The part you forgot about, OP, is phones don't have active cooling which severely cripples the speed of the processor
No thermal dissipation = can't go faste
phones aren't designed with gaming in mind and more focused on multi-tasking
"""""gaming""""" phones are a scam and you'd be better off getting a flagship phone that'll last you 3-4 years
Vita is extremely weak compared to modern phones, it was beaten just a few years after release by phones. 540p definitely help it compared to smartphones thought.
>TFW have samsung galaxy S23 ultra >barely ever fucking play any games that actually utilize it's power because most android phone games are shit >Winlator still needs about like 5 more years to bake in the coding oven before I take phones seriously as a gaming platform since as it stands native android games are more advertisement and microtransactionfest than game at this point
I just never get bit by the gacha bug, I even have honkai star rail and genshin installed and I've barely touched either. Emulators and ports for the games I actually want to play run on phones way less powerful than what I have, and the reason I use my deck for gaming on the go instead of my smartphone is because A: touch controls suck ass, and B: My android phone cannot play PC GAMES.
So? Basically any device worth it's salt can now. In fact, I'd say if your hardware cannot run at LEAST gamecube emulation it is probably on it's last legs in 2023. I want to play PC games on the go, I know I have emulators. Some examples of games I play on my PC that I play on my phone: >Slay the Spire >Dicey Dungeons >Delta Touch (Basically GZDoom Android) >Pojavlauncher (Minecraft java for android) >Into the Breach >Moonlighter
But that's essentially it. I need more than just "it can emulate" out of my handhelds these days, that's not impressive anymore. Like, it's impressive that emulation exists, and I'm forever thankful to how accessible they are, but that doesn't make android a good gaming platform when a majority of the games are literally made for subhuman gambling addicts.
IOS gets much better games unfortunately. I've been considering changing back to an iPhone for the first time in almost 10 years because of the DMA rules that will allow sideloading in the EU.
>for me it's the opposite of comfy
agreed, I really wish there was a dual analog, four trigger controller that was almost as flat as a PSP Go while being as tactile. That way I could clip it onto my cased phone (since telescopic controllers don't seem to support that) while not feeling like it's taking up unnecessary real estate in my pocket.
homosexual you're supposed to suggest me some low end device games. Not slop shit. I will never play a final fantasy slop in my entire life either way.
The problem with android isn't performance. Performance is actually in a pretty good place right now for your average mid tier android phone. The issue is games. Most android phone games exist in this weird fucking dystopian alternate reality where activision and electronic arts did everything they wanted to do in the regular game industry without any backlash and your average game is a nightmare of microtransactions, lowest common denominator gameplay, and absolutely stuffed to the brim with ads.
It feels like a fucking nightmare. And if there are actually good developers making legitimately PC/Console quality games for phones that aren't just ports, I feel so fucking bad for them because they must get absolutely drowned under trash. It's no wonder Temu is one of the top downloaded apps on android, most people who use that platform have absolutely zero standards of quality.
>tfw in order to compete with a $350 handheld you need a $800+ phone, a $80 controller for said phone, and a $30 attachable fan so it won't throttle.
Androidsisters... we can't stop winning!
>50% more powerful GPU
so about 250% to get to deck level?
Nope last gen was already pretty close to a 1050.
it amazes me that people actually believe shit like that.
Runs switch so what's the difference?
switch isn't exactly power efficient
wow can't wait to play candy crush on it
Same emulation capabilities.
Window's drivers for arm already exist they just need more support.
Android chad can't stop winning. Where's that 8gen 3 btw?
The part you forgot about, OP, is phones don't have active cooling which severely cripples the speed of the processor
No thermal dissipation = can't go faste
Some have it
>what are pocket retro consoles with fans
>AI capabilities
haha what's the punchline?
the wireless adapter so it can connect to ChatGPT?
it's not that weird, google pixels have had a designated tensor processor for the last three models
granted google software actually makes use of it
it says it supports 4 bit integers which are used in running super compressed more unstable versions of models
phones aren't designed with gaming in mind and more focused on multi-tasking
"""""gaming""""" phones are a scam and you'd be better off getting a flagship phone that'll last you 3-4 years
This is an excellent SoC. If Nintendo is smart, then they will put it into the next Switch. Nvidias parts are total trash in comparison.
I got a series question.. how powerful vita was compared to android nowadays? (And psp too)
Vita is extremely weak compared to modern phones, it was beaten just a few years after release by phones. 540p definitely help it compared to smartphones thought.
Then why the fuck psp emulation soo good compared to vita one? Is it emulators fault?
>TFW have samsung galaxy S23 ultra

you can emulate most games up to the 6th gen via PS2 emulation.
my S22 can run most games just fine. also just use a controller with a mobile clip

OpenMW on phones is really nice. Install Tamriel Rebuilt mod.
>playing gaymes on a phone
It's comfy.
For me it's the opposite of comfy.
But I'm not huge fan of handhelds, last one I had was PSP.
>for me it's the opposite of comfy

If they manage to get x86 emulation then what stops valve to release deck using arm processor?
> If they manage to get x86 emulation
Well, they didn't.
It's already doable using box86 and box64 but the experience is anything but pleasant. Would not recommend.
>starting your post in the subject field
Fuck off you retarded tourist homosexual.
it's gayming pubg time sirs please redem snoopdragon
How well does Valkyrie profile 2 run on aethersx2. I have a Oneplus 11.
Aethersx2 is shit, DOGSHIT. I have a snapdragon 660 phone but it can't run a single ps2 game.
I have a snapdragon 8 gen 2 and it runs FFX flawlessly
homosexual you're supposed to suggest me some low end device games. Not slop shit. I will never play a final fantasy slop in my entire life either way.
If nintendo's outdated tegrachip can run games (poorly, but it can), I want to see how one of these will perform
The problem with android isn't performance. Performance is actually in a pretty good place right now for your average mid tier android phone. The issue is games. And then the next apple chip launches with blast processing and droids get btfo
the cheapest iphone is the same price as a high end android cell phone so i don't buy an iphone for games it's better to buy a switch/deck right away
Shouldn't you be saying the switch?
>tfw in order to compete with a $350 handheld you need a $800+ phone, a $80 controller for said phone, and a $30 attachable fan so it won't throttle.
Androidsisters... we can't stop winning!
Is there anything worth playing on phones at all that isn't on PC? Only games I play on my phone are Pokemon roms.
nintendo ds emulators, cause they are made for touch controls
