Peter is white, that does not mean he is marketed specifically to white people. Certainly some characters are made a certain color to market them to a specific people, but not always. I one hundred percent agree, that's more or less what I'm saying. Spawn was never made to appeal specifically to blacks, he's just a solid character who is also a black man. Miles was built from the ground up "for blacks" to pander to them. It's the same thing as Kamala Khan. She is a character purpose-built to pander to Muslims. Or at least a white liberal's idea of Muslims. It's entirely possible to have characters that are extremely well-made without being overt like this. No one would have an issue with Miles if his genesis wasn't constructed around soulless racebaiting.

Well what's so irritating about this game is that whatever good Spider Verse and the first couple of games have built up about his character, outside of just being racebait, has been almost entirely shelved to make his segments be 100% about BIPOCLGBTQ virtue signalling. The only character development Miles has all game is working Li and it happens in the last 1/5 of the game.
It's a fucking embarrassment, especially when the rest of his presence is boiled down to saving Pete's ass.
