Golden Kamuy, reporting
I'm not very good at hiragana
I need to stop rapid firing my builds
Can you show the values of your primary and secondary body colors?
Golden Freddy with a little William Afton on his shoulder
Ac6 has shit weapon balance that making playing it boring
Thanks looneychud!
Enjoy your 3 viable weapons that trivialize all challenge and ruin pvp
Nothing that won't be fixed in an upcoming patch. Your doomposting won't work
>huurduur doomposting hurrduuur doomposters
I'm sure you call that anyone not choking on fromsoft's cock right gay?
>everything including final bosses die in ten seconds with worm needles and Zimmers
Surely they didn't playtest much did they?
Can't Flim Flam the Zim Zam, baby.
I think the intent was that some of the excessively powerful guns were going to make you a chunky-chunk fuck that would get steamrolled by faster builds and bosses, but then having close-range stagger shots alongside sniper death cannons kinda undermined that.
Yeah some of the weapons ingame make the bossfights trivial.
they should have put zimzam as a reward for s ranking all the mission, not when you reach 30% of the game
Makes me wish AC6 had some variation of the FINGER
No WA?
Damn.
IGUAZU HAS HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR SHIT. almost lost to this cunt due to him just hovering and spamming songbirds
>never beat Ibis with an honest build
>now I will never beat her
day before the patch I beat her with loader 4 😀
Ibis needed a damage nerf because most of her combos, especially the moonlight wave ones literally cost you 2 repair kits on a single mistake, leading to constant "got hit, restart" in the first 30 seconds of the fight.
It turned phase 1 into a "speedrun trick" that you had to pull off and posturebreak ASAP and do it without using more than 1 kit to even have a chance at phase 2.
feel sad cuz i'm done with the game. Although i haven't done S ranks but i feel like i end up hating the game if i do that.
Dumb ai
CUTE AI
>Don't settle for being an independent.
>Join Balam. Climb the ranks.
I FUCKING WISH
DLC should have a Balam ending where the RLF and Balam join forces to fight Arqebus
>RLF and Balam join forces
Balam is the group that usually sends you to blow up RLF.
easy. both RLF and Balam are in the fucking shitter by the time the major decisions come into play due to Arqebus adopting the "communist china during the japanese occupation" strategy towards the Corporations vs PCA/Sand Worm. They strike a deal where Balam becomes the benefactor to the RLF's plan to reconstruct Rubicon
Honestly I feel like if AC6 was "bigger" and there was a Balam path that had them win out over Arquebus, it'd end up not with 621 in prison, but on the run because most of the surviving members go off the reservation and try to kill their biggest competition, leading to 621 and Walter being separated or some shit. Michigan might not sign off on it but by the time you come running and tearing your way through the Redguns he'd have to eat shit too because he stood up for his forces.
I played the game with jp dubs. I did not like it, it sounds so boring. Especially michigan, holy shit he sounds like a generic old dude trying to sound badass. Listen to this shit
This really is rare case of the eng VA really nailing the performance.
ENG Michigan reminds me of GI Joe. But I've never actually watched GI Joe. Spooky.
He sounds like someone who came out of tropic thunder
It just fits the whole AMERICA company Balam is supposed to be.
intercept redguns in jp isn't the same without michigan's enthusiastic tone.
>Michigan remembering every single shitters name
>mission isn’t finished until to kill everyone
It aint right I tell ya
>Ayre goes "...."
CORAL SINE WAVE SEXO
Michigan's JP voice is the same as the ENG voice. Generic hardcore military dude. It's just something that the ENG VA nails way better because it's a better trope in ENG. If you ask me.
Yeah that's how I saw it.
I wouldn't call it boring. The main cast is good in both languages; Japan tends to do female characters better but this is something Fromsoft always lands and AC6 is no exception. The side characters are a mixed bag. For example, I think Honest Brute and Chatty are the opposite and are way more boring in English, especially Chatty. I find it amusing that Snail is exactly the same in both languages in basically every way. Michigan is better in English even if I know they're trying to be the same as another anon pointed out.
To be honest I hated most of the English dub because it sounds like a 2009 era Canadian dub, which is funny because Armored Core 4 sounded like a 1997 era Texas dub.
So much of Allmind just fucking disappears in the English performance. You don't actually get the escalation that Megumi Han's performance puts through until she's pretty much acting human in the final fight.
Snail translates partially, but they missed out on that weird magistrate style of speaking that the Japanese Snail has so you just ended up with a posh/pompous asshole instead. Tonally similar, but contextually it's very different.
Michigan is the only character that actually comes through 100% and that was such of a gimme that it'd be more amazing if a westerner fucked up the gruff cavalier Army commander that's been a staple since the 1930s.
They also play Walter more flat in English and Carla loses a lot of her wordplay and double speak. I was wondering why my friends never saw her as a flirty old lady with a sharp tongue and then realized they played her in English.
To be honest I've never heard NG++ in English and I'd agree that Allmind is the weakest performance in comparison to English, but before that point, it just didn't matter that much.
>to English
I meant to Japanese, obviously.
Also,
>they missed out on that weird magistrate style of speaking that the Japanese Snail has so you just ended up with a posh/pompous asshole instead
I got this, but I'm not sure it's practically different or how you could translate it differently anyway.
Think of it this way. The way the Japanese magistrate usually speaks in media is closer to the stereotypical way Harvard and Yale professors from the mid 1940s to the 1950s film speak than London Parliamentarian or French upperclass. There's a slight Kyoto lean to his dialogue, while they usually use Meiji and Taisho era Tokyo dialects to sound smarmy like a Brit if they aren't using mix of modern Saitama and Tokyo dialects.
Ok weeb
>it's not worse!
>it doesn't matter!
>y-you're a weeb!
Every time. You sad, cultureless sack of shit.
No, Honest Brute owns, the ENG version works well
I heard both MAD STOMP's. I liked ENG
You wouldn't recognize a good performance even if it was James Earl Jones. The english dub is solid but still B-movie tier. Allmind, Snail, Chatty and Carla in particular don't even have an ounce of the personality that the JP VAs deliver.
Eh, to each their own I guess. I didn't think the jap dub was particularly impressive either
Every time I hear someone say this and check the audio myself for comparison it's immediately clear who delivers a better performance. Dubs in general have this problem that the main cast might be good, but as soon as some side character opens their mouth the quality just plummets and it's just the most stilted and boring performance imaginable.
Snail sounds fucking bored in JP he has none of the snark like with the ENG VA wtf are you talking about??
dw about it he's a weeaboo with an onigiri up his ass
>. The english dub is solid but still B-movie tier.
And it’s absolutely perfect, feels like a 90s OVA.
I want allmind to integrate my cum
>joining team match at random without checking I dunno
>just picking ready to not make players wait
>match starts, everyone in the opposite team is a gay missile boat
>double soup
>double Carla's handled missiles launcher ( of course it's shaped like a butt plug )
>"alright it's going to be AIDS how long before the end of the match?"
>10 fucking minutes
I'm going to always check the timer, the map and most importantly the ACs being played by the fags in the lobby before clicking ready from now on. You can't even leave a match ffs.
Also if I do disconnect I bet I'm going to be kicked from the online for a few days am I right? You have to stay until the end?
>Also if I do disconnect I bet I'm going to be kicked from the online for a few days am I right? You have to stay until the end?
I’m on ps5 and haven’t had any issues
>sit in lobby and ready up
>10 minute match
>teams get switched around
>I’m not waiting in this lobby for 10 minutes spectating to play
>exit out to main menu close game then reopen
>in another lobby
>pet build is basically 2 ak-47s a sword in one shoulder and BML-G2 in another
>can absolutely destroy everything now
>patch comes and buffs my ak-47s even more
>it's now even viable in PVP if I slap on a fortaleza and an becomes an absolute monster when - I - (the intended pilot) use it. Finally got a wall of victories as soon as the patch dropped.
