I don't say this about anything, but I don't really see how it's possible for TotK not to be amazing.
Same. They basically told me everything that I need to know already: that it's a direct sequel to BotW.
that game sucks though?
nah
not as bad as yo momma
I thought it was pretty good. One of my personal favorite games in the series.
it could suck if they don't add enough content and changes, and it ends up just being a more expensive BoTW dlc. I highly doubt this is the case though, clearly they're putting a lot of attention into the development considering how long it's taking
generally they only take this long after an announcement if the development is going through a lot of iterations because they want to make sure they'll deliver a good product, and now that we have a concrete release date we know that they're ready to deliver
last time they took forever to release a game we got BoTW, so I have no reason to be worried. and at least it didn't go through as bad of a development hell as Pikmin 4 or Prime 4
It solely depends on if they can some how sacrifice enough children to moloch to get him to use his powers to make it not run at 26 fps anytime you aren't looking directly down at the ground. The game was actually "finished" three years ago but optimisation for the shitty tablet is an absolute nightmare and if you take too many children too often people start asking questions.
Ryujinx.
Everyone knew BotW was gonna be good because at E3 everyone who played it talked about it like it changed their life. We've barely seen anything of this game. That's the big difference
There's nothing to get excited for currently. What they've shown so far looks like DLC.
Unless a big Zelda blowout happens in February, there's not much to be hopeful about this game. Maybe they really did frick all for 6 years.
I didn't care for BotW and the radio silence has rendered ToTK utterly stillborn for me. I've never been so uninterested in a Zelda in the nearly 25 years that I've been a fan.
OP here, basically feeling the same, that’s why I made this thread. So fricking weird how barebones the marketing has been for this, fermenting a considerable amount of anti-hype every week that goes by with zero update
its pretty sad that you need a constant dopamine drip to stay interested in something.
There's a difference between "constant dopamine drip" and "approximately 2 minutes of gameplay footage for a game that's been in development for 6 years and comes out in 4 months". The latter suggests laziness on Nintendo's part, they aren't even trying to sell this thing.
There's been less than 3 mins of footage in almost 4 years since the announcement, this game either has nothing new to show and they are banking on the "sequel" bait to drive sales or something horrible happened during development.
considering nu-tendo, it's the former
Or or or
They just want to wait to show it off in a full blowout event because theres no E3 to do that before release like there was for BOTW. Fricking moron
They could show it anytime if it's good to create hype. That they are trying to hide it says everything.
>BotW was clearly going to be good, everyone could tell that from the trailers.
Still coping after all this time must be tiresome man

