>best Zelda
She was overshadowed by a fucking imp, best Zeldas are Skyward Sword and Spirit Tracks
shit taste
Meant for
actual shit taste in full display. At least you didn't say Tetra
I like Tetra but honestly a lot of 3D Zeldas are pretty good, and Spirit Tracks Zelda is just plain superior to Tetra
I got the impression he meant 'having the best dungeons makes this the best Zelda game' not 'this has both the best dungeons and best iteration of Princess Zelda'
It was, and that miniboss was the only good part of it.
Midna was pretty much Aonuma’s mary sue OC. It was so bad that even Link got overshadowed as the protagonist of the game. Go watch the final showdown and you’ll notice that Ganon’s focus is more on Midna than on Link. Link is just Midna’s gimp.
That isn't what Mary Sue means at all.
She’s still a shitty borderline self-insert that everyone pays attention to in the story, even over established characters.
pretty sure OP means it’s the best Zelda game because it has the best dungeons
Skyward Sword has the best dungeons in a 3D Zelda tbh, the problem is everything else in Skyward Sword.
>Best Zelda
Lol no. She's one of the worst
I honestly can't really remember the Skyward Sword dungeons, apart from the ghost ship where you fight the undead hero. Was that even a dungeon?
The desert and snow dungeons were great, the rest were shit that just dragged on.
Agreed. Fun bosses for being a Zelda game too. Ancient Cistern is my favorite dungeon of the whole series.
The bosses in SS were also pretty great.
>Ghirafag 3 times
>Imprisoned 3 time
Fuck off retard.
an overlooked problem with skyward sword was the godawful music. like, thinking for a second, you might be right about the dungeons being good? but the music in them was the worst shit ever so when I think of "good dungeons" my mind overlooks them because I'm just thinking of how the soundtrack made me think "ugh, this is such a slog" while I was doing it.
It has some of the more neat ideas when you are in the sand sea but the execution is usually bad. You can really tell that they wanted to have Link time travel to modern day Japan with a gun, given how much polish is on the time shift stone stuff and practically nothing else. Outside of the sand sea you just have some middling dungeons with awful execution.
The problem with the dungeons is that they still fall into the "everything else" of SS.
>Skyward Sword has the best dungeons in a 3D Zelda tbh
the volcano ones suck and put SS under TP for dungeons. I'd also put it below OoT
Release it for the Switch, you Jap cunts.
>best dungeons
They're good, but I don't think they're the best.
Some of them are kinda mid and Realm of Twilight is awful.
No, these are the best Zelda games.
Counterpoint: Oracle of Ages is a fucking terrible game
Yeah, if he meant "best zelda game" then I'm not going to argue much, it was a pretty good zelda game
>Oracle of Ages is a fucking terrible game
What the fuck did you just fucking say?
Not that anon, but I just beat it last night for the first time.
It's super charming, but it's really unfun to play. It's nothing but backtracking. I'm worried Seasons will be worse.
Seasons is a better game, much better dungeons
Seasons is by far the superior game. Despite being intended as Oracles being the puzzle/exploration game and Seasons being mroe combat focused Seasons ended up being a much better rounded Zelda game while Oracles ended up extremely boring.
Season is much better.
>Oracle of Ages is a fucking terrible game
biggest indicator of someone having double digit iq
Ah, TP. The game that made me never get hyped for a game ever again. I guess it did me a favor, in a way.
Amazing, every word of that was incorrect
The dungeons are only aesthetically the best, and Zelda doesn't even have that
TP has THE most forgettable and outright BAD dungeons in the entire series. Only the Snowpeak is an exception.
On top of that, TP's pacing is pure garbage, Midna is worse forced handholding partner than Fi and Navi combined, the story and characters are extremely half-baked, and the open world is a literal definition of empty.
>Midna is worse forced handholding partner than Fi and Navi combined
I can see you thinking this if you played the SS remaster but by definition Midna can not be worse than anything in SS vanilla because you have to sit through all of the slow text crawl in SS and can't skip any cutscenes.
MASTER YOUR BATTERY IS LOW PLEASE CHARGE YOUR BATTER
but that isn't the heckin' honkin' breath of the wino
Twilight Princess could easily be a top tier Zelda with some tweaks and slight changes. A lot of its flaws are dumb superficial shit like the intro being way too drawn out.
Makes no sense why they didnt port this to Switch so BOTW zoomers could play it.
