Minish cap would be sweet if it had a second half to the game
When I played it I genuinely thought the final dungeon was the “midpoint” like in other Zelda games
You go around get 3 or 4 Mcguffins in some easier simpler dungeons as like an extended tutorial, then you come back to the castle and some story stuff happens and then you go to the dark world or through time or twilight or whatever and then do the 5-7 real dungeons
But no it just ends. Credits roll I genuinely expected another chunk of game, it felt like it was just getting off the ground and then poof it’s over
This thread is about good looking games, not about whether the games themselves are good. FRLG aren't visually impressive in any way, and I'd go as far as to say they look pretty mediocre for GBA games.
Suggesting that they're "The Best Looking GBA Games" when their contemporaries included Minish Cap (only two months apart) is just fucking delusional.
Golden Sun was perhaps the best GBA game I never played. The commercials were enough to show how stunning the games were, but I never got around to playing them.
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.
Because of this, the game suffered heavily in the music department because they didn't keep cartridge limitations in mind. Good job Iga.
The team that made CotM should've made another game.
>Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.
anon, he said "best looking"
that is definitely not HoD
the music is bad in it due to the composition, not the limitations, you wouldn't call NES CV music bad would you?
Minish Cap even if I think it's the weakest 2d Zelda

Don't forget the useless mirror shield being the only post-game content.
It was good enough for 14-year-old me to bother finishing.
The soundtrack was the best thing about the game.
Anything made by Brownie Brown is certainly up there.
Yeah, was just about to mention Sword of Mana.
Very pretty game, although I prefer the original gameplay wise.
The original sucks balls super overrated nostalgia here
I actually played it after SoM, so it's certainly not nostalgia.
harmony of dissonance
Chain of Memories has the best alpha effects on the system
Mario vs DK looked good at the time, Street Fighter 2 was very well done.
porkyman remakes unironically look pretty good
lol no
>grrr POPULAR THING BAD
So you're pretty much admitting you think the games look good only because they're popular? All right then.

LMAO
You just took a screenshot of the intro.
Here's footage of the game, since screenshots can't do it justice. Has a soundtrack that rivals the very best of the Amiga
Actual 3D (not pre-rendered/isometric/raycasting) game on GBA.
Wow it almost looks like a shitty sega saturn game!
*shitty 32x
While impressive, it looks like shit.
It'd probably look better on a non-backlit GBA screen or frontlit GBA SP screen.
Asterix & Obelix XXL, it uses software rendering for the 3D levels. Characters and objects are 2D sprites
Is this runescape?
Drill Dozer, Metroid Fusion, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, Wario Land 4, and WarioWare: Twisted! are all strong contenders
The Boktai games have light sensors, making them among the only games that can functionally LOOK.
Ergo, I would call them the best looking GBA games.
comments like this is why we dont invite you to hangout anymore anon
Oh wow, this will get top comment for sure!
proving the point once again
metroid fusion
Wario Land 4 has beautiful pixel art
Maya the bee
Doom 2
Duke Nukem
Klonoa 2
It's been mentioned before, but Sword of Mana.
>the first game to introduce the shitty font Squeenix would use all through the GBA/DS era
>good
Nah, fuck Sword of Mana.
You seem upset about something that is barely relevant to most normal people, sword of mana looks really good
Nah, the screen tearing definitely ruins it
Zero mission
Golden Sun games and Summon Night Swordcraft Story games both look impressive.
No I will not post an image.
Golden Sun was perhaps the best GBA game I never played. The commercials were enough to show how stunning the games were, but I never got around to playing them.
Tomb Raider
I've played this game before and it's really fun imo

Easy. Sword of mana.
Lady Sia looked pretty nice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tgmOZKWJY4
Also, I too wish Sword of Mana didn't have that terrible sprite tearing.
Golden Sun in still beautiful.
Metroid Fusion.
