It was some sort of "dream match" type game with all the characters in the series making a come back with new characters and lore and all that stuff. On paper it should have been great but it just wasn't.
playable Chample and co. should've already pinned it as a non-serious game
if anything it's surprising that it got to be a numbered title while the 3D titles ended up being the forgotten spinoffs instead

nah, I already played my fill of it. it's a weak entry and got considerably worse with each season. it's currently in an abhorrent state gameplay wise.

there's apparently some speculation about the character select screen still having conspicuously empty spaces on it.
I wouldn't count on it though, there's very little precedent with these retroactive rollback patches bringing anything else with them.

Does it have working matchmaking unlike KoF15? Is the online cursed in some way? I can't recall any recent japanese fighting game that doesn't have some monkeys paw in their online experience.
