I think you vastly underestimate the moronic selling power of women. If a woman isn't buying it for herself, she might be buying it for her kid. There's a reason it's the best selling franchise in the world.

I don't even think GF wants to make Pokemon. Every game since Black/White 2 has been phoned in. They had some allright gimmicks and neat moments but I think we'll have to wait til most of the heads at Gamefreak and TPC either die or retire to see the franchise do anything interesting again.

Platinum is the bare minimum of what d/p should have been on launch, not an acceptable 3rd version. HG/SS, BW1, and BW2 were all leagues better.