This must be it. This must be the armored core 6 (2023)
I'll beat your ass with my Dual Ludders. I was running those before the patch and now I'm an absolute monster on the battlefield. All that practice is paying off.
yep, RANSETSU-RF is sleeper OP right now. was already the best early game weapon and halfway decent later on, now it's by far the best rifle.
In terms of rifles in general it's beaten by the light harris in sheer power now with the changes to it only using 1 ammo per charged shot and and the massive increase in firing speed for non charged shots, but yeah.
But in terms of ARs yeah, they were pretty shit to begin with tho lol.
The Harris is also heavier, shoot and reloads slower, and has a massive EN burden. Still a harder hitter, but more situationally than before
That's the heavy harris.
Try the stockless lightweight harris it's a beast now.
My brother in Coral that gun has a name and it's Curtis. You're confusing me!
I'm about to finish the game for the first time. When I play NG+, does playing the story again count for S ranking missions or S-ranks are always achieved from the Replay mission menu?
You can only get a rating if you are doing it through the replay.
Thanks anon, guess I'll keep the S-ranks for later then
I hate how shit the weapon balance is.
>struggle on boss fight for 30 mins trying to make a cool energy/missile build work
>give up and switch to mini guns and songbirds and beat the boss first try with zero effort
Just beat Ibis (pre-nerf) first try with dual shotguns and songbirds on a medium bipedal AC kek
So just don't do the second part.
At first I didn't like it then switched to moderately powerful gears to not taint the game and now that I finished Ng++ I'm just rolling zoomerman for S ranks.
Skill issue
Beat the whole game with energy pistols
>PCA: GET OFF THE PLANET NOW
>corps: NO
I think it's an interesting situation since the PCA is obviously stronger tech and material-wise but the corps still won't back down. I guess it's still not a total corpo dystopia yet since glowies are pushing back yet corps are still brazen enough to do as they like.
From my point of view, it just sounds like the PCA doesn't have the authority to actually do anything. If they did they'd be doing shit to the actual corps as well rather than just their local Rubicon force.
To be fair in this case exerting authority boiled down to "kill everyone that even remotely touches any weaponized machinery on the spot before they even realize we're here"
That's how it seemed to me too. And it makes sense. Think about it: On Earth, governments CAN do shit to corporations (if the major 1st world governments weren't in corporation pockets), however in space? What are you going to do?
>Government: Stop that or we'll pass a bill doing x to your businesses
>Corps: The fuck? We'll just go to another planet
The only power is strength.
Sounds like a fun build.
It absolutely is.
You probably could, there was this guy who basically did a hyper stagger unarmed build with a laser slicer and got me pretty good because I absolutely couldn't go airborne effectively since it's the fortaleza and input lag had him kick a couple yards away from me and still hit every time. Kept fighting him for like 6 rounds afterwards for the fuck of it lol.
I'm at work right now on graveyard shift but I'd fight you if I could.
I'm the Dual Ludder guy. Love what you've done with your mech. Well done. I use that same head and core myself.
>If they did they'd be doing shit to the actual corps as well rather than just their local Rubicon force.
Who knows, the human Government may have placed sanctions on Balam and Arquebus cuz of the shit they pulled on Rubicon 3, leading to an all-out war between Governments and Corporations. We don't know about the wider ramifications of the post-621 Rubicon 3 disaster. We can only imagine. I love this universe though so I realllyyyyyyy hope we get to see more of it. Either in a DLC expansion or a full-fledged sequel. This is the best that Armored Core has ever been and yes, I have played the older games.
>The only power is strength.
In the myth... GOD is Force....
Goes to show that /real shit/ is going down in Rubicon 3 if the corpos are taking explicit military action against a galactic governmental body. The one who gets the coral will end up the king. And there ain't noone who's backing down from this race.
>PCA: GET OFF THE PLANET NOW
>corps: NO
I'm waiting for the National Disarmament War in the companion game or DLC for AC6. Post true ending scenario would give the corps all they need to kick off the war against the space glowies
Are the PCA even people? Maybe I'm asking to much because I'm not that far into the game but so far all their associated mechs seem not only leagues more advanced but are also seemingly unmanned.
Oh yeah they've got pilots. There's something they use that's unmanned, but generally they're all people you're tearing through, they're just massive "shoot first, ask questions later" assholes.
Did you only fight Balteus or something? Most HC and LC you fight will have radio chatter and death screams.
Currently doing the mission where you're ambushed by the PCA while surveying robots. The mechs they send in are cold and silent, so I assumed it was like Balteaus
Also
>MT = Muscle Tracer
>AC = Armored Core
>PC = ???
I get that MT's are basically re-outfitted janny mechs while ACs are the equivalent to Gundams in being "The very absolute best quality mobile suits" but what are PCs, Zaku?
The PCA use LCs and HCs, which stand for Light Cavalry and Heavy Cavalry. You can think of LCs as basically just better MTs with more mobility and firepower, while HCs rival or outstrip ACs. The PCA likes to use their own in-house developed tech because it's "cutting edge."
The PCA can parade their fancy gizmos around all they like, which admittedly do look pretty slick. However, for all their simulations and thousands of tests and theoretical lectures in huge halls, they lack understanding about true grit that is acquired on the battlefield after surviving suicide mission after suicide mission on forgotten wastelands. Desperately trying not to starve underneath the sweltering heat of the sun inside your AC's cockpit. Sweat, blood and resilience against impossible odds. That's what separates a Raven from the rest.
>EKDROMOI
>CATAPHRACT
>HC
>LC
Well I mean, they clearly are onto something.
wtf was their problem?
space glowies
fucking Raven leaking their intel on Coral
Why was raven such a retard?
Speaking of which.
"You don't know when to give up, just like all other ravens"
Where the fuck is that voiceline?^
Probably one of carla's cut lines
I think King says that.
It's from the 3v1 at the dam.
>JOIN THE PCA, WE HAVE WEAPON ARMS
this is why I cant to join them I WANT FUCKING WEAPON ARMS
tfw no PCA parts
They're more like Zeta-era mobile suits compared to One Year War equipment
I want to join the PCA
Glowie
Fuck OG Raven and his mute ass
Post your 621s
Fucking hate remembering this franchise still exists as it's a constant reminder of the worst fucking humor I've managed to outgrow at this point but still very, very cool themed mech.
The big man would approve.
I'll always love BL2 but I feel you man. When you look at the writing to be more like a time capsule of lame internet shit from the 2010s it stings a lot less
I tried making a Faiz-y color scheme.
Go with the mind beta head my dude.
Yes I cheese but my AC is in a wheelchair so he gets privileges.
I went with 2xflamer and had a lot of fun doin donuts around my target til they are slag
Isn't the White Zeta supposed to be purple instead of pink? Looks pretty though
it changes much like Hi Nu's color scheme. Bandai can really seem to decide on what Amuro's colors truly are, sometimes it is white/red, then white/pink, then white/purple, white/blue, and finally the regular nu colors.
>Only played psx AC's and completed AC2's arena (haven't been far on mission yet)
>Some anon said mine looked like zio matrix
>googled zio matrix
>actually looks similar
Huh
For the anon who wanted a Takemikazuchi this is what I came up with
You better use 2 dizzys and 2 earshots in that build
Mine's called the Earl Grey CCXV
Please get the reference
Ohh I get it, it's a ______________________ Tea _________________________ reference
Fuck
I reversed my usual color scheme and ended up going full Deus Vult.
Do I just need to destroy Ibis twice or do I need to look for its power source somewhere? Also I must say some of the dialogue during boss fights is so utterly redundant and annoying.
Twice.
Okay, thank you.
Just beat him twice, just be careful with your repair kit consumption and you'll be fine
Ayre is a CUTE!!!
