Anyone who's paying attention to the quarterly updates will know that it's not going to be okay. At the very least D4 will be fun for a month maybe. And that's probably good enough?
The D4 Devs are actually listening, and they're changing mechanics that people are complaining about so I mean, there's some hope. Just gotta avoid the woke cringe which is probably impossible. Can't we just have a game where we just kill shit and don't have to worry about the gender of them?

It's different with Diablo though, the WoW players are too stupid to ask for things that keep an interactive world afloat. This is an ARPG, you can apply more bandaid fixes to it because it's not an MMORPG.
Also, lets be real- the people who are making posts about Diablo aren't the same dumb frick making posts about WoW. Also Blizzard always listened to their customers, they just forgot the ones they cultivated in WoW have borderline moronation.

Real money auction house lead to rampant account hacking. Pretty sure EVERY fricking account got hacked. My account had a bunch of new accounts linked in my friends list. I try to tell this to customer support. They only give me a standard form response. Over. And over. And over again.
Then we get into the procedurally generated world in 3. Dogshit. Every area was samey as frick as opposed to what made D1 and 2 unique. The tiles for prodedural generation in D3 were all just corridors. No wide open areas. No exploration. No randomly multileveled caves to run through. None of the good shit. Just watered down faff.
And that was only actiblizz. Microsoft owns them all now.
This isn't going to improve because you want it to.

Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 2 is getting a rerelease for modern consoles and steam on July 20. Yes I'm shilling for free because I loved this game as a kid.

d3 was great
It was a fricking shitshow at launch and hasnt improved much aside from removing the god awful real money auction house. Builds are still shit. Itemization is still shit. The only upside it has vs diablo 2 is more stuff to do endgame.

Microsoft bought these IPs. They did so as an investment. They scoured their goods and picked one out that has potentials to hit sales targets/has enough brand recognition.
You know that whatever they produce is going to be doing nothing more than wearing a skinsuit of the games that came before at best.

I dont get it, Diablo 3 has items that fundamentally change skills such as adding effects to skills, such as AOE effect to non AOE skill or increase minion count. Diablo 2 has +2 to the only skill you ever use.
How is it that Diablo 2 is considered to have better itemization?
