>"Unlike most Assassin’s Creed games, Assassin’s Creed Red is understood to have two playable characters – a male Samurai and a female Shinobi."
>"The male Samurai is an African refugee who learned the way of the creed."
I can't wait bros, are y'all ready to get wuzzing in feudal japan? 100 100 fr, ong nocap
Hol up
Why are French people like this
A long and proud history yes but a long and proud white history where black people don't belong in. i have no idea what this negress is talking about or maybe she's talking about one of the french colonies
A lot of people yelled about whether it was consistent with the history of the time and complained that they didn't want black people blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
None of them realize that this is entirely a product of political correctness.
Ubisoft created black Japanese samurai to please black people and power organizations.
As for whether you like it or not, no one cares.
Can I kill this NPC? Or is it essential? Asking for a friend (pic related)
Kill all Amerigolems.
Ah yes
Those French Americans
It's an Amerimutt game, you retard.
Ik this thread will just be some "we wuzing" bait but tbf, there was an african samurai that existed during the oda nobunaga period. They could be basing the story of him but that won't mean the internet won't stop going "we wuz kangz" harder than when Origins dropped.
He was a court jester, not a samurai. He didn't even get forced to commit seppuku with Oda because he was not considered a samurai.
I've heard he was either a samurai "retainer" or a weapons bearer for Oda at the very least. Never heard anything about him being a "court jester".
Either way it wouldn't matter, he could have had over a 100 confirmed kills and a more extensive involvement in Japanese history and people would still be upset at the inclusion of him in a videogame.
Yeah because people wanted a jap in a japanese themed game. It doesn't matter if there was a historical black samurai. Almost every single samurai throughout history was a jap. How is this any different from it being a white guy? There were white samurai too and they accomplished more than that one black samurai. But that doesn't matter because it is completely misrepresentative of the setting.
He was le funny big Black Oda liked to show off. Perhaps he did carry those duties, but he did not earn the honor, it's just because he's a funny big Black he got the opportunity.
Either way, he could have been an relevant actual historical figure, but guess what he's not.
not famous like the warlords of yore but he still stuck around
He was literally a boss in Nioh 2 and has appeared in other Japanese games and media.
This is one of those rare instances where it doesn't fucking matter.
You mean the guy who got made a samurai basically as a joke by an idiot, got into one fight, and was then deported because the japs basically didn't consider him human?
There's a lot of mystery as to what happened to yasuke, but i'm not sure he even got deported.
And tbf the japs didn't even consider him human to begin with given how they hadn't even seen a black person before and thought he was just really dirty.
>There's a lot of mystery as to what happened to yasuke, but i'm not sure he even got deported.
He was considered "not human" and an actual animal after he left Nobunaga's service, in which point he attended a place fit for people who weren't human and there are no records of him after that because the Japanese didn't give a shit about him, because he was literally considered a token joke, an eastern minstrel moron.
He has absolutely no bearing on history, feudal Japanese or otherwise except to sick, mentally ill, cretinous race fetishists who want a "Yasuke" in a popular AAA video game simply to pwn the chuds.
Modern liberals and especially the french are animals, terminally ill race fetishists.
race fetishizing Blackphiles are completely insane
none of those words are in the bible
Among Us reference?
the east has fallen
Miura Anjin already has his own game series so I guess they decided not to make him the foreign assassin who's playable, but if they decide to go through this I can't imagine it will go very well.
People sign up for AC games to play with the characters of the setting for the most part - some crossover or historically unique individuals are great as NPCs or as part of the story in the AC continuity but most of the core playable characters are unique created for the games, so it would be dumb as hell to have an African samurai or something especially THAT guy. It would be fine if you met him somewhere, or he's in your retinue somehow, or whatever else referencing him but as the major playable character that's some shit.