You don't actually like Ayre, she is not an anime cringe waifu
Cope
B A S E D. They like what they make of her, or how they think she can make them feel, usually with sex. If you really loved Ayre you'd take her as she is.
i'm a rich ass fucking merc by the end of the story bro i'm bankrolling the corps to make a coral sexbot body for my waifu
>samefagging
Armored Core is an anime franchise and Armored Core 6 is an anime game, and they're being talked about on an anime website. Get over it already, tourist, or leave.
I'm not 38. It's more of a general pet peeve I have with the type of waifufag who sexualizes their waifu; they don't actually love her, they just love how she makes them feel. It's an old attitude towards waifuism, I'm not sure you understand unless you were there for it.
> It's more of a general pet peeve I have with the type of waifufag who sexualizes their waifu; they don't actually love her, they just love how she makes them feel. It's an old attitude towards waifuism
holy shit nobody fucking cares gay
I care. That's why I posted. Why did you ask that silly question.
>ermm its just like a personal pet peeve of mine, y'know? like ummmm they dont really love their waifu they are just sexualizing her and errmmm for me personally that really grinds my gears you know? like I guess you just had to be there to understand why it bugs me it just bugs me is all ummmm sexualizing waifus and all that
that's you
gay
Yes.
>ac3 intro is 621 and iguazu teaming up

Today I will remind you, Armored Core was always anime.
Are there english translations for these old Armored Core books? Any way to access them?
>Are there english translations for these old Armored Core books?
Yes.
>Any way to access them?
You can find them for nearly every generation of AC on E-Hentai. Alternatively, there are dozens of Google-drive links with them: check out the AC threads on /m/ for those links.
You shouldn't even have to remind people that a Japanese Mecha game is influenced by anime.
Don't you see anon? Kawamori? Miyatake? Yanase? They've never ever worked on anime or manga ever in their lives and are actually westaboos that hate Japan and want to make mechwarrior. Just like how FROM hates Japan and makes WRPGs like the souls games!
The only thing the game is missing is a combined attack 621 and Ayre use to finish off the final boss
>621 and Ayre combo attack
sounds kino
i wish they did a love-love tenkyouken
the bullet orbits are actually pretty busted
>Dafeng Empress/Concubine?
>so you like that kind of empress, huh, Raven
Just call her Dafeng Nyannyan, it's meant to be cute.
Or Lady Dafeng
Why do permanerdvirgins draw Ayre as an anime girl? its hyper cringe. same with AllMind, get fucked

Schizo Sexo
Anthropomorphizing things as cute girls has been a staple for men since time immemorial, and you're wondering why people are drawing what is essentially the love interest as an attractive woman?
Only an even more cringe nerd would get upset by sexycute anthropomorphisation.
Only creeps and freaks talk in the manner of your speaking if you could call it that
Putrid slog
I just wish they were better than Ayre and AllMind, Carla's the only one who sounds fun. We needed a tomboy rival AC pilot or something, r63 Rusty or something.
>We needed a tomboy rival AC pilot or something
Ziyi exists
Hardly a tomboy. She's more like the kawaii mascot to the rebels. That said Carla doesn't give me tomboy vibes either, she's that type of milf that thinks she is no longer that hot and focuses on her mechanic stuff, but doesn't realize that just makes her more attractive.
>enter Zinaida
>Firegay still seething over everyone calling his ending shit
>Even came up with his own little meme word
Awe look it's first words!
Literally chudchild rofl lmao even
Tje only crime is they look too young, ALLMIND should be a mature woman
Consider Kate Markson: She is a strong, beautiful, smart, mature woman with no ulterior motives whatsoever
I saw a nice chocolate one that was posted on Instagram, except I don't have an account so I couldn't save it.
>all I wanted from a balance patch was for them to slightly buff the damage and reload times on machine guns/linear rifles
>that's exactly what they did
huh, small miracles!
the starting rifle is actually pretty good now and a solid choice if you dont want to cheese the game with zimmies or needles.
I think I might try doing NG+ with nothing but the starter AC loadout
though I will give myself a basic pulse shield, since apparently it's supposed to have that
I always thought it was weird for Sulla to be carrying around a bubble gun when it does jack shit damage, but it would've made a lot of sense if the player had been encouraged to use the pulse shield by having it as part of their starter kit.
I really do wonder why they didn't include it. I guess they didn't want people to get used to leaning on a shield or something.
I just headcanon it by saying the pulse shield was destroyed during your crash landing.
Sulla was carrying the bubble gun because he was anticipating taking on Balteus once he made Contact with Ayre as part of Allmind's plan. Then 621 showed up and blew his ass up.
This games attention to detail is insane
I also love how Rusty is the only one of the Vespers who uses Kinetic weaponry. It even looks like an AK-47. Which is a clue towards his true status as a Liberation Front freedom fighter.
The space hippie isn't even poor, they had the impenetrable great wall of China and Strider until you came in and fuck it up.
the arena specifically calls him out as the only member of the vespers who doesn't use arquebus weapons, guess who makes his guns?
BAWS
You mean that video log, and that actually isn't true. Freud actually uses more Balam parts than Arquebus/Schneider parts. O'Keeffe also uses a BAWS gun and an AllMind head.
freud confounds me, he feels like he should've been this game's nineball but he just kills chatty then keels over
It's hard to make AC fights in this game hard since they strictly function under the same rules as you and Freud has a really basic setup
He was really underutilised though, I think he would've been a great rival of the "I'm the only one allowed to kill you" type.
the samurai cunt you fight if you spare swinburne was way harder, weird
The big thing is I think generally most AC fights use the same core AI with maybe minor tweaks. The back half of the game and NG+ gives repair kits, and certain enemies feel like they might abuse explosive radius or certain melee options more, but when they all QB exactly the same to dodge your shit back and forth and you can then punish them exactly the same way every time besides the occasional fighter that will punish you for getting too close on it, it kinda falls apart.
Once you've fought one AC, the biggest worry you have is someone like Raven, Rokumonson or Rusty in Ortus trying to melee you to death; otherwise besides what you have to dodge, you've fought them all. This even extends to Walter, since he's functionally just an AC with boss attacks, compared to Ayre getting the full Ibis treatment.
I think both Freud and Nile were done dirty. They're both such high ranking members of their respective organizations, and they both just show up at the end of a single mission before immediately dying.
Yup. Good catch. BAWS is a local Rubiconian corp.
Is the Bolt of Gransax based on the Karasawa? The bottom half of the spear kinda reminds me of the Karasawa, llut they both shoot powerful energy beams.
it's the spear of longinus
The truth is out there
>Get stun needle
>Its literally just the lightning spear from Dark Souls
What the hell it even has the same electricity affects
Dafeng-chan is the third most popular anthromorphization after Allmind and Ayre.
There are no anime girls in armored core. cringe
'Bout 15 years too late to be complaining about this type of shit.
actually he's about 26 years too late because there was official art for AC1
That's the thing, Armored Core has always been anime as fuck, we just got From not having anime studios to do shit for them so they do in-house CGI instead. The sketches might be stylized in AC6, but arguably that's just how the world is when we're not looking at it from the in-game lens or trailers. Hence why they simply don't show people in these games.
Imagine having these anime as fuck mecha storylines and characters, and then it cut to showing you someone straight out of Dark Souls or Elden Ring in a pilot suit.
When I picture Iguazu, I immediately think of Viral from Gurren Lagann in my head. It just works. I loved that scene where you and him team up for a while to take down the invisible robos and then it's back to business right after. That's exactly how Viral would act.
Same here lel.
Too bad Iguazu didn't have a bitching theme song like Viral has.
?si=h3q8N6rBpaBRfp7H
Should have wider hips and waist but normal girl arms and legs.
he's really going to seethe at every single image lmao
Why aren't Orbit shoulder weapons popular? They look so cool.
