You have to hate games if you liked mario wonder though
The level design and challenge is so trash that the game has to constantly throw gimmicks at the player to keep them entertained
Literally the tik tok of video games
I only played the first two worlds. I have no motivation playing it. It is the same nsmb shit and i fucking loathe that new coat of paint got people heralding this game.
In my opinion the game gets a lot better starting in world 4. But if you didn’t like it earlier you probably won’t like it later. As for the retards saying having “gimmicks” every level is bad, that’s how 2D platformer greats have done it from DKC to SMB3 from time immemorial. It shows they know nothing of the genre.
>about 2D games
Not 2D platformers? He's right, 2D platformers live and die by their level design, including gimmicks. In fact, Mario Wonder would've been a better game if they went harder with the gimmicks instead of frontloading most of the cool stuff.
>He's right, 2D platformers live and die by their level design, including gimmicks.
And that's exactly why Mario wonder is a fucking trash game. The level design is just a fucking tutorial for the shitty gimmick. The game has sooooooo many cool and unique enemies, that never ever even get reused past the tutorial level that they get introduced
Look at a good franchise like megaman, literally every single robot master stage relies on one single gimmick, the difference is that there's literally one single teaching element at the start and then you're on your own. Mario wonder doesn't give a shit, the game will fucking hold your hand until the flag pole, and if you're lucky, have one of the purple coins be the sole "challenge" of the level
Exactly the same shit happened with 3D world, the game was literally a shitty gimmick marathon unlike 3D land. Fuck, even the new Kirby game suffered from the same shit, there's virtually no difference between wonder and forgotten land, you'd get the same experience watching someone else play the games instead of you
It filtered me early on.
I ended up watching someone else play a bit of it and gave it another shot.
It's better than I initially gave it credit for, but still falls short of the legendary status of past Mario titles.
Level design also being my main gripe.
>Play first world >Onto the second! >Filler middle section to pad out the game longer before getting to the second world >Went back to Neon White and beat that instead.
Bite-sized speedrun autism just hits perfectly.
>Super Mario World, the peak of 2d Mario >Just like, beat the level. Pick up a key and find alternate exits, ideally >Super Mario Wonder >AUTISTICALLY COLLECT EVERYTHING 100% COMPLETION WOWIE ZOWIE YAHOO ANNOYING!
They fucked up. 3d Mario is collectathon, and 2d should be platforming perfection. Unfortunate. Kirby and the Forgotten Land mogs this game hard
>3 big coins >wonder flower >THAT’S TOO MUCH TO COLLECT!
Bro… even Mario world has 5 dragon coins per level, albeit you don’t need to collect them for anything unless you’re playing the GBA version.
game was pretty fun, but only like three of the levels had any challenge to it. Also wish there were a few more secrets, most of the secrets were pretty obvious.
Are people retarded when they complin about the game being easy? Mario has never been difficult outside of special levels. Challenge is not what makes Mario special, and not every game has to be nail-bitingly difficult.
You don't like games
>she actually plays $70 games made for toddlers who haven't finished KG
yikes
do you want to fight about it homosexual? drop an address
Little Saint James, U.S. Virgin Islands
You have to hate games if you liked mario wonder though

Literally the tik tok of video games
>YOU CAN'T JUST CONSOOM EVERY NITNENDO PRODUCT
>YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE THEY ARE FLAWLESS TOO!!!!!!
see
video games are supposed to be challenging and fun.
not easy and quirky cringe
Can't relate
Nope, I want more levels
Op is a homosexual as always.
the game peaks between worlds 2 and 3 though

Nah fuck off homosexual
Literally every single level is a tutorial for the fucking gimmick
Just admit you don’t know anything about the genre.
Look, I'm not going to pretend that the genius team behind the absolutely retarded search party levels know more about 2D games than I do
>about 2D games

I acrually don’t like the search party levels much either. They remind me of playing super expert in Mario Maker.
Kinda reminds me of Sonic 3K in that way. But I think Wonder was a lot harder than Sonic 3K.
Mario was never good.
It's a game for literal toddlers and normalfags that generally don't like games, what the fuck were you expecting?
The NSMB games burnt me out on 2D Mario. I’m just waiting for the next big 3D game.
It filtered me early on.

It's fun but I'm basically only excited to play it when my family want to play with me
I finished the game, it was fun. but forgettable.
Modern Mario games are simply too easy. Wonder feels more like a theme park than a platformer, you just go along with the spectacles.

You need them all to unlock the shitty champion's road level
I think
game was pretty fun, but only like three of the levels had any challenge to it. Also wish there were a few more secrets, most of the secrets were pretty obvious.
>children's game
grown up
Both TotK and Wonder felt like they were made for being memed in social media, not for gamers.
Are people retarded when they complin about the game being easy? Mario has never been difficult outside of special levels. Challenge is not what makes Mario special, and not every game has to be nail-bitingly difficult.
100% it, was kino and sovlful
>The first level of the game is the selling point!
Many such cases with tendieslop
It was fun and made me remember better times
Cringe
Game looks like literally any baby cartoon, just super bright colors and wahoooo voice acting. It's fucking disgusting.
