>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU CANT JUST LET PEOPLE INSTALL MY MODS AUTOMATICALLY
>oh unless somebody we like is doing it
what the frick is wrong with modders
>>oh unless somebody we like is doing it
That's kinda the problem. Curating will always be closed to anyone not attached to Robin's dick.
is this supposed to be a bad thing?
That depends. How do you like closed systems? It will be a boon for some and a plague for others, mainly because of the toxic social aspect that the Nexus has fostered for years now.
As long as some troony can't go and delete its mod uploads when it's having a particularly unstable day, I'm happy. Same with the drama queens.
I totally agree. Preaching to the choir really. But here's the rub, that's part of the social toxicity I was reffering to. But instead of manning up and making the Cathedral model standard which would put an end to that entitled horseshit, what's happening is that ultimately it's all just a push for more Vortex installs to peddle their ecosystem.
I don't give a shit about mod creators and their social meda circlejerking communities. I just want to download some fricking mods.
So you want free labor without recognition.
Yes now frick off.
So, just write your own mods.
I can name the brands of everything I have and I bought them. You want to whine because a guy who did something for free want some recognition for his work.
>I can name the brands of everything I have and I bought them.
Person, not brand. Don't be a hypocrite anon, who made your device? While you're at it, who installed the internet you're using to post? Or are you going to admit that it doesn't matter?
>who installed the internet you're using to post?
This is a dumb one because most people can install this shit themselves.
Answer me and admit it doesn't matter.
I'm not even the guy you're arguing with, I was just pointing out that your comparison was dumb. I installed my own internet. You probably did too. I don't really care about your argument, I only had an issue with your attempt at strengthening said argument. You guys can go back to bickering about meaningless bullshit now.
Who made the device you're using to post, hmm? That's right, you have no idea because it doesn't matter.
Why are boomer cartoons always so awful? I don't know if they're over designed or if it's just the proportions but they're so unpleasant to look at. It's especially bad when they're political boomer cartoons, none of them can make something that isn't hideous to look at.
Horrible
>Ooooh just neglect the child
Hate people like that.
Why do your filenames suck so much? Quit spamming your shitty comic.
Every time.
How do you not know Kelly. That's some hardcore new Ganker stuff
Because I don't waste my time with shitty comic writers?
That’s a famous comic drawn by a cartoonist who draws for the New Yorker. He has prestige lmao
I agree, where are all the sexy anime girls?
If he was red blooded, every woman in the vicinity should be pregnant. Who draws this crap?
>make modding easier for everyone
Yeah this is the beginning of the end.
I mean sounds like what it's basically been anyway. Most people only used their proprietary dogshit patreons or subscribestars for more niche mods, so I liked the permanent archival thing nexus was going for, I think collections are good because it means people won't ask every single day a billion times "how do I install tale of two wastelands" or "what's the best mods for tale of two wastelands" or "what make skyrim look gewd". There will just be collections for them to use, that make the normalgays happy. I don't make mods though, maybe there's some shit nexus does that I don't know about, but this only seems like a good thing to me, don't know why people are shitting on it.
The only legit complaint I've seen is it can lead to morons who install the packs going to the specific modders and spamming them with stupid questions because it conflicts or something is wrong in the pack its in which the modder has no control over.
They do that anyway, if anything this will cause that to happen less because the mod list will be compiled by someone who isn't fricking moronic so it wont conflict nearly as much as an idiot trying to install three overhaul mods and 6 animation replacer mods at the same time.
morons still will. There is nothing that can be done about stupid, sadly. The thing is, will this actually combine mods across websites, or only Nexus? With TTW especially, Nexus isnt the primary source of mods. And like you pointed out, Patreongays will Patreongay. I'm thinking the obvious answer is of course not. In fact, where does this leave MO2? I have many questions, and the answers that the likely answers probably won't 'be great. So I'm definitely curious to see it if I get into the circlejerk.
Also. Wtf is with those fricking cartoons? They don't even make any sense.
>Also. Wtf is with those fricking cartoons? They don't even make any sense.
Just some schizo having a meltdown. Report for off-topic.
Done.
I seriously doubt it will put much of a dent in the tsunami of stupid these days. That ocean is vast and full of mutated variants of dumb.
> Why isn't my potatoe able to handle all these lists
Will be a big one.
Put it this way. The site responsible for fostering that virus from transmission to oubreak is the site that is behind this. What could possibly go wrong?
It's just wabberjack but with vortex instead, why is this supposed to be a problem. The fact that it existing is the reason drama modders got their shit pushed in and can't just up and delete their mods because they're stressed out from having to dilate so much is a good thing.
this is based. being able to download a huge bundle of mods has always been great. it saves a lot of time and energy, giving you more freedom to search for obscure gems. you aren't getting burnt out re-downloading your usual 200 individual mods again one at a time. the real problem is these insufferable fricking homosexuals who freak out if there's even the slightest chance they won't have their name on the credits in huge bold letters. ironically, i never pay attention to who the author is specifically because i know i still have 199 other mods to go collect and i'm trying to get it done as quickly as possible. this collections shit is a much better direction than what was happening when everyone was pushing for paid mods.
Yeah but that's just it. I'm not sure if you can use it to curate your own list privately, and whether or not it can include links from other sites? At least with Wabbajack I can do it with my offline archive.
Because Nexus.
How is this bad?
I haven't been keeping up with modding drama. Isn't this a good thing? The main thing people always complain about is mod compatibility and the hassle of setting shit up.
man what the hell happened to Kelly
He's always the best.
>"make modding easier"
Is Ganker so underage they don't know Kelly