Because they have no ammo.
People have beaten this is fists. You are just bad.
the fists are actually not the worst weapon in the game since they can stunlock and get a massive damage boost from basho arms
What is Carla's base exactly? We see it since the introductory mission, this gigantic mess of platform stations high in the sky, floating?
i hate waifu fags so much I'm actually foaming at the mouth
deal with it
>I-IS THAT AN ANIME GIRL?
>CRIIIIIINGE
Why yes, I do think the game is easy after Ice Worm. How could you tell?
Bruh. I finished 80% missions with a chaingun, starter energy blade and 8 rocket pods on every shoulder. Git gud
Woops I "accidentally" tapped my Wi-Fi button anyways you lads have a good night and please continue to ban evade
Jannies have no power
you weren't banned, you got a warning.
Yeah thanks for exposing yourself I already know it didn't matter anyways
You can't do shit about it
shit about what
Keyboard warrior diaper baby bitch
They must have known people wold make faces with that head.
Where is the guy that claim someone has mod AC6 map into elden ring? I want to see it
I only saved this image from that one thread that had them. Apparently the game world is generally to scale, except for the colony ship Xylem, which is severely shrunken down ala the Cradles from FA.
It works in reverse, too. If you port an AC into Elden Ring it stands around 10m tall, a little shorter than Radahn.
It's impressive how differently the games play despite being developed on the same toolset.
Kinda makes me wonder if by functionality AC6 is basically you running like four spells at the same time if you're going all guns blazing or some shit
>the tarnished is actually about to scale with fitting in the torso cockpit
our ac's are much taller than raddan
I'd replay Elden Ring if I could play the whole game as an AC
>Japanese people make something
>Down the line they use anime to promote shitty handhelds or spin offs of Armored Core
>ARMORED CORE IS ANIME ARMORED CORE IS ANIME
What a bunch of fucking gays. Its Japanese people just drawing shit. Of course its going to look like anime.
cope harder, retard
Everything about ACVI is anime you imbecile. It's the most anime game FROM has ever made.
it can go more anime
I feel like I'm too good to be challenged by PVE anymore but I don't want to try PVP and have my belief of high skill shattered
They should have made Flatwell run away if you take down Rusty first. It would make sense lorewise and also incentivize you to target him first for the combat log instead of just instantly nuking Rusty.
Do you guys ever run overburdened loadouts? I'll go over my limit if I swap from a single plasma missile launcher to the vastly superior vertical launcher. I'll only be losing a few points of boost and QB speed, but I don't know if my autism can handle it.
I don't see much of a point outside of Nest fights maybe.
DLC? Sequel? Both?
>sequel
this is the 6th game.
Along the lines of 4 + 4A / 5 + VD
I think they might just go with DLC.
No matter how well AC6 did I really doubt the normies are going to accept the traditional mission pack sequel, and From might know that.
Ehhh, as long as it's a full new campaign with a shitload of new parts and some new gimmicks / alternate game modes, I think it could do fine as a sequel game. There's still a shitton of franchises doing mission pack sequels.
>Spider-Man and Miles Morales
>The entire Yakuza series
>BoTW and ToTK

Lol
That absolute gigachad jaw
Based.
You fail me yet again, Snailscream.

SICK
How do you guys make such cool emblems? I'm not good with symbolism stuff
Are you on Pee-Cee? There's software for scanning the picture you want to reproduce, sorting out all the shapes available in the game decal library and generating a worthy reproduction using them ( as long as the reference picture isn't too complicated since you "only" have 128 layers available).
If you're on console like me just git gud
Not him but what software are you referring to?
>teleports into your thread
>fucking sleeps
Huh. Hadn't noticed that your AC gets visibly damaged in combat.
It's why I don't really mind having a pristine look or at most the first layer of slightly black weathering. By the end of a mission my machine is gonna look royally fucked anywho.
This is first and only Armored Core game to show damage to your AC as far as I know. All you had in previous games were cute sparks being pumped out.
Last Raven had limb destruction but it wasn't particularly detailed
DLC when, post game depression hitting me hard
>use whatever means to defeat boss
>anons hatin'
It's just a game, bro.
>Cataphract is a HC with a tank hat
That's so fucking ridiculous I love it.
It's not even an Cavalry unit, it's just an MT. Which makes it way funnier.
What was the point of having a little mech inside there chilling? I mean from a design perspective. Why not make the Cataphract just a straight up tank?
Same reason Balteus has legs it doesn't need.
I was thinking similar with Balteus, like there should have been another phase in both of them where they lose their outer shell and then it turns into a regular AC duel but it's after you've had to strip away the tank/Balteus ring from their AC to get to them.
The MT is the control mechanism. Easier to build a fast-paced tank that way.
Because the way the MT's legs dangle around when the Cataphract does sick drifts is hilarious.
rule of cool mostly but AC's having a semi-anthropomorphic design is important to the piloting system in the fiction of the world. the conceit (i think) is that its literally responding to the pilots arm and leg movements pacific rim or G gundam style. the idea is that just doing what your body already does but scaled up can be learned more quickly and precisely than convoluted aiming and turning controls. MTs, goons you kill all game stands for muscle tracer.
The HC is harder than the Cataphract honestly. I've lost 10 times to the HC before Freud and 0 times to Freud himself.
There are some genuinely loveable designs in this game
Any PS5 multiplayer rooms?
Damn all of the bosses are morones now.
>You seem like you've lost someone too...
>beat my boy Rusty
>get cool FMP-esque AC
No regrets.
pvp patches when
This, when the build diversity is this shit in PvP it becomes boring
>rock paper scissors
But all you fight is rock with rock because everything else gets beat by rock
>wins in 2/3 endings
>even in fires ending it's still comfirmed that 621 loves her.
Yeah i think Ayre won
That's actually pretty nice. I like the coral event horizon in the background and Ayre in the foreground.
I like her ass a lot more if you catch my sexually charged innuendo 😉
Dual laser pistols are actually fun as fuck.
For my NG+ I'm planning on playing with the equipment I didn't give much of a chance on the first completion. First pet build is a lightweight craft with Pistol, Knife, Cannon & Shield loadout. Very fun so far; it's giving me some good practice with the shields.
None of you ever lost to the Dafeng test pilot right?
My most embarassing losses are probably to Sulla
I almost got killed by his sword first time I fought him because I tried to ape.
Hope this makes you feel better.
Once, on purpose, because I just wanted to hear how he'd react to winning
>been grinding pre-patch because I wanted 90-100% of the chapter 1 parts
>didn't even get to the Balteus fight, got filtered by the laser grid
>read about the kinetic weapons buffs including my Ludlow shoota, decide to give Watchpoint another go
>still get filtered by the damn laser grid but I make the checkpoint, body Sulla
>resupply, face the dreaded missile monger
>actually he's not bad I just can't fucking hit him with my bazooka or that blue charge sword
>switch to default sword and x2 of those plasma missiles that rape pulse shields
>Balteus goes down in a meteor shower/machine gun storm
Dunno how hard he was pre-nerf but I figured him out 2nd try, fun boss fight.
pre nerf he had a much more aggresive missile tracking and they hit harder. And he used his grenade more frequently.
Which plasma missiles work against pulse shields?
BAWS with the 120mm grease gun
Finally finished NG++ and I'm trying to convince myself that I don't want to play the game a fourth time just to dropkick more guys with my mech.
Why can't 6A just be out right now?
I can't never get the Javelin Beta to work but Rokumonsen's always seems like it has 9999 tracking on it.
pay the Sanzu toll motherfucker
He's a ninja, ninjas don't follow rules
>Allmind route last boss
Holy fucking shit, what is with the FUCKING MOB ENEMIES
FUCK OFF
They are all literally Iguazu
Dude just ignore them
They die really fast but here they are assault shielding and cutting me with laser daggers.
they're MTs in AC skins, they die quick and don't do much
Any tips for Ayre? Didn't have much trouble with bosses up until now with a shotty medium bipedal AC. I'm on a pre-patch version of the game.
