Playing against friends is frustrating sometimes, other people like to do their own thing. Bonus points they refuse to use the same mods you do because they're too lazy to fiddle it
Are you going to give me some shit about how if they're real friends they would agree to use the mods I use? See if you can convince any of yours to do the same lmao
Just because you are friendless loser doesn't mean people aren't allowed to point fingers and laugh, homosexual. >All this projecting
Keep coping about nobody being able to stand your sorry ass
mostly in HoMM3
I have a couple times in SMAC but that tends to drag longer than my attention span can really handle by late-midgame
just play the best you can for both sides
it removes some of the subtle cut-and-thrust of actions vs feigned actions but that's largely absent against AI in most games anyway
I actually did that as a kid in Homm3 with big 8 players maps. I can't imagine doing it again at my age. Especial in Civ6 that already consume a lot of time.
I haven't done this in like 30 years. Maybe should give it another go though.
>People saying you have no friends
Like it would be unbelievably hard to get a friend to commit to playing hotseat. I do it with my son sometimes but it takes a long time with a lot of dead time.
I do, big games 8-20+ player games dominions, civ, heroes, I do it because I'm testing various strategy and am very competitive it's hard to find competitive circles for these games where everyone is 1. Competent, 2. Emotionally mature 3. All available at the same time
I've played chess against myself a few times. It can be entertaining as long as you don't think too hard and don't plan ahead since your thoughts aren't exactly secret.
Played hotseat against a friend so we both had perfect information in civ 5 a while ago, so playing with all information known isn't weird, I could see playing against myself. I'd be a better challenge than the AI at least
All the time, I hope the wider society adopts it too, fricking hate the "let people enjoy things" homosexuals.
No I'm not autistic enough to do that
I'm not saying be every player in a game. Maybe two, or three at most
Imagine not having friends this badly
homosexuals like you are the reason they've started to print "solo" rules in board games.

Thanks for proving my point

No, anon. If you were the sort to have friends, you'd be able to find some standard format to play the game with.
>hotseat against themselves
How does that even work
wouldnt it all break down when you meet another yourself due to knowing everything
It helps when you have split personality.
Why would that be a problem unless you're playing for the challenge?
Roll 1d100 against tables, make your hotseat player the most schizo AI possible.

extreme loneliness does wonders

no i can't stand playing against rude people

I unironically did this back when I was in a big Space Empires 3 phase, since literally nobody else I knew could stand playing the game.
Anybody else regularly make fun of others for having fun differently than they do?

>having fun
Disgusting
I used to do this in Civ V for a change of pace
Kind of fun, lets you roleplay more
Any other good games for doing this?
not since my seat warmer broke
Nah impossible, can't trust that fricker. Hell always abuse shit against me and cheat by looking at my plans.
