Good. Let people enjoy things. Also it was racist that they put such a filter so early on because certain groups of people were never gonna figure out the solution.
This, I play games to relax, games like Zelda BotW or Horizon Dawn that let me explore the world, games like The Last of Us let me delve in the immersive story. Armored Core feels like a chore with all those overpowered "you have to exactly have this build" bosses.
And I could end this conversation by finding where you live, waiting until you have a friend or a family member over, following them, and stabbing them as a means of hurting you for being such an egotistic prick over videogames.
What's your point? Just because someone can do something, doesn't mean it should be done, or it's something to be proud of.
>I play games to relax
Why the fuck are you playing a series known for intense, fast-paced and brutal combat then?

So why are you playing a game with no exploration focused entirely on fast-paced combat?
>Armored Core feels like a chore with all those overpowered "you have to exactly have this build" bosses.
So why are you playing Armored Core if it very clearly isn't the kind of game you enjoy?
Not every game is for everyone, retard.
Nor should they be, or they'd all be the same generic, bland, boring thing.
>Why the fuck are you playing a series known for intense, fast-paced and brutal combat then?
You're in the wrong thread anon. This is Armored Core, not Soulsborne. Armored Core was never known for brutal combat.
>armored core has always been more involved than roll to iframe though
I mean loosely, yes, but, 'more' involved is kind of overselling it. OooooOOoo, dodge left and then right immediately to avoid being hit, so much more involved than dodge towards the attack to avoid being hit.
Come on bruv, let's be honest here.

But are you genuinely okay with calling that brutal? An extra dodge?
No it wasn't, armored core was always spectacle first everything else second. It was always about big arms forts set pieces and missions where you overwhelmingly dunk on everything in sight, it has more in common with ace combat than anything else. VI is a huge departure from that.

Okay, this is why you're wrong. >making the bosses easier makes the game worse
This is the statement I'm rebutting just to refresh your memory.
This isn't an RPG, there's no permanent investment in a 'build'. Every part sells back to the shop for the exact amount it was bought for and you can change your loadout and setup on the fly down to the very core (pun not intended). Making bosses easier or harder is not an issue of a patch but of your loadout. What did you beat the boss with before the supposed nerf? Did you beat the boss with only a piledriver using the lightest parts available? It's not to your liking and it's not fun, but it would make it harder if making the boss harder was all we were going for.
That's why you're wrong, because making the boss easier is completely relative, you're not stuck with a single build or with a lengthy grinding process to reroll. You're merely objecting an arbitrary change based on subjective perception built on a series of interchangeable components the argument is propped up on.

there's still an objective line in terms of difficulty that has now been moved down anon what the fuck, just because some builds were able to cheeze it before doesn't mean that the opportunity to have a more difficult fight now hasn't been removed from the game as a result of the balance patch should i want to do that, like i did the first time around, the limit of the scope of difficulty across all builds has been reduced and that's no fun

>there's still an objective line in terms of difficulty that has now been moved down anon what the fuck
Objective based on what?
Look don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to peddle some retarded argument like "Nerfing the boss doesn't make them weaker" I get that difficulty has been objectively reduced. But I'm saying your argument is flawed. Difficulty and fun are both subjective. Rhetorical question, if difficulty is what's the most important to you, why aren't you fighting every boss with the worst parts and the worst weapons in the game? Because you don't find that enjoyable. Because the standard difficulty you felt before the nerf on your specific loadout of choice was something preferable to you. And that's acceptable, that's fine. But then why don't you just be honest and say "I liked the level of difficulty I got with my setup"? Why does it have to be this nebulous all-encompassing argument for the sake of everyone, when it's clearly disingenuous because you have ways to make it harder for yourself without affecting others but you choose to criticize the nerf because you don't want it. You don't want it harder, you want the difficulty to fall within your tolerances on the setup that you prefer and that's fine on its own but when you criticize difficulty as a whole as a self-appointed representative for 'fun' it comes out as completely disingenuous and hypocritical.

NTA, but I beat the bosses with things I liked.
And it being hard was what made it fun.
I don't want a game where I can close my eyes and hold the attack button and have everything handed to me. I want to struggle. I want to be forced to rethink my playstyle and tactics. I want to have to consider factors like how the boss physically moves.
From general consensus, all the stuff I used was suboptimal, and I felt the game was perfectly balanced. Didn't buy any chip upgrades except the unlocks (Hanger, purge, ect) to maintain that balance. Every fight was just the right amount of challenge, and even on rematches with better parts, just as enjoyable.

Because I want others to awaken to my way of thinking and realize how satisfying these games can be, rather than mindlessly running through them in an empty experience. I want them to learn to persist and feel the joy of self-improvement rather than demanding the game be changed the moment they encounter adversity. Because I feel this type of instant gratification attitude and tendency to complain rather than persist when the slightest resistance is encountered is a growing problem, not only in the gaming industry, but in western culture as a whole. Everyone looks outwards and casts blame rather than looking inwards and growing. And the trends set to cater to this attitude mean most of the entertainment produced by our culture is shallow and of no value. I'm tired of seeing people take the easy way out, and tired of seeing them simply adopt the opinions of others as their own. I want them to realize what they're capable of if they're actually pushed and start to push back. I want them to take pride in their own accomplishments rather than standing on the shoulders of others, using shortcuts or mindlessly absorbing the opinions of others rather than thinking for themselves.
I suppose that is even worse of a nebulous, all-encompassing argument for the sake of everyone than the other guy made. But this subject is a microcosm of my issues with our culture as a whole.
Plus I wanna keep fighting the bird gundam boss and feeling satisfied when I do slightly better than last time because I improved, not because it was made weaker.

>Because I want others to awaken to my way of thinking and realize how satisfying these games can be
One thing to be aware of is that this thought process relies on relishing catharsis - that is, putting one through suffering or some repetitive task, then basking in the resulting catharsis from being freed. You are in a sort of masochistic state of mind where you want a game to hurt you in order to find fun and satisfaction, and I can tell you, I don't want to awaken to that kind of masochism. Not to deny that catharsis doesn't feel good - but because I'd rather feel good without having to torture myself with repetition first. I was enjoying Armored Core 6 just fine trying out weapons and various playstyles before Balteus, and although being walled at him for an hour before I changed my weapons did result in satisfying catharsis over winning, I went from having constant fun in my own way to suffering for an hour and then having a brief burst of fun. It's just not necessary to me. I play games to have fun, not be hit with a stick to make it feel good when the beating stops. (Of course, if you have a somewhat more child-like brain and fine glee/amusement in repeating the same burst of 1 minute gameplay over and over such that grinding bosses is constantly fun and exhilarating then that's another matter.)

it isn't about pain it's about growth in player skill and the skill ceiling, games with a higher skill ceiling allow for higher player skill and developing skill is what is fun, observing the contrast between your old self and your new self is satisfying, so is trying out weird unconventional builds to test yourself >(Of course, if you have a somewhat more child-like brain and fine glee/amusement in repeating the same burst of 1 minute gameplay over and over such that grinding bosses is constantly fun and exhilarating then that's another matter.)

>You are in a sort of masochistic state of mind where you want a game to hurt you in order to find fun and satisfaction
Not at all. I just enjoy depth. I see no value in a game I can walk through with my eyes closed. Games nowadays give you a plethora of options yet no reason to actually engage with them. And the reason to engage with them is primarily difficulty. I get nothing out of a game that throws a billion consumables I never have a need to actually use at me. I'd much rather one that requires me to take advantage of everything at my disposal to succeed. It's not about suffering, it's about the difference between options being meaningful or superfluous.
Assume they do listen to the "Why can't I just use what I want" posters and nerf the game to the point you'll succeed no matter what your build, like every other game. What value is there in that success then? If you don't need to actually engage, think, adapt, and grow to win, then that victory is absolutely meaningless. And in that case, the game is reduced to a shopping list. A series of mundane tasks to complete, nothing more.
>Of course, if you have a somewhat more child-like brain and fine glee/amusement in repeating the same burst of 1 minute gameplay over and over such that grinding bosses is constantly fun and exhilarating then that's another matter.
I think the last part answers that pretty succinctly.
>I play games to have fun, not be hit with a stick to make it feel good when the beating stops.
Then, as I said earlier in this thread to someone else, perhaps the game isn't for you. And that's fine. Not everything should be made for everyone, despite the prevailing attitude to the contrary in modern culture. And look at what happens when they are. Everything that made them what they were is slowly sanded off until they're all homogeneous and identical to one another. Halo, for example, is just CoD with a mass effect skin now. I've no desire to see this series follow the same trend.
What changes did they actually make?
If they changed Balteus so it's actually possible to consistently dodge his missile attacks without taking damage, that's a positive change.
This meme that an action game should force you to take small amounts of damage is retarded.
I don't get how people ever had an issue with the missiles. One of the first primers ALLMIND gives the player for parts is a tutorial explaining that boosting into damage weakens said damage and Balteus missile spam never hit its marks anyway if you just boosted straight at him.
songbirds just kill medium MTs in one shot, almost fully stagger an AC and have decent ammo. Besides stun needles they are always the best option for casual play
You can definitely have everything be strong. Have you ever played warframe? Somehow everything dying in 0.1s with almost every weapon still makes the studio mint
>let them just buff up the weapons that are lacking until they're as good as the Zimmermans/Gats.
That sounds better on paper, but in reality zimmermans are too good for the mechanics of the game, namely stagger. In PvP they invalidate any strategy other than long range missile spam. They could alternatively keep PvE and PvP balance different, but that sounds annoying to keep track of.
>They could alternatively keep PvE and PvP balance different
they did this sparingly with some things in dark souls, but really went whole-hog with it in elden ring >but that sounds annoying to keep track of
it is very annoying to have to remember stuff like how the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman (elden ring item) reduces physical damage by 20% in pve but only 5% in pvp
>They could alternatively keep PvE and PvP balance different
They have done this in past AC's. Literally Regulations. Which are a good idea. Fuck changing shit for whining PVP fucks, no one cares about them and they should be held down and Miyazaki should personally shit and cum in their eyes.
Why would they nerf them? Everything else is underperforming, they're not overperforming.
How many times do you retarded motherfuckers need to be told Armored Core isn't Dark Souls?
This is not a franchise for you to jack off to your 'build'. Armored core has always been about finding the path of least resistance, the issue wasn't that these weapons were overperforming, the issue was that they were the only ones performing up to spec so the 'path of least resistance' was just sticking to them.
First of all, no, no you can't, stop exagerating.
Secondly you're supposed to.
Welcome to armored core, it's been like this for 23 years and 16 games. Withe the path of least resistance, no encounter ever, in the history of the franchise, took longer than a minute.

What part of >you can kill every boss in 25 seconds skipping 80% of their dialogue >skipping 80% of their dialogue >of their dialogue >their dialogue >dialogue
Did you not understand? Balteus, Worm, Sea Spider and the rest do not have dialogue.
Honestly that's fine, Balteus flamethrows could 2 shot stunlock combo you from nearly 8K AP.
Same for Sea Spider x2 laser cannon with insane tracking.
And Ibis moon waves combo when spammed twice in a row with the X attack could take you from 10K AP to death.
I'd prefer Ibis as a boss much more if it had half damage on the moon waves but also x2 HP because currently it just turns the fight into a "break her stability in 30 seconds or die/restart in 30 seconds", almosy like you're doing a speedrun trick keep save scumming.
>or die/restart in 30 seconds", almosy like you're doing a speedrun trick keep save scumming.
This. If I use up any repair kits on CEL240's first phase, I just restart the checkpoint. I know I won't survive its phase 2 autism if I don't have 3 repair kits.
>Honestly that's fine, Balteus flamethrows could 2 shot stunlock combo you from nearly 8K AP.
6K. Even with the lightest AC. That's enough to survive, and those are the ones you should actually be dodging anyway, not the missiles that don't even do any damage, which people have apparently still not realized because wow big flashy attack must hurt more than the attacks that actually hurts. >Same for Sea Spider x2 laser cannon with insane tracking.
Honestly I don't understand how anyone gets hit by sea spider, nor can I remember being hit by its cannon ever.
Wait, are you wasting all your boost dodging no-damage missiles? Still? At that point of the game? >And Ibis moon waves combo when spammed twice in a row with the X attack could take you from 10K AP to death.
This one is valid, but they're not difficult to avoid once you've seen them two or three times. >break her stability in 30 seconds or die/restart in 30 seconds
Anon I'm 35 and my reaction time has been shit since 27, if I can fight Ibis for 10 minutes straight with my underpowered weapons in a light reverse-joint mech, anyone can, much less last more than 30 seconds. Ibis only has three attacks that you even need to dodge.
Wait, are you STILL wasting all your EN dodging distraction attacks? At THIS point of the game?
I also don't understand why people complain about this.
I mainly used light AC's with reverse legs and getting staggered by missiles/funnels was never a problem through the entire game.
I literally just hold the stick to the side and ignore them.
Lots of ppl used quad legs for the flying meme that's really useful on a bunch of missions so they can't just slide 90% of attacks.