Hardlock and assault boost to stay on her. Reverse joints and/or good quick boost duration can help avoid the melee swings, and high boost speed can let you just strafe and avoid most of the small lasers. For phase 2 get in the air asap, and then get more aggressive so she staggers quicker.
Thanks anons, nevermind, it took me like 10 minutes to learn how to bait her melee and then blast her in the face with all my guns. Amazing fight, great game.
Try to dodge towards and behind her when she goes in for melee, she will whiff and stop her combo compared to if you dodge backwards. Stay in the air when she does her bird attack, you can also dodge her Stands by jumping and flying. I was using the heavy chicken legs so all the air time worked well for me.
>Moonlight is in the game
It's actually really good because it's pulse tech. Thing I don't like about it is that there is zero interaction with melee boost performance from boosters, so it's a weird outlier among melee choices.
Wonder how shields are. Any recommendations for the go to pulse blockers? Cool color scheme btw.
>holy shit it's just one ac! how is he doing this
i love these lines
I think this title had some of the greatest enemy chatter in the series.
It's definitely the only AC game where I could recognize and get invested in more than like one or two characters.
Same, I actually felt feelings on my first completion. I love when they make me care about the other people in the story.
>This merc is a demon
Felt good hearing that after killing a good chunk of enemies in the jailbreak mission, sadly they don't say anything if you kill the tetrapod
>”Atleast they didn’t send one of the Vespers!”
>mfw Raven ends up making junk heaps out of the Vespers one by one over the course of the game
>How is he doing this!
>when most MCs are completely brain dead and stand there to get shot at while making no attempt for cover and having a completely shit time aiming at you.
I get it's a videogame and they're trying to make you feel strong but holy shit why why even have an army equipped with such useless hardware?
99% of the time they are also fighting other useless hardware.
I hope those little AT-AT things aren't piloted by people.
they never stood a chance against
I feel like the power level creep between a basic MT and a Tetrapod is so severe that not even this makes sense.
MTs are cheap, probably just a numbers game against bad to mediocre AC pilots.
ACs are more like aces you play to turn the tide of battle.
I'm getting filtered by Ayre, bros. I'm not cracked out enough to keep up with her insane super saiyan bullshit and, I keep getting knocked by instant lasers and offscreen missiles, and her melees catch me every time. I stopped having fun after Ibis and now I'm just in it for completion and it's killing me because I know it's a skill issue.
Use Hardlock is you're struggling that much
Still trying, I think I need to drop down into the smaller missile ranges and shed weight to get to the second phase faster. First phase with her shield is giving me the most problems. I almost got her on one run, but got shot in the ass after my terminal ran out.
You are the world's biggest gorilla moron, Anon.
Thans anon, you're a moron too <3
Bring double bubble trouble or a bubble gun and the pulse starter blade. On your back mount your choice of damage dealers, but bring the hurt because it's a sweaty fight.
I gave up and built super tanky boi with double needle and charge rifles and just stood still most of the fight. Ayre AI behaved differently when I stopped being mobile.
This fight was so fucking sick, my fucking god
It really felt like mecha vs mecha slugging it out
equip needle guns
When people say this, do they mean the giant stun needle should weapons, or the needle pistols? Because the latter don't really seem that OP or anything. They're probably the best out of all the pistols, which isn't saying much.
There's like three needle weapons. The pistols, which are okay but have a bit of roughness to work with, the Stun Needle Launchers that are utterly broken electric-causing snipers that are hilariously overpowered, and the Truenos, which have the range of Stun Needle Launchers, a higher damage than Songbirds on staggered targets, and are way lighter than both weapons.
>NG+
>do the fire of raven ending
>feel bad about killing rusty
>feel worse about killing ayre
>the epilogue literally calls you a monster
bro why even write this in? I just want to get to NG++ for the true ending. Don't make me feel so bad goddamn.
The game really seems written and structured assuming you do Fires first what with all the RLF missions and interactions that only open up on NG+
Yeah I think so too, it was weird helping the RLF for my entire NG+ run only to end on this choice, as if the ending you get from the choice itself isn't sad enough. Hopefully NG++ feels a little less shit.
I did fires first and it made a lot of sense to me when I heard Walter's message at the end why that should be the default ending to begin with. He tells you to find your true potential. Now that's exactly what Ayre was lecturing you about during your showdown, that the two of you could've reached true potential together. He's guiding you to seek out answers to what happens when you do reach for the stars.
Agreed. I guess I cucked myself out of a cool meta narrative throughline by being a simp. Deserved t b h
I did Fires first because sticking by Walter seemed to make sense as the default route to me, plus I wanted to reserve the waifu route for later.
Sulla is filtering me
>pre patch curtis+starter blade
>dual 4x starter missiles because slippery bro 8k AP build
I guess I'll have to trade some speed so I can actually carry decent weapons lmao
but muh 350 boost
Sulla is harder than post-nerf Balteus if your setup or skill are lacking.
Yo, who the fuck cares about Balteus, Sea Spider, Ibis, and Ayre. How the FUCK do you beat Allmind?
Zimmerman and needles. It's braindead with this setup. Everything is.
>for (4) answer
>Verdict (V = 5) day
what's gonna be the subtitle for 6?
>Armored Core Victory
Please FROMSOFT. It’s perfect.
Armored Core Vindication works better
patch
>Be on one team
>completely suck shit
>next round be on team with good players
>win by a large margin
its always fun when you realize that you were not the weak link
>what the fuck where are the faces???
Why does this retarded complaint keep appearing?
normalfags cannot comprehend a narrative if there's no humans visible on screen
Honestly reminds me of shit like FF7 being criticized for lego block people, albeit for different reasons. Some people expect grand sweeping epics for some reason. Never mind that this is fucking Fromsoft, where even to Elden Ring you can stare people in the face and they don't even lip sync dialogue unless it's in an explicit cutscene, and their stories have always been vague, poorly told, asinine bullshit; by comparison AC6 is probably the most complete and whole plot From's had in ages.
normalfags unironically cannot get engrossed in a person or character if there's no physical presence attached to them, while autists have an easier time communicating without face to face contact
Reminder that Armored Core was trash before AC6
What's a pet build?
Maybe something with drones following you around?
The build you like regardless of performance.
Well you're learning something new every day. Turns out I'm only playing with "pet" builds.
A setup that (You) personally enjoy playing for fun, not meta.
Term from TCGs used to explain decks that aren't meta but beloved by the player to justify building and playing with them. I.E you play with your pet deck but then whip out the meta deck when you're losing to save face.
Seems you can apply it to videogames with builds.
I'm literally watching the credits anon. I asked after trying 4-5 times to see if I was fucking up and while waiting for the responses it just clicked.
Ah gotcha the reply chain seemed sus as fuck
I'm just autistic and impatient kek
isn't it kinda weird that in NG+ balam keeps G13 in their employ even though he backstabbed and wrecked two of their squad leaders in their first sortie together?
though I guess walter did foot the repair bill...
Michigan's chill and probably knows Walter. Most importantly, nobody died.
also it was fucking volta and iguazu who were talking mad shit. Michigan probably saw it as a good wake up call for both, however both were two cunts who didn't understand humility, with Volta only understanding in the end
What happened with Volta again?
Died at the WALL
Got owned
Jobbed at the wall despite using meta build
He was drunk
on the far left side on the city outside of the wall in the wallclimber mission, you find his smoldering wreck along with a message to Iguazu about how Michigan really does care about them. Balam's assault failed
Oh shit how did I not know about this. Guess I’m doing Operation Wallclimber again.
iguana was a bitch as usual and left him to die at the wall
you are a merc and you were offered double. corpos understand that especially since any merc is just assumed to be scrapped by the end of any suicide mission they are sent on.
