>soviet charm.
Boy do i love living in a depressing commie block being afraid of my neighbor snitching on me because i said "fuck it" while someone i didnt even see outside mentioned lenin .
I'm not defending communism you retard, I didn't even bring up communism. I want a game that has that grimy mechanical STALKER vibe but is a more relaxed experience, like a game where you can build your own train and drive it for example. Or just some more relaxed games that take place in those hellish but comfy brutalist commie apartments.
This looks like such a comfy job. The only real downside would being forced to move through the cabines at night and having to pass through morons.
Most trains don't work like that. They have two sides and the motor in the middle and that has a little walkway you can walk through to get to the other side. All the passenger cabins are attached to the main one with the motor.

I'm from a country that was formerly under soviet occupation. Eastern is a relative term.
The pic was taken in 1921, in Saratov, at the height of civil war, before any socialist reforms.
So this is pre-soviet charm, really.
And the main reason why USSR happened.
Because people got tired of having to eat their relatives to survive each year.
Shows how much human morality has evolved in the past century.
I mean, look at this shit.
Cannibal woman on the left is obviously the same person as the one from the previous pic.
So the good photographer was doing a planned photo shoot, in which he was going around the town with a bunch of cannibals telling them to gather corpses and pose with them.
I wonder if modern journos do the same thing in Africa.
What are some good train sims Ganker? There's a shitload of truck/airplane sims because obv controlling either a truck of an airplane should be more interesting than accelerating/braking a train but surely there should be some?
>Sweden
oh i know, if not for the gibberish language i could easily mistake it for parts of scotland too, but its the brutalist architecture before the decay sets in but with looming overgrowth and just the right amount of lighting
could easily have the same assets plopped in most former soviet states and not look out of place
Maybe on top of the line Japanese shinkansen trains but no, most trains are not automated. If the railway doesn't go above 160kph then having automation is not required and the costs of it are pretty unjustifiable.
Singapore, Dubai, and Canada have completely driverless trains. There are no driver cabins at all on any of the lines. There are just a few dudes at some control center monitoring in case of emergencies.
>westerns romanticizing the soviet era >meanwhile slavs committing suicide because the mix of rusty old stained metal, dead trees, gray commieblocks with snow everywhere and a gray sky gives nothing but a perpetual soulless and hopeless impression that ultimately turns unbearable
They painted the commieblocks nice colors and the trees are not dead. Also I don't know where the grey sky and snow thing comes from, Russia is not the only country that went through the soviet era ya know?
You mean like some kind of TRAIN SIMULATOR 2?
nah meant like somekinda suicide squad
The aesthetic?
Deus Ex Human Revolution
I mean that good old soviet charm.
>soviet
>charm
Yeah OP I've got the thing just for you.
>soviet charm.

You gotta admit that the design of their vehicles is charming as hell.
I've seen enough lada for a lifetime in the 90's because they sponsored the most annoying fucks of all the football teams in this shithole i live in.
That's a Trabant you fucking retard.
That's a trabant
He said "design of their vehicles", not the particular oblast in which they were designed.
Based retard, nice reading comprehension.
pic related crashed into my car once. it was totally demolished because its made out of carton while my care had a small dent.
STALKER
Something more relaxed maybe?
Learn to communicate if you want help finding that which you desire you fucking retard.
Singularity
cry of fear is is remarkably post-soviet in parts
metro
Probably Jalopy
>good old soviet charm
ah yes people resorting to cannibalism, I miss those times
You say that and then go play Frostpunk so stfu.
people unironically still defending communism in this day and age just shows that me we need to treat you even worse than the Germans did back then.

Holy shit look at their eyes, they seem feral. Like something else overtook them after consumming human flesh. Shit's haunting

https://www.trainsimulator.hu
This one was mode for the Hungarian government to train train drivers so it should be pretty accurate.
hey cool thanks
ZuSi 3

Well Ganker, I'm waiting.
Isn't using a phone while driving forbidden since you need to constantly focus on the tracks or is the rules laxer in your cuntree?
Idk this is from a train driver ama on LULZ
That's Sweden
Already played all those.
Some dude recommended derail valley and also a hungarian train sim and Mashinky.

Aren't trains these days about 90-100% automated anyway? The driver is just backup.
Maybe on top of the line Japanese shinkansen trains but no, most trains are not automated. If the railway doesn't go above 160kph then having automation is not required and the costs of it are pretty unjustifiable.
depends on the country
here they just push a button every 2 minutes to prove they're awake and the train runs itself
Where?
in the driver cabin
What country has that level of automation?
I don't know.
Singapore, Dubai, and Canada have completely driverless trains. There are no driver cabins at all on any of the lines. There are just a few dudes at some control center monitoring in case of emergencies.
Wait a minute, I know where this is...
My first thought is the UK because Tesco but there is no way the UK uses trains that outdated.
Yeah, it's not UK
Where else is Tesco big?
Hungary
Eastern Europe
Somewhere in that area.
Elite
Mashinky.
Hey that's pretty cool thanks.
It's an absolute gem of a game, wish i'd found it sooner.
Derail Valley is also great if you want something first person that's a lot more engaging and interesting then the average simulators.
I just want a game where I can work machinery or drive at night and that's it. No combat, no other silly shit, just autistic peace and quiet.
i wish for a new forklift sim
literally just moving boxes around in a series of warehouses on a timetable is so satisfying
my uncle also trains man he is driver. sometimes he get death threats but never rape. stay strong trains is hard job.
what is this maymay?
He's probably doing the needful.
Classic facebook lul.
Snowrunner.
There were 2 games I watched, Derail Valley and Rolling Line, but the only thing I'm interested in them is the VR implementation.
Do any anons have experience with either? Which is better to get some good VR train vibes?
This looks like such a comfy job. The only real downside would being forced to move through the cabines at night and having to pass through morons.
Maitetsu
SnowRunner
euro truck sim/ american truck sim. Also microsoft flight sim. best enjoyed with either VR or triple screens with head tracking.
