete AD&D.
      Left with perfection.

3e was fine. I do not like what it did to RPGs in general, but the system itself was serviceable.
2e was outright shit made exclusively to screw Gygax out of royalties, wasn't play tested, and almost outright killed D&D.
4e was a weird skirmish game system with a D&D coat of paint that shat on lore, shat on races, and more. It worked mechanically well enough to be the basis of a good board game line though, so credit there.
AD&D in all of its incarnations was just absolutely unnecessary additional fiddly frick rules that didn't improve depth and instead made the game more bogged down. For as much as people like to point at 3e for being the edition that had more rules than sense, AD&D started that bullshit and should be scorned because of it.

So, 2e, 4e, and AD&D (all editions) gets my vote for deletion.

This is what it looks like when your only exposure to D&D is from /tg/ memes. It's not even remotely close to being accurate.
3e was so not fine they had to rerelease it and it was still a fricking head-ache to play. It was all of the worst parts of late-stage 2e turned into the focus of the whole game
2e was a a significantly cleaner product that fixed almost all of the "absolutely unnecessary additional fiddly frick rules" that you complain bogged down the game. All the shit that was actually shit in 2e like weapon proficiency, non-combat proficiency, run-away spell-caster supremacy, multiclassing via weird kit set-ups directly inspired and characterized the core gameplay elements of 3e.
As for 4e "shitting" on lore and races, what the frick are you even talking about? 4e's Points of Light setting was it's own thing. Do you think FR is somehow the D&D default setting or something?

4e, 5e, and uh, 3.5 I guess because I do like 3e but square horses are dumb.

      2nd, because it's 1st but moronic.
5th, because it's just directionless bad.
3rd or 3.5 because you don't need both but I don't give enough of a shit about character optimization masking as a game to care which one.

      5, 4, 3
      >5e

      >4e
      World of Warcraft Edition
      >3e
Prioritized combat experience, wealth by level instead of wealth to level, mandated magical items and the rise of shit like 'build optimization.' Minmaxers and powergamers always existed, but not to the extent this edition produced. Had some good points, but was not a simulationist game.