So why does Iguazu hold a grudge against you even if you don’t backstab Balam in that mission?
He was a fucking gambler that had to rise up to become a numbered gun while 621 comes out of nowhere and fucking styles on everyone and everything. he is jealous and insecure, especially since both 621 and himself are both gen 4
Cost of business and all that. AC games do a good job keeping things like that open ended by just putting the games on the backdrop of soulless corporations and immoral mercs duking it out for cash and control. Anything goes.
aside from the redguns realizing you were bought out, generally theres an understanding that mercs can switch up at the drop of a hat. i think if you outright killed voltman and iguana it would have been a different story entirely. also there is definitely pre-established mutual respect between walter and michigan judging from their convo before the dam mission becomes available and walter's reaction after michigan dies
oh whoops forgot to mark the bigger spoiler technically lmao
>tfw just unlocked the soup launchers
so 621 jumped out before the cargo crash landed right?
I like how even the credits are blocking Iguazu
Which weapon is good for my tank build
What’s everyone’s personal favourite mission? Mine is “Attack the Old Spaceport” in which you destroy the grounded PCA warships one by one. Cuz it has everything you want. Perfect level design and atmosphere, good variety of mooks to fight, hidden collectables, open-ended as to how you tackle the objective, impressive spectacle, team-up with Rusty 2v2 style, jaw-dropping monster reveal at the end etc etc I could go on and on. Just admit it guys, it’s the perfect mission. But if it’s not this one then what do you consider the best mission in ACVI overall?
Destroy the Tester AC
Jailbreak mission because the cliche video game level where you lose all your gear and have to escape your cell with a rusty butter knife is my favorite.
You should play RE4 Remake.
breach the karman line
>first section is a power fantasy with unlimited flight time where you wreck an entire fleet of warships
>second part is a rival fight against a mecha anime protagonist (complete with his mid season gundam upgrade) while the most for answer track in the game blares in the background
my bro
The entirety of Chapter 3 is loaded with fun missions, really.
kinda weird that chapter 2 has 3 missions total
Attack the Watchpoint because Balteus is the peak of the game. There's great stuff after too of course, but that's when it really came together for me.
Maybe Breach the Karman Line in second as a great setpiece, MIA in third for how shit just gets fucked. And Eliminate V.III was my favorite AC vs. AC mission.
Breach the Karman Line
MIA
Survey Xylem
Breach the Karman Line
Attack the Watchpoint because Balteus (pre nerf) is a legitimately great boss, visually, mechanically, everything
Attack the Watchpoint and Attack the Spaceport. Also I love the environments for Grid 056. Wish there were more levels set in places like that.
I did it... I won a duel...
Nope
Every duel I win feels like I got a pity matchup and got a bot as opponent, no satisfaction at all.
Every duel I lose feels like I'm a complete fucking retard with no understanding of the game and my opponents are cheating on top of that, even when we pick the exact same loadout they end up doing more damage in half the fucking time.
I honestly don't enjoy duels, I'm glad there's TDM, at least you can get up and try again immediately without being kicked for not leaving on your own (unless the retard hosting sets the timer to 30 seconds so whoever 3v1 apes the worst player first auto wins)
So it's never worth it to go for the third dagger swipe in pvp right? I'm testing it out on G1 Michigan in the arena and he just backs up when I go for the third.
Hmmm how far are you anon? I felt EXACTLY like you until I got NG+ and way more OS tuning. Now it's fun, and I've even fought people I felt evenly matched against.
I wanted to play old AC games now that i liked AC6 so much but i don't think i can stomach AC1 without analogs.
You get used to it after like 2-3 missions, give it a try, it's fun
remap the look and strafe controls to the face buttons and d-pad in game, then in emulator settings remap the face buttons and d-pad to sticks
et voila
AC3 Nexus and Last Raven have twin stick view
>like drawing
>can't stand using the image-editor
Why couldn't they just keep the pixel-by-pixel editor from the earlier games
I believe 4/4A started the shift away from pixel editing to this, didn't it?
hopefully they add something like that soon
Regarding the combat logs, I wonder what made Allmind go
>See that MT over there Augmented Human C4-621? Fuck that guy in particular. Kill him and I’ll give you a prize.
>Got all weapons
>Bought out the shop
>Got every combat log
>Somehow don't have all External Parts achievement
Wait, what the FUCK am I missing?
NG+
I just finished NG++
What in the world
If its external parts it might be wrecker set
I just did a clean sweep of a wiki/achievement list site's catalog of all external parts and I have everything. I even sold some parts and bought it back.
Nothing.
What the fuck
Okay, apparently you had to sell a Basho part and now I got it. Apparently this is common.
Missed opening some chests
Assuming you actually have all the parts, sell one and buy it back. Apparently if you picked up the last part from a chest or log the achievement doesn't pop.
>he doesn't know
What's that?
Can you beat the worm with everyone surviving? Seems like they will purposely run to his AoE attack and die in the last phase.
No, even if you manage to hit the worm every time in surfaces they'll disappear before their dialogue even finishes.
>thought the needle was just a plot weapon like the Storm Ruler sword
>turns out to be a really strong meta weapon
The Stun Baton is also really good
The DeS storm ruler was meta back in the day too. I don't know about the remake tho
Just got to chapter 4 ng++
God can't wait to come back home and finish it today
Only downsides I found are:
Too little mech parts (wish there was more than 2 spidy legs for exemple)
And I hoped that ng+ would make enemies harder than ng
also wish they was special quote when you equip specific parts, like using the worm needles before you're supposed to get it in the story or have Walter's part before you fight him and co
The lack of variety when it comes to non-bipedal legs is kind of disappointing.
Finally got all three endings.
Don't know about you guys but aside from the sheer novelty of the NG++ ending making you completely different missions, I think it's easily the worst outcome. Nothing that ends in some evangelion scene means good for mankind.
I think honoring Walter's wish is my preferred ending.
>Eva
So you were filtered. It's Eureka Seven meets Gundam 00.
Eureka 7 fucking sucked, it's all the worst parts of Gundam and NGE with none of the good ones.
Gundam 00 had one good season and then went full retard.
Eva is trash too. What's your point?
Don't lump Gundam with dogshit like Eva.
Shit is way too vague for me to consider it a positive. Too much uncertainty.
I think Fires of Raven is the strongest story and most emotionally effective.
If you haven't tried the weapons that got buffed in the patch you should. Scudders feel incredible. Midrange gameplay is alive
Can't agree. Liberation being the only one where Walter didn't get offscreened as well as having a proper boss fight with Snail, fighting alongside Rusty, seeing the surface lit up with battles in your name, etc etc. Plus it had the two best songs in the game: Rough and Decent (Bad Joke) and The Man Who Passed The Torch
OFC this is just my opinion but that's how I truly feel. Fires made me feel things, Liberation made me shed a tear. HOWEVER I will give Fires bonus points for the fleet interception mission, that was badass. I also must give Cast the Die bonus points for MIA, bearing down on the panicked and terrified Arquebus soldiers was great
>This is hell... We're in hell!
Don't forget the moments where rusted pride and contact with you plays. Liberation feels a lot more polished compared to Alea Iacta est ending, though I kinda feel disappointed with HAL fight.
I brought in my AC classic loadout: rifle, missle, launcher, blade; and was thoroughly pleased with the ensuing AC duel. The element of unknown was perfect: seeing him fight was surprising. Figuring out how the Coral weapons worked after the first time seeing them and then actually being able to aquire them was sick.
