Am I the only one who is starting to grow out of gaming?

Am I the only one who is starting to grow out of gaming? I literally prefer netflix and reading books these days over playing a video game.

thats fucking retarded. its a medium. you don't "grow out of gaming". thats like saying you're growing out of music or growing out of movies. you're just not finding stuff you're interested in

Video games aren't a "medium" they're toys. There's no difference between a 25 year old man playing with a Batman doll and one playing bing bing wahoo.

You must be a shitty person to hang out with
        >"Hey anon, me and the boys are gonna grab some beers and get down on some vidya! Wanna join?"
        >"Uh no, I don't play with toys. I'm going to sit here and read Atlas Shrugged and sip some water like the pseudo-intellectual homosexual I am"

well your choice of OP image tells me that you're a tranny, so it doesn't really matter what your opinion is.

Opposite for me, I still game but I don't watch TV or read fiction anymore (I still read non-fiction however).

This demoralization doesn't really work because no one wants to be like you (a homosexual)

      >people on the internet with opinions I disagree with are actually all just paid actors specifically targeting me and my interests for the purposes of killing all the joy in my life and making me a mindless servant
      holy fuck take some meds

Are you saying that it's reasonable to make a thread on Ganker about how you don't play vidya anymore because you grew out of it?

that's called not having energy for active hobbies so you just turn off your brain and consume media instead. it's not something to be proud of, the opposite actually.

tv sure, you don't even have to watch it to watch it. Fiction books you have to actually engage in and have the ability for imagination, which not all NPCs like you posses.

OP's a homosexual and should kill himself. Someone explain to me why Ika Musume got an anime adaptation but Atsumare still hasn't despite being well over 300 chapters into the serialization

A big thing I've noticed about homosexuals on Ganker who claim they've "grown out of vidya stick to reading books now" is that they literally only stick to shit that was mandatory high school reading material. If you mention a series that they didn't absolutely have to read like the John Dies at the End series, Clovenhoof, Fantastic Land, or some of Brom's work they're just completely fucking clueless. I'm willing to bet you're one of those pretentious homosexuals.

Never heard of any of that stuff, but I read mostly from the 80s and way on back. Reading an Elizabeth Engstrom vampire novel called Black Ambrosia right now. Very different.

how is someone saying they started reading books pretentious? just because they don't know whatever books those are? you sound super insecure

That makes sense, though. If someone's been gaming their whole life and just recently dropped it for reading, then it's no surprise that they'd want to give themselves a general grounding in the classics. Believe it or not, a lot of the stuff we had to read in school was great.

I like movies and books a lot. I also like games. I am 41. You'll come back to them. I kind of lament the end of Coronapocalypse, because i haven't had such a stint of premium gametime before or since.

    >Reading and watching Netflix

You're turning into a normalfag. I haven't watched TV or owned a TV in about 10-11 years now. I watch cartoons and anime for free online, but that's it. As for reading, I read manga and sometimes just buy the electronic version of a book for my Ipad and read it on there, but I barely read books nowadays. It doesn't make you more enlightened or superior like the hipsters and writers think it does.
