What's it like? Always looks really ugly.
pretty fun, I really liked the multiplayer from saints row 1 and 2 and since they said frick multiplayer after sr2, this is the closest thing to it. I didn't even know you could make your own maps so I found some good ones that people play that are just like normal free-for-all deathmatch instead of the br shit, but the br stuff is alright too. i had to turn off voice completely because basically every match literally has little kids on the mic obviously. and everyone tries really fricking hard so it's pretty fun and kinda nice to see that the game is competitive and not just gay autistic shit like minecraft seemed like which I never played. also has fricking goku, alien, and other epic boomer shit.

The building is too schizo for me, it seems cool at first to make a base and defend it but I guess you’re supposed to zoom build a small structure to get the high ground and blast people that way. It does seem kinda funny to know Goku is fighting Rick Sanchez before Thanos shows up or whatever, like a weird fever dream of pop culture
the only reason I tried it is because I found out they added modes without building and then I found out that you can turn off building and make your own custom maps so it's pretty goated. I completely understand not wanting to frick with the building, I didn't even have any of the building keys binded when I started playing for a couple months. idk exactly how many months i've been playing now, maybe like 7 and I've only very recently been sort of dabbling in some building modes and editing and that stuff, the thing is i don't think I would ever want to mainly play the build modes but it's fun to do sometimes for sure. I could possibly see my opinion changing if I got really good at the building, but I think I'll always play the no build modes too and dunno if I really ever wanna spaz out like that constantly while playing the way you have to when you build.
also I just wanna add if I ever feel like spazzing out like that I already have a high apm game I play which is smash bros melee kek. will also add that Ganker fricking HATED!!!! fricking despised melee tournygays EVEN before fricking brawl came out.
and yeah you use the building for high ground, and as cover/like a shield, and you can like edit a wall really fast to put a hole/window in the wall and shoot someone with a shotgun which is one of the really popular tactics and it's pretty fun not gonna lie. i thought it was going to be gay as frick too but we were wrong bros...
same, I was conditioned to hate it by posts online without really trying it myself. It's actually pretty fun.
It's also one of the few GaaS where battlepass isn't total cancer to grind through.
I'm so behind on vidya that I haven't even played any other game with a battle pass despite hearing that basically every game has one now
going against what I just said count yourself lucky you haven't it is the most contradictory concept I have ever seen. I seriously prefer loot boxes over this crap unless they're able to be completed in about 2-5 days time.
You and me both, OP. I played it back in the early seasons only because my friends asked me to. I thought it was okay but I never got really into it until recently and now it’s my main MP game.
After I got into Fortnite again I just stopped buying battle passes in Apex and I was a day one player in that. Fortnite just has so much more worthwhile shit to keep playing for and the BPs shits all over Apex’s

I suck it up and play mainly H3, Reach and 4 multiplayer, very rarely do I find CE or H2 (non anniversary) matches
However singleplayer wise, its CE > 2 > ODST > 3 > Reach > Infinite > 4 > 5
I don't even remember the campaigns to be honest, I only played multi because back then everyone around here was all about halo multi then halo 2 on xbox live was gg. it was like the only game here. lol I remember my friend went to tournaments and outpistoled strongside and we were little kids and I unironically went to mlg back in the day to watch my friends play and drank tons of dr. peppers cuz some b***hes would give you them constantly. it was like you don't have a fricking dr. pepper? take one NOW.

Fortnite is probably the only modern game that you can just drop in and out of at will and where you don't have some meta-progression tedium or spreadsheet build autism. You just play the game how you like as much or little as you like. It's literally boomer game.
