And that'll just be BOTW 2.
Prime 4 is just in development hell probably thanks to the beautiful multiculturalism and muñtigenderism and other 'tisms that currently form Retro studios.
>some random nobody troony writer who does background shit only us autists will even worry about reading >having the power to cause trouble for a staple Nintendo franchise
Nah. Not saying development is going smoothly but I don't believe for a moment Nintendo would let some moron frick with one of their babies. Messing with some characters in Fire Emblem is far different than Samus.
You deeply underestimate the power to frick things up that a single troony has in a western company.
Doesn't matter if they're not changing shit about the characters or the story, it's literally shit all the way down.
The ammount of drama and deestabilization of a work environment they can cause is so great I don't know why companies aren't sending trannies to work for each other as corporate sabotage.
Lol remember when Nintendo needed a Halo killer for the Wii so they made Prime 3? I remember. Prime 3 wanted to be Halo so bad. Nintendo doesn't have qualms about fricking w metroid.
E3 2017 and there's been absolutely nothing concrete for it since other than news that development had restarted in early 2019 when it changed hands from Bandai Namco to Retro. They were looking for storyboard artists as late as fall 2020.
I think it's obvious that they moved it to the next console a while ago. They don't even talk about it at all, probably because they're worried about being sued by tricking people into thinking it's a switch game to get them to buy a switch. It makes sense as a way to show off the system's graphics since Metroid Prime is one of their few "realistic" looking series (not cartoony like Mario/Zelda).
I don't know why anyone would even want MP4 on the switch. The hardware is utter dogshit. It would have to be limited in very obnoxious ways to get it running at 900-1080p with a solid framerate.
>They don't even talk about it at all, probably because they're worried about being sued by tricking people into thinking it's a switch game to get them to buy a switch.
Or, get this, it's just in development.
>Or, get this, it's just in development.
It's been in development since 2018
You think they cant even give a teaser now?
With next year being 6 years into the switch's life and Nintendo doing a new console every 6 years for decades it's obviously been punted.
>2018
2019. >You think they cant even give a teaser now?
No. The game restarted development in 2019 also there's no reason to show it when they have other games with actual in game footage now. >With next year being 6 years into the switch's life and Nintendo doing a new console every 6 years for decades it's obviously been punted.
Not only is the switch a handheld successor meaning it'll most likely abide by handheld time frames which tend to be longer they intend to keep the system going longer which frankly, is a wise choice given the state of the world and the fact that generations need to slow down.
>No. The game restarted development in 2019 also there's no reason to show it when they have other games with actual in game footage now.
It was announced at the beginning of 2019 but obviously they didn't restart the project the day they announced it. Development definitely began in late 2018, 4 fricking years ago. If they haven't pushed it to the next console, where's the fricking game?
>If they haven't pushed it to the next console, where's the fricking game?
the next console isn't going to have exclusives for at least a couple of years, look what happens with the PS5 and new xbox, nintendo aren't going to ignore the gigantic switch install base it's 100% going to be a dual release
1 year ago

Miyamoto literally confirmed a few days ago that the next console will have exclusives, so you're wrong.
He specifically said that the next console will have new experiences not possible on the switch, which means it will have some form of software that cant run on the switch whether that's because of power or new gimmicks or whatever.
I don't know why anyone would even want MP4 on the switch. The hardware is utter dogshit. It would have to be limited in very obnoxious ways to get it running at 900-1080p with a solid framerate.
It sold well for a Metroid game. But the people who experienced that as their first Metroid game, probably won’t buy another. Mercury Steam has doomed the series even more to obscurity
I don't care if it's delayed until Switch 2 or whatever their next device is as long as it's great. Even if it's just good I'll be happy because at least it wouldn't be shit. Gimme the feeling I had when I played Prime 1 all those years ago. That's all I ask.
God I hope so.
>metroid as the switch 2 launch title
Could be neat. Japs would probably hate it thogh
Dragon Quest 12 would probably make up for it though
>he unironically thinks this game is being developed
anon...
They need something to launch a new console before another 5 year drought.
And that'll just be BOTW 2.

they don't even have a working pre-alpha
at this point I'd be shocked if it's even going to be a cross gen title and not a full on game for the NX 2
when was this announced?
E3 2017 and there's been absolutely nothing concrete for it since other than news that development had restarted in early 2019 when it changed hands from Bandai Namco to Retro. They were looking for storyboard artists as late as fall 2020.
before bayo 3
Who's a good little gooner bawd for Samus?
YOU ARE!
>gooner
I was on a long vacation.
Why are you guys saying that instead of coomer now?
Anon ive been waiting 15 years, it's never gonna happen
>Retro could have made a third kino DKC game
>Instead they're being wasted on vaporware that will get cancelled and shut down the studio
God I hate Nintendo and Metroid so much it's unreal.

Only on Ganker do you hear the dumbest shit.

It's in development obviously. It's not like they can shit out a metroid game like a terrible AAA game.
I don't know why anyone would even want MP4 on the switch. The hardware is utter dogshit. It would have to be limited in very obnoxious ways to get it running at 900-1080p with a solid framerate.
Is this shit ever coming out?
>Is this shit ever coming out?
Yeah right after the switch 2 releases, hardware that can actually run it.
Didn't Dread sell gangbusters? It would be weird for them to not push the franchise more, whether Prime 4 or otherwise.
It sold well for a Metroid game. But the people who experienced that as their first Metroid game, probably won’t buy another. Mercury Steam has doomed the series even more to obscurity
Why wouldn't they? If they liked it they'd want more, or at the very least give other games in the franchise a try.
It's dead Jim
Just like the Prime 1 remake we were getting
you'll get your metroid prime trilogy rerelease for the 3rd generation in a row and you'll like it
I don't care if it's delayed until Switch 2 or whatever their next device is as long as it's great. Even if it's just good I'll be happy because at least it wouldn't be shit. Gimme the feeling I had when I played Prime 1 all those years ago. That's all I ask.
As long as it's not canceled they can take all the time they need to make it good.