If you're going to deliberately keep using a part that is making the game difficult for you, you should at least have the self-awareness not to complain about it.
I'm well aware my builds didn't have the weight capacity to field good weapons, and lacked the AP to take hits. I kept using them because I liked them. I didn't complain or blame the game, I found ways to work around those flaws and adapt to the challenge.
Using something you like is based.
Complaining the game is flawed because you insist on using something you like is retarded.
You double triggered Machine Guns and fired across the stage for constant ricochets. Well rejoice, idiot, your machine guns have more ammo to piss away on ricochets now.
Because Diablo 4 is some "live service" Blizzard shit made by corporate lapdogs who wouldn't know how to make a game if it fucked them in the ass and came on their face. They are beholden to shareholders who only know "number must go up" retardation and demand "good numbers" on meaningless shit like play time.
Don't buy shit from those fucks. They've always been shit. Always. WoW was always shit, SC and WC were always shit, Diablo was always shit. Computer only gamers had nothing so they propped up this garbage in place of having actual games.
That's the thing normalfags are so opposed to changing anything about their playstyle that they would rather bang their heads against a brick wall for hours and then leave a bad review about the game being difficult and unbalanced.
The game is built around adapting your playstyle to different situations, devs have said this numerous times but normal shits don't get it.
trial and error process of finding the right weapons for the job
you're supposed to notice that your weapons are not doing too much good against the current boss, so you switch it up until you figure out which one is the best
Until you realize you didn't buy the right one and have to go back and restart the entire thing because the only right weapon isn't in the list. Also trial and error sounds like picrel, not very interesting imo
I need an edit of that one dark souls comic, the 'a tale of two adventurers' one. >Raven #1 >Hrm, it appears this unmanned AC is capable of rapid, high-speed dodged that are rendering my current weapons ineffective, and it has fast horizontal melee strikes that are difficult to avoid using quick boost. >I know. I'll try some of the slower missiles, as their low flight speed and better tracking will make them far less likely to overshoot the target when it dodges. I can combine those with a powerful linear rifle to take advantage of openings when they present themselves, and a melee weapon to strike when the missiles stagger it. And I'll switch to a reverse-leg build that will enable me to hop over those melee strikes without wasting my EN gauge, enabling me to dodge and counterattack. >Aha, it works!
>Raven #2 >YOLO >TRIAL AND ERROR ONLY ONE BUILD JUST USE ZIMMERMANS AND SONGBIRDS
The "right build" is just the easiest way. You can beat most bosses with most loadouts if you're good with them. I beat most of the bosses with assault rifles and they were so shit they got buffed.
The easy way is there if you want it. But the fun in the game is doing shit your own way.
Decidedly not if there are so many people complaining in every thread about how they can't progress. If one solution is 10x easier, then it's not really a choice
>if there are so many people complaining in every thread about how they can't progress.
They can either eat a dick and choke on it or start getting good. I fucking hate this mentality of constantly complaining and have every challenge minimized or removed because your ego can't take it that you can't progress in a video game.

Hrm, I don't know about that one. Those basic ass ATST MT's should not be able to take an AC in a straight fight, you know?
In previous games, the challenge posed by those kinda level segments was one of versatility and attrition. You needed to bring a mech that was capable of killing them, but also one that didn't burn through all its ammo in six MT's as well. But the inclusion of checkpoints and being able to edit your mech at them entirely removed this factor. I feel this is part of the reason people get so pissed off about needing to change their builds for bosses, because this time around, that's an element of the gameplay that's ONLY necessary for bosses, whereas in previous titles both the levels and bosses required this type of adaptability. You learned quickly that you couldn't just load out with whatever you wanted and expect to win unless you had the skill to back it up, and failing a mission organically caused you to reevaluate your build and if it was suited for the task at hand.
The weirdest thing is, especially in the early levels, it FEELS like AC6 was initially balanced this way too. As if half of it was designed before the checkpoint system was added. Especially the way the levels are split up.
a lot of zoomers are too use to games were devs release shit way to powerful then nerfed them into the ground. they are angry that from is instead buffing everything that was weak to be more comparable to the stronger options to entice more people to try out other builds.
The buffs are fine, and likely warranted. Even if I used rifles for most of the game because I liked the way they felt, they were probably a little too weak. Though that's far from the biggest balance issue the game has.
Absolutely valid.
Which is why the patch should have nerfed zimzams and songbirds and left the bosses alone.
That way everyone can enjoy getting gud instead of cheating themselves.
Yeah it really IS a choice. You're CHOOSING to not have fun and then blaming the game. They give you the tools but you refuse too use them.

I won't have fun if I don't have a choice but to do some cookie-cutter optimal build. If I wanted to do that I could just watch someone else play it, because it'd be exactly the same.
>But the fun in the game is doing shit your own way
it's unfortunate bosses and enemies have damage resistances out the ass for no reason, meaning it's very difficult to make a loadout which works in any scenario UNLESS you go the easiest way, which is always effective
You're a whinging dumbass. I have never given a shit about enemy resistances. I am the most casual player literally just banging my head against a brick wall using what looks like fun and winning. I legit didn't even know you could bring up a more detailed stat screen for equipment until halfway through my playthrough. I never used heavy weapons like the minigun or grenade launcher because I thought those were the weapons that made you stand still to fire and I didn't want to use the quad legs and by the time I realized I was wrong I already fell into a groove with lighter weapons.
I am the fucking epitome of casual and yet I beat this game with no guide or anything while you sit here complaining about how hard the game is. This is the easiest game From have ever put out. Shut up and nut up you dumb bitch.

I didn't either and I S ranked the whole thing
doesn't change the fact that pulse shields are extremely strong vs lasers, that skeleton wheels are immune to anything non-explosive, that C-spider takes no damage from the flamethrower and so on >complaining about how hard the game is
reading comprehension moron
It's true, when I was going for S Ranks on all the missions it was extremely hard to not play the meta shotgun/gatling+needle launcher because most other guns that are strong in PVP are absolute dogshit in the campaigns (like the stun guns/vientos/nebulas and the handcannons etc)
They have so little fucking ammo that you'll never be able to have enough to finish the mission without abusing the reload checkpoint which would invalid your S Rank runs. I don't know why they have to make so many weapons so ammo constrained, what's the point of doing this?
>Why even have customization if you only have one valid build?
The customization is to encourage you vary your loadout to suit your tastes, not to sit with your thumb up your ass and feel like you can coast through things with some one size fits all solution and not actually end up doing much customizing at all. There is no "valid build" in this game despite what meta slaves will tell you.
I have never used Zimmers or Songbirds, nor felt the need to.
Until you realize you didn't buy the right one and have to go back and restart the entire thing because the only right weapon isn't in the list. Also trial and error sounds like picrel, not very interesting imo
Considering how forgiving the checkpoints where, swapping weapons was never a problem since I always made sure to have a good variety that covered several niches available to me to begin with.
Figuring out what works is part of the fun and accumulating that game knowledge becomes a rewarding experience since you'll intuitively know what works for certain encounters because you actually spent the time experimenting. Just waltzing in and with the expectation to one shot everything all the time leads to a very dull experience.

>There is no "valid build" in this game despite what meta slaves will tell you. >I have never used Zimmers or Songbirds, nor felt the need to.
You. You I like.
A lot of MMOs I played in the past have a shit ton of PVP builds that rely on Stun as the core move to kill other players. There are skills that break stuns and you need cool down and shit, maybe they can balance around that and add more stun breaking moves. Assault Armor and Pulse Armor is already something like that. Heck, even Elden Ring has Ash of War that resets poise. Right now, there is no effective way to reset "Poise" during the heat of combat.
IMO that is a pretty shitty mechanic.
MMO are not good games. They should not be used as a yardstick for balancing anything.
That's just pure arrogance on their part.
If they're struggling, there is nothing wrong with changing to a cheese build. And if they feel guilty about it, there's nothing stopping them from coming back to the fights they cheesed later by replaying the mission.
Now the sad thing is that those OP builds like Oroboro's or PowerPyx's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1bD2Jhz6fw) are going to be EVEN STRONGER thanks to the nerfs to Balteus combined with the fact that THESE LAME CHEESE BUILDS DID NOT GET ANY OF THEIR PARTS NERFED AT ALL.
So if it previously took someone 30 seconds to kill Balteus using this cheese build, it'll probably now only take like 15-20 seconds to do it with the exact same build.
If you're gonna share a build why not give a code for the upload feature, just because of the bit he put in the comments that the head he used was preorder only and gave the alternative. If I was gonna copy his build I may as well copy his paint scheme but not if that means doing it manually
>updates on steam are mandatory and you have to crack the game to not update
Why is Steam like this? I paid for the game. Let me play the game I bought without it being transformed into something I didn't buy.
T2 forced them to, you will notice that forced autoupdates with no option to decline or prevent them began coinciding with Rockstar of David having to update all digital copies of the game to remove licensed music that expired. Most of the storefronts started doing this around the same time too
Nice personal attack gay, I don't care about any kind of e penis contest on the internet. I'd just fucking like my games to retain at least a modicum of challenge and for devs to stop listening to fucking baby retards who want a "I win button".
I’m a little disappointed in the playerbase for making the devs feel like they needed to nerf those bosses, but at least they didn’t nerf any weapons. I’m very happy to see that.
Will beating the game on some anons terms chamge something in your life? Are you going to be complete once you defeat that boss that isn't doing -15% damage?
I beat Balteus with just two charge rifles and a shoulder mounted sword. Alongside the small but fast charging generator and the hoppy jump legs.
I am not sure if the charge rifles were actually that effective against the boss with the energy shield and all. But the range was very much appreciated, and I learned how to avoid all of its attacks in a few tries anyway.
I was going to replay the mission and S rank it because I loved the boss so much, but I kept postponing it in favour of actually playing new missions (and some other games I've been playing simultaneously to AC6). But now I really regret having postponed it. Regret it a lot.
Had a lot of fun against the sea spider too. Them getting nerfed like this is no fun at all.
And the bosses I never even got to fight yet getting nerfed hurts extra bad.
>Like it's been said a million times, you can always play 1.0 if it's such an issue
By pirating the game I have bought officially?
I just might, but that's still ridiculous.
>Is there a problem with that?
Yes. It shouldn't be necessary. At all. It's ridiculous.
I've got no moral qualms against file sharing or any such things if that's what you believe. But the bought copy being completely invalidated like that is an issue yes. Because if you actually pay for a product, it should be on par. Key word being should, but still.
>and set it to stop updating automatically
How? Pretty sure Steam removed that option years ago.
The best option you've got now is to not automatically update -unless- you attempt to start the game. At which point it'll force the update anyway. But I guess I could like, disconnect from the internet every time or something.
>And the bosses I never even got to fight yet getting nerfed hurts extra bad.
The third one mentioned in the patch notes I felt was a bit tiresome anyway. Not hard, didn't require me to tweak my setup much, but I just didn't quite like the boss.
You people are the actual cattle. Not knowing a lick or giving a fuck about video game balancing and thinking you’re hot shit and know better than the devs working at FROMSOFT with decades of experience making action games.
Doing things right for a decafe doesen't make you invulnerable. You'll bleed just the same if you fall in the stairs. I've never claimed not to be part of that cattle
>only really has one difficult to dodge attack
Anon, it literally says there they changed the attacks
I don't know if there's a way that people can rip open the files to see the exact changes unlike weapon stats, but there's a high chance you're agreeing with the change here.
The key to Balteus is realizing the missiles are nothing but a pretty light show to waste your EN and bait badly timed dodges.
You can just strafe a salvo and take like 300 AP damage.
A single shot from the grenade cannon on the other hand will take off 3k AP.
>Waa DPS race
Anyone who uses this term I immediately assume to be the type of gay that looks up a guide on every boss before even fighting them once. The kind of smoothbrain that has long ago forgotten the joy of discovering things themselves and refuses to use anything a youtuber hasn't told them to think is good.
>But the fun in the game is doing shit your own way
it's unfortunate bosses and enemies have damage resistances out the ass for no reason, meaning it's very difficult to make a loadout which works in any scenario UNLESS you go the easiest way, which is always effective
Was never a problem for me, and general consensus seems to be that most of the weapons I enjoyed using were underpowered.
Yeah it really IS a choice. You're CHOOSING to not have fun and then blaming the game. They give you the tools but you refuse too use them.
Refusing to use the tools was me CHOOSING to have fun.
But then, I'm not the kinda gay that complains when a game challenges me, I'm the kind that can't cum unless I've lost to a boss at least six times and had to actually think about what I'm doing and maybe use some of the billions of consumables and options the game has given me no reason to bother with before now.
>and only really has one difficult to dodge attack
Which attack would that be? Because side from a few chips here and there from its basic weapons, I really didn't have a hard time dodging anything and I was still using wire a few starting parts.
Yes they did. Balteus' attacks no longer home in as effectively, Sea Spider's damage multipliers were raised (mainly for energy and explosives) to make it less tanky, and Ibis does around 15-25% less damage depending on the attack while allegedly losing a smidge of overall HP. Functionally speaking, it seems they were tuned to be less excessively durable and/or damaging.
>LR-036 CURTIS: Increased attack power, decreased reload time.
I've been playing the entire game using these. They got buffed?
Sure they're weaker than heavier weapons, but they're still highly effective. And while money might be a complete non-issue, they're like the most money to power cost effective weapon in the game after the free to use weapons.
And they aren't the only weapons buffed. Why are they buffing so much stuff?
The general consensus was that the Rifles and Machineguns were virtually unused but by risky or unknowing players because they simply just didn't have the DPS, projectile speed, or reload times to function with the stagger philosophy of the game. Linear Rifles could hold their own, but From included them in the buffs anyway.
>but by risky or unknowing players because they simply just didn't have the DPS, projectile speed, or reload times to function with the stagger philosophy of the game
That's why I used two of them at the same time. Even if the accumulated stagger from their shots isn't that impressive, the stagger from a charged shot is equivalent to a lot of the rockets. And if you hit both charged shots that will stagger real good.
instead of properly nerfing the most retarded weapons in the game, they're using those most complained about as benchmarks for comparison to everything else
Right now, there is no effective way to reset "Poise" during the heat of combat.
you hate to see it but from heavily nerfs a lot of their games. never forget prenerf shrine of amana, the true hell that no souls game has ever topped since. easily the hardest content they've ever released.
a lot of zoomers are too use to games were devs release shit way to powerful then nerfed them into the ground. they are angry that from is instead buffing everything that was weak to be more comparable to the stronger options to entice more people to try out other builds.
>le zoomer
you worthless retard if everything was buffed to zimmerman levels the bosses would get deleted in 20 seconds
Elden Ring nerfed bleed without making it useless or weak, and the same should have happened in AC6
>no buffs for the Karasawa, the most iconic energy weapon in the series
Why is From allowing their series staple to be such garbage? It's quite possibly the worst weapon in the entire game.
>meme >best weapon in just about every AC for the right hand, while Moonlight is usually solid, if not best, for the left
You never played an AC before.
Motherfucker the complaint is about the Karasawa not receiving any attention. Read retard, read. I don't care if it's a "muh early game patch", they shouldn't just do only the early game stuff. Arguably it's more important to address mid to late game balance, not fucking first playthrough shit.
This really pisses me off. I worked my ass off to be balteus. I’m not a hardcore souls player but I tried over 1 month using tips and builds from community. It was one of the most thrilling gaming moments of my life when I finally beat him.
Now any noob can beat him. Makes me want to quit the game. It’s not fair at all.
Why does it matter to you what someone else does in their insulated singleplayer instance? What if they modded the game to add themselves 9 trillion damage with a popular mod, would that ruin it for you too? Nobody can take your experiences away from you.
>Why does it matter to you what someone else does in their insulated singleplayer instance?
Because it minimize the worth of his achievement. For him it was a difficulty he managed to overcame. By nerfing shit they're robbing him of that feeling. What he struggled with is now viewed as a piece of cake.
>minimizing the achievement
anon its a fucking Armored core game. he only struggled because his build was shit and he was too retarded to learn. that is not an achievement, that is retardation that goes against the philosophy of the game pre-nerf
Why does he care so much about how some anonymous person on the internet thinks about his 'achievement'? It's a game meant for your enjoyment, it doesen't actually give you any tangible benefit in real life, except having fun. All game achievements are inherently zero value to others
>Why does he care so much about how some anonymous person on the internet thinks about his 'achievement'?
I don't fucking know his motivations. I'm just explaining the reasoning
Because Ganker is autistic as fuck. In life they are not chads and the only cred they can get is beating some hard boss and bragging about it online.
When a game boss gets made easier they lose their one bragging right and are left to ponder again and replay their high school year moments fantasising different choices they wish they’d made
I hear you anon, but you either don’t have a great grasp on the flow of time or spent some time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber trying to beat Balteus because this game came out less than three weeks ago
Could anyone on the new update please screenshot the stat pages of the updated weapons and share them in the thread?
I am not updating. But I am curious.
>no changes to impact
Well, this is fucking stupid. Rifles and machine guns should have enough impact to make them worth using over the Zimmer. Everything besides the Zimmer locks you in place or forces you to charge/reload more often for the same level of performance. That's why it's such a huge problem.
They have. It was done so that overall stagger buildup is the same when taking the projectile speed buffs into account.

