Early Assassins Creed but actually fun
Nemesis system thing from the first game gives you some cool side stories you make yourself with the Orcs that keep coming back to try to take you out
Game does get a bit repetitive at times tho
    Haven't played shadow of war
First game's ending it kinda bad

dont do much of the side content on 1 its pretty garbo, 2 has a much better fleshed out nemesis system which is the cool part of the game
    1 ending is super dissapointing
2 i liked it, and didnt expect them happenings. if you ignore dlc it actually ties in pretty alright to the movies.

    ah, also TALION, THE PALANTHIR

SoM's bright lord dlc is really good, and it sorta feels like IT'S ending was the intended original ending

      >2 has a much better fleshed out nemesis system
The game was made for consoles right at the end of the 360/ps3 generation

    >mordor
An OK time with a lot of "why the frick isn't it more like this? I wish it was like that" vacuum disappointment.
    >war
A decent to good time, in which you'll usually forget how shitty the story actually is because you're having too much fun fricking with orcs, citadels, and/or getting mad as frick at the same orcs surprising you at inconvenient moments.

Only played the first one, reinstalled the second one because i've been watching the Amazon show.

The first one is okay. Its like an AssCreed game but set in Middle Earth. The game is split in half between two regions. The first region is much more fun, the second is just a slog. The story is meh and the side stuff is just collect x. Also the final boss is just a QTE.

On the brightside, the combat is fun. And while stealth kinda sucks, the archery is great and the orcs make for excellent baddies. I like how the orcs are fleshed out and each enemy retains traits as they rise up in ranks. 7.4/10

A blend of Arkham and Assassin's Creed, the Nemesis system is what really brings the game to life. You'll probably like Mordor, but after trying the gameplay improves in War, you'll have a hard time going back.

One of the kinoest endings of any game ever in Shadow of War, despite being locked in a (used to be) grindy endgame, though it actually serves a narrative purpose.

If you care about Tolkien lore, they're shit.
If you don't, they're not bad.

    I mean, maybe not?
Some shits are funnier than others just because of the way it looks, smells, or other factors. Sometimes it's such a big fricking shit you can't help but laugh just because what the hell man, how'd that happen.
It's still all shit in the end though.

I actually thought the first game was pretty fun and there was alot of creativity that went into the nemesis system. It's one of the few Lord of the Ring games that didn't suck major ass.

They're hardly faithful to Tolkien and they reek of oc donut steel fan fiction, but it's fun so nobody cares.

well shit, i remember playing through some of shadow of mordor but i either started playing something else or got bored with it.
should i get it on steam and replay it or just go straight for shadow of war?

A tech demo for the nemesis system.
But its a really cool system and you'll play for dozens of hours just to see new orcs.