With the setting and the music together I played it straight and didn't try to end the fight as soon and humanly possible, and I was happy
If I had to rank the final bosses it would go like this
Ayre>>>>
>Walter
Ayre had the perfect final boss setup: the setting, the spectacle, the music and the dialogue. She's fun as a boss, it just sucks she's stuck with the bad ending. ALLMIND is more of a nuisance than a decent fight, most of my problems with the fight come from the minions he brings and the final phase becomes tank everything and win. Walter is standard AC fight, I was expecting something more special
Based. Liberation is my favourite ending too 🙂
But I also love how everyone has their own personal favourite and justified reasons for it too. Love the game for accomplishing this and giving each path its own highlights. Great to witness this level of diversity in the fanbase and the game’s just come out. Look at how everyone has their own personal favourite mission too.
Agreed. Moreso love this game for making ng+ actually matter. Fromsoft hasn't done that in a while, and it's one of my favorite videos game isms
Absolutely this. I was happily surprised by some of the stuff I saw in the later playthroughs that managed to organically enhance the difficulty. Thank God they didn’t just >increase enemy damage/health and call it a day. To me the games level’s of challenge as it is, is perfect. So something like a hard mode which changes enemy damage/health values I would have considered a complete waste because it’d restrict build variety and make everyone go for OP weapons to fight OP enemies. As it is, the game lets me beat it even with a meme build using spider legs/chainsaws/handmissiles or whatever else I can come up with. TLDR: Really satisfied with what they accomplished with this game’s new game+ and other developers should take note.
The problem with Walter's ending is that it doesn't even guarantee that Coral is gone for good. Nagai's fires failed, and while Raven's fires might be more effective, there's still Coral off-world in the form of augmented humans and general technology and it presumably doesn't need much to survive and propagate even on the planet. You're just delaying the inevitable and killing a lot of innocent people in the process. It's a cool ending, but mankind might be fucked regardless. I'd roll the dice with the Liberator ending, because at least that way some slice of humanity is a free of a cyberpunk corporate hellscape and there is some hope.
Doesn't Raven survive the fire anyway?
Can't I just devote my life to fucking up anyone trying to come back to harvest coral?
>Doesn't Raven survive the fire anyway
lol
even if he does he just disappears like the fag from FA after going genocide
If we assume Raven's fires are twice as effective as Nagai's, it would take a century for Coral to return on Rubicon. Even if Raven lived, he still wouldn't even be around for what matters.
Time to round up a group of pilots to carry on my legacy.
Coral returning after Fires of Ibis was a fluke. Good chance it’ll be gone for good on Rubicon this time. The narrator even mentions that Rubicon was permanently abandoned after Fires of Raven.
>The narrator even mentions that Rubicon was permanently abandoned after Fires of Raven.
Wishful, short-term thinking. Even if Arquebus and Balam were genuinely spooked, after a century there's be nobody left who cares about anything beyond profits. The PCA uses Institute Coral technology and Arquebus stole all that shit. Just because the planet is closed doesn't mean the turbogarden gnomes at Arquebus would just destroy everything.
Ah, yes. Just like it was permanently closed down by the PCA and abandoned, right?
>armored core 7
>your AC6 raven is the final boss
Kino incoming bros
>AC 7 or 6.5 takes place after fire ending
>in classic fromsoft everything gets worse ideas, the fires supercharged the coral on rubicon and made it a hostile alien entity that now thinks humanity is the vrius that needs curing
>Last boss is a crazed Ayre piloting 621's mech
>mfw I realized what was going on during the defend the old space station mission
Huh what was going on
Is ayre cheating when she controls mechs? I know she is for her final boss where it was technically like a 1v10000000000000 but was echo just her? she’s too good… she’d destroy every pilot on rubicon..
So if it wasn't iguazu who would you guys have chosen to be the final boss of the alea route? Keep in mind it probably has to be someone allmind can coerce into fighting you
while I was going through ng+/Liberator I thought Iguazu was gonna replace the Rusty fight and Walter was gonna use the finished MIND set to fight you
Freud feels like it would've been a more conventional choice, if he had more of a presence outside the one mission. Wouldn't take much convincing, but it'd end up the same since there's no way he'd care about the plan. But I can appreciate Iguazu overwhelming an AI mastermind out of sheer spite.
how he doi it
Isn't there a program that let you put pictures and it'll convert it for AC6 emblem? I remember someone talking about that few weeks ago
This was waaaay harder to land in pvp than I thought it'd be. Almost not worth it but damn was I quaking with satisfaction. Every other attempt to land it failed because we'd be on different planes of height, but more often he so I assume every light AC just recovers too fast and decides it's better to dash off than eat chainsaw teeth. But here he went for scatterbombs instead. He's probably used to them instantly staggering other players. The idea works better if you just have the chainsaw in your left hand and your three other modes of combat contribute to stagger, but I like the idea of having two melee weapons.
how do you not get instantly shredded by fuckers using bullet orbits in pvp? all they have to do is rush at me and i'm instantly staggered
You don't! Bullet orbits are horrendously overpowered currently. Either keep ridiculous distance somehow or use something stupid to insta stagger them and shut the orbits off
fantastic. i've managed wins against it by assault boosting around cover but on maps that are just wide open spaces i'm basically fucked
What are some good weapons for faster enemies? Laser pistols and most energy weapons seem decent, as do the gatling guns and linear rifle. Any others?
Kick the shit out of them to stun them then shoot them
Or just become a missileboat
Damn I liked them all but I particularly liked ALLMIND
Three phaser, cool spectacle, based iguana, AC fight into boss enemy fight escalation, help from an ally, also ends in a cool 1v1 and the last phase has sick dubstep. It hit a lot of targets for me
Dagger
In general faster-firing weapons and high projectile speed weapons will work against faster enemies, but absolutely nothing beats having an FCS in your preferred range. I've seen my AC turn 180 degrees to land a direct hit with stun needles on enemies that flew by, with the ~80 close range stat FCS. You can even land direct hits against nimble ACs with the slow projectile plasma weapons with the right FCS.
What buffed guns should I give a try now?
Scudder, Curtis, and Ransetsu RF are the BIG winners
The magineguns are cool too I guess
The MG. Its just that reliable for me with my melee build
I'd be lying if I said I hate ALLMIND as a boss, I keep replaying his fight as a comfort game at this point because Ayre is pretty much EZ modo for me. Maybe its because I tryhard using daggers and other close range weapons against him but oh well
Make it a literal knife fight, fun!
Stylized eyeball = cool
So cool I'm fact they reused it
Its a very reliable melee weapon. Pilebunker is cool but it got old fast to me.
I wish I liked the handgun more. Aesthetically I love it, but the hjgher impact and slight damage increase are not enough to compensate for the linear rifle doing literally everything else better. This thing is ricochet city, has a smaller magazine, 1/4th the total rounds, has way less range and can't be charged. I guess its really lightweight, maybe I should try a lightweight build.
Play close range with it, whittles down ALLMIND's stagger very quickly if you can land all of them rounds
>Ricochet city
Be closer, it's a close range weapon
>Has a small magazine
True, its only real flaw
>1/4 of total rounds
Not an issue if you actually land your shots, save for maybe two missions
>Has way less range
BE CLOSER
>Can't be charged
True. That's why you bring a juicy shoulder or melee weapon for when you stagger the enemy (which you definitely will, very fast, if you use the pistols right)
>Playing through Silent Line
>Get to this guy in the arena
Isn't this White Glint's emblem?
Could a loremaster like Vaati explain this to me?
It's the other way around, back in the day 3rd generation vets going into AC4 said "hey, that's Shade's emblem"
I pourpsefully avoided the meme weapons like x2 zimm, x2 songbird or x2 needles
I'm only on Chapter 3 but right now 10 shot missles on each shoulder makes absolutely every enemy AC a joke. You fire one volley, then you fire the other, the enemy exhausts their boost then you hit them with charged shot/bazooka/pile bunk when they land for free damage and ACS overload
put the 4 missile launcher on both arms too
reminder that ayre's definition of sex is being in combat
Liberation ending > Fires of Raven ending > Shit > AllMind ending
Is it fine to patch the game to 1.02?
