How come people with mid range cards are living a very comfy life, no worries about the future and are happy to just game at 1080p.
Meanwhile the gays who have 3080 or 4080 and other expensive shit, are always constantly malding and stressed that their card can't do 200 FPs on 4k with ultra settings.
I paid $700 for my 3080 which is mid range price now
Same, 3 years ago. fuck, time flies. time to upgrade next year again i guess with the next generation
Nvidia's next cards aren't coming until 2025 and AMD are rumoured to have given up on the high end entirely. The only thing you're getting next year is another Intel flop.
Cope.
Yeah, that was a decent deal. Who knows how absurd the prices are going to get.
I went with with mid range pc full AMD.
RX 6700 XT - $400
Ryzen 5600 - like $100 and something
Literally rest of PC except monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers - $1000
Fucking expensive, you can feel the inflation in all the extra parts, motherboard, PSU, case etc.
Gaming literally everything on 1080p ultra settings 80 fps, raytracing off obviously.
1500$ got me in comfy spot, but back in the days that money would get me extreme high tier gaming.
While i am definitely eternally happy with my life choices, these prices have everyone stressed at all levels i think.
>I went with with mid range pc full AMD
that's any PC with AMD components
fuck you stop stealing my build
Literally me
I had the chance to get a 3060ti for 600 bucks during the mining craze. I waited, bought it for 200 a few months ago.
goym bros, what the hell happened?
Nvidia pushed the bar so fucking far, that $700 is fucking budget now.
the more you buy the more you save
Last gen's $700 is worth less than a $200 GPU now.
what 200 dollarydoo card is outperforming a 3080?
a770
intel drivers can't display oblivion properly, having one would be compatibility hell with old games
oh nooooooooo, a 17 year old game has slight graphical errors
ohhhhhhhhhhh
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
who cares. It plays the titles people play.
I play old games anon, anyone who does, which would be most people, shouldn't consider an intel gpu.
I'll be honest I don't even recall seeing any issues when I tried playing oblivion. What's the actual issue with it? And is it a modern issue? Cause after their major updates in april and june of this year a shit ton of old dx9 titles had bugs fixed.
I'm just going off my memory with integrated graphics on my laptop lol, I'd give them at least half a decade to build up trust before I considered them as an option.
That's just vanilla with a reshade on my 3060
>integrated graphics
oh you stupid moron you're not even talking about the actual arc cards.
Get it together. No shit an integrated gpu is going to suck.
it does fine with some games, it can passably run skyrim lol, but their drivers are bad, no doubt.
That actually makes it look better.
The A770 doesn't even consistently outperform a fucking 3060. Intel's drivers are actually what people meme AMD's drivers as being.
the a770 gets brutally mogged by a 3060 Ti, let alone a 3080
They raised the 80 series price 70% in one generation and most gamers' brains haven't developed enough to recognize the trick.
they should have just called it a 3080ti and every retard would not only be ok with it it would sell out
Tbh I have never seen an Ampere card sold for less than 2x of MSRP, at least where I'm from
This gen is the first affordable GPU gen I've personally seen since the 10 series
3080 was the Ampere "flagship" or top/high end of that generation so ofc it was 700
Mid-range price was always between 300 and 450 historically.
I paid like 900usd for my 3070 (shitholer)
I paid $600 for my 3070 at the beginning of the year
Having to upgrade every two years or else your game doesn't run sucks ass.
People using 1060s still and it's been more than two years.
1060s are lucky if modern AAA games can even launch without jumping through hoops same with the 1660ti
You've taken the techtuber and reyydit propaganda if you truly believe that. Those cards can play modern titles just fine. For the unoptimized shit like memefield, yeah it'll struggle but so will your 4090 anyway.
Just go look up some actual benchmarks
You're coping hard. I had a 1660ti and nearly every game ran like shit on it (including indie shit) if they even ran at all. Go do yourself a favor and buy a 3060 at least. They're cheap now.
I bought a 3060 when they were still above MSRP to play Bannerlord because I wasn't expecting Bannerlord to still be unfinished a year later. Oh well. It's a good buy at the current prices if you're still on a 1060 tier card.
