It will be the exact same game except even easier. If you want to revisit Sinnoh specifically, just play Renegade Platinum.

No, Pokemon hasn't been worth it since Gen 6. I only say Gen 6 since it's novelty as a one off 3d game, but there are games after it which are somehow worse so do yourself a favor and only assume gen 1-4 is canon. Gen 5 if you're a zoomer in denial and gen 6 for pure novelty and nothing else.

The gen 4 remakes on switch are worse than the originals. If you want a newer version of Diamond/Pearl, get Platinum. It has more story beat changes than BDSP do
no. i made the mistake trying out the new generations and sun+moon was designed for children under 10. before that i played black 2 and it was great for breeding autism, while not being unbearable like gen 6
