Play Skyrim on literally anything else, seriously. That's the worst possible way to play the game, you'll find out why after 20 hours of playing the game on PS3.
iirc the ps3 version still has that bug where your save file gets larger and larger which makes your loading times longer to point where it takes 3 mins to an area or the ps3 crashes so hard requiring you to pull the plug.

Unless your laptop was made in 2010 you'll have a better time playing Skyrim on it than the PS3.

I had 2007 laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 and 8600M GT, and in the long run it still offered better experience than PS3 version, just because it had more than 256MB of RAM

Do you have custom firmware? If not that's the first thing you should do because the online store is fucked and used PS3 game prices are all over the place. Once you've done that download these games

Is it really that bad? I'm playing DeS and in the Lord's Path (1-2) (when the dragon passes) I'm getting 15fps. It sucks, but I'm counting on going away when I kill that fucker.
you’re wasting your money if you don’t hack it, put an SSD in it and load it with ISOs from the internet archive. it may not be exactly smooth sailing. there’ll be troubleshooting to do but you should invest the time because you will be able to play ANYTHING because all the games have been dumped on archive.org (the internet archive).
