Play Baba is you. If you run through it without a problem, you are too clever for this site.
seconding this. its the ultimate retardfilter. don't let the cutesy aesthetic fool you, you WILL struggle unless you're some unironic aspie supergenius
Any puzzle game with inconsistent rules is a bad game
nah youre just too autistic to get it. If something is not itself then its nothing, on the first example however youre specifically stating that everything that is not baba is nothing.
git gud with youre logic man
your* fuck
there is nothing that "is not itself"
"something that is empty" however is a thing, it's the set of nothing. the set of nothing is itself: the set of nothing.
are you sure? that didn't seem hard enough to untangle. it gets better?
>are you sure? that didn't seem hard enough to untangle. it gets better?
yes, baba gets gradually more difficult (also more tedious imho)
>145
kek literal midwit
>tfw not 165-175 IQ mozart level genius
Imagine not having a 300 IQ. Fucking teeny weeny brains.
Zachtronics games maybe
Zachtronics are perfect because you provide your own solution to puzzles. There isn't one correct answer.
Riven>Myst>>>>rest of the series
I don't care what anyone says, 3 and uru were great.
play dwarf fortress but don't read wikis or tutorials.
Aurora 4X
If you were smart you wouldn't be playing videogames or posting here
That’s not true, Elon is a gamer and he’s literally a rocket scientist
elon is not a rocket scientist he's a wallet for rocket scientists.
I should play original myst. Played a little when i was a child but i wasnt able to do shit back in the day.
Play the entire series, the only one that is bad is 5 the rest are at least acceptable.
Either you follow a guide or write notes. It's a lot of fun if you figure out the game yourself.
1 isn't really notes intensive. I've only played it and 2 and 1 is easily beatable without ever making a single note.
>follow a guide
im not a gay
rick and morty vr
bullet hell games
Myst is puzzles for toddlers compared to Riven.
>even cyan are making games with absolutely nothing that requires thinking in them now
It's over for video games.
It's funny how the people you meet that bring up their IQ are always retards. Try playing some Pokemon. That's probably your level.
Myst is a bit easy yeah. Riven is way harder so you should give it a go. It's great fun to explore but a couple of things things might feel a bit cheesy I guess. One gay part is where you get to new areas by shutting a door behind you. Other than that it's a top tier puzzle game, you'll be taking notes and exploring/experimenting.
i rode some thing then rode a minecart far as hell into riven all the way to this town on wooden structures above a lake and got stuck immediately far as fuck away from the starting area after like 20 minutes total of playing, it was all so odd i wonder if i did something wrong, i missed so much from the map and now im stuck in some small area with nothing i can seem to do
You can go back. Just take it slow and try to get your bearings. It can be a bit rough if you can't find exactly what to interact with to get back but it is possible.
Always been too stupid for Myst/Riven. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them, but I'm always left thinking, "Boy, in real life I would just break this door down, or hop this gap." It's left me wanting a puzzle game that functions well for both high and low IQ individuals and allows for numerous styles of play, and encourages thinking outside the box. Puzzle games are naturally extremely linear, and that either means looking up hint guides or avoiding them completely if you're not up to the challenge of locating the singular solution to everything. Beautiful games though.
I want to put everyone who likes the witness into gas chambers.
you didn't get it
What about the Talos Principle?
Why? It wasn't a difficult game and once you get the gist of drawing an outline on everything it gets a bit boring and predictable.
It's a glorified phone game.
why are you trying to convince me of what i already said
You asked me why I hate the witness and I answered you my brother.
>Talos Principle
TP is a great puzzle game but it does drag on just a tad bit. Also the base game puzzles can get too easy due to how much time you get with the mechanics. (getting some of the more obscure stars and the DLC was great however 10/10)
Yeah, I agree. Although I've just started the DLC so I can't say anything on the quality of puzzles in that one but the alternate ending of the base game was pure kino.
I wish they had more of those puzzles where you have to cooperate with another android and that it's timed.
>What about the Talos Principle?
a puzzle game with remarkably little thinking involved. mostly liked for reasons unrelated to the puzzles
Drod looks like shit but is the only game I haven't played on that list that is on pc, sell me on it.
it's the game that inspired Stephen's Sausage Roll. it's a pre-2008 puzzle game so unsurprisingly it has some filler, but if you jump straight into TCB (the 3rd game) it won't feel as much like filler because you'll have to play catchup with all the mechanics a bit. if you like SSR, Monster's (especially the post-game), etc. then you will probably like it.
the witness is not engaging at all, i was disappointed. the difficulty was definitely high enough to qualify though.
side note, there's still something to be said for the next lowest tier of puzzles: superliminal, portal reloaded, you know what i mean. they often have really pleasant atmosphere/aesthetics that you can enjoy first and foremost.
TotK's physics system is astounding and compelling. It's been filtering low IQ non-creatives constantly.
Half life 2 already did it
Nothing about HL2 is anywhere near as sophisticated as TotK. The things TotK does should not be possible
It's not really any more complex than half life 2. The only difference is in scale, which is to be expected since the speed of hardware has increased in the 20 years since hl2 came out. Totk has more physics items but the physics isn't really any more advanced than hl2 (nearly 20 year old game btw). I know Nintendo fans don't know that because they don't play video games though.
Nintendo is the only developer still releasing consistently good games that focus on gameplay and innovation.
Nintendo hasn't innovated anything in a very long time. Even botw was just a generic open world with Ubisoft towers which was a done to death genre by time it came out. Nintendo is just recycling the same few games over and over. The only difference is they aren't openly calling their rehashed garbage "remakes" or "remasters" so you people will eat it up.
Wrong. There are literal studies being conducted on how TotK was made. Nintendo did things that should not be possible, things that are baffling all other inferior developers. It is mind-blowing and you are coping hard because your Elden Shit you shill isn't anywhere near as acclaimed or technically sophisticated.
TotK=best game ever made by human hands.
There's Xye and just about any of the Kye games, such as Christmas Kye. Don't ever see them get mentioned. They're puzzle games that involve moving and sorting different kinds of blocks in confined areas whilst avoiding and trapping critters that that will attempt to eat you. It often requires dexterous movement and careful planning to accomplish a level (and it comes with a level editor with numerous user-made levels). Also it's completely free.
Playing your own games is the better answer.
