You know, it's pretty weird that we don't have a triple-AAA horror game based off of alien encounters, abductions and high strangeness events yet. That entire phenomenon is ripe for that kind of shit yet not a single notable developer has taken advantage of it.
Isn't this "game" just spyware?
I remember downloading the demo for it and it wouldn't fricking close, ate a frickton of my memory while it was running too.
If they're so smart why are they making it so fricking obvious they exist? >inb4 hurr they don't care
Then why don't they reveal themselves? >inb4 hurr the government knows
I don't mean the government. I mean the world. What reason do they have to hide?
>They have no reason to be afraid if they're so intelligent.
They wouldn't be afraid, they just want to observe and learn about us without interfering.
Kind of how we do with wild ape troops.
What if UFOs are just ayylmao drones or satelites ala the Voyager? The ayys are sending them out on an ai guided mission (say to survey various faraway planets) and they couldn't contact us if they wanted to because the drones don't have the capability or the distances between them and their drones are so great?
What if the ultimate goal of these experiments is to make contact, but even for an extremely advanced species it poses an almost impossible technical challenge?
These ones we see are obsolete and the worst thing is, they were sent so long ago the original senders were lost or moved on, so these drones send back signals to a species that's no longer there to hear them.
Also who knows if the ayylien civilisation who sent these things out even exists anymore? could've been wiped out thousands of years ago and their tech is still flying through space, doing whatever it was programmed to do?
Hell, why would ayyys personally visit Earth? Think about it. >Far as frick >Probably couldn't live in these atmospheric conditions/gravity >They would just send drones like you said >Considering they are capable of interstellar travel, these drones could probably even be invisible/intangible and would not even need to be directly in our planet, they could just 3D scan our whole world and virtually recreate it so that they can "visit" Earth in VR or something
If they're so smart why are they making it so fricking obvious they exist? >inb4 hurr they don't care
Then why don't they reveal themselves? >inb4 hurr the government knows
I don't mean the government. I mean the world. What reason do they have to hide?
Most likely explanation is aliens simply do not exist. Either nowhere in our observable corner of the galaxy or at all. Remember that everything we "observe" is far back in the past due to how long it takes for light to reach us from those distances.
But assuming they do exist and are capable of interstellar travel it'd be a fallacy to assume they are all singularly united in purpose. There could for example be a general prohibition on large scale diplomatic contact. But there's still dozens of independent groups ranging from curious scientists to joyriders who breach that to go look at the funny pink bipeds.
Because they are us. 99% of the ships you see are human made/pioleted. The grey aliens are ai drones made from cow flesh and the whole dependency on oil is fueling these richfricks to fly around and conduct psychology warfare all under the guise of lmaos. Real aliens don't care about us/they're more like parents. Subtle interference but they can't hold our hands; humans have to make it on our own but we can't. There's a reason the planet keeps getting wiped out by 'natural' disasters.
>Then why don't they reveal themselves?
you literally answered your own question, "they don't care"
do you reveal yourself to birds and squirrels every time your car goes through a forest?
In the late 1940s and early 50s, before there were any spy planes or spy satellites, the US was trying to spy on the russian nuclear program. They decided to do it using high altitude balloons: they'd release them in the pacific loaded up with acoustic sensors, radiation detectors and cameras and stuff, they'd drift across the soviet union and they'd pick them up again in Europe, hopefully.
The US was also testing them in new Mexico and one of them crashed in a town called Roswell. The early MOGUL units were huge chains of balloons and instruments 600 ft long, the later ones were massive polyethylene balloons. None of them looked anything like weather balloons. The program was top secret and if the soviets knew about it they would intercept the balloons, so the US ran up the bullshit about flying saucers as cover.
Once spy planes and satellites came about they stopped the program, but if you see future/current UFO bullshit coming out of the military expect it's cover for more secret programs like stealth drones or something.
didn't the gov basically ruin some guys life because they convinced him the lights he was seeing in the desert were totally aliens and not experimental planes?

