Best Detective/Mystery Games

What are the best (or your favorite) detective/mystery games, Ganker?

Anything with a story based around solving a case or mystery and playing as a detective/investigator of some kind (doesn't have to strictly be police) counts.
Can be narrative or puzzle-focused; a more grounded story, one that leans into the supernatural, or anywhere in between.
Bonus points for dark and psychological thriller aspects or murder cases.

Famicom Tantei Club II on SNES - kind of an old game so it will feel a little outdated (pixel hunting at times) but the OST and the soul in this game make up for these "issues".

Ace Attorney, 428, Hotel Dusk, Famicom Tantei Club II. Check out Paranormasight too, it’s awesome.

Nobody ever mentions it, so chances are you probably haven't played it, but Murdered: Soul Suspect was pretty cool for a playthrough.

    Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy is pretty good.

    And obviously L.A. Noire.

I know Farenheit shits itself at the halfway point, I heard LA Noire shits itself at the end?

Yeah it turns into an action game where you run around the LA sewers with a flamethrower setting random goons on fire. But the murder cases suck too, you keep arresting different people that end up being innocent because it turns out to be an un-yet seen serial killer doing them all, except the game punishes you for figuring that out and not trying to send obviously innocent people to the gas chamber. The other cases are good though, especially arson.

Obra Dinn, a Hand With Many Fingers and INFRA are great. I heard good things about the Painscreek Killings but have never played it.
