>yeah the high level tech is so fun bros.. wait where is everyone going? come back!
i am not playing a sword game without directional inputs. the genie is out
I played this recently and I keep dying for reasons I'm not completely sure about, can someone help a zoomer out to enjoy the game? When it works it's pretty fun but it's kinda janky
You really should, especially for a first playthrough, or you will spend the later part of the game camping around instant kick traps to deal with the sponges
I don't know what is going on with the hitboxes in this game but goblins will regularly hit you from like 5m away if they start the animation while you're close to them. The shit is jank.
this game's incredibly good first person combat overshadow it's other qualities. it also has abn excellent soundtrack, very good art direction, good level design from a gameplay and aesthetic/photographic perspective, a lot of hidden stuff that rewards exploring levels sometimes in way deeper that youd expect and a bunch of aesthetic /game design decisions that are quite good in general
PC wise it's one of the easiest game to get into, one that i woudl recommend the most playing. its very difficult for any person to not enjoy playing this if you like pc games. it's simply unbelieveably good for what it is and how much it is known. they could probably resell this game right now just by rehiring the texture artists and updating texture resolution
Melee combat itself wasn't exceedingly refined, Zeno Clash can be more tense and engaging in duels or group fights. What elevated it were the variety of playstyles, superb presentation, and, of course, the use of physics.
All the environmental shenanigans wouldn't be as comedic without the sincere, skilled art direction and excellent sound work, and wouldn't be as meaningful and satisfying without all the available options and a fair bit of challenge.
>kickspam to win
>good
>implying that's the only thing you can do
>implying kicking isn't fun anyway
>mordhau
>good

>what is mordhau
trash, which is why it died in like 2 months of release
>call of duty introduced killstreaks back in mw1
>no one else has ever copied the system since
>>best 1st person melee combat system
Chivalry/Mordhau > Dark Messiah

Dishonored combat was better
OP here, sorry i meant vermintide
Controllers
same fight with m&kb
Looks more like you just don't know how to use a controller
Go ahead and post some "pro" footage played with controller of DM, you can use whatever source you want.
>post some "pro" footage played with controller of DM
You didn't post pro footage with a mouse, and no that webm ITT is not "pro"
Extremely predictable ad pathetic response.
Ah yes the time where every game had eye searing bloom on by default
Also whats with all the Dark messiah threads lately?
It was on the steam halloween sale for like $3.

I hope you're playing on normal

All in a buggy engine that crashes every 20 minutes because of a memory leak they haven't fixed in whenever it came out to now.

I would say Dying Light is the spiritual successor.
