Yeah, I remember following the game's development when it was just them figuring out character animation or some stuff. I never quite understood how they were gonna handle the game part itself, until I saw the trailer like last month.
Usually I don't care for voice acting but with how character driven this game is and how lively the characters are animated it feels weird that they're completely silent.
At least do the low budget rpg voice acting where they talk in important story scenes and have short abbreviated lines in regular dialog.

There is potion brewing, but it seems very basic, and in the demo people didn't even seem to care about the type of potion you were offering. There is the deckbuilder haggling, but that seemed almost inconsequencial, since a good attempt at haggling vs a bad one would make maybe like a 10-15% difference in sales, which doesn't really seem significant enough to consider it the main gameplay point.
Then there's the vn portion of the game where you rise affection of different characters by talking to them and giving them some presents.
Is that all there is? I'm not sure what is this game aiming for to be honest.

Collect ingredients, combine into potions, and then play Slay the Spire to sell them to customers.

Dating sims on the other hand are inherently designed for you to self insert and make social and romantic decisions for the character based on your own real life preferences. It was the worst part of the game and sadly the part that eats up most of your time since it's a fricking slog with meatsponge enemies and nearly every single one of them aside from slimes needs to be approached with patience and often from a certian side to not take damage.
I'm going to be cautiously optimistic and buy it if other people who buy confirm it isn't shit.

You send pay for your adventure friend to head out to get items over a period of time, you can give those items to your witch friend to make them purchasable from her. You use these and other ingredients from the shops around town to make your potions, which take time to brew up. deciding what potions to make, what to sell, and what to buy is the shop management of the game. Time is your biggest factor in this, so you'll want to spend it wisely. When you open your shop you get into the deck builder and and card game of the, well, game.
Haggling is a balancing of Sylvia's stress, the purchasers patience and how much you can jack up the price of your potions. You only have 20 slots for your deck, and you can get cards from hang out with your various friends. Their cards are typically themed to their personalities. For example the adventurer girl wants to protect people, so her cards mostly help in reducing Sylvias stress. Get the highest price you can before the customer looses patients or you get too stressed out. At the end of each chapter is a big potion brewing contest, and these are where the real money makers are. Succeed and you'll reduce your debt and get yourself a warchest for your constant purchasing of materials. Beyond that it's social stuff, talk with the people around town, get more cards, you can romance nearly anyone.
If the idea of deck building/card battler doesn't interest you, I'd probably walk away from the game. Though I am told that the story is engaging enough and each character has their own voice in the writing, though they're not actually voiced. Perhaps if the game does well they could make a voice pack for it.

That's a shame, I'm surprised the social part has such a huge impact on the game itself. I'd rather focus on adventuring/seller aspect of being a potion maker than the VN-lite stuff.
I'll probably just stick to one of the many other deck building games that have come out in the past few years.