Hey retard, are you going to own up to your bullshit or what? Thread is almost ending.
First and foremost, don't pretend the bosses being too hard was not a problem since you're retarded and were fine grinding your face against an artificially difficult wall for hours. This is bad gameplay, and was the most-discussed aspect of the game on launch. No developer should want such clear imbalance in their game and From was right to fix what was the primary flaw in the game. People weren't complaining for no reason - it was just bad, and when recommending the game you always had to add in the disclaimer that there's a high chance of being walled for hours a couple of hours into the game.
Second, changing your builds to get over these walls did not constitute "observing the situation and adjusting your build accordingly." It means figuring out which 2 weapon types have the most burst DPS, and that burst DPS is the most important thing in the game due to the stagger bar, then using them. There is no situational awareness or fun adjustments to do here; it's a binary question of whether you want to shotty/gatling/songbird to victory or, for no reason at all, gimp yourself with shittier weapons. This was not fun or interesting mech-building, and you can easily clear the entire game with one build, so those who started with them could cruise through the game experiencing none of the hell other people were experiencing. Changing playstyle / your mech was NOT the focus here - identifying the quirks of the game system and exploiting them to destroy bosses in seconds to avoid actually playing the game was. And that's not good.
Third, as others have said, this becomes an unexusable problem when put in the context of missions braindead easy. You do NOT want a game to be braindead easy for hours at a time then ball-crushingly hard. Every human being will notice the contrast. It's clear the bosses were not meant to be so hard, judging by how trivial missions are. If they want an easy game, let it be easy and chill the whole time.
I said "burst DPS," and the weapons with the best burst DPS are not bad on bosses (shotguns, songbirds, gatlings). Is there better burst DPS that's worse on bosses? I suppose I should have mentioned the ice worm shoulders.
Only the Ibis was actually "ballcrushingly hard". The Balteus was piss easy with the right setup, not even burst DPS but literally just pulse weapons, and realizing kinetics also suck ass on Sea Spider while recognizing its patterns.
Straight up you're just bad at the game and then blame the game instead of trying to experiment or discover.
>The Balteus was piss easy with the right setup
You can't read.
I'm speaking generally. There is no "true difficulty" of the fight here, there is only the experience people have. We can see, empirically, that it is no uncommon experience for people to spend hours on Balteus, drop the game because of Balteus, refund because of Balteus, etc. We can say t he boss is a very challenging experience for most. Nitpicking that "he's actually easy with the right setup" misses the point entirely.
It's not even particularly about the setup.
Balteus dies if you stay very close to him, pay extra attention to dodge his bazooka and jump the flame thrower. I don't care what your build is. If you focus on that you'll get him within an hour or so no matter if your build is good or bad against him. Sure, some builds are so good they outright cheese him.
But when some people not just refuse to change their build, but also refuse to change their tactics they really should just get filtered out and their opinion discarded.
>and were fine grinding your face against an artificially difficult wall for hours
Hey. I beat Balteus under 90 minutes. Without changing my mech assembly.
And the spider took me like 60~ minutes.
>blah blah me me me me me
And some people beat Balteus second try. Again, I'm speaking generally about patterns. Game developers are not patching and balancing a game just for you anon, they do it for the whole playerbase.
1.5 hours, I should say, is still a pretty hefty time for the first real boss - in the context of a game where every other mission can be trivially completed first try.
>in the context of a game where every other mission can be trivially completed first try
If I could trivially complete every mission first try I would have never bought the game ever. Fuck that. Might as well just watch a playthrough on youtube then for the spectacle then.
Dude. If every mission, namely the entire game. Is trivially completed. Then what's even the game?
Then it'd just be one of those options that some story focused games have, that removes all difficulty for the sake of allowing players to just cruise through the story without ever actually having to engage with the gameplay.
The missions all being trivial would be terrible. Don't even try to claim otherwise.
Oh no! I had to play the video game for an hour to progress and I had to learn and/or experiment to overcome it! Literally hell. Who would do that? Play a video game and engage with its mechanics? Let me spray low ammo machine guns across the entire arena against an energy shield for the 100th time. Maybe it works this time and if it doesn't it's the game's fault and I'll leave a bad review on Steam.
>Ayre begins to like the name "Raven" as a symbol of freedom now championed by 621 >the previous Raven is accused as the one who brought back conflict to Rubicon
What did she mean by this?
>Nerfing Sea Spider
WHO THE FUCK HAD TROUBLE WITH FUCKING SEA SPIDER? It can't dodge shit and it telegraphs its attacks hard, it's by far the easiest boss outside some basic ACs.
For what it's worth, its missiles are more difficult to dodge than balteus's, and even though it'll give you a noticeable warning before firing them, it'll fire fast lasers at you while the missiles are homing. And depending on that can be pretty rough indeed.
But the worst thing is that rarely, which makes it pretty unpredictable, it'll shoot twice as many laser shots than it does normally. With no tell. Making it very easy to get hit if you bet it on it only shooting a couple of shots and then getting slammed by twice as many.
>Missiles >Dodging.
Why tho.
Literally just hold to one side and pretend they don't exist.
No boss's missiles are a threat in this game, they are primarily a distraction so you waste/mistime your boosts and get hit by their attacks that can actually deal damage.
. >Why tho.
If you don't get hit. You are dodging. I didn't mean Quick Boosts if you thought that.
And the viability of being able to avoid the missiles on the ground using normal speed depends a lot on your AC's speeds.
>No boss's missiles are a threat in this game, they are primarily a distraction so you waste/mistime your boosts and get hit by their attacks that can actually deal damage.
Why do you think I mentioned the laser cannon? It's the combination. And balteus doesn't really have that. The spider is a more difficult boss for overlapping the attack patterns while balteus is very one note in comparison.
You're the only other person that seems to have had the same experience as me on that one.
Honestly thought people were trolling at first by pretending this game's pinwheel was actually a hard boss.
Kind of build did you use for it, out of curiosity?
Its machine gun might not deal a lot of damage, but it staggers lighter builds very easily. And being staggered is enough for the boss to kill you.
And it's difficult to avoid the machine gun fire unless you keep your distance, but the missile spam and huge rifle is most easily dodged by staying close and thus you've got something of a dilemma.
>used dual zimzams/dual gatlings and songbirbs for NG+ and NG++ >switched to dual stun needles and dual HARRIS rifles for the fast as fuck enemies >breezed through the game >also used Rock Sling only during my Elden Ring playthrough

I'm at least glad they realized that was a mistake in V and ditched it.
Stagger is irritating, but nowhere near as obnoxious as that was.
>slight buff on weapons no one uses = you didn't beat the game
I hope you anon are only playing along and memeing and don't actually think this is gonna change anything.
>slight buff
At least in terms of DPS it seems that the buffed weapons got improved by 25-35%. Would've preferred an increase in ideal/effective range though in addition to the projectile speed buff.
i tried that on my last attempt and it didn't work out too well but i'm guessing that's the better way to do it, the asshole's whip just keeps getting me. i'll try that approach again when I return
They didn't get buffed in a way that really matters though. Zimm still does more DMG and STG and has the same effective range too.
They can be used on their own now, yes, but that's little reason to pick them over other options.
C Spider is easy. The only tough thing about it is its high kinetic defense, so you need to bring weapons with a kick to them.