When you put this into a global perspective, this many cases around the world throughout human history, it's even more absurd to just call them hoax, some cases even Left evidence, radiation burn, dent mark caused by landing gear, etc. There was definitely some happened. it also makes absolutely no sense for a classified stealth project to fly over one of the largest populations in the country at low altitude, it also made no sound despite said low altitude. can't just be a jet

Yeah, but pilots live to frick with people
>A Maryland Air National Guard pilot, Lt. Col. Ed Jones, responding to a March 2007 media query, confirmed that he had flown one of the aircraft in the formation that dropped flares on the night in question.[21] The squadron to which he belonged was in fact at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona, on a training exercise at the time and flew training sorties to the Goldwater Range on the night in question, according to the Maryland Air National Guard. A history of the Maryland Air National Guard published in 2000 asserted that the squadron, the 104th Fighter Squadron, was responsible for the incident.[22] The first reports that members of the Maryland Air National Guard were responsible for the incident were published in The Arizona Republic in July 1997.[23] >Military flares[24][25] such as these can be seen from hundreds of miles given ideal environmental conditions. Later comparisons with known military flare drops were reported on local television stations, showing similarities between the known military flare drops and the Phoenix Lights.[5][6] An analysis of the luminosity of LUU-2B/B illumination flares, the type which would have been in use by A-10 aircraft at the time, determined that the luminosity of such flares at a range of approximately 50–70 miles would fall well within the range of the lights viewed from Phoenix.[19]
no it wasn't a B-2, and it also wasn't what morons claim it was. we've had the explanation within months of the sighting. /x/ gays just don't want to let it go.
those flares were dropped hours after the craft was originally seen - there's a decent amount of footage of the flares because people were out with cameras after the initial sighting. it's clearly not a craft, you can see that they move and the points of light are not consistent, because they're flares. it's completely seperate from the original incident that night. read more about this

yes, Unidentified Flying Objects are real. that was never in doubt. the problem is that your dumbass thinks the pentagon's definition of a UFO is an alien ship.
for months navy ships were harassed and spied on by an unknown type of drone at sea. those were UFOs.
Yes. Blackbird was a secret for 30 years before anyone knew about it, now it is "decommissioned" despite still officially being the fastest spy plane in history? Lol no, they had a replacement for it 30 years ago that is still classified. That was "tic-tac".
The technology we get to see is the rotting crumbs dropped off of what they're playing with.
It was right around or after sunset on a completely overcast day. It was a huge black shadow, oblong-shaped, moving rapidly through the clouds. Couldn't have been a plane or helicopter because there were no lights, and it was moving much too fast; plus, there was no sound like an airplane flying overhead would make.
>dad has been watching reality tv about alaska and talks like everyone lives in the woods >now ancient aliens, alaska edition >tried to convince me of a 600ft tall black pyramid buried in alaska that aliens use to refuel their ships
I am starting to hate that state...
I love this game and I wish we had more FPS games riding off of 90s/early 2000s UFO weirdness. Too bad the original XCOM remake got turned from a Bioshock-inspired squad shooter to an identity-crisis tactical TPS. I wouldn't have minded a more linear XCOM title if we also had Firaxis' Enemy Unknown to enjoy at roughly the same time.
I dont give a shit about the universe I only care about my family.

fricking morons
we came early, theres no ayys advanced enough to space travel yet let alone reach us in our local void
the precursors are us
lets say you are right
why would we go and show ourselves to some aliens in the future when we can see how they evolve/make technolgy different and learn new things?
Other civilizations would be nice, but my true dream is that planets with life are relatively abundant. Let's hope that that James Webb reveals something on this soon.
how do I get into the military and work with top secret bleeding edge tech that literally only a handful of people in the world even know about for decades?

Hello, secret government agent.
UFO episodes are my favourite JRE's. The stuff Bob Lazar says is crazy. There was also the episode with the lumber man who was abducted.
Lex Fridman has some good episodes too

you should just watch the documentary "The Phenomenon"

Jolly Roman Empires?
lazar and that guy (trevor something? i think his story is what communion is based on) are both full of shit though
Yeah they do sound full of shit. There was the other guy with the ranch who's a millionaire. That sounded more dodgy.
Bob Lazar is basically an experiment on false memories. The guy suspiciously gets headaches when remembering about UFOs.

