SV excels
Hell judging by the datamine we may even be getting a battle tower.
you are retarded if you think SV isn't the same shit as swsh >same dexcut >same move cut >same forced exp share >same shitty graphics >same shitty render distance for over world models >same botched following mons >same idle and attack animatiosn from XY >same shitty raids >same shitty cheese the game gimmick (dynmax and tera shit) >same shitty DLC scam >same shitty toby fox music
The fact that SV isn't linear movie already makes it an improvement.
Not to mention 8th gen is up there with 2nd gen when it comes to proportion of shitmons.
SV's openworld is shit so no. imagine not having level scaling for important fights like gym leaders >Not to mention 8th gen is up there with 2nd gen when it comes to proportion of shitmons
meme criticism
>completely linear
how is this a bad thing? of all the things wrong with that game, that's the least of it's problems. you want replayability? that's what using a different team is for >What 8th gen Pokemons are viable in comp?
comp is a meme made to shill CHARIZARD and fotm gimmicks so comp shouldn't be taken seriously. you can beat the game with anything

>how is this a bad thing?
Because Pokemon games are not supposed to be linear movies, there's a reason only SM and SWSH are like that. >you want replayability? that's what using a different team is for
Too bad in those games you are just picking which shitmons you want to put up with.
Not that it matters since the game is piss easy.
>comp is a meme
It's a meme because the generation you are trying to white knight got instantly forgotten due to providing not a single good Pokemon?

>Because Pokemon games are not supposed to be linear
why not? how does making it linear make it bad? >only SM and SWSH are like that
gen 5 was the start of linearity >Too bad in those games you are just picking which shitmons you want to put up with
why do you even like pokemon to begin with if you don't care about what mons you use? >It's a meme because the generation you are trying to white knight got instantly forgotten due to providing not a single good Pokemon?
no, because comp only exists to shill CHARIZARD and fotm gimmicks so comp shouldn't be taken seriously, but you conveniently stopped reading right before i said that in my previous post >white knight
nagger i still think it's a shit game, i just think calling SV good and SWSH bad simultaneously is hypocritical because SV didn't improve jack shit and muh open world doesn't matter in the end because the game is designed like it's supposed to be done in a "correct' order anyways thanks to no level scaling. SV and SWSH are both bad games

>why not? how does making it linear make it bad?
Because a linear open world is the dumbest thing you could do.
If you are going to make it linear then just go work on Call of Duty.
>why do you even like pokemon to begin with if you don't care about what mons you use?
Competitive.
>because comp only exists to shill CHARIZARD
What the fuck does your "CHARIZARD" meme even mean, Charizard fucking sucks in comp.
>fotm gimmicks
That's true, they should keep them all at the same time, be it megas, Z attacks, gigantamax and tera.

i don't really care about plot, but i think it's absurd that people act like linearity is the worst thing in the world. plenty of video games have the player doing things in a set order and they don't detract from the experience. SV is a rancid dogshit game but people insist on praising it just because of le open world meme. it's ridiculous. it's like you fags don't care about any other aspect of the game

Adding on to say I think it's ridiculous when people praise earlier games having non-linearity, the way they praise it makes it sound like you could do whatever you want whenever you want, when the reality was you could fight Gym Leader 4 before Gym Leader 5 and literally nothing else.
SV was the first truly non-linear Pokemon game and it fucking sucked because no form of scaling made so unless you did go in a specific order you were fighting teams of lv. 10 Pokemon with your mudersquad of lv.40+ mons.
>>same dexcut

kinda eh, the pokemon have new cool texture >>same shitty render distance for over world models
true >>same botched following mons
eh, its improved >>same idle and attack animatiosn from XY
false, where did you get that? almost all of the animation got improved and most pokemon got new animations in SV, nice bullshit statement >same shitty raids
these are more fun than SWSH's whole story >same shitty cheese the game gimmick (dynmax and tera shit)
tera is a better gimmick than dynamax and is more viable in competitive >same shitty DLC scam
pirate it >same shitty toby fox music
mute the game
Most boring shit I have ever had the displeasure of playing. I had heard lots of bad things, but, around a year after release I figured I'd give it a try since i loved gen 7. So, I bought a used copy of Shield. Here's my experience. >typical starting town >first few routes--"okay, this is fine i guess" >but then, suddenly >WILD AREAAAAA >spend the next 2 hours exploring and catching new mons >having so much fun >catching all sorts of pokemon, i'm building a fun & awesome team >"looks like i've seen everything, guess i'll move the story along" >get to next town >nothing to see--fight gym leader and leave >move on to dungeon >it's a straight line; nothing interesting to find >get to next town >nothing to see--fight gym leader and leave >move on to route >straight line >get to next town >nothing to see--fight gym leader and leave
And repeat. I slogged through it all the way to Leon, lost once, and then shelved the game indefinitely. After you explore the Wild Area, there's nothing else to see. What's really sad is that Legends: Arceus is essentially a more realized vision of what they were trying to do, but didn't have the time for--and even that game has issues. If not limited to time restraints, I know Game Freak could make incredible games. It's a shame that they're delegated to making absolute slop because TPC knows that it'll sell anyway.
Unironically liked the game.
Good characters.
The whole point of the game existing was to develop the raid function and the "wild area" feature to allow the games to be more open world. Both were successful.
i dont think it's bad
i would say it is average just like scarlet/violet
obviously emulated both
havent tried legends yet, but i see that it is very grindy and i definitely do not like games with the "resource collection" aspect to them
same reason why i often grow tired of playing botw
>Get told the DLC redeems the game >Try Isle of Armour >It's just the same shit
I could've looked up Klara and Honey porn for free. Where's my fucking apology?
poopymon britbong edition
For what? it's still the third worst games
(the others are BW and XY)
Gen 5 is good
I'm sorry you killed the franchise.
For what? Being the lowest point of the franchise along BDSP? No, thanks, I'm happy with Legends and SV, the best Pokemon games in decades
bdsp is kino though
>bdsp is kino though
I don’t think any game freak employee browses here anon
Because the original DP were, there is no reason to play BDSP over DP

It is because SWSH is completely linear.
SWSH grabs the worst aspects of USUM and SV and combines them.
>meme criticism
What 8th gen Pokemons are viable in comp?
Even the legendaries are pure garbage.

No.
What's bad about this?
to be fair, its miserable animation.
a game can be fun and still have miserable cutscenes.
calyrex is such a shit design
maybe this animation wouldn't look so uncanny if they improved the design
this thing is so fucking ugly, and it's not even really marketable. I'm genuinely flabbergasted at what they were thinking when making it
never
You're right, GameFreak should apologize
they should apologize to me
everything that was bad is still bad, i just appreciate the things that were good more now
It's better than SV atleast
>if I leave shit alone for 4 years it will no longer stink and no longer be shit
No National Dex no apology
SwoShit is actually the worst Pokemon game I ever played, I would honestly rather be playing Pokemon Dash.
I apologize for money on this instead of buying food.
don't have to, always enjoyed them. I enjoyed SV too.

Crown Tundra is better of the two DLCs.
I suggest you playing that instead of Proto-Carmine gets pissed about your victories simulator.
