Be honest: How long did she take you? Personally, using no summons/great runes/bloodhound, she took around an hour and a half. Personally, I think that's a pretty good time compared to much of what I've heard. She was hard, sure, but I didn't think she was that much harder than Mohg or even Radagon (Elden Beast excluded cause that's easy)
I don't play trash.
was using the blasphemous greatsword so I killed her first try
well designed game btw
Lmao that sword is just made for success, and it's basically unmissable too.
Malakath took me around 30 minutes, mostly cause I was able to stance break him at the start of his 2nd phase pretty consistently once I got his moves down right.
first try with mimic tear pre nerf
yeah about 90 minutes.
Only one that took longer was malakath, about two hours.
20 mins until I got the Mimic to combo her just right with me 😉
yeah about an hour and a half, I remember I started fighting her around 11 and then was done like half past midnight and went out for a smoke and the 'cheevos had her as the first thing for the new day with a bunch of stuff from the day before because I was having a big play session
I ended up winning with bloodhound fang, and then quickswapping to a dagger with bhs to dodge the flurry, which I kinda already had from lake of rot, or ds3 using a quickstep dagger in swamps etc...
I'd say she was the hardest in ER, as far as amount of time and tries it took compared to everyone else, but I don't think she was the best because she just leaned too heavy into a single gimmick and wasn't very interesting otherwise (like I'd say mogh and radagon were *better* bosses than her)
I have been on this b***h c**t for three days and I still can't beat her
I hate miyazaki
with mimic tear and claymore it took me like 20m probably
2 hours
spikeballs only
first try thanks to the epic legend LET ME SOLO HER
Summoned two other dudes and we slapped her to death on about three minutes.
whole day despite mimic on my 1st playthrough, but i've been using large club, so that says a lot + i never learned how to dodge/stop waterfowl dance
on my second playthrough it took me even longer, but i did it on my own without any summons
I skipped her because my time is worth more than what the game has to offer, didn't even get to her fogwall, jsut looked up where she was on the map and turned around after doing malificent's quest or whatever her stupid name was
Played the whole game blind and thought I saw most of what was offered until I reached Radagon/Elden Beast. Then I find out about the Haligtree. Wtf? How did people find this shit organically
they didn't, shills and redditors were convicned for the first week of launch that all the quests ended halfway for lore reasons and it wasn't until the wiki updated after the first week that people realized that no, all the quests had high chances of breaking. I'm pretty well convinced that a lot of the information on quest triggers and stuff was datamined in the first week because it was pretty much impossible for a quest not to snap in half for no reason.
On my first playthrough millicent died after talking to her once and the guy gave me her super powerful talisman, only for me to learn later on the wiki that even if she died you don't get the talisman, so it was just that bugged at launch. And like I said, all the secret shit was definitely cheated to find
the haligtree is pretty easy to find on your own if you explore a bit, hell I did it blind on my first game. Millicent's quest is kinda fricky if you did altus before caelid however I agree.
I used magic on her in a pure INT build so I didnt really beat her.
>Personally, using no summons/great runes/bloodhound, she took around an hour and a half
Nice self-imposed challenge
I think about 8 hours in total on a quality build..
Frost cheese, frick this boss
Also any good letsplays/walkthroughs? beaten the game a few times and want a comfy different way to beat the game.
Probably 50 tries, heavy-ish armour with a Morgotts sword
I was powerstancing a Frozen Needle and a Poison Antspur Rapier with Seppuku to inflict a delicate combination of Poison, Scarlet Rot, Frost and Bleed in a combination I refer to as 'Ligma'.
Malenia isn't so tough when she's constantly getting stunned by Bleed/Frost procs- doesn't give her a chance to use her dangerous attacks.
I definitely beat her within ten tries.
Radagon and Elden Beast were significantly harder for me- since both are immune to status ailments. That was rough.
Why is everyone so in love with her??
Nine foot tall beautiful red haired super Valkyrie warrior who kills you repeatedly and gets naked doing it.
Gosh, I have no idea.
I like her voice, admire her strength and goals, and really pity her backstory (still holding out hope we can cure her and save her brother in the DLC). But for most people it's probably just because she's both really strong and has an objectively good design (more so the trailer state before most of her body got covered in mold). She looks like the right combination of beautiful, vulnerable, and powerful. Absolute 10/10 character design.
I wouldn't know what "most people" think about her because all I see here are moronic bait threads. I don't think I've ever once seen anything positive posted about her design on 4cahn
Nothing needs to be posted, just look at her. Then consider why she has more fan art than every other non-Ranni character in the game combined despite only being in it for like five minutes.
>Nothing needs to be posted
then who are these "most people"
>be soldier
>line up for battle
>look over to the enemy and see this
>think maybe you're on the wrong side...
if you need to ask, you've already failed the patrician litmus test
around 10 hours
4 hours with a sword and board faith build
I think about 50 attempts. I was taking things the hard way with a halberd and buckler. I kind of handicapped myself on my first playthrough though - never used a single power stance move set, only jump attacked rarely, never used a single status effect. I didn't use any Spirit Ashes for it. Not necessarily because I had a problem with it, but because the ones I had died too quickly while giving her back health (no Tiche and a subpar Mimic Tear). Useless.
On my second playthrough where I was spamming all that shit she went down on attempt six, though that's still to her credit because most other bosses died on attempts one or two, including ones that used to beat my ass like Maliketh and Godskin Duo.
These days I've played her fight so much I can reasonably one-try it with any semi-viable build. I absolutely love this fight.
I don't know what it was timewise, it was probably ~40 attempts but I was lasting pretty long in most of them. I did it week 1 totally blind so I had no clue what to do about waterfowl and the roll pattern I'd settled on for it was way worse than the running strategy everyone spread around online but it worked just often enough that I just assumed it was meant to be that hard. It probably would have been way longer if I hadn't stumbled on moonveil or if they'd nerfed the stagger on that sooner.
Mate, I literally just today found the key to Greirat's cell. Get off my ass.
i spent an hour trying and failing with my moonlight because I kept trying to hit her with heavy attacks, then I switched to a roll+r1 try only (had some prawn first mind you) and got her. Not a bad boss imo though the healing is a bit annoying ans the camera tends to go awry when she does her killing move.
used tiche and blasphemous blade to stunlock her. lifesteal doesn't belong in from soft games btw.
Like 35 attempts first time i killed her. But she clicked with me and i replicated it 15 more times without trying much. Mommy
