I mean, who is complaining about making 2 mill a week?

2 million is garbage for first week after release, the average gacha game makes a billion dollars per years.

For a mobile game it's awful

        [...]
You don't know how good an actual gacha sell, right? They sell billions annual. If it keeps or matches $2 million a week, then at minimum that's only $100 million a year which is bad for a gacha by comparison to others within the same field.

It's a literal card game using already paid for assets (comic covers) for the cards. The hard work is already done. Maintaining 330k a day by adding a few new cards here and there and more locations/events is a huge win for a mobile app. You people are literally insane.

i could make a fart app and have 2 million in the first week

This homie thinks $100m revenue still doesn't put it in the top 1% of gacha games.

I want you to think of it this way. Let's say you start a lemonade stand. Costs you $50 to get everything going and like $20 a week upkeep for shit to make the lemonade. After about a month you look at how much money you actually made in profit and it was $10.

That is a simplified version of the concept, but the basic idea remains. For the amount of time, money, and resources being invested the company and it's shareholders don't just want to "make a little profit". Everything it based on maximizing profit. This gatcha shit might even be making a little bit of money but that's money and time that could be spent on a more profitable product.

And to be clear because people are going to start circle jerking and getting up in arms about numbers.

Companies this big expect MASSIVE returns on investment. Along with executives who don't understand analytics and are competing to show why their division is relevant, This app could be doubling it's money and that not be enough.

You are taking numbers out of your ass.

Second Dinner, the devs of this game, has around 60 employees.

As a matter of comparison, Mihoyo has 4000 employees.
King, makers of Candy Crush, has 2000 employees.

Marvel Snap is doing well and generating healthy profit.

I don't have any sense of whether that's good revenue or not but I imagine it will drop off pretty quickly

Is Marvel Snap any good? I don't know anything about Marvel except for the classic heroes, are there many waifus in the game? I like playing Shadowverse and Yugioh because of Waifus, and hate Magic because of Black folk.

How much money does Hearthstone make? I guess it's a fair comparison.

I've been playing and it's good, probably the most enjoyable mobile card game, especially because the matches are very short.
There are quite a few waifus, especially some old school ones with old school uniforms, bit not even close to the level of Shadowverse.

Do you people not understand the concept of “target demographic”

It’s no wonder you’re all fricking NEETs you would absolutely shit your pants in the world of business

    >LMAO nice office supply store logistics coordinating company you got there. What did that make, $285 million this year?
    >You know McDonalds makes $22 billion a year right?
    >lmao so mad I bet you’re wishing you were selling fries right now kek instead of hiring forklift drivers
    >maximum cope from shipping fleet cucks about those beef patties

I think the real argument here is about how moronic the average gacha player is.
I don't know what this stupid Marvel game is because I don't pay attention to gacha scene, but I'm guessing it has basically everything that slop-eating gachatards look for in a gacha except for the anime waifus and e-girls, so they pass on it, because they are just that specific flavor of moronic
The skinnerbox can be primed and ready for their exploitable mental condition, but unless they want to put their dick in the skinnerbox it's no dice
Did I mention people who spend money on gachas are moronic?

the game does have coom cards though, surprisingly for a Disney game. Of course this is a variant so it's much harder to get unless you pay money, which is where the 2 million probably comes from kek.

One of the few card games I actually enjoy. There's no "you don't get to play" bullshit from some guy doing his practiced 999999 step combo and games are like 4 minutes long so you can grind the missions for meme money and leave if you're too busy to play a lot that day. Only downside is it starts off too simple with shitty cards and only opens up after you grind a decent amount.

Wtf you morons this costs literally nothing to make or maintain, where is the upkeep? It's fricking free money

is the game like 99% bots? i must have played about 80-90 matches and i haven't lost a single round except for the tutorial one that encourages you to retreat. people keep making moron plays and snapping where there's no possible way for them to win even if i didn't play anything