I just finished Balteus unpatched and saw that there were weapon buffs in the new patch. That said there were boss nerfs but people said it was just some small adjustments and nothing that will make the boss easy to steamroll.
Is that true?
Balteus's missiles don't track as well, Sea Spider can no longer laser you through it's own legs and takes more damage from explosives, and I forget what changes they made to IBIS.
So it's fine to patch and actually not making bosses a pushover?
Yes
Why would you ever take Ganker shitposting seriously.
Just play the game, you don't have to prove yourself to anyone on this god-forsaken shithole of a website.
Honestly seems fine to me, ignore the people bitching and play it.
The changes aren't going to make that much of a difference if you were a complete shitter. Balteus for example doesn't even catch bads with the missiles, it's the bazooka that fucks scrubs. Trust me, I've watched my complete retard friend seethe and mald because he got hit like a dozen times by said bazooka in one attempt.
>it's the bazooka that fucks scrubs.
I remember how I somehow just kept running straight into the bazooka's firing path when I first fought him. It was like I was made to take the bazooka to the face.
Ibis got toned way down.
Why you lie?
I know for Balteus the hitbox on his flame swords were adjusted so it better matches the models, and his missiles were slowed down a smidge. Sea Spider's total HP and stagger meter were reduced in size a tiny bit, and it can't laser you when you're standing underneath it.
The changes to Balteus and Spider were insignificant:
-Balteus: 10% less magnetism on just the missile swarm (this change only affects mid and long range builds, 95% of them always missed if you rushed in)
-Spider: 5% extra damage from kinetic and 9% extra damage from energy and explosions
Is that really it? Sea Spider felt much, MUCH less aggressive when I did the mission an hour or so ago compared to my first playthrough. Prepatch in its first phase, it constantly tried to crush me with its legs (and succeeded). I didn't get the leg crush move once this time.
That's just you being more experienced.
No I mean quantifiably she didn't do the leg crush move once. As in zero times, not that I dodged it.
Depends on your position when it does that attack I guess.
And the avoid that MAD STOMP it's best so just boost under it, not away.
Also redoing that fight with max OS upgrades than that's the main reason it's way easier.
In Chapter 4, I think by the second mission, why does Balam call you a traitor? And why does Ayre imply they have a mission to kill you? Is it because you're working with Arquebus over them to survey the elevator? That seems rather petty but I can't think of anything else
Also (NG++ish spoilers) I've seen a few anons say the PCA's system is ALLMIND. Why is that the case? Is it because of the various antonymous robots that get sent after you throughout the game? Also why do they get sent after you? To test you and build you up etc?
I meant to type autonomous but autocorrect had its way...
>jpeg dog 621
It's perfect
>First
It's because you ended up working exclusively for Arquebus instead of continuing to freelance. You still do that, as you can still take jobs for the Liberation Front, but you're labeled as part of Arquebus' Advance Survey Squad, charged with scouting out Watchpoint Alpha before the rest of the forces come through. Balam didn't get that luxury, they just leeroy jenkins'd their way in, and got fried. It is petty, but by that point Balam's a sinking ship that wasn't gonna last long. To get to the Coral, you needed to stick with the winning side.
>Second
The PCA's System isn't ALLMIND, but the Ghost mechs that attack you are. At first, they identified you as a threat to the Coral Release Project, but in NG++ upon clearing the Analysis Arena missions ALLMIND decides to examine you personally to see for herself whether you're a threat or an asset, using the MIND Gamma AC and her "Kate Markson" independent mercenary persona. She most certainly leaked information to the PCA to call in a suppression squad when investigating the BAWS arsenal, since they immediately identify you as Raven, while at this point in the story you should still be just another random merc, not the Branch agent reborn.
That’s great analysis. It didn’t cross my mind that ALLMIND/Kate Markson is the one who called in the PCA during the BAWS mission.
Trying to melee only bosses is suffering.
Especially shit like cleaner.
Wtf are those hurt boxes.
Also fuck the camera.
Doing it anyway but damn.
What happens if I don't touch the classified subjects in the Arena? Will it not advance the right paths?
How nerfed was Ibis due to the patch?
Took off 20% of her health afaik
IMAGINE being a Balamfag. A tired old concern falling further and further behind. You should all be sent for reeducation. Snail would be pleased to have you.
>pulse guns your balteus2
NO! ONE LAST PLAN EAAAAAAAARGH
>Mfw if you casually walk up to Swinburne you can fool him into think you’re one of his grunt mechs and he tells you to get back to work
Snail! If it ain't the number two himself. How's the administration going? I heard Freud's getting restless; must suck not having any good pilots on his team to spar with. Why don't you send him on a sleepover at our place so he can teach my guys to keep their pieholes shut?
Tell me, Vespers. If Arquebus is so great, why did they all switch to jacked PCA gear the first chance they got?
What kind of tea does Snail drink?
Hot water with a shitton of sugar
whatever the gayest most pretentious one is.
Does it matter what paths I choose for NG++?
The ones you haven't done before and make sure you do the arenas as soon as they unlock
Be a good person.
pew pew
Yeah I make a different build every mission for fun until the game says no your setup is bad then I go gat+bubbles+pilebunker+vertical missles
I need to get back to this. BG3 absorbed all my time when it released on PS5.
Any tips on the chapter 4 boss, that zaps around and shoots horizontal lasers and such? He's kicking my ass. Do I want to be slow but tough, or quick and agile? It dodges all my songbirds.
Ibis dodges a whole lot but is fairly squishy overall, a charged pilebunker hit will take off about a quarter of their HP. Mass direct-fire missile spam isn't half-bad against it either, and gatlings will chew through it.
Stay fast if you can but don't sacrifice too much durability, the important part is being able to dodge the energy-slashes then hit it while it's still vulnerable.
Just get used to her patterns, eventually you'll find the perfect moments to land those songbirds (usually at the end of a big attack). Pilebunker is preferred once she's staggered,
i hate catafagt, what fucking moron put one in a mission where you fight a trillion LCs, both ekdromoi and only are allowed like 2 heals?
The Ekdromoi are pushovers, I'm an assault rifle user. And if Kate gets a hit on anything with the KRSV they'll be almost staggered. Get a precise weapon to deal with Catafagt and something heavy when it's staggered, missiles can hit hard but will miss easily.
>come back on NG+ with a laser rifle and Moonlight
>go through missions like a pro, feeling honest but cool.
Feels so good
>actually love using the songbirds so much I hardly switch them out now
Give me some other shoulder weapons that are viable besides missile launchers to try out.
Offhand melee weapon is my go-to but shoulder mounted laser shotgun is top fun if you build for it.
You guys DO sneak up on him, right?
Rude. He deserves better
I'm an honest noble fighter
I'm no brute
i fucking love the game
He's so likable. What a shame we can't bring Balam to victory.
>Ayre's sigh of disappointment in you
She doesn't even fucking breathe, that's how disappointed she is in you.
Really wish I could change languages in game instead of having to go back to the title screen. No idea why some games can and some cannot.
>make a meme punchy guy using two energy shotguns and PB
>test it out on arena and some missions
>it fucking shreds
Neat. Probably worthless in pvp because of zimmerman having much better results in close range but this is still better than I expected.
>Times Square 3D billboard
Well colour me surprised that Bamco actually put some advertising budget into this beyond giving free keys to Youtubers or some shit.
I wonder if we'll get DLC. The ER DLC didn't seemed to be initially planned like Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Sekiro surprisingly didn't get any DLC despite bring published by Activision.

Also these two
"We gave you fucking Elden Ring so pay up for the advertisement budget gay"
>Judge Dredd recruiting for Balam
I can't believe I never saw this before.