NTA but I had an rx480 until not long ago which is similar to a gtx1060. i spent the last few years lowering settings to 720-900p and lowering the quality, or praying the game has upscaling support, the only games that ran really well for me was amazingly optimized stuff like doom
you're not going to have a good experience with new games on a gtx1060 lol
>Everyone on 1060s 3GB or 6GB
>Posts 1660TI
>Posts some Dead Space remake on cinematic non taxing scenes and still can't get stable 60FPS on low
What was the fucking point you were making, because it was fully retarded.
Also 1060s 6GB pajeets are happy to have stable 30FPS
You don't need anything more than a 2060 and that came out 5 years ago
that's what i have and about when i got it. the only time i've had issues is with starfield and even that plays okay after tweaking a little.
i'm using 2060 and all new games work tho ¯(°_o)/¯
What games you're playing and what settings you play at for the video games?
What do you expect from fucks who have their very existences defined by corporations? They're all quadvaxxed as well
I thought this was ralsei, and was sad when it wasn't.
Man Toby Fox REALLY needs to feed you guys.
I can see it.
I have a GTX 970, work completely fine for me.
Gratitude is the secret to happiness. Think of it as "I have this cool graphics card" instead of "I wish I had that other cool graphics card".
CPUs or GPUs that use a lot of power and make my room noticeably hotter are just not ever going to be something I'm willing to buy. The choice was already made for me.
i bought a 3080 from a miner last year for 380 bucks. still working fine
bought a 6750xt on sale last month, what a steal,. the only downside was that it came with starfield
The key is buying a high-end card once and sitting on it until it doesn't work anymore.
I still use a 1050 ti and there's no real reason for me to upgrade until cards actually make sense pricing wise
and modern games are boring and shit
so eh
I'm really pleased with my 3060, such a comfy experience
>t.Venezuelan poorfag that always played with junk like the GT 710, and GT 1030
Good performance for the price (better than the XSeX) now I'm saving for the 5060 or 6060.
6 or 12 gig model?
12 Gigs, was really surprised with the performance in RE4R and how superior cards were struggling to run it because of their lower V-RAM
enjoy fren
Thanks! I hope you enjoy your card too!
>are always constantly malding and stressed that their card can't do 200 FPs on 4k with ultra settings.
the problem is there is no cards capable of this yet
retards however believe all the marketers lies
they pay 1000usd only to realize they have to turn on all sorts of meme options that end up looking worse than you grain film infested ps3 game.
so of course they seethe and cope on how they made a good investment and definitely didn't get fucked in the ass yet again
If you need a new gpu for video games only just get an AMD gpu. Now if you need it for anything else like 3d modeling, vfx, or rendering then get a NVIDIA.
i just got a super cheap prebuilt with a 3080 and I'm very happy with it, but I'm not one of those 4k 600fps incels
post temps
I wanna see if it's thermal throttling
The key to happiness is being okay with lowering your settings.
I bought a 1080, brand new, when it came out and people said I was fucking insane for spending that much money.
Guess what? I have to lower settings to mid-low in a lot of newer titles, but I can still play them. 5 years on, I'm still playing brand new game at a solid, playable framerate.
I did something similar with my 4090 recently. I was going back and forth over it and wondering if I would really use it that much, but unless there's an enormous swing upwards in requirements, the 4090 is gonna be usable for the better part of a decade, even if that usability is on med instead of high later on.
People who say "there's no such thing as future proofing" are the dumbest fuckers on the planet.
tfw 3060 12gb chad
it was $240
what cpu?
i5 13400f
I’ve had a 1080ti since launch and it still runs everything fine at 1440p. Only catch is it gets a bit loud and hot.
Probably give it a clean.
nah brah, if I didn't spend all my money on buying a house(100% no mortgage) I would've bought a 58003d+rx 6800 and even maybe a 5k VR headset by now
>lowest mortgage rates in history 2 years ago and you paid cash
why
because they were going up
literally just bought it a couple of months ago
also hate debt
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I really hate people like this
there are others out there that would actually use the parts but now they're just running minecraft at 120fps
upgraded from a 1050ti to a 3060 a week ago and have been playing starfeild just fine keep in mind i built my rig back in 2019 so i just gave it a few more years all i really need to upgrade is the storage
EXCUSE ME I PLAY 1440P WITH MY RX560 FAG.
Been meaning to upgrade my 1060 to something "mid range" again based on modern performance
is the 3060 a good choice?
>he can't afford a 4090
too many fans
That has to be a scam