>Didn't touch any upgrades other than the unlocks because I didn't want to make the game too easy. >From patches the game to make it too easy anyway.
Why can't we have nice things?
$10 says that if you use the wheelchair you'll somehow be even faster
Tried it out in the training area.
The wheel chair can top out at 430 top speed in game. Although that was with no weapons. With the lightweight needle pistol/dagger setup it sits at 427 in game.
Firmeza seems to accelerate much faster though in the first second so it might still win over short distances from a dead stop.
Stupid that the mumbers are off on this.
It's strange how everyone memes about Fromsoft making these difficult ultra hardcore games when in reality they are one of the few devs out there who straight up nerf their games' difficulty through updates so every chimp out there can beat them
No, they don't.
Reducing damage on one or two boss attacks by 10% isn't gonna magically made DPS tier players destoy the boss, it'll just reduce 1-2 wombo combo deaths before you even get to use all 3 kits.
>Nerfs aren't nerfs if they don't reduce the difficulty to journalist tier
Holy mother of cope dude, gays were whining about the retard filter bosses so of course Fromsoft instantly appeased them.
From dosen't apply these nerfs because of twitter/steam forum whine threads.
They can see how many deaths every player has from their save file, it's hidden data and each time you connect to online they check your save.
So it's clear they want something like 20-40 deaths on averge per boss, but they're seeing 50-80 and decided for slight tweaks to avoid big hit->stagger->hit again->DEAD combos.
>Should we nerf OP weapons and fix the dogshit stagger system that is dooming even PVP and makes bosses atrocious to fight against? >No, it must be bosses that need a nerf
What a shit game
At the very least, they should make it so that you can escape a stagger more quickly so that specific boss attacks (like CEL240's second phase "flaming bird tackles") don't combo you to death.
It's also so frustrating to get hit by the first hit of a boss's melee combo and get staggered, then because you're locked into a stagger animation, their second hit also hits you.
Just give us a fucking OS Tuning upgrade that can half stagger time (and make it only work for PvE if they're afraid of having it bust PvP).
>decided to give S ranking the game a try >load up mission 1 for the first time in about 30 hours >beat the first part hitless and stomp filtercopter >maybe lost 800 AP total
I got good
Seems they buffed most automated ballistic rifles to keep up with Gatling guns but what about buffing shotguns so they can be even remotely as strong as zimzams? What about the various rocket launchers so Songbirds aren't a one trick?
>always like a shoulder mounted grenade launcher >Songbird has noticeably good damage, light weight, appears fairly early >a lot of people shitting on it because it is somewhat meta
This game has a PS1 era vibe to it. It doesn't pretend to be anything but being a videogame. Bosses are hard, but manageable.
In terms of damage, probably better than gatling.
in terms of impact, not really. Curtis might be good for stagger now because of the fire rate increase though.
Gattling is still king for sustained DPS because rifles need to reload fairly often. As long as don’t let gattling overheat. If that happens you fucked up.
But rifles/machine guns are fully useable now. And function at ranges other than point blank. Gattling’s recoil is uncontrollable even with best arms. So like 30% of shots end up missing even at 75m.
Are the AC boss battles legit? I was fucking around with Walter's Hal specs earlier and the energy management of the version in the data collection feels really ass compared to the zippy bullshit of his boss battle. Ayre has an excuse in that you can't see her specs but this feels off.
Walter is altered somehow. It's pretty standard as far as like Armored Core is concerned though. In past games enemies would break EN and weight limits all the time.
Yeah you get the HAL parts, but im saying the fight against him you arent fighting a replicable AC like you are in the Freud or other pilot fights. hes buffed up the ass (hes still a joke of a fight though compared to the other 2 bosses)
The ACs use stats in the Arena / in-game battles shared with you, which is why balance patches and mod tweaks will alter them, but Walter is an original target technically despite using AC AI, and thus breaks all the limiters. Even if he wasn't, ACs in this game break stagger rules, repair kit rules depending on the fight, and EN rules, QBing a specific set of times to fake recharging but able to perfectly dodge almost everything the moment it comes out that doesn't trick them.
How to you get the most out of kinetic pistols? I just can't see a situation where I would choose the pistol over a shotgun. Are they really meant for ultra light builds only?
>Double needle missile in the face has some of the largest damage values after stagger that are in the fucking game >Some gay doesn't think its enough
They only under perform against some bosses in PvE. But in PvP they are goddamn lethal. What the fuck?
If I had realized that they were going to make the game easier then I wouldn't have played so much BG3 and Splatoon.
Fuck I even started grinding Godhome in Hollow Knight.
We don't even know what the nerfs were, if it's just -10% damage on a few attacks like the Sea Spider laser, it's not a big deal since that only really matters for light builds not getting wombo-combo'd one shot when getting stability broken.
They Radahn'd Balteus. That actually makes me really fucking sad, he was one of my favorite bosses. The tracking on his missiles is shit and the frequency of his bazookas is reduced. I'm so genuinely upset, fuck. It was such a cool experience to see people try to beat him and then beat him and that feeling of treasured rush is gone now.
Radahn's HP/damage nerfes were reversed.
Only slight adjustments to the length of his swords was kept because they were 25% longer than his swords were visually.
The missile tracking was gutted?
That really is sad. Balteus was kind of a skill check on the many different ways you can (or can't) dodge missile fire.
Balteus is like where most newcomers realise that you depending on the missiles, boosting towards the enemy can actually a viable method to avoid fire in spite of how overbearing the missile rain might look.
But if you can avoid the missiles easily by just not standing still, then I doubt many players would even attempt something as unintuitive as boosting into the enemy.
Why would I care about that?
All I care about is it being satisfying to play.
You know there's no prize for being good at video games on mongolian basket weaving forums, right?
Why would I care about that?
All I care about is it being satisfying to play.
You know there's no prize for being good at video games on mongolian basket weaving forums, right?
Perhaps I should clarify.
Nerfs make the game less satisfying to play.
I enjoyed the bosses pre-nerf and felt they were well balanced.
I'm just pointing out nobody gives a shit that you beat Ibis in 0.2 microseconds.
I always thought it was Allmind. Similar to her shitting out the C Weapons in the strider quest if you decide to help the RLF instead of destroy it
Its definitely allmind. In route 3 Ayre discovers Allmind's encryption when the invis fucks attack you in Carla's scrapyard, the one where Iguazu ambushes you. She notices their encryption patterns, follows it to their source and discovers allmind's hidden files
my problem with the game is that there's nothing to do after you finish NG++ and maybe bother with S-ranks (for 0 rewards)
there should've been a minigame of co-op wave survival with a bunch of enemies and bosses/secret bosses
Melee specialisation arms + OST upgrades for melee and direct hits = 60% HP bunker on Ibis, here's a prepatch webm:
Honestly that's fine, Balteus flamethrows could 2 shot stunlock combo you from nearly 8K AP.
Same for Sea Spider x2 laser cannon with insane tracking.
And Ibis moon waves combo when spammed twice in a row with the X attack could take you from 10K AP to death.
I'd prefer Ibis as a boss much more if it had half damage on the moon waves but also x2 HP because currently it just turns the fight into a "break her stability in 30 seconds or die/restart in 30 seconds", almosy like you're doing a speedrun trick keep save scumming.
>Ganker hated Elden Ring because of Rivers of Blood/Comet Azur cheese (all perfectly nerfed in range and damage into a good spot) >It's now defending AC6 for NOT nerfing the worse equivalent of Rivers of Blood
Ganker hated Elden Ring because they wanted QTEkiro combat system. Any excuse was only just that. AC6 is a low budget ps2 tier rushed hackjob, and fits Ganker contrarian taste so they'll defend it no matter what
I wish they had made a harder mode. Why are they even making the game even easier? There are a bunch of game breaking weapons and builds that bulldoze this game into nothingness already, with the least player input required, why do they think they need to start here.
because the rifles and machineguns were fuck awful for anything beyond MT slaughters unless you were dual wielding the same weapons inefficiently to buzz shit with non-stop bullets to the face, and you were still better off with stronger weaponsets
Can they raise the base damage of all bosses and player AC parts by 25%? AC vs AC battles feel so short especially in pvp where it's joever when either player gets staggered even once.
yeah it is
I liked the first half for being the anti-gundam show (all the enemies get "gundams" while the protagonist fights with a trash mech)
the soundtrack, along with other sawano hiroyuki soundtracks are my guilty pleasure though
Bros, I just started the game. Why can't I equip any weapons?
Is it because my AC is too light? I thought only generators affected energy but is it how heavy it is too?
The shop shows if I buy the heavier chest my EN load will go up.
There are two 'overburdened' stats you need to worry about: EN Shortfall, and actual Overburdening.
An EN Shortfall means your generator doesn't have enough power to support your AC and your chosen weapons. Energy weapons suck down a lot of energy, kinetic and explosives less so. The tradeoff there is that kinetic and explosive ammo is pricey, so you'll get a bigger cut out of your pay for ammo costs after a mission. To boost your EN Capacity, equip a better generator. Arquebus generators are specced for energy weapons, and tend to have a higher EN Capacity.
Overburdening is what it sounds like. Your chosen equipment is too heavy to sortie with. There's an OS Tuning upgrade that bypasses this safety check, letting you sortie while overburdened, you'll just move slower. Your core and legs components factor into your max burden capacity. Also, the heavier you are, the slower you'll move on average. So if you want to move fast, try building your AC to be light.
Also keep in mind that heavy doesn't mean slow, with the right boosters and paying careful mind to ideal weight you can zip around nimbly even as a fatass full dafeng fat boi with heavy weapons. Your ground boost speed will suck, but your qbs will be more than usable.
>ibis literally is the most predictable boss, just keeps doing the same shit on repeat, will literally dash at you or dash to the side >balteus is big meme, it has no attacks, just missle spam that is useless >sea spider just has big hp bar, nothing else
did they really nerf this braindead game lol?
is big meme, it has no attacks, just missle spam that is useless
Did you actually play the game?
Baltus has a 4K damage cannon that he backpadals with and point blank shots you if you follow him when he runs away.
Also the phase 2 instant assault armor hit and flamethrower that can combo you from ~6K AP.
it has both a visual and a sound cue
you are mentally impaired >instant assault armor
it takes several seconds and ayre is screaming at you to get clear
you are mentally impaired >flamethrower
you are in a mech and can just hover over it you subhuman fuck
even if you are mentally impaired you can just jump over it
Ayre's voice line needs to happen like 4 seconds earlier.
She literally says "The waves are..." and the explosion happens before she finishes the sentence.
You can only use it as a tell for the attack if you already know it's gonna happen.
If you're in melee range, it's a 90% chance you're getting hit.
The fact people complain about the missiles, which barely do scratch damage, when all the things you're listing are his actual threats, speak to how little attention the average player pays.
Also keep in mind that heavy doesn't mean slow, with the right boosters and paying careful mind to ideal weight you can zip around nimbly even as a fatass full dafeng fat boi with heavy weapons. Your ground boost speed will suck, but your qbs will be more than usable.
Those ideal boost weight stats do actually make a huge difference, and most people don't seem to realize this yet. I think a lot of them are strapping boosters made for light mechs onto heavy builds, not realizing that most of the stats are suffering a significant penalty because they're twice the weight the booster is rated for.
it has both a visual and a sound cue

This is why I love reverse legs. Instant airtime, no boost cost at all. And fuck they even turn your QB into leaping bounds that can fuck with people as an added bonus. Lotta people sleeping on just how fucking good they are for mobility, even the heavy spring chicken ones.

