The game gives you a weapon expressly for this fight
also you can unpetrify the drow to make it easier if you have been picking up basilisk oil from the various places it's been left out
>Hope
Fuck Shadowheart, fuck the frog, fuck the hell fiend. This insane and precious shortstack deserves big Tav cock.
But most importantly, Fuck Larian.
You can uncharm the Drow he unstones by dealing damage to them You can also trigger the fight by firing at a statue while safe in the fortress. You still get surprised but the Beholder spawns too far away to attack you.
Gut's easy. Ask to talk to her in private in her room, and then have your team jump in the back way and beat her when she's alone. Past her room is a tunnel into their explosives stockpile. Use Disguise Self to change into a halfling or gnome to get through the tunnel and steal that shit. Then get creative.
Pretty easily actually >recruit Sovereign Glut from the Myconid colony >Have Glut use his reanimate power on a minotaur for yet another overpowered follower >use the explosive barrels from the temple and place them near where it spawns
EZPZ
>sneak into area you know he's in >he literally does not fucking exist until you reveal yourself so it's virtually impossible to not get surprised
Fucking gay.
Seriously? This thing was pretty easy. I just whacked it and it went down in 2 or 3 turns, then the drow stopped fighting me. Until the stupid gays pick another fight with you
I was going to do that but when I clicked on the mountain pass it told me to finish everything up in the first area, which made me think I couldn't go back.
That's just your warning to resolve the druid/goblin conflict before you proceed, if you go into Act 2 without finishing the quest the grove gets massacred and all the goblins move on to Moonrise
Feels like they really fucked up the balancing of combat in this game. Level 1-4 is frustratingly difficult at times, but then at 5 the game actually becomes fun.
There is a massive power increase at level 5 for a lot of classes, so the most difficult parts of the game is when you're still level 4 but fighting level 5/6 enemies.
I used Shadowheart + sacred flame and to illuminate it and make it easier to hit. Guardian spirits did a lot of damage, too. Then I spammed lacerate and blew it to pieces with fire.
How the fuck does bless work? I apply it before combat, but it feels like it disappears from all characters sooner that it says. Shadowheart also doesn't take damage to lose concentration. Is it something you want to apply during combat and not before?
You can only use one concentration spell per character at a time. If you use a different concentration spell your character will stop concentrating on the original one and the buff falls off.
That I do know, but it's weird. I don't use any more, but for some reason it doesn't say "bless" on the character's bottom left corner after a while anymore. Sometimes I haven't even entered combat. Oh well.
I am a retard who threw away my key chain because I didn't think it would be a container for EVEYR key you pick up. Will there be more keychains in the future?
One playthrough I used barrels from the nearby temple because, the next i pickpocketed the iron flask back from the zhent lady and had a little underdark pokemon battle
Is 3 melee, 1 ranged bad? My MC is a paladin, and so far I've ran with Shadowheart, Gale and Astarion (mostly shooting shit), but I just went back to the first area and found the red barbarian, and she seems really good. Would I fuck myself if I went with her instead of Astarion?
>Can't defeat one of the easier bosses
Unironically l2p. If you can't defeat this guy, how the fuck are you going to defeat the harder bosses later on?
>nothing but eyeballs
Blind it
The game gives you a weapon expressly for this fight

attack it
poke the charmed enemies
Equip a ribbon so that you're immune to it's Bad Breath.
>one of the charmed drows casts darkness on my team
>walk out and poke it
>walk back in
easy
Lure it back to the underdark temple with the proximity turret out the front
Does that work? It can fly and attack 4-5 times per turn and paralyze your party members. It also opens up by surprising your party.
this is what I did, ez pz. you can also do it to the minotaurs
he cute
haha barrels go boom
I just bruteforced him.
I think its AC is pretty low so you can just unleash everything on its ass.
die and come back before you leave act 2 lol lmao
it only appears if you fuck with the petrified guys anyway, i beat the one in the flask in act 1
wait i misremembered, that's act 1 too
>Hope

shoot it in the eye that shit looks a gohma

never go out without ol' reliable, command:halt
FUCK THIS IS ACT 1?!?!?
technically i guess. it is part of the underdark which I would call its own area
You can go there regardless of the act?
Shoot or hit the mind controlled drows, than turns them to your side!
How do I kill the goblin leaders
there's a locked room behind the moonglow merchant lady inside the temple that has 6? bomb barrels. go allah ackbar
wat u mean bro u just hit them
I keep missing
I just clicked them and it was over idk how are you having a hard time with it
tactician btw
Clearly its a clicking skill issue
I will train my clicking finger