I did saw fricked up lights over my city like 5 years ago. It was during a storm so you could explain that as lighting.
>I did saw
Well I guess what's more fricked up is my english.
Good morning sir
>i did saw
The south, moronation, and UFO sightings
I was just sawing wood right at that moment.

>boomer talking
>no practical evidence
Ok, zoomer.
The real QRD on Elizondo
Bonus video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmLE0X5FRFc
>dad has been watching reality tv about alaska and talks like everyone lives in the woods
>now ancient aliens, alaska edition
>tried to convince me of a 600ft tall black pyramid buried in alaska that aliens use to refuel their ships
I am starting to hate that state...
Ancient Aliens are kino
Ancient Aliens is the mcdonalds of ufo content, nobody should subject themselves to it.
It's made and marketed towards john normie boomers
Ancient Aliens make me laugh, in contrary to McDonalds. It's just so goofy.
Ancient Aliens - Aliens and the Third Reich was a fun watch. The rest of that show is pretty tripe.
how do you mistake alaska for antarctic
Ask him, i dont watch that shit. All they do is take religion and replace god with ALIENS!?
Beware of looking too closely and discovering knowledge that people in your life will consider ridiculous.
Truth is loneliness
sexo
Easy
I love this game and I wish we had more FPS games riding off of 90s/early 2000s UFO weirdness. Too bad the original XCOM remake got turned from a Bioshock-inspired squad shooter to an identity-crisis tactical TPS. I wouldn't have minded a more linear XCOM title if we also had Firaxis' Enemy Unknown to enjoy at roughly the same time.
It's scarier to think we're alone in the universe.
it's scarier to think there's a more advanced species that wants our resources or organic matter
a whole universe to peacefully colonize is not scary.
Stop being pussies.
No, not really. Stop being a 3deep5me brainlet.
>he thinks thats scary
humanity is getting milked soon
>POV: modern woman who just found out she's pregnant
even if you aren't a woman , why would you want to raise a kid ? so you have no money? no freedom?
I dont give a shit about the universe I only care about my family.
Go to twitter right now imagine if alien was just 6 billion more people with shitty opinions except they were green with antennas. No frick that it dont matter.
How do you even make a game around ufo's?
Like, the concept is cool but what would the gameplay be like?
Signal Simulator is quite relaxing.
>where muh ayys???
fricking morons
we came early, theres no ayys advanced enough to space travel yet let alone reach us in our local void
the precursors are us
lets say you are right
why would we go and show ourselves to some aliens in the future when we can see how they evolve/make technolgy different and learn new things?
Other civilizations would be nice, but my true dream is that planets with life are relatively abundant. Let's hope that that James Webb reveals something on this soon.
>James Webb reveals something
Lol never
Okay, doomer.
I've heard good things about Signal Simulator, but Voices of the Void, a game inspired by it, seems more enjoyable to me.
how do I get into the military and work with top secret bleeding edge tech that literally only a handful of people in the world even know about for decades?
that sounds cool as frick
Be very smart and/or have connections.
>kurt russell just happened to be flying a plane in the vicinity while this was going on
Yea bros neill de grass tyson and bill nye told me it was mass hysteria nothing to see here
XCOM 2 WOTC
The X-Files FMV adventure game
Perfect Dark
>get abducted by the starmen from earthbound
>X-Com
>Signal Simulator
>Xenonauts
>Area 51
Simulator
didnt this get abandoned
they ruined it a bit with the banner
but the demo is still peak ayy atmosphere
>the universe is arguably 13 billion years old
>not even 0.1% of the time passed until the last star dies out
>we might be the first intelligent race
or there was another race active for some 200.000 years in another galaxy 50 millions years ago
the universe is just too big and the timescales too long for two races to ever meet
