DLC2 is not affected by difficulty scaling. You want my advice, play on difficulty 9. Two thirds through the base game you'll be OP as frick. It'll also help you throughout DLC3 since you won't have to grinde to survive it

Yes I know that you can already disable spells and store weapons/consumables you don't need, but until you figure out every single boss, it's safer to take everything just in case you need something you don't normally use. I was sweating so much in the final DLC3 fight just scrolling through the weapons list over and over while the boss was btfoing me.
That marginally helps but you still got to memorize the placement of every relevant item and equipment to make it faster. Better way would be to make the menus smaller somehow.

The Mental Ward isn't a real hospital. It is a Black personman creation used by Black personmen to take humans and change them into characters. First by Leaf then by TCO. The "doctors" were trying to change the girl away from being Dorothy so we can conclude these are not from the brainwashing pre-BS1 as Leaf's goal was to make a regular person Dorothy. TCO gets the Ward and White Rooms and uses it to try and turn Dorothy into another character. The doctors have trouble and are unable to which is why we find Dorothy still there. Dorothy stayed true to Grimm and fought to the very end
We don't know that for sure. The Mental Ward reports are about the girl Dorothy plucked from Leaf's world and resisting attempted brainwashing in white rooms by TCO. Pre-BS1 Dorothy is a complete unknown

Honestly, getting candy isn't that hard. You can easily farm souls by abusing the Storm Ruler on the SEN 0 enemies on Difficulty 9. 10-15 fights later, you'll be drowning in candy

I consider the first game to be an interesting experiment. It's not necessarily a good game, but it has some enjoyable elements (exploration) and a really good ending (note: just like in Drakengard games, you need to get all endings to get the full story)

Once you defeat the final boss, the game puts you back in the hub area until you start a new cycle (there's a crystal on the top screen which you can use) You will be able to get all endings.

Bandersnatch is easily the weakest out of the three. I liked Jabberwocky in the beginning, with a soft spot for Jub Jub. And after ending G, Jub Jub became my favorite

Last time I got to the black thing, I went my whole playtrhough without changing my style, just making magic stronger and rotating the strongest spells while using the Demon Catalyst and the Andor Sword for more turns. Never understood what the deal was with the Angel weapon, but I used it to kill the Lion, what's special about Gla'akid, is ignoring defense that good?
God's Angels is a gimmick weapon. With each use of its normal attack you increase your basic attack count up to 7 attacks per normal attack action. Combine it with multiple actions per turn, buffs and weapon switching for maximum slice and dicing. You could argue that Bander's Sword is a better option for "waste time to charge weapon for frick you damage" but it requires turns to charge, not actions.
Yes, I remember being BTFO by No Face (black thing) because I dealt too little damage with my Hans Machine Gun. I think its defence is just overtuned. Gla'akid allowed me to kill it in one turn
God's Angels is one of the best weapons in the game. Every turn you swing it, you increase the number of swings next turn by one, and you get a frickhueh ATK buff on top of that. You just need to make sure to swing it at least once per turn. And if you >swing it >change weapon >do whatever
You'll swing 7 times with the scaling of the last-equipped weapon - those can include the anchor (200% ATK), Uchigatana (100% crit) or Gla'akid (def penetration)
Also, if you have, say, 4 actions per turn, you can swing God's Angels thrice before you have to switch your weapon, for a total of 21 attacks per turn
Majority of phases can be trivialized with Heroic Vorpal's skill spam (forgot the name, it is that one which cycles between 2-3 hits). The Prison and No Face are DPS races, ideally dealt with fully charged God's Angels. Final form has parts which would overwhelm you by the barrage of skills, so try to kill one part per party's turn
RRW not really mandatory. I would recommend it after BS1. It would answer a couple of questions while raising more in return. It is also referenced multiple times in BS2.
Sure, just try not to bounce off too hard from RRW. It has practically no redeemable traits, it's not a representative of the series as a whole. There's a reason you see anons recommend you skip it
Reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland before BS2 would be a better use of your time, it affects BS2 lore much more than RRW does

Same gist as BS, full of vague dialogue and being on your own to piece the story together. You get dropped into a world that's about to end, find out why and how. Blue haired girl tells you that four demonic angels plummeted the world to its destruction and is out to hunt them so you can start by helping her killing them, but I'm still lost on the details. The most notable gimmick is that your protagonist is aware to how all the girls feel like NPCs. When you rape them they are completely apathetic or unaware as if they weren't programmed to react to being raped, so another thing you want to do is find out how to fix them if you want to use them as anything more than onaholes
Should have also mentioned that combat is pretty much replicated entirely, weapon switching, abilities that don't consume stuff and 4 rings. Spells and items are all different in small ways though

And, according to Paradise Lost, all the pagan gods are just fallen angels taking in those guises, partially in an attempt to make Man fall, partially to regain a part of their former glory. Similarly, these Outer Ones could be fallen angels, lead by Satan/Milton. Their ghoul production facility could be in preparation for revenge against the Almighty (Azathoth?)