Ubi does seem to have a problem between realizing what people want and what they actually deliver that leads to halfassing it. AC Origins actually did well and putting aside WeWuz-ing, they slipped but a bit by making Aya more contextually important and doing shit off screen ( as well as we'll find out in a later game that she's actually the lineage of the Eagle Bearer etc) but generally Bayek is fine as his role helping to create the Hidden Ones. AC Odyssey is where stuff gets fucky - they give Kassandra the Wonder Woman hair but a really manly fridge body and insist she's the canon protag, despite most playing as Alexios who easily looks, sounds, and plays like what you'd expect of a Greek mythical hero; at least both of them are at least somewhat of what you'd expect given the setting. AC Valhalla they realized most people played the male Eivor/Odin but had to press even harder on "actually its female Eivor and Odin's consciousness" but at least Eivor looks like a hardass viking shieldmaiden or the quintessential Norse mythological hero.
Despite my issues with we wuzzing, I actually liked both Origins and Odyssey a lot, you can tell Ubi was tearing their hair trying to make it as woke as possible without alienating their only audience, though.
Valhalla is where they started to lose me. Eivor's completely diverse and peaceful camp of people from all cultures in 800's AD England, who joined the Vikings on purpose because they're so kind and welcoming, was completely beyond the pale to me -- they had absolutely no problem with having you raid Christian temples and cathedrals though, of course.
They did this despite the various Vikings TV series out at the time as being extremely popular while also portraying them as brutal, slave capturing battle maniacs -- which is what people wanted to see.
Eh, Eivor's camp didn't bother me - there were examples of that sort of thing. It was more of a 'swear fealty to our clan and bring a useful skill and you're onboard, we don't have time to bitch about you being from one village over back home or from the other side of the world". There weren't that many people from massively different cultures as I can recall, outside of the Hidden One emissaries who were middle eastern and the one fucking Chinese merchant or whatnot, most were a combination of either Norse or "local" Saxons/English...and there's lots of story elements showing how there's a large contingent who don't like the Vikings at all in the wider English kingdom. Its kind of like how in the Vinland expedition you hunt down you have people from all over employed to work there on behalf of the Order who's local leader was a Viking etc and vikings trading with the local native people (who are part of AC3 Connor's general tribal group) You were raiding Christian monasteries for resources that were under the control of hostile forces from the local petty kings to the major king, to the Order so I didn't see that as a problem. It would have been worse if they didn't let you raid anything at all and especially at the time and with the story, there was lots of "the corrupt leaders are locking up all the over-taxed goods in the churches" for the good of the Order because as you find out late in the base campaign, the Grand Master is incredibly religious (and in fact this is the AC point of inflection from where The Order of Ancients started to move toward the more limited Templar ideology.
Its not like you didn't have time to be brutal and your choices could go either way, not to mention the story bits with some of your clan who were exactly that sort of viking stereotype, notably Ivarr the Boneless and Dag.
Ubisoft is tired of people picking the male character so now you get to choose between moron or woman
I can pretty much expect a bunch of black-worshipping feminists to be scrambling around the internet bragging about how much fun this game is when it's released.
All the people who hate this game just have racist misogyny.
>The end result is that the game sells poorly, Ubisoft lowers sales expectations and lays off employees.
>Ubisoft lowers sales expectations and lays off employees
I hope so. fuck ubi
Cope it's still going to sell 10 million
>>The end result is that the game sells poorly, Ubisoft lowers sales expectations and lays off employees.
"We need to do something about Ubisoft mistreating its employees, we must do better."
Same people.
I believe this one isn't going to be on Steam just like Mirage so yeah it will sell poorly because everybody will definitely flock to install Origin and buy the latest AC lmao.
>I believe this one isn't going to be on Steam just like Mirage
As I remember Mirage won't be on steam, it will be on uplay. you may have to wait up to a year for a steam version.
Huh? I thought Ubi finally broke with the stupid of taking Timmy Tencent's money for awhile and it going poorly, so much like how Valhalla is on Steam now, I though Mirage and future games will be so, in addition to direct on UPlay.
They will, but not until a year or two after
Ubisoft doubled down on their retardation and thus none of their new games will be on Steam at launch.
>Japan worshiping black men
Nothing new there
>The male Samurai is an African
Im more interested in the female shinobi.
Will she be doing female shinobi things and seducing men to poison them?
No
They'll be exactly the same gameplay wise
It's pretty telling that they did it with the japanese one. Europeans hate Asian men and fetishize blacks and Asian women.
>How to make sure zero nips buy a game with a setting in Japan
The purpose is not to get japanese men to buy the game, it's to humiliate them.