Bombs. Some shoves don't hurt either.
I made this one easier by just blowing him up first, it took almost half his HP away.
>moving barrels pre-combat
you didn't beat the game.
cope

It doesn’t matter if you kill it, because the second you do the idiots who were frozen turn around and start killing you.
drows do be like that
Is that Boulder?
>sneak into area you know he's in
>he literally does not fucking exist until you reveal yourself so it's virtually impossible to not get surprised
Fucking gay.
Bro, your Alert feat?
I hit it until it died.
Seriously? This thing was pretty easy. I just whacked it and it went down in 2 or 3 turns, then the drow stopped fighting me. Until the stupid gays pick another fight with you
I wouldn't know. Got there after doing the whole Crèche sidequest and obliterated it before it could act.
I was going to do that but when I clicked on the mountain pass it told me to finish everything up in the first area, which made me think I couldn't go back.

One of the drow pushed this thing into the chasm almost immediately.
>flying creatures falls into chasm
Have you tried sucking its dick? That seems to be the main gameplay mechanic for everything in BG3
Feels like they really fucked up the balancing of combat in this game. Level 1-4 is frustratingly difficult at times, but then at 5 the game actually becomes fun.
That's when you start getting enough perks to put you on even footing with the tougher enemies.
There is a massive power increase at level 5 for a lot of classes, so the most difficult parts of the game is when you're still level 4 but fighting level 5/6 enemies.
>I'm in act 1 and this just showed up. How the fuck do I kill this thing?
Throw the iron flask at him
Have sex with the bear
>forced surprise ambush
>gets 2 attacks and spawns an ally every turn
very gay fight
>2 attacks
Fear ray, wounding ray, bite, paralyze, and de-petrify. All in one turn.
Bruh moment
I guess I'm a retard for doing something wrong with it?
You can only use one concentration spell per character at a time. If you use a different concentration spell your character will stop concentrating on the original one and the buff falls off.

If you use it outside of turn-based mode it will tick down faster
Aaah, that might be it then. Thanks, I'll use start using it in combat to make sure.
Ragzlin kicked my ass. How fucked am I if I can barely fight him?
Not at all. He's a tough fight, especially below level 5. There's an insane power level boost at 5, and the game becomes much more fun and enjoyable.
Take Wyll to the rafters and knock him into the hole next to the throne without being seen
>enrages
>half my team dies in one turn
i was going for a stealth kill, so i blew his ass up
extra attack OP
Halsin
I am a retard who threw away my key chain because I didn't think it would be a container for EVEYR key you pick up. Will there be more keychains in the future?
I guess you could just take another party member's keychain, but why did you not bother looking at it before dumping it?
it's not even that hard. just hit it with melee and spells
One playthrough I used barrels from the nearby temple because, the next i pickpocketed the iron flask back from the zhent lady and had a little underdark pokemon battle
why didn’t they increase the act 3 enemy hp by at least 200%
Is 3 melee, 1 ranged bad? My MC is a paladin, and so far I've ran with Shadowheart, Gale and Astarion (mostly shooting shit), but I just went back to the first area and found the red barbarian, and she seems really good. Would I fuck myself if I went with her instead of Astarion?
it's fine. barbarian are stupid strong ranged too if you get the tavern brawler feat and throw stuff
Alright, cool. I also remembered that Shadowheart does in fact have a bit of ranged as well, should there be a need for it.
figure out how to sexual intercourse
>One round it with ease
Some of us are just chad gamers.
>Can't defeat one of the easier bosses