I've had this happen as well, usually when she was near the end of another voice line when he popped it.
Still, in his second phase you probably wanna be keeping at midrange, diving in to attack when his ACS is low, then pulling back constantly anyway, since everything he gets in that phase is a new close-range threat.
>FAT SAZABI LEGS >tiny pinhead
When I saw the head icon I though it was a huge buckethead like Cherno Alpha, then I looked to the right at my AC preview and the buckethead is fucking tiny.
Man once you learn the game you can finish off enemies super quick. I didn't even use any cheese weapons here. Rusty died in 10 seconds, Flatwell died in 2.
This.
Build matters a bunch if you suck but skill can allow you to dominate bosse even with sub par weapons.
I redid Balteus with only a pulse sword and melee punches and while the fight was close I did get him in like 10 attempts.
Doesn't matter, even if it's a 0.1% change you factually did not play the same game those who challenged the game on 1.0 did, ergo, you did not beat THE game.
If you used vertical missiles at any point, you need to re-beat the game, but you can't beat the game anymore.
Nobody can beat the game, it's unbeatable.
>Missiles are shit you retard
You are absolutely foolish and focusing entirely on raw DPS. Missiles are pressure, they'll either waste too much time dodging your main gunshots and eat up missiles or they'll spend time evading missiles so you can make them eat shots. They're not meant to be a primary damage proponent against major foes, but build up the ACS so you can stagger them more readily.
Why the fuck do you think Balteus' missile spam is such a threat despite the miniscule damage? It's not about the damage, it's about forcing players to maneuver and waste time under pressure while your gauge builds from the scratch damage rapidly.
Good post.
And let's not forget, they're fire and forget.
In a game like this, attention can be a resource in a pitched battle. Having to take the time to line up a shot can distract you from dodging the attack coming at you. Missiles alleviate that. You don't need to wait for an opening to present itself, you don't need to worry about your range, you don't need to worry about a firing animation pausing you at a critical moment. You can give dodging your full attention, fire them off when you've got a moment's breathing room, then focus on getting into position to capitalize on them when they hit, rather than dividing your attention between offense and evasion.
Plus they give you a ton of options to suit what you're up against. Vertical missiles just auto-bypass Juggernaut's armour (Real shame we never got a second fight with one without Rusty distracting it, or I expect they'd get more love.) Up against something like IBIS or a player that moves quickly and dodges a lot? Use the slower direct-fire missiles, in a minute or two there'll be a conga line of the things trailing after them constantly and the SECOND they fuck up, they'll eat the entire line at once for a guaranteed stagger. All while you're free to keep moving around, baiting, feinting, pressuring them, and just waiting for that inevitable mistake.
It's just a shame they didn't bring back relation missiles.
>Shoot trainer AC until his stagger is primed in orange >Fire missiles >Shoot Trainer AC one more time for stagger in red >Seconds later, missiles hit
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
You took a lot more damage than you really should. Thing is, a triple missile build that easily fits on a flying lightweight will do what you're doing even faster because Furlong's hand missiles are stupid and will breach that stagger limit in one go. Cataphract is the biggest joke in the entire game, even LCs are more threatening.
>try to beat the game with dual rifles >bosses feel like unkillable sponges >complain and get called a retard >first patch literally only buffs rifles and nerfs bosses
From said 'are you okay retard'.
the way recoil works is that as it builds up a certain percentage of your shots will ignore tracking and just go anywhere. recoil pretty much only kicks in when dual wielding or using some really high ROF guns like SMGs, minigun, etc.
so for explosives the stat doesn't really matter but you want to remember to delay them to reset recoil if you've used high recoil guns before
firearm spec affects tracking and lockon time. lockon time difference is so minimal that it doesn't matter and I don't think there is any data on tracking performance.
so in general it's firearm spec > recoil
Someone did some testing on the /vg/ threads and found that recoil control also affects the first shot. However, it only really fucks up the nachtreiher arms because those are garbage.
According to a garden gnometube comment I read the recoil animation will be faster the higher your arm's recoil management is, so it isn't completely useless for those. Thing is, the vast majority of arms have insufficient recoil management for any dual gun setup.
fromsoft is the most hypocritical studio currently, forget about the starflop and the thousand rehashed planets
fromsoft keeps trying to be this cool, masterfully crafted harder than your usual slop with their 'prepare to die' edition games, but if most of the players can't even beat tutorial or chapter 1 boss and their 'sale-rates' are a pitiful 1 million they end up nerfing the games
casuals are the mass that dictates what company makes how much money, gays can't even just not nerf a game let alone make it hard
>hard is...le good
Seethe, your achievement is now worth nothing. No one cared or will care that you beat the boss. You achieved nothing, everyone will beat it easily, you have wasted your time for nothing. Get a real hobby.
I just want to play the original game anon, I enjoy playing things like they came out before patches and fixes and stuff. Maybe it's nothing but it certainly caught me by surprise.
>stay close to balteus and dodge the bazooka >stay under sea spider and dodge its lunge attack >dodge Ibis wave attacks and wait for openings(the fight literally starts with giving you one)
Ahhhh noooo! I'm going insaaaaane! This is toooooo hard! It's just too hard! Nerfs! Neeerfs!
Are they actually nerfed and not buffed? That's kinda stupid tbh. I already S-rank'd all boss levels and it's only normal levels left for me. Honestly it's harder to S-rank those average levels because you have to consider ammo cost and damage taken, but every boss is trivialized by shotguns needles combo.
If you update the game then you didn't beat the game.
I beat it three times pre-patch, so I'm in the clear.
what was that, litle moron?
Good. Let people enjoy things. Also it was racist that they put such a filter so early on because certain groups of people were never gonna figure out the solution.
That's fucking aids.
Fuck you. Play better or play a different game.
>certain groups
Such as?
Doctors, engineers and astronauts.
Normalfags and NPCs.
You're much dumber than you think you are.
I always knew that the helicopter was a racist
the anons sho fell for this bait have negative iq.
>Also it was racist that they put such a filter so early on
Why are nips like this?
This, I play games to relax, games like Zelda BotW or Horizon Dawn that let me explore the world, games like The Last of Us let me delve in the immersive story. Armored Core feels like a chore with all those overpowered "you have to exactly have this build" bosses.
You can beat all the bosses with a melee build, you're just somehow even worse at games than a soulsfag.
And I could end this conversation by finding where you live, waiting until you have a friend or a family member over, following them, and stabbing them as a means of hurting you for being such an egotistic prick over videogames.
What's your point? Just because someone can do something, doesn't mean it should be done, or it's something to be proud of.
How would you do that? You can't, you're powerless, and I live in the part of America where everyone has a gun, so you'd probably just get deleted.
>and I live in the part of America where everyone has a gun
Yeah, we all do, it's called America.
Pull up.
>I play games to relax
Why the fuck are you playing a series known for intense, fast-paced and brutal combat then?
>games like Zelda BotW or Horizon Dawn that let me explore the world, games like The Last of Us let me delve in the immersive story
Armored Core was never known for brutal combat.
armored core has always been more involved than roll to iframe though, nothing about soulsborne combat is fast paced and brutal
>armored core has always been more involved than roll to iframe though
I mean loosely, yes, but, 'more' involved is kind of overselling it. OooooOOoo, dodge left and then right immediately to avoid being hit, so much more involved than dodge towards the attack to avoid being hit.
Come on bruv, let's be honest here.
thanks for agreeing with me then, that's already three times more than you ever need to do in dark souls AND at a higher rate too
But are you genuinely okay with calling that brutal? An extra dodge?
it's certainly far more violent and agressive
No it wasn't, armored core was always spectacle first everything else second. It was always about big arms forts set pieces and missions where you overwhelmingly dunk on everything in sight, it has more in common with ace combat than anything else. VI is a huge departure from that.
yes that's objectively more involved than pressing r1 to iframe
>Cherrypicking one word because that's literally the only response you have.
C'mon, seriously? You're not even moving the goalposts at this point, you're moving the entire fucking stadium.
I can't believe I have to share board with retards of this caliber
Anon do you have trouble detecting sarcasm?
let ME enjoy things homo
>let ME enjoy things
>Crying about a random gun damage in a videogame on an anonymous board in the middle of sunday night/monday morning.
You're incapable of joy, surely you've realized that by now.
>nu-uh you can't enjoy things anyway because uuuuh
>you post on Ganker like me!
moron fuck you let me enjoy things, i beat this game fair and square and it was a lot of fun, making the bosses easier makes the game worse
Honest question, do you want me to tell you why you're wrong, without meeming, trolling, insulting, any of that backhanded or indermining shit?
all these bosses were learnable, beatable and even cheezable with the right setup, but go ahead
>all these bosses were learnable, beatable and even cheezable with the right setup,
I don't deny it.
>but go ahead
>Objective based on what?
objective based on objective metric like attack rate and movement speed and health obviously
>Difficulty and fun are both subjective.
ok so then why argue at all right, I want the game to be more difficult because I think that's more fun, simple as that
Yeah I addressed all that in the parts you skipped.
>when you criticize difficulty as a whole as a self-appointed representative for 'fun' it comes out as completely disingenuous and hypocritical.
ok point out where i did this
>ok point out where i did this
>making the bosses easier makes the game worse
Why does it matter? You're refusing to do it anyway, you still get to make it harder, you choose not to because you can't handle it. You're like a child with a whole cookie, crying that you don't have two cookies when you haven't even taken the bite out of the one you have.
>making the bosses easier makes the game worse
that's a fire cry from making a claim about difficulty being the end and be all of fun, though in this game the difficulty as it was, was perfect for me, it just didn't need to be easier
>You're refusing to do it anyway, you still get to make it harder, you choose not to because you can't handle it.
you're assuming an awful lot about me to suit your own arguments anon what the fuck is your problem i beat balteus the first time around using what was arguably a terrible build and it was a lot of fun, i can't do that again in the same way now
>fire
far
>ok so then why argue at all right, I want the game to be more difficult because I think that's more fun, simple as that
Then put on worse parts. There you go, instant difficulty increase.
but that lower bound of what are worse parts has now been reduced anon, how difficult you can make the game has been limited
>It's not to your liking and it's not fun
Now that's been taken away because a horde of people like this
are deliberately playing a game they don't enjoy and complaining it isn't like everything else they've ever played.
It's disappointing.
I just finished replying to anon's response directly, see
>why aren't you fighting every boss with the worst parts and the worst weapons in the game?
By the sounds of it, I was unintentionally. I did find that fun.
>Why does it have to be this nebulous all-encompassing argument for the sake of everyone, when it's clearly disingenuous because you have ways to make it harder for yourself without affecting others but you choose to criticize the nerf because you don't want it.
(Of course, if you have a somewhat more child-like brain and fine glee/amusement in repeating the same burst of 1 minute gameplay over and over such that grinding bosses is constantly fun and exhilarating then that's another matter.)
it isn't about pain it's about growth in player skill and the skill ceiling, games with a higher skill ceiling allow for higher player skill and developing skill is what is fun, observing the contrast between your old self and your new self is satisfying, so is trying out weird unconventional builds to test yourself
>(Of course, if you have a somewhat more child-like brain and fine glee/amusement in repeating the same burst of 1 minute gameplay over and over such that grinding bosses is constantly fun and exhilarating then that's another matter.)
pure snide pedantry that just makes it sound like you really don't enjoy video game that require you to do anything beyond the most basic of inputs in order to get through them, perhaps horizon zero dawn is more your speed
Fuck you and the people pretending to take your bait. gays.
Is it possible to mod the game to make enemies harder?
yes, souls engine modding tools are very robust
So they just buffed rifles and machine guns and didn't nerf anything right?
>didn't nerf anything right?
Bosses apparently.
They fixed vertical missiles dealing more damage than intended which could be seen as a nerf
What changes did they actually make?
If they changed Balteus so it's actually possible to consistently dodge his missile attacks without taking damage, that's a positive change.
This meme that an action game should force you to take small amounts of damage is retarded.
>Waaa is my AP at 99/100?
>Oh no that's slightly sub-optimal aaaaa youtubers help me!
From what I've heard, balteus' missiles don't track nearly as hard, and IBIS lost nearly 9000 health, on top of eating a q5-25% damage nerf.
I don't get how people ever had an issue with the missiles. One of the first primers ALLMIND gives the player for parts is a tutorial explaining that boosting into damage weakens said damage and Balteus missile spam never hit its marks anyway if you just boosted straight at him.
Balteus has less tracking allegedly, Sea Spider takes more damage from the weapon types, and Ibis hits a bit less harder.
fuck i didnt get to ibis, just beat sea shitter today so i got 2/3
THAT'S IT?????
WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY ZIMMERMAN/NEEDLE/SONGBIRD NERFS????
Nothing for laser rifles? No changes to Stagger mechanic?
without mentioning zimzams, why do you want songbird nerfed?
songbirds just kill medium MTs in one shot, almost fully stagger an AC and have decent ammo. Besides stun needles they are always the best option for casual play
wait til you try the charged laser lance if you think songbirds are overly efficient
nerfs are gay. buff everything so nothings weak.
But they didn't buff the wazer wifles
If nothing is weak then nothing is strong
You can definitely have everything be strong. Have you ever played warframe? Somehow everything dying in 0.1s with almost every weapon still makes the studio mint
>WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY ZIMMERMAN/NEEDLE/SONGBIRD NERFS????
Buffs are better, this is a way better result, let them just buff up the weapons that are lacking until they're as good as the Zimmermans/Gats.
>PvP oriented balance adjustments will be released at a future date.
I agree with you but I wonder how long will things stay as they are currently
>let them just buff up the weapons that are lacking until they're as good as the Zimmermans/Gats.
That sounds better on paper, but in reality zimmermans are too good for the mechanics of the game, namely stagger. In PvP they invalidate any strategy other than long range missile spam. They could alternatively keep PvE and PvP balance different, but that sounds annoying to keep track of.
>They could alternatively keep PvE and PvP balance different
they did this sparingly with some things in dark souls, but really went whole-hog with it in elden ring
>but that sounds annoying to keep track of
it is very annoying to have to remember stuff like how the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman (elden ring item) reduces physical damage by 20% in pve but only 5% in pvp
>They could alternatively keep PvE and PvP balance different
They have done this in past AC's. Literally Regulations. Which are a good idea. Fuck changing shit for whining PVP fucks, no one cares about them and they should be held down and Miyazaki should personally shit and cum in their eyes.
>balance changes in a single player game
I hate Fromslop so much, it's unreal
dance for us chud
God yes, Ransetsu-RF buffed. I love that fucking thing so much.
Why would they nerf them? Everything else is underperforming, they're not overperforming.
How many times do you retarded motherfuckers need to be told Armored Core isn't Dark Souls?
This is not a franchise for you to jack off to your 'build'. Armored core has always been about finding the path of least resistance, the issue wasn't that these weapons were overperforming, the issue was that they were the only ones performing up to spec so the 'path of least resistance' was just sticking to them.
>they're not overperforming
moron you can kill every boss in 25 seconds skipping 80% of their dialogue
Thats Armored Core.
First of all, no, no you can't, stop exagerating.
Secondly you're supposed to.
Welcome to armored core, it's been like this for 23 years and 16 games. Withe the path of least resistance, no encounter ever, in the history of the franchise, took longer than a minute.
>First of all, no, no you can't, stop exagerating.
imagine being this bad
Secondly you're supposed to.