Why doesn't Zelda turn into a bitch?
>5 hr tutorial
>bug hunting
>wolf sections
>Terrible pacing
>Ganondorf was behind it all!
>Just as easy as Wind Waker
>Dull ugly version of OoT
>Terrible Anime story
>Useless items
Worst 3D Zelda.
>frothing degenerate rant where the absolute shittiest opinions possible just pour out of your mouth one after another
> Best dungeons
They are garbage. You're not navigating a dungeon, you're just solving room after room. It's like if you played Breath of The Wild shrines in sequence. Keys are just there to keep you on track instead of being secrets to find so you can advance further into the dungeon. You never hold more than 1 key at a time in TP. Compare that to the dungeons in A link to the past where you would hold multiple keys at once. You had to be aware of the layout of the dungeons in ALTTP. You had to figure out which way to proceed.
Half of this post was written by me in another thread some week ago, wtf AI?
You forgot best bosses and best Ganon too.
Not even a TPfag, but TP Ganondorf's design was kino. Easily his best look.
>played Oracle of Ages and Seasons a decade ago
>can't remember a thing about them
I remember the windmill guy somewhere and like a triceratops named Dimitri. Time for a replay
midna
OP here, wrong pic sorry.
Only good dungeon in that game is the desert prison.
It's maybe the most mediocre mainline zelda game.
I'd argue the Snow Mansion too. But yeah, other than Arbiters and that one...that's it.
Not when you're basically fucking invincible for the entire game.
So why did Ganker start shilling trash (the DS titles) as "good games"?
Because tendies need to have at least 1 zelda thread in Ganker and they were running out of topics
Fuck off contrarians. DS games were good.
natural consequence of ww zoomers growing up
Find something wrong with wind waker that isn't some retarded strawman argument.
Link says "come on" which totally and completes breaks the silent stoic hero link and I can't self insert myself as link because of it so it is objectively a bad game and ruined Zelda for me forever
>calls wind waker bad
>when bore of the wild exists
DS zeldas suck but they were still better than wind waker
>Coolest Link
>Coolest Dungeons
>Coolest Cutscenes
>Coolest Ganondorf
>Best horse combat
>Best music in the series
>Best companion
>Hidden Village old western kino
>Mentor Hero of Time
We really were spoiled with this game.
That's not OOT tho.
Switch port when? It's not fair that the fucking Wii U got it instead of the Switch.
It’s gonna be a $40 overhaul akin to Prime
replaying Skyward Sword right now and it's honestly a good game. The dungeons are all fun, the game is streamlined and doesn't drag anywhere, the characters are honestly good. You actually care for Zelda for once and Groose is 100% loose.
>streamlined
The entire sky area is pointless padding with no sense of scale or direction. Goddess cubes make you open every treasure chest twice. Everything with The Imprisoned is tedious. The obsession with motion controls makes every mook a directional blocking puzzle that feels gimmicky and shallow.
>doesn't drag anywhere
the fuck? The opening itself drags on forever, never mind the other bullshit the game adds which you probably haven't encountered yet
>replaying Skyward Sword right now and it's honestly a good game.
this until you reach the 50% mark and you have to play the same game again
is it worth it on switch?
Not full price, no.
The Switch version was great. It changed only a few things, but those changes vastly improved the game.
>Coolest bosses
>Bosses are so easy you can beat them playing with your toes
Damned shame
>Bosses are so easy you can beat them playing with your toes
this applies to every single zelda game, they really need proper hard modes
Nintendo didn't even want to make TP.
Nonsense
did you know wind waker was aonuma's vision for zelda but when asked what his favorite titles were in 2014, he named twilight princess among the list but not WW
He also said his favorite zelda was phantom hourglass soooo…
PH is better than WW
Some years ago I’d probably disagree, but BotW ruined 3-D Zelda forever so I agree now.
The only weak 3-D game besides BotW was Wind Waker, those dungeons were awful.
Ocarina, MM, TP, SS had plenty of good dungeons.
agreed
>worst gimmick
>worst items
>worst story
>worst progression
i was a zelda fanboy who wa sure i was going to buying every zelda game until the day i died but this zelda turned me off the series. when it came time to buy the next console i said why bother zelda isnt even good anymore.
Can they please port TP and WW to the Switch?
have a nice day with your shit taste. Twilight Princess is absolute dogshit
Twilight Princess is garbage. Genuinely the first time I felt I was playing a soulless game