Yes I know that you can already disable spells and store weapons/consumables you don't need, but until you figure out every single boss, it's safer to take everything just in case you need something you don't normally use. I was sweating so much in the final DLC3 fight just scrolling through the weapons list over and over while the boss was btfoing me.

TCO gets the Ward and White Rooms and uses it to try and turn Dorothy into another character. The doctors have trouble and are unable to which is why we find Dorothy still there. Dorothy stayed true to Grimm and fought to the very end

I consider the first game to be an interesting experiment. It's not necessarily a good game, but it has some enjoyable elements (exploration) and a really good ending (note: just like in Drakengard games, you need to get all endings to get the full story)
BS2 is where things really take off and it's an improvement upon the first game in practically all aspects
Also DS1 is a pretty easy game. You can make your character overpowered very easily. Only 2 bosses are of any real challenge

Are all valid play orders. RRW is just not a very good game and there's barely any lore. Go into it with the expectation of "I want to see how much EMMM improved over the years"
Once you defeat the final boss, the game puts you back in the hub area until you start a new cycle (there's a crystal on the top screen which you can use) You will be able to get all endings.
If you're too worried, you can save just before the final boss, get ending A, and go to the H-room to unlock every other ending

I really need to finish 2, got stuck at Grand Guignol, I dont understand at all what's going on, sometimes im alone and paralyzed but somehow survive several turns, other times my team is wiped almost immediatly and Grimm left to almost die out of nowhere.
Which phase are you stuck on? IIRC Black Face keeps ramping up its damage every turn, you gotta kill it fast. I recommend God's Angels + Gla'akid combo
Last time I got to the black thing, I went my whole playtrhough without changing my style, just making magic stronger and rotating the strongest spells while using the Demon Catalyst and the Andor Sword for more turns. Never understood what the deal was with the Angel weapon, but I used it to kill the Lion, what's special about Gla'akid, is ignoring defense that good?
God's Angels is a gimmick weapon. With each use of its normal attack you increase your basic attack count up to 7 attacks per normal attack action. Combine it with multiple actions per turn, buffs and weapon switching for maximum slice and dicing. You could argue that Bander's Sword is a better option for "waste time to charge weapon for frick you damage" but it requires turns to charge, not actions.
Yes, I remember being BTFO by No Face (black thing) because I dealt too little damage with my Hans Machine Gun. I think its defence is just overtuned. Gla'akid allowed me to kill it in one turn
God's Angels is one of the best weapons in the game. Every turn you swing it, you increase the number of swings next turn by one, and you get a frickhueh ATK buff on top of that. You just need to make sure to swing it at least once per turn. And if you

You'll swing 7 times with the scaling of the last-equipped weapon - those can include the anchor (200% ATK), Uchigatana (100% crit) or Gla'akid (def penetration)
Also, if you have, say, 4 actions per turn, you can swing God's Angels thrice before you have to switch your weapon, for a total of 21 attacks per turn
Majority of phases can be trivialized with Heroic Vorpal's skill spam (forgot the name, it is that one which cycles between 2-3 hits). The Prison and No Face are DPS races, ideally dealt with fully charged God's Angels. Final form has parts which would overwhelm you by the barrage of skills, so try to kill one part per party's turn

What is it about
Same gist as BS, full of vague dialogue and being on your own to piece the story together. You get dropped into a world that's about to end, find out why and how. Blue haired girl tells you that four demonic angels plummeted the world to its destruction and is out to hunt them so you can start by helping her killing them, but I'm still lost on the details. The most notable gimmick is that your protagonist is aware to how all the girls feel like NPCs. When you rape them they are completely apathetic or unaware as if they weren't programmed to react to being raped, so another thing you want to do is find out how to fix them if you want to use them as anything more than onaholes
Should have also mentioned that combat is pretty much replicated entirely, weapon switching, abilities that don't consume stuff and 4 rings. Spells and items are all different in small ways though

And, according to Paradise Lost, all the pagan gods are just fallen angels taking in those guises, partially in an attempt to make Man fall, partially to regain a part of their former glory. Similarly, these Outer Ones could be fallen angels, lead by Satan/Milton. Their ghoul production facility could be in preparation for revenge against the Almighty (Azathoth?)