Welcome to armored core, it's been like this for 23 years and 16 games. Withe the path of least resistance, no encounter ever, in the history of the franchise, took longer than a minute.
Since your retarded phoneposting ass missed the point.
learn to meme arrow
Okay, post a video of beating Ibis with Zimmerman and songibrd in 25 seconds or less.
It's okay, I'll wait.
Not him but I beat Ibis first phase without taking any damage. I also beat the boss on my second try. No shotguns, stun needles or songbirds.
>Not him but I beat Ibis first phase without taking any damage
Good for you but nobody asked.
Just wanted to let you know you're bad.
Still waiting, weasel.
>First of all, no, no you can't
he is not exaggerating
zimmerman+stun needles with assault armor and bipeds with good kick damage spammed between shotgun reloads, try it yourself
Still waiting.
you can literally try it yourself if you don't believe in it
>haha gotcha the invulnerable transition animation between phases is 30 seconds lol 🙂
yeah whatever
Anon most of the bosses with the exception of Ibis (dur to moving fast, but even then it can be caught) and Ayre can be killed extremely fast
I never said they can't. Come the fuck on, literally the same post you responded to.
>With the path of least resistance, no encounter ever, in the history of the franchise, took longer than a minute.
I'm just calling out the retard for exagerating that you can kill every boss in 25 seconds, as if somehow being able to take them down in sub-minute is not already ridiculously fast so we gotta pretend that bosses can go down faster than their fucking death animation. I'm not disagreeing that shit is fast because ITS FUCKING SUPPOSED TO BE. I'm specifically calling him out for exaggerating in a response that's supposed to be contradicting me when it literally just verifies what I'm talking about in the first place.
>you can literally try it yourself if you don't believe in it
Read above, still waiting though.
most bosses have ~20k to 28k health, and even less after this patch
stun needles+zimmers do roughly 11k damage during stagger, more if the enemy has a particularly long recovery animation like balteus and the spider
you have chosen a very strange thing to be stubborn about
I can't tell if you're an ESL or just retarded, but seriously dude you need to calm down.
NTA, but you seem to be the one thats mad as fuck. Also incapable of doing math.
>First of all, no, no you can't, stop exagerating.
That doesn't look very fun, anon.
Aren't you morons always keep saying that Walter is just a "regular AC" fight and one of the easiest bosses in the game?
>posts webm that has nothing to do with the weapons in question
>Just an AC fight and not a boss fight.
>None of the weapons in question.
>Literally proving my point along the way.
Soulsfags, everyone.
>Just an AC fight and not a boss fight.
What part of
>you can kill every boss in 25 seconds skipping 80% of their dialogue
>skipping 80% of their dialogue
>of their dialogue
>their dialogue
>dialogue
Did you not understand? Balteus, Worm, Sea Spider and the rest do not have dialogue.
You can do this with just a pilebunker
who cares if you can kill a boss before dialog is finished
These buffs seem rather random
How so?
>rifles and smgs only
How is is random?
At THIS point of the game?
>doesn't dode missiles
>gets staggered
Unless you're running 320+ boost speed
Complaining the game is flawed because you insist on using something you like is retarded.
>buffed guns
holy based
The whole sea spider level is so fucking stupid, that thing has so much hp i always ran out of ammo before i could kill it
You double triggered Machine Guns and fired across the stage for constant ricochets. Well rejoice, idiot, your machine guns have more ammo to piss away on ricochets now.
>only buffed weak items
Why cant this happen to Diablo 4
Because Diablo 4 is some "live service" Blizzard shit made by corporate lapdogs who wouldn't know how to make a game if it fucked them in the ass and came on their face. They are beholden to shareholders who only know "number must go up" retardation and demand "good numbers" on meaningless shit like play time.
Don't buy shit from those fucks. They've always been shit. Always. WoW was always shit, SC and WC were always shit, Diablo was always shit. Computer only gamers had nothing so they propped up this garbage in place of having actual games.
>Balteus getting nerfed
You can literally just use Oroboro's build here and melt him in 30 seconds or less.
If you copy someone else's AC you didn't beat the game
That's the thing normalfags are so opposed to changing anything about their playstyle that they would rather bang their heads against a brick wall for hours and then leave a bad review about the game being difficult and unbalanced.
The game is built around adapting your playstyle to different situations, devs have said this numerous times but normal shits don't get it.
Why even have customization if you only have one valid build? The game could just auto equip you with it.
trial and error process of finding the right weapons for the job
you're supposed to notice that your weapons are not doing too much good against the current boss, so you switch it up until you figure out which one is the best
Until you realize you didn't buy the right one and have to go back and restart the entire thing because the only right weapon isn't in the list. Also trial and error sounds like picrel, not very interesting imo
Well, you're entitled to be wrong.
It's not that rare for people to find unnecessary busywork unenticing. Also advertizing variety when it's really not is just not cool
I need an edit of that one dark souls comic, the 'a tale of two adventurers' one.
>Raven #1
>Hrm, it appears this unmanned AC is capable of rapid, high-speed dodged that are rendering my current weapons ineffective, and it has fast horizontal melee strikes that are difficult to avoid using quick boost.
>Raven #2
>YOLO
>TRIAL AND ERROR ONLY ONE BUILD JUST USE ZIMMERMANS AND SONGBIRDS
Stagger fucks that up though, because Stagger is always the answer.
Christ, do you mald about this in literally every thread?
i think it's a topic deserving of vitriol even if the complaints amount to nothing in the end
It's good to see someone holding up the tradition
I mean I respect the direction you're going in.
Wouldn't waste my time on hate though. I just think it's a shame people won't be having as satisfying an experience with the game as I did.
Those that complained were always going to either refund or find an exploit anyway, so they're not worth the time to convince otherwise. But there are people out there who might have enjoyed that and have had the option taken away from them.
It's just that I find it infuriating how they cry their way out of difficulty by demanding nerfs and shit so the rest of the playerbase has to suffer from their retardation in consequence.
Casuals ruin everything.
I feel the same way, anon.
Especially as it's one of the few games in the last ten years that has been tough enough to make me sit up and pay attention.
If anything they should make the rest of the game equally difficult. The sudden change in difficulty is what makes people mad, not so if the rest of the campaign was equally as punishing. But no, it's a cakewalk. You press W and mouse buttons.
I didn't either and I S ranked the whole thing
doesn't change the fact that pulse shields are extremely strong vs lasers, that skeleton wheels are immune to anything non-explosive, that C-spider takes no damage from the flamethrower and so on
>complaining about how hard the game is
reading comprehension moron
You can't buy new weapons in middle of missions. You had to buy them before hand or suffer
Yes, good reading comprehension.
>game punishes for Y
<just don't do Y
>it doesen't tell you about itw
<yeah bur I didn't do it so it's fine
>Game all about customizing your robot
>Huh should I sit on this pile of money or explore the gamut of options at my disposal so I'm prepared for later?
We get it, you have shit sense for video games.
>customize
>but only this certain way otherwise it's shit
Not the game for me
>There is no "valid build" in this game despite what meta slaves will tell you.
>I have never used Zimmers or Songbirds, nor felt the need to.
You. You I like.
I fucking hate this. Why the fuck would they do this?
I'd love this if I didn't already refund it
Everything must be ruined so the lowest common denominator doesn't have to learn.
>updates on steam are mandatory and you have to crack the game to not update
Why is Steam like this? I paid for the game. Let me play the game I bought without it being transformed into something I didn't buy.
T2 forced them to, you will notice that forced autoupdates with no option to decline or prevent them began coinciding with Rockstar of David having to update all digital copies of the game to remove licensed music that expired. Most of the storefronts started doing this around the same time too
Can't you revert patches?
You should be able to downpatch the game
Thank God I already got true ending before that. Game is absolutely ruined. Why the fuck do they need bosses?
You can always play 1.0 if you care about Ganker street cred. The patches only allow more people to play it
Nice personal attack gay, I don't care about any kind of e penis contest on the internet. I'd just fucking like my games to retain at least a modicum of challenge and for devs to stop listening to fucking baby retards who want a "I win button".
>Waaah waaah
Play 1.0 if you will gay retard, no one cares.
I’m a little disappointed in the playerbase for making the devs feel like they needed to nerf those bosses, but at least they didn’t nerf any weapons. I’m very happy to see that.
People were complaining about the levels being easy while the bosses were hard. Should've just made the levels harder lmao.
>mfw just managed to beat balteus before the update
Feels good, especially with that rocket plus pistol combo.
Did you beat sea spider and ibis too? If not, you didn't beat the game.
Anon can still beat the game on your terms by rolling back to the older version of the game assuming he’s on PC.
>tfw beat Ibis just before downloading this patch
I WILL beat the game.
Will beating the game on some anons terms chamge something in your life? Are you going to be complete once you defeat that boss that isn't doing -15% damage?
You actually have to fight Ibis again on ng+, so as I'm sorry to inform you, you in fact did not beat the game.
>beat balteus and spider only before the nerf
I'm not updating before I complete the game, this would hurt my gamer cred
Careful you don't break your arm jerking off. Like it's been said a million times, you can always play 1.0 if it's such an issue
>Like it's been said a million times, you can always play 1.0 if it's such an issue
By pirating the game I have bought officially?
I just might, but that's still ridiculous.
Is there a problem with that? You have a license already. Not that 99% of Ganker would care
I agree version management should be available on popular gaming platforms like it's for every other software, it's definitely a usability problem
If you bought it on Steam you can forcibly roll the game back and set it to stop updating automatically.
>and set it to stop updating automatically
How? Pretty sure Steam removed that option years ago.
The best option you've got now is to not automatically update -unless- you attempt to start the game. At which point it'll force the update anyway. But I guess I could like, disconnect from the internet every time or something.
I can’t remember how I did it, but I found a guide that showed me how to do so when that shitty Skullgirls update dropped.
>And the bosses I never even got to fight yet getting nerfed hurts extra bad.
The third one mentioned in the patch notes I felt was a bit tiresome anyway. Not hard, didn't require me to tweak my setup much, but I just didn't quite like the boss.
So basically if you didn't pirate, you didn't beat the game
Why do devs listen to these gay casuals?
Most of the playerbase is filthy casuals, and the cattle pays for your business. You can only bend or break
>Balteus
Just use assault boost and some explosives, use melee if you can't dodge well
>Sun Spider
Just heavy weapons, it's a huge target and only really has one difficult to dodge attack
>Cel240
More intimidating than hard, if you're having trouble just use the laser lance and the needle launchers, ez
>only really has one difficult to dodge attack
Anon, it literally says there they changed the attacks
I don't know if there's a way that people can rip open the files to see the exact changes unlike weapon stats, but there's a high chance you're agreeing with the change here.
Nah Sun Spider is easy as fuck, it needs that attack to be dangerous to most people.
Was never a problem for me, and general consensus seems to be that most of the weapons I enjoyed using were underpowered.
Because side from a few chips here and there from its basic weapons, I really didn't have a hard time dodging anything and I was still using wire a few starting parts.
these bosses were bugged as fuck, OP
they simply fixed their broken behavior, they didn't nerf their stats or anything
They reduced Ibis's HP by 30%
No way.
That seems a little excessive to me, but oh well.
You could already blast half of its HP with pile bunker before. So it's now just a normal AC, huh?
where the fuck are you morons seeing the exact patch note changes?
Yes they did. Balteus' attacks no longer home in as effectively, Sea Spider's damage multipliers were raised (mainly for energy and explosives) to make it less tanky, and Ibis does around 15-25% less damage depending on the attack while allegedly losing a smidge of overall HP. Functionally speaking, it seems they were tuned to be less excessively durable and/or damaging.
>been already getting S ranks and pvp wins with dual rifles.
>they are getting buffed
lmao okay thanks for bitching shitters
Which rifles? I can never tell what someone means by "rifles" when half the kinetic weapons are some sort of rifle.
And if you hit both charged shots that will stagger real good.
instead of properly nerfing the most retarded weapons in the game, they're using those most complained about as benchmarks for comparison to everything else
the stagger mechanic breaks AC6 at its very core, making balancing the game impossible.
Wonder if that will affect enemy ACs that use those now buffed rifles and cause another buttsuffering
Glad I beat this shit several times before the boss nerfs. I shall be better than those who come after me.
And how does that betterness manifest, exactly? It's a singleplayer bossfight in a game meant for enjoyment
I'll just know.
>beat balteus
>left off on ice worm
I-I didn’t beat the game…
>Ibis
I havent faced him yet.
I can never beat the game now...
You will never beat the game.
Might as well watch a fucking let's play at that point LMAO.
I wish they didn't nerf balteus, but overall the changes seem pretty good. IBIS is a cheating asshole anyway, no regrets.
you hate to see it but from heavily nerfs a lot of their games. never forget prenerf shrine of amana, the true hell that no souls game has ever topped since. easily the hardest content they've ever released.
I certainly don't mind nerfing the shrine at all even though I did get through it just fine. They could delete the whole area and I wouldn't miss it.
The problem is a lot of people think every game is for them and they don't want to adapt.
a lot of zoomers are too use to games were devs release shit way to powerful then nerfed them into the ground. they are angry that from is instead buffing everything that was weak to be more comparable to the stronger options to entice more people to try out other builds.
>le zoomer
you worthless retard if everything was buffed to zimmerman levels the bosses would get deleted in 20 seconds
Elden Ring nerfed bleed without making it useless or weak, and the same should have happened in AC6
?si=2xKBV7AsQ_mbAcfx
>no buffs for the Karasawa, the most iconic energy weapon in the series
Why is From allowing their series staple to be such garbage? It's quite possibly the worst weapon in the entire game.
Karasawa is a meme, moonlight is and was always the main weapon of all fromsoft games
>meme
>best weapon in just about every AC for the right hand, while Moonlight is usually solid, if not best, for the left
You never played an AC before.
Your reading comprehension is absolute shit, read the patch notes again.
Hint: it's at the start, just before the actual patch notes.
Motherfucker the complaint is about the Karasawa not receiving any attention. Read retard, read. I don't care if it's a "muh early game patch", they shouldn't just do only the early game stuff. Arguably it's more important to address mid to late game balance, not fucking first playthrough shit.
>bosses nerfed
>my weapons buffed
It's almost like my previous struggles and achievements didn't even happen.
Did they fix the need for cpu0 thing or they are too retarded to understand how to?
This really pisses me off. I worked my ass off to be balteus. I’m not a hardcore souls player but I tried over 1 month using tips and builds from community. It was one of the most thrilling gaming moments of my life when I finally beat him.
Now any noob can beat him. Makes me want to quit the game. It’s not fair at all.
>I worked my ass off to be balteus
how? i realized that the sword chunked its shield after the 2nd try
Now do it with pre nerf CURTIS.
What he struggled with is now viewed as a piece of cake.
>minimizing the achievement
anon its a fucking Armored core game. he only struggled because his build was shit and he was too retarded to learn. that is not an achievement, that is retardation that goes against the philosophy of the game pre-nerf
the philosophy of the game is more about making a build you like and beating ass with it otherwise youll just use dual gattling guns the entire game
When a game boss gets made easier they lose their one bragging right and are left to ponder again and replay their high school year moments fantasising different choices they wish they’d made
The game's been out for like a little over two weeks, not a month. And he's not that hard unless you really refuse to drop all-kinetics.
>This really pisses me off. I worked my ass off to be balteus
Now you understand why people hate casuals.
I hear you anon, but you either don’t have a great grasp on the flow of time or spent some time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber trying to beat Balteus because this game came out less than three weeks ago
get fucked gay
Could anyone on the new update please screenshot the stat pages of the updated weapons and share them in the thread?
I am not updating. But I am curious.

