I dont see how second place makes a difference honestly. Still an insane amount of money, but BBND is moronic regardless of how much money they're making. No other creature collector is held to this standard, pokemon fans just autistically latch onto a slogan from the 90s
>side tangent about nothing
you'd know a lot about autism huh
Because it's moronic to force yourself to manage hundreds to thousands of creatures and every other creature collector dev team realized this?
then don't let the players transfer pokemon from game to game, and for that matter don't program every single pokemon into the game in the first place if that doesn't matter, after all why would they want to appeal to action replay users who want to larp with their old kanto/johto starters or whatnot?
why is was it even allowed in the first place if it was such a problem to that? why was it encouraged, actually? dppt has features that pertain to putting a gba pokemon game into the other slot, thus allowing you to catch rare pokemon and even rare items (such as for trade evos)
why would they waste such valuable programming time on that if it never actually mattered? they could've made dp's engine faster instead, or increased the pokemon variety naturally too

Because it was more manageable when they didn't have 1000+ pokemon...?

yeah but clearly they should've been able to see that it would be a problem in future games
why would someone willingly set up an expectation and then eventually fail to deliver on that expectation? if you had a friend that did that, you'd scorn em

Which is why they set the precedent now before it became too out of hand. With swsh I could understand being mad at the natdex cut because you got literally nothing in return, but it's more clear with Legends and SV that they have been adding a bunch of new model reworks, texture reworks, animations, and environmental interactions to each pokemon and will probably keep adsing onto that in the future. So it's understandable they'd want to work with a smaller pool.
>latch onto a slogan from the 90s >Picrel is from 2023
Do they pay you shills to suck their wieners or do you just do it for free?
Oh, that's right YOU pay them to suck them off jfc
Do I need to explain to you that this photo doesn't debunk that the slogan is indeed from the 90s or do you need a little more time to think on this one?

It is from the 90's, but you posted as if it was left there when they still use it. >need a little more time to think on this one?
Yes, (you) do

No, I posted it because that's what people are autistically latching onto. Whatever else you got out of that statement isn't my problem.

Once again, they are still using the slogan to this day.
You keep saying latching onto it as if they stopped using it. What kind of moronation are you stricken with?

Jesus christ are you in fricking 3rd grade? How do you lack this much reading comprehension? The slogan. Is from. The 90s. It doesn't matter how or when they use it, none of that stops my statement from being true. I didn't say it to argue "it's old so why care xD!!", I said it to say people are autistically latching onto a slogan from their childhood. I shouldn't have to make this many posts for you to understand something so simple.

This moron would argue kids liking cars is autistically latching onto something from 200+ years ago.
Pokemon is also from the 90s, I guess they should stop making games too.
What the FRICK are you people talking about?? Its genuinely starting to concern me, this is twitter levels of incomprehensible garbage, I never made any of these fricking arguments. I said it's a slogan from the 90s people autistically latch onto, because that's literally what it fricking is.
>no other creature collector ever did this >no other creature collector ever became as popular as pokemon
The popularity isn't the concern, it's the genre and the amount of creatures

Are you dense??? Do I really have to spell it out for you?? >there are no other monster collector held to same standard of keeping all creatures >coincidentally all these monster collectors do not achieve mainstream popularity >the only one that kept its creatures, pokemon (at the time) was a smash hit

Are YOU dense? Are you legitimately arguing pokemon's popularity was due to the natdex?? Then WHY would swsh, the game notorious for cutting the dex, be the second high selling one???

The power of nostalgia alone. Everyone here always says it; pokemon games can now get away with nearly anything, no bf, no natdex, no hq animations, no good graphics, no steady framerate, etc etc etc

Probably the stupidest thing I've read all week. And I don't even necessarily care about bbnd

You should probably reallocate your homosexualry budget to viagra, gramps.
Anyway, I have no problem with Pokemon continuing to be a success. It's disappointing that you idiots buy games with as much craftsmanship as a factory reject model, but that's your business. Even if they started making good games, I'm allowed to spend money on what I want to spend money on and I don't want to spend it on Pokemon games that don't let me have a complete dex. Simple as.
Just being dead serious here, do you have anything better to do?
What else am I supposed to do?

pokemon is the highest grossing franchise

Pokémon gets brutally mogged by Winnie the Pooh
Sounds like BBND was proven right
third post best post

i wonder why?
because pokemon fans have crippling autism and unironically use things such as “a trainer uses charizard in the game” as a criticism
>side tangent about nothing
you'd know a lot about autism huh

It's been 20+ years and they *just* went over 1000, no game has ever had that many.
digimon has 1500 according to google
By “managing 1000s” do you mean “copy&pasting from a database of a few hundred where sometimes you change older creatures with tiny buff”?

No amount of homosexual echo chambers will change that.

Gee idk the 70 BILLION dollar franchise has fallen on hard times.
You shills are beyond moronic.

THAT STILL WOULD BE HIGHEST GROSSING FRANCHISE IF THEY DIDN'T GET GREEDY AND CUT THE DEX!
Flaseflagging bootlicker... I'm going to be constructive here: you should have a nice day.
