>But Dawn of War is like the worst 40k game.
Tell me you've never played any 40k games without telling me you've never played any 40k games. There are depths of shit far deeper than anywhere the Dawn of War series had any hope of plunging.
This is that shitty nu-XCOM-like right?
Where you can shoot pillars to make them fall and all that shit
I didn't like it, just like Mechanicus, it just felt fricking flat
40K should be anything but flat, it should be fricking balls to the walls crazy and over the top, like Dawn of War 1 voice acting and non-stop action
Why can't devs just understand that
Mechanicus is the only title that transcends just being a good game by 40k standards, the rest are all nostalgiab8 and paypiggies getting their little nipples twisted by Games Workshop and thanking them for the pleasure
i thought space marine was way too dumbed down. what about Ultimate Apocalypse? it seems like a dawn of war dream come true, and they never stop updating
Another default space marine game, nah, I pass.
>Best 40k game since Dawn of War
But Dawn of War is like the worst 40k game. If you'd said 'since sanctus reach' I might be inclined to listen

Haha ok that's fair

sounds like you didn't play it
>Didn't like Mechanicus
Why do you think you get to have an opinion now?
Mechanicus is the only title that transcends just being a good game by 40k standards, the rest are all nostalgiab8 and paypiggies getting their little nipples twisted by Games Workshop and thanking them for the pleasure
>didn't like Mechanicus
Found the subhuman
Yup, finished it twice, amazing game.
Hopefully we get some dlc, hopefully with added content and/or playing as the Death Guard.
Chaos Gate and Battlesector are the only shining lights when it comes to strategy 40k for me.
>love 40K universe
>hate turn based strategy
I was born to suffer. 40K open world woth space travel when?
>>hate turn based strategy
You deserve it
It's boring and dull. I like living, breathing, world's. You can't immerse yourself in a TBS and they're for casuals who need time to think.
Idk what to tell you it's literally entirely based on a bunch of toys you pretend shoot each other each turn lol
>Astra Militarium
Dropped.
Why are people so afraid of leveraging the IP for something other than yet another turn-based game?
Space marine was a buggy mess but a reasonably successful SP experience. The only black sheep is dow3 which pretty much allagree was trash.
They could have just added nexrons and tau to dow2. Hate dow3 and tired of RTT stuff. Simple as.
i thought space marine was way too dumbed down. what about Ultimate Apocalypse? it seems like a dawn of war dream come true, and they never stop updating
WHERE'S THE BLOODY HORUS HERESY GSG?
Battlefleet Gothic Armada is a good one. 2nd one is questionable if you're a casual player like me but there's custom difficulty options