>(Charged Attack Power unchanged)
So it's practically unchanged then. Lol.
Some of them have less recoil too
It's kind of annoying that the stats don't show projectile speed
>no changes to impact
Well, this is fucking stupid. Rifles and machine guns should have enough impact to make them worth using over the Zimmer. Everything besides the Zimmer locks you in place or forces you to charge/reload more often for the same level of performance. That's why it's such a huge problem.
A few guns actually got their impact nerfed to accommodate the damage buffs
No they haven't.
They have. It was done so that overall stagger buildup is the same when taking the projectile speed buffs into account.
No, they haven't retard. I literally screenshotted every single rifle and SMG before the patch to see what was changed and impact damage was untouched.
Go be retarded somewhere else
Do post the weapon that was "nerfed" you dumb piece of shit.
Hey, dipshit.
Still waiting.
Hey retard, are you going to own up to your bullshit or what? Thread is almost ending.
The impact is fine. They require you to get stuck into your enemy.
Please tell me I have the choice to not update this on my Xbox
I don’t care for online I just want to beat the game as is
sorry anon. you will forever never be able to complete Armored Core 6. that is your fate
Alright, listen up, retards.
If they want an easy game, let it be easy and chill the whole time.
anon the guns that have the most DPS are some of the worst when it comes to bosses.
This. Nothing wrong with a game being easier. It doesn’t impede its quality in any way.
>and were fine grinding your face against an artificially difficult wall for hours
Piss off you whiny snowflake.
>Aurora missiles still worse than dogshit
For fuck's sake, From, I can't kill with style alone.
>Ayre begins to like the name "Raven" as a symbol of freedom now championed by 621
>the previous Raven is accused as the one who brought back conflict to Rubicon
What did she mean by this?
PCA were doing shaddy shit with RRI tech and coral, and raven brought the corporations in who inevitably fought with the PCA
so are the burst assault rifles actually worth using now or what
>Nerfing Sea Spider
WHO THE FUCK HAD TROUBLE WITH FUCKING SEA SPIDER? It can't dodge shit and it telegraphs its attacks hard, it's by far the easiest boss outside some basic ACs.
you have no idea how many people don't understand how powerful stagger is and are trying to beat bosses with low stagger weapons
Nobody sane wants to engage with shitty from designated dps time mechanic.
I didn't think about stagger at the time. It's constantly vulnerable, you'll naturally keep attacking it.
>Missiles
>Dodging.
I did, until I started paying attention to its laser cannon.
Asmongold :^)
>used dual zimzams/dual gatlings and songbirbs for NG+ and NG++
>switched to dual stun needles and dual HARRIS rifles for the fast as fuck enemies
>breezed through the game
>also used Rock Sling only during my Elden Ring playthrough
Am I based or cringe?
>there are "people" in this thread that don't know Ibis can be one shot with the chainsaw
She didn't need a nerf. I would've been happy with a buff, actually.
There are people in this thread that don't understand Armored Core was never about beating your head against a wall and you're literally retarded if you're trying to play it as a build-based RPG.
Armored core, is, was, and always will be a rock-paper-scisors game. You're meant to take what's strongest against any given enemy and shred through them in seconds, not take ineffective shit and struggle against them for an hour because "muh setup"
>NTA
Good for you.
>Armored core, is, was, and always will be a rock-paper-scisors game.
what?
ac5 is literally the only game in the series that's previously had this type of iteration with the three-way armor split, first-through-fourth gen you could just use whatever the fuck you wanted
>ac5 is literally the only game in the series that's previously had this type of iteration with the three-way armor split
Emulating one PS2 game doesn't mean you know shit, chief. Might wanna re-google your argument before trying it again, looking forward to your backpedaling.
you have not provided a rebuttal and i am not convinced you have one
armored core before 5th gen has never been a rock-paper-scissors game, unless you can prove otherwise as previously invited
>you have not provided a rebuttal
Okay moron, you want a rebuttal?
In 1-3 it was kinetic, laser, and melee, each boss had a weakness.
In 4-6 it was kinetic, energy, plasma, except for 4, where it was kinetic, energy, kojima.
It was always RPS, you were just too retarded to realise it, so now you're stuck larping an oldfag with your googled screenshots and zero fucking understanding of the series you retarded fucking gay.
Now fuck off and cope how you "won" your internet argument where everyone but you has realized you're a fucking moron. Inbred waste of resources sack of shit.
>larping an oldfag with your googled screenshots
you act like everyone hasn't been emulating the franchise for the last 8 years kek
>In 1-3 it was kinetic, laser, and melee, each boss had a weakness.
>In 4-6 it was kinetic, energy, plasma, except for 4, where it was kinetic, energy, kojima.
this has never once been relevant in my dozens of replays of the series, but
>you were just too retarded to realise it
maybe you're on to something
My guy, you're trying too hard. I gave you the facts, you are blatantly wrong, and now you're shifting the goalpost there's no need for you to keep going with this. You're wrong, you were proven wrong, just accept it and move on I don't care about your googled screenshots or your larps, it's not a point of the subject, just stop. You're annoying.
>armored core before 5th gen has never been a rock-paper-scissors game
I'm at least glad they realized that was a mistake in V and ditched it.
Stagger is irritating, but nowhere near as obnoxious as that was.
These people you are talking about. What is their skin color?
based, Fromdrones BTFO
now they can stop pretending the game is not garbage now that the bosses are no longer Le Hard
>slight buff on weapons no one uses = you didn't beat the game
I hope you anon are only playing along and memeing and don't actually think this is gonna change anything.
>slight buff
At least in terms of DPS it seems that the buffed weapons got improved by 25-35%. Would've preferred an increase in ideal/effective range though in addition to the projectile speed buff.
>trying other builds against Raven
>A rank
noooo I don't want to go back to zimzams
Quadruple laser shotguns on Spring hickens.
I was listening to Rusty's Japanese voice and just hit me who it was.
It's fucking Funny Valentine from Jojo ASB
Bros... Steam won't let me download the patch...
Says the thing is 10 gigs, but I have 23 available!
i beat the helicopter on my third try, now i'm stuck on the gay with the whip with the two invisible snipers up in the rafters.
What? How is that hard? Snipers are easy as fuck to dodge since they telegraph their lasers. For the guy with the whip, shotgun and melee.
Are you going after the snipers first and using your scanner?
i tried that on my last attempt and it didn't work out too well but i'm guessing that's the better way to do it, the asshole's whip just keeps getting me. i'll try that approach again when I return
Bring a grenade cannon and fire without lockon at the snipers. They get one-shot.
What adjustments?
Seems to be a damage nerf across the board from early reports
Can you revert patches? Honestly just need to s rank Ibis and then I'll switch to the new patch. Buffing rifles is pretty nice of From
They didn't get buffed in a way that really matters though. Zimm still does more DMG and STG and has the same effective range too.
They can be used on their own now, yes, but that's little reason to pick them over other options.
But they're not unusable which is nice.
Also glad c spider got nerfed. Fuck that shit. Balteus and Ibis didn't deserve it tho.
C Spider is easy. The only tough thing about it is its high kinetic defense, so you need to bring weapons with a kick to them.
Beating the C-Spider with nothing but the Curtis was interesting.
I know. I just think its a shit boss and I'm glad it got nerfed. Fuck that guy. gay ass shit with her hyper armor legs.
Also surprised Ayre was spared. People bitched a lot about her too. From seems to have nerfed based on bitching not genuine difficulty.
>zimmie not nerfed
>songbird not nerfed
BASED FROMSOFT
Songbirds by themselves are not OP.
It is zimzams stagger into Songbirds which do insane damage.
They're getting nerfed, this wasn't a PVP patch and one is coming soon.
If they will introduce a pvp patch it will likely only affect the pvp component which means zimmies will always BTFO pve
Maybe it was buffed?
>SMGs and rifles buffed
Cang-Chens were already on par with zimmers, assuming you hit all the shots, now they are going to be even better.
Annoying, but at least I can say I beat them before they got nerfed
I can just play in offline mode to keep the previous patch right? I've been taking my time and S Ranking missions as I go through instead of going through the main story asap.
>I don't want the patch that doesn't nerf anything because I'm trying to S rank
You're a retard.
>that doesn't nerf anything
But the bosses got nerfed. And some weapons got buffed.
>But the bosses got nerfed.
They literally didn't but we already established you're a retard so how would you know, right?
>And some weapons got buffed.
Oh shit, a couple guns went from being unusuable to being barely usable, STOP THE FUCKIGN PATCH!
>They literally didn't
Are you just in denial now or what?
You wanna read the patch notes again, chief?
>Adjusted certain attacks performed by the enemy units AAP07: BALTEUS, IA-13: SEA SPIDER and IB-01: CEL240.
Wanna strain your tiny moron brain and find the nerf? Or are you one of those monkeys that think Adjusted is a synonym for nerf'd?
No let me guess, you're now gonna go on a multi-post psychosis about how I'm a tourist or a newfag or some shit and explain to me how adjusted exactly means nerf'd because you said so. Okay, got it, you can skip your melty now.
>Or are you one of those monkeys that think Adjusted is a synonym for nerf'd?
No. Adjusted is not synonymous with nerfed. But are you really so daft that you think an adjustment can't be a nerf?
Ibis literally got hit with a 30% AP reduction you double moron.
LITERALLY fake news
>Minor patch notes.
>Soulsfags whining this much.
Do me a favor.
NEVER play Armored Core 4, 4A, V, or VD. If these patch notes are making you have an existential meltdown, you're gonna have a genuine honest to God life-ending stroke when you find out about regulations.
You can change regulations easily in 4th gen though.
This one seems more like a regular patch akin to soulsborne ones
I don't want to nerf the bosses since I like how they felt the first time through. It's just a personal preference, why are you so ass pained though?
>I don't want to nerf the bosses since I like how they felt the first time through.
They didn't get nerf'd, their attack pattern got adjusted, it's not a nerf.
>It's just a personal preference,
It's really not. Think about it. The boss pattern changed a bit, you're not proving anything to anyone, you're just clinging to some vague desperate hope you can pretend you got shit done under some kind of self-impossed difficulty challenge that only exists in your mind. You're being retarded, anon. Genuinely. You wanna stay retarded, by all means, stay retarded, but what you're doing isn't normal, and I'm not obligated not to call you out on it. You're being a pretentious elitist over shit that's not warranting either and it's making you look like a retard. Take that how you will, the problem is on your side, so me criticizing you or not, it's still a problem on your side.
>why are you so ass pained though?
Do you always read random text as some kind of anguish? Because that's a sign of personal psychological issues. Or is it that you just think people calling you a retard when you're being retarded are asspained, which damn son, you must think everyone is ass pained.
You taking the time to write out all of this mental diarrhea with the tone of someone who thinks the game prolapsed your anus speaks volumes about your intelligence and social eq.
>Didn't touch any upgrades other than the unlocks because I didn't want to make the game too easy.
>From patches the game to make it too easy anyway.
Why can't we have nice things?
>nerfed
What if they were buffed?
those guns were pretty dogshit but what about the dogshit lasers and plasma?
Lasers and plasma are fucking great, you're not using them correctly.
Lasers and plsma are good, especially when you poise break a boss and with a generator that has good energy weapon scaling.
if you didn't beat the game pre patch you didn't beat the game
Can't you just select the pre patch version of the game?
What is the optimal boost speed and which type of legs do you prefer?
408 🙂
$10 says that if you use the wheelchair you'll somehow be even faster
I'll try it out. Would be really stupid though if it wasn't reflected in the numbers.
Wheelchair has a habit of underreporting its actual speed values. 350~ on the stat screen is something like 370~ in-game.
Ask me how I know you're a soulsfag that never played an AC game before.
>and fix the dogshit stagger system
At the very least, they should make it so that you can escape a stagger more quickly so that specific boss attacks (like CEL240's second phase "flaming bird tackles") don't combo you to death.
It's also so frustrating to get hit by the first hit of a boss's melee combo and get staggered, then because you're locked into a stagger animation, their second hit also hits you.
Just give us a fucking OS Tuning upgrade that can half stagger time (and make it only work for PvE if they're afraid of having it bust PvP).
>(and make it only work for PvE if they're afraid of having it bust PvP
what?!?!?
make balance in pvp not interfere with pve???
unheard of!!!!!
The projectile tracking has been nerfed to shit, lol. Especially on Balteus.
>decided to give S ranking the game a try
>load up mission 1 for the first time in about 30 hours
>beat the first part hitless and stomp filtercopter
>maybe lost 800 AP total
I got good
Rifle buff
You didn't s rank it
I'm kidding anon. Congrats
highlight, ctrl+s
>implying that people can do that on their phones
Nignog
>Giving a shit about phone tourists.
I'm on my phone in bed and I'm not getting up to shitpost.
They're pretty lenient with damage taken in comparison to time. I remember eating shit and taking 3 repair kits against Ibis and still got an S.
Maybe it's all the wheels I killed for those fucking logs too
The update was fine imagine crying over the equivalent of Spilled milk
Is it just me, or has mele damage been nerfed?
did you change arm parts to something with bad melee scaling?
No. Same build as pre-patch. Maybe I just remember it being higher than it actually was.
Seems they buffed most automated ballistic rifles to keep up with Gatling guns but what about buffing shotguns so they can be even remotely as strong as zimzams? What about the various rocket launchers so Songbirds aren't a one trick?
Rocket and songbirds have different function
>always like a shoulder mounted grenade launcher
>Songbird has noticeably good damage, light weight, appears fairly early
>a lot of people shitting on it because it is somewhat meta
This game has a PS1 era vibe to it. It doesn't pretend to be anything but being a videogame. Bosses are hard, but manageable.
ARE ASSAULT RIFLES GOOD NOW
PLEASE TELL ME NOW SIRS
In terms of damage, probably better than gatling.
in terms of impact, not really. Curtis might be good for stagger now because of the fire rate increase though.
Gattling is still king for sustained DPS because rifles need to reload fairly often. As long as don’t let gattling overheat. If that happens you fucked up.
But rifles/machine guns are fully useable now. And function at ranges other than point blank. Gattling’s recoil is uncontrollable even with best arms. So like 30% of shots end up missing even at 75m.
The reload speeds were buffed
No
Are the AC boss battles legit? I was fucking around with Walter's Hal specs earlier and the energy management of the version in the data collection feels really ass compared to the zippy bullshit of his boss battle. Ayre has an excuse in that you can't see her specs but this feels off.