Depends on whether they listen to the morons complaining about weapon durability and want to fill their inventory up with tons of weapons that they need to bring to a blacksmith at a stable/town, or weapon parts they get from breaking weapons to forge new ones, or any other idea that just doesn't work in BotW. Unless I can start the game, start running in a random direction and never stop until I reach the edge of the map, it's not BotW. Adding a """""fix"""""" for durability would either add busywork or fundamentally change the way the game is played to be just like every other AAA open world game.
breath of the shit sucks
nah
Rent free
why is it that we have franchises that barely change anything at all, and everyone still gobbles it the frick up and they sell millions, but when other games finally make something GOOD, they always have to "innovate" and shoehorn in new gimmicks and completely change shit instead of just giving us some more of what we actually want? sonic is easily the clearest example of this, but zelda does it too. why do they have zero faith that people will buy a sequel thats the previous game, but fined tuned and expanded? why do they think nobody will buy it unless they overhaul the core experience? people gobble up sports games. people gobble up cod shit. people replay the frick out of zelda games. why cant we just build on top of a good thing, instead of starting with a brand new foundation/gimmick every god damn time?
But they did that with Twilight Princess and it...almost sold 10 million copies. You know, that's a really good question.
I NEED GANON TO BE FOLDED IN CLOTH AND PIERCE LINK WITH BBC
I NEED GANON TO FLY OVER TO LINK IN FOLDED POSITION AND MELT INTO SLIME AND STICKY GOO ON LINK BIG BLACK GOO SO SMELLY AND ROTTED
GANON WILL BE THE HOTTEST VIDEO GAME CHARACTER IF THAT HAPPENS
We barely know anything. We don't even know if they are going to keep most of the mechanics from BotW other than the runes. We seriously need a new trailer and it will certainly be the final trailer before the game comes out.
>Another genshit clone
No thanks
This game is going to cause permanent damage to Ganker isn’t it
Half of Ganker gets mindbroken every week by [CURRENT EVENT] and repost the same fricking thing verbatim every day, so what's new?
It's a Zelda game, of course it'll be good.
Underground schizos WILL get embarassed and WILL be btfo. You cannot defeat us skychads
there will be caves and I'll explore the shit out of them, skygay
aiiiiie skysama I kneel
Frick you.
It's finally time to set sail once again.
We know very few things about this game and they are not the most promising (reusing the same world in a game about exploration?)
But on the other hand, it shows that they are so confident in the quality of their game so that it doesn't even need marketing. For a counter example, look at the incoming Harry Potter game: anyone with experience can tell it's gonna be a mediocre game that will sell millions because sustained by a massive marketing campaign. They think that TotK does need such a campaign to win customers.
They are complacent because they fooled people with botw and think they can do it again (which to be fair is probably true, people are morons).
I hope I can get a proper fishing rod
i prefer sex with mipha
Can't wait. Its going to be amazing
its going to be phenomenal
It will either be a disaster or the greatest game ever made
have a nice day, Arthur.
it's gonna be really hard to capture the magic of my first botw playthrough when it first came out, but i expect it to at least be pretty good. besides, even if they don't fix all of botw's problems there's no chance they somehow trip over a rock and make it WORSE.
right?
>any zelda after mm
>not being worse than the one before
pick one (1)
What of these will we get:
- improved combat
- a mirror world/new map on top of the old one
- a massively changed existing map
- 3/6+ major dungeons
- enhanced cooking
- more of those spirit ability things
- enhanced travel options (will the bike be in the game from the start or removed)
- enhanced world collectibles that's more than finding 500 poos
- more ways to interact with the games physics
- more troony crossdressing
- multiplayer/co-op functionality?
There will be a Sky area featuring islands that combined take up 1/2 of the total space of BOTW's Hyrule. There will be underwater exploration taking up 1/3rd of the total space of BOTW's Hyrule, there will be an underground area taking up 1/3rd of the total space of BOTW's Hyrule. It will be the equivalent of a new map plus 7 themed dungeons. There are stables in the sky as we see from the teasers, we'll have Loftwings or other mounts we can fly on to traverse the vast sky world

GOD I HATE HYLIA SO FRICKING MUCH IT'S UNREAL
Sky with the bird people
Water with the Zora
Underground with the Gordon's
What do the ayrab b***hes get?
You'll have to fight them in the past, back when they were still desert thieves loyal to Ganon.
>explore the sky
>explore the seas
>explore the land
>explore hot pussy
This is pretty much my wish list, but it feels overly optimistic. I'm fine with the sequel being "good enough", BotW is already one of the best games I've ever played, so I don't need manufactured hype.
TotK is going to be one of the greatest video games of all time and Gankerbabbies will spray shit up the walls for another 6 years.
What's with the roasty?
>that forehead
Sorry buddy, the Splatoon thread is a few doors down.
Where can i see her breasts?

Anyway. DIRECT when? Maybe next week seeing as Xbox have one this week?

Is Master Mode suitable for a newbie to BOTW?
>Is Master Mode suitable for a newbie to BOTW?
Good god no. Just play normal mode. You'll enjoy it a lot more.
Git gud
Master Mode just turns every enemy into bullet sponges (even more than what they already are in the base game). not fun
Master Mode is one of the most frustrating wastes of time I've ever experienced. Especially because it was relatively easy to deliver a Master Mode with a concrete survivalist feel and make BotW soar to new heights of ludokino.
I do not recommend Master Mode at all.