Ayre is NOT a black woman
Carla is. Her VA is black, therefore Carla is black coded.
Walter is altered somehow. It's pretty standard as far as like Armored Core is concerned though. In past games enemies would break EN and weight limits all the time.
Walter in the liberation ending is not a normal AC neither is Ayre. Ayre gets an actual buildable AC in the Allmind ending
>Walter in the liberation ending is not a normal AC
You literally get all his AC parts after beating him.
Are they really meant for ultra light builds only?
white ball
nine glint
blue guns
Good, they dragged down what could have been a fun game with those absurd sudden difficulty spikes
Maybe if you autists weren't so anti difficulty level you would be able to have a mode that kept them as they launched
>finally unlock Trueno
>It's shit
Great, I made a covenant/needless coloured mech for fucking nothing
Its damnbgood anon. Why are you having issues?
It feels extremely ass to use compare to just shouldering a Zimmerman, the easy dodging and being stuck in place. I only play pve though.
The truenos are great in pvp. They're tough to evade if you use them right.
>Trueno is shit
Should someone tell him?
>Double needle missile in the face has some of the largest damage values after stagger that are in the fucking game
>Some gay doesn't think its enough
They only under perform against some bosses in PvE. But in PvP they are goddamn lethal. What the fuck?
If I had realized that they were going to make the game easier then I wouldn't have played so much BG3 and Splatoon.
Fuck I even started grinding Godhome in Hollow Knight.
We don't even know what the nerfs were, if it's just -10% damage on a few attacks like the Sea Spider laser, it's not a big deal since that only really matters for light builds not getting wombo-combo'd one shot when getting stability broken.
why is this an issue? just lie that you already beat it before
good bait
They Radahn'd Balteus. That actually makes me really fucking sad, he was one of my favorite bosses. The tracking on his missiles is shit and the frequency of his bazookas is reduced. I'm so genuinely upset, fuck. It was such a cool experience to see people try to beat him and then beat him and that feeling of treasured rush is gone now.
Radahn's HP/damage nerfes were reversed.
Only slight adjustments to the length of his swords was kept because they were 25% longer than his swords were visually.
I really fucking hope they do the same here. Damn it, he was such a unique fight in video games, now he's so fucking standard.
How is he standard now when he's literaly the same as launch in terms of numbers?
The missile tracking was gutted?
That really is sad. Balteus was kind of a skill check on the many different ways you can (or can't) dodge missile fire.
Balteus is like where most newcomers realise that you depending on the missiles, boosting towards the enemy can actually a viable method to avoid fire in spite of how overbearing the missile rain might look.
But if you can avoid the missiles easily by just not standing still, then I doubt many players would even attempt something as unintuitive as boosting into the enemy.
Betray Carla
do it
>all cheevos earned after this update are now worthless
sucks to be you latefags
you will never beat the game :^)
Why would I care about that?
All I care about is it being satisfying to play.
You know there's no prize for being good at video games on mongolian basket weaving forums, right?
sounds like cope
iguazu type post
based
massive coping going on here
Perhaps I should clarify.
Nerfs make the game less satisfying to play.
I enjoyed the bosses pre-nerf and felt they were well balanced.
I'm just pointing out nobody gives a shit that you beat Ibis in 0.2 microseconds.
>reverts patch
Sorry ALLMIND. Also please tell that weirdo Kate to stop messaging me. She's creepy.
Post name of your mecha.
Filename
LOADER 4
I GOT YA 4 LOADS RIGHT'ERE
So did the PCA send the invisible fucks? It's weird how they were never brought up again after that mission.
I always thought it was Allmind. Similar to her shitting out the C Weapons in the strider quest if you decide to help the RLF instead of destroy it
NG++ kind of answers that. There's a Ghost MT in Grid 135 Cleanup too.
I tested the claims of Ibis having a 30% health reduction, seems to be BS. One charged pilebunker still takes off about half its AP like before.
>he doesn't know about the ASHMEAD nerf
>One charged pilebunker still takes off about half its AP like before.
huh how, basho + pile bunker only did like a third before
Did you max out the direct hit + melee OS upgrades?
Melee specialisation arms + OST upgrades for melee and direct hits = 60% HP bunker on Ibis, here's a prepatch webm:
i see i see
The patch only says they nerfed some attacks, test the moonlight beams, especially the X attack.
Yeah the X attack doesn't seem to hit nearly as hard. It took off about 4k AP on my AC where before I'm pretty sure it was closer to 6k.
>put off S-ranking because I wanted to take a break
>this happens
Fuck now I have to go do it before I install the update.
nice try, we know you are a bad player
No shit, otherwise I would've Sranked the game week 1, smartass.
The bosses are already braindead to S rank unless you're trying to challenge yourself by not using worm needles/songbirds.
Am I an asshole for equipping both moonlite blades in pvp and dash cancelling them for constant blade spam?
I pirated it so i can just choose to never download the casualised patch
Or opinion doesn't count anyway since you never experienced pvp
>Fromslop pvp
Made for shitters who are too bad for fighting games
>turn based rhythm games
Now your opinion matters even less
Do fighting games allow me 3v1 players whole running around a huge dungeon with a bunch of PvE mobs?
No? Then fuck off, fool.
>Retarded cold take
You're an inbred mongoloid
>Ganker hated Elden Ring because of Rivers of Blood/Comet Azur cheese (all perfectly nerfed in range and damage into a good spot)
>It's now defending AC6 for NOT nerfing the worse equivalent of Rivers of Blood
Armored Core is not Elden Ring or a soulsboren.
Holy shit, mind blown, right?
Ganker hated Elden Ring because they wanted QTEkiro combat system. Any excuse was only just that. AC6 is a low budget ps2 tier rushed hackjob, and fits Ganker contrarian taste so they'll defend it no matter what
here's your (You)
he's not wrong, at least regarding Elden Ring
I do think zimmers need a slight nerf. It's kind of ridiculous that they do more stagger damage than bazookas that weigh more and take longer to fire.
bazookas do far more accumulated impact damage
*completely unintelligible sawano starts playing*
I hate those skirt legs.
They look great with the Alba core and proper colours but with that core and colour scheme this guy looks like he's running the game for AGDQ.
They never look great because of that retarded piece of metal sticking out in front every time
Is Trueno a NG++ part or did I miss a crate somewhere in the game?
NG++
Requires you to beat the Orteus schematics in arena
You get by fighting ALLMIND's version of the Alba in NG+
based WHOA HO enjoyer
Isn't the show trash?
yeah it is
I liked the first half for being the anti-gundam show (all the enemies get "gundams" while the protagonist fights with a trash mech)
the soundtrack, along with other sawano hiroyuki soundtracks are my guilty pleasure though
Aldnoah zero was super fun to follow with /a/ and /m/, especially during the ending to s1 and s2
Bros, I just started the game. Why can't I equip any weapons?
Is it because my AC is too light? I thought only generators affected energy but is it how heavy it is too?
The shop shows if I buy the heavier chest my EN load will go up.
Your generator affects total weight you can carry and your EN load, but your core part can also push it further.
Legs need to support all the weight above them, meaning all other core/atms/head/gen parts plus weapons.
Your ground boost speed will suck, but your qbs will be more than usable.
holy shit they buffed the ransetsu's
>ibis literally is the most predictable boss, just keeps doing the same shit on repeat, will literally dash at you or dash to the side
>balteus is big meme, it has no attacks, just missle spam that is useless
>sea spider just has big hp bar, nothing else
did they really nerf this braindead game lol?
is big meme, it has no attacks, just missle spam that is useless
Did you actually play the game?
Baltus has a 4K damage cannon that he backpadals with and point blank shots you if you follow him when he runs away.
Also the phase 2 instant assault armor hit and flamethrower that can combo you from ~6K AP.
it has both a visual and a sound cue
you are mentally impaired
>instant assault armor
it takes several seconds and ayre is screaming at you to get clear
you are mentally impaired
>flamethrower
you are in a mech and can just hover over it you subhuman fuck
even if you are mentally impaired you can just jump over it
Ayre's voice line needs to happen like 4 seconds earlier.
She literally says "The waves are..." and the explosion happens before she finishes the sentence.
You can only use it as a tell for the attack if you already know it's gonna happen.
If you're in melee range, it's a 90% chance you're getting hit.
>She literally says "The waves are..." and the explosion happens before she finishes the sentence.
no this does not happen
I heard earlier that funky stuff happens with some mechanics if you are using a trainer and that you should turn it off
The fact people complain about the missiles, which barely do scratch damage, when all the things you're listing are his actual threats, speak to how little attention the average player pays.
Those ideal boost weight stats do actually make a huge difference, and most people don't seem to realize this yet. I think a lot of them are strapping boosters made for light mechs onto heavy builds, not realizing that most of the stats are suffering a significant penalty because they're twice the weight the booster is rated for.
>you are in a mech and can just hover over it you subhuman fuck
>even if you are mentally impaired you can just jump over it
This is why I love reverse legs.
Still, in his second phase you probably wanna be keeping at midrange, diving in to attack when his ACS is low, then pulling back constantly anyway, since everything he gets in that phase is a new close-range threat.
>no pistol ammo buff
Fuck OFF
>FAT SAZABI LEGS
>tiny pinhead
When I saw the head icon I though it was a huge buckethead like Cherno Alpha, then I looked to the right at my AC preview and the buckethead is fucking tiny.
Man once you learn the game you can finish off enemies super quick. I didn't even use any cheese weapons here. Rusty died in 10 seconds, Flatwell died in 2.
This.
Build matters a bunch if you suck but skill can allow you to dominate bosse even with sub par weapons.
I redid Balteus with only a pulse sword and melee punches and while the fight was close I did get him in like 10 attempts.
NOOOO I DIDNT FINISH THE FUCKING GAME YET
And now you never will
post patch players didn't even beat the game, have fun wanking to your hollow victory
Depends on how big the damage nerfs are.
If it's just 10%, it's a nothingburger.
Doesn't matter, even if it's a 0.1% change you factually did not play the same game those who challenged the game on 1.0 did, ergo, you did not beat THE game.
kek this, imagine thinking you beat the game after it's been babyfied for retarded journalists and r*ddit gays
If you used vertical missiles at any point, you need to re-beat the game, but you can't beat the game anymore.
Nobody can beat the game, it's unbeatable.
Missiles are shit you retard
Try them on the trainer AC and see how many actually hit
And here come the shitter excuses.
Sorry.You didn't beat the game.
>Shoot trainer AC until his stagger is primed in orange
>Fire missiles
>Shoot Trainer AC one more time for stagger in red
>Seconds later, missiles hit
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
They're great for bosses.
>tank with legs
You took a lot more damage than you really should. Thing is, a triple missile build that easily fits on a flying lightweight will do what you're doing even faster because Furlong's hand missiles are stupid and will breach that stagger limit in one go. Cataphract is the biggest joke in the entire game, even LCs are more threatening.
>starter AC has vertical missiles
The game was rigged from the start.
>try to beat the game with dual rifles
>bosses feel like unkillable sponges
>complain and get called a retard
>first patch literally only buffs rifles and nerfs bosses
From said 'are you okay retard'.
For explosives, do you want more recoil control or firearm spec?
To do what?
Not miss
If you assume the game's descriptions are true, you want firearm spec.
the way recoil works is that as it builds up a certain percentage of your shots will ignore tracking and just go anywhere. recoil pretty much only kicks in when dual wielding or using some really high ROF guns like SMGs, minigun, etc.
so for explosives the stat doesn't really matter but you want to remember to delay them to reset recoil if you've used high recoil guns before
firearm spec affects tracking and lockon time. lockon time difference is so minimal that it doesn't matter and I don't think there is any data on tracking performance.
so in general it's firearm spec > recoil
Someone did some testing on the /vg/ threads and found that recoil control also affects the first shot. However, it only really fucks up the nachtreiher arms because those are garbage.
According to a garden gnometube comment I read the recoil animation will be faster the higher your arm's recoil management is, so it isn't completely useless for those. Thing is, the vast majority of arms have insufficient recoil management for any dual gun setup.
fromsoft is the most hypocritical studio currently, forget about the starflop and the thousand rehashed planets
fromsoft keeps trying to be this cool, masterfully crafted harder than your usual slop with their 'prepare to die' edition games, but if most of the players can't even beat tutorial or chapter 1 boss and their 'sale-rates' are a pitiful 1 million they end up nerfing the games
casuals are the mass that dictates what company makes how much money, gays can't even just not nerf a game let alone make it hard
they didn't even nerf the filter most people flaked on
Elden Ring sold 20M and they only thing they nerfed was the player weapons, cope and seethe chudy.
They gutted Radahn. They since reversed it but at the time it was very much in response to casuals.
They reversed the nerf it in like 5 days with a hotfix and took him back to the same numbers as 1.0
Pretty sure it was longer than 5 days.
no they didn't you utter retard
>hard is...le good
Seethe, your achievement is now worth nothing. No one cared or will care that you beat the boss. You achieved nothing, everyone will beat it easily, you have wasted your time for nothing. Get a real hobby.
how do you revert to patch 1 on ps4, and assume I buy the game off the store.
*i'm deadly serious. i'm not doing nerfed bosses. if it can't be done they may have lost a sale.
Jesus, that was quick. I'm glad I had my Steam offline and I can finish the game without updating.
Oh, no a boss does 5% less damage on an attack that used to one shot, literally game journalist mode
ibis got a 30% AP reduction and already had no health (or stagger bar) to begin with
that was fake news
I just want to play the original game anon, I enjoy playing things like they came out before patches and fixes and stuff. Maybe it's nothing but it certainly caught me by surprise.
>I just want to play the original game
this this this this this this this
this this this
git gud or gtfo.
I wish NG+ gives you rating.
Is there any documentation on the changes to the bosses?
>stay close to balteus and dodge the bazooka
>stay under sea spider and dodge its lunge attack
>dodge Ibis wave attacks and wait for openings(the fight literally starts with giving you one)
Ahhhh noooo! I'm going insaaaaane! This is toooooo hard! It's just too hard! Nerfs! Neeerfs!
what are the best arms for a coral bro?
Are they actually nerfed and not buffed? That's kinda stupid tbh. I already S-rank'd all boss levels and it's only normal levels left for me. Honestly it's harder to S-rank those average levels because you have to consider ammo cost and damage taken, but every boss is trivialized by shotguns needles combo.
