Idk I think their explanation is reasonable. It's an Electric type with big mandibles. It's not crazy to imagine they named it Vicavolt or Visavolt, realised that "Vise-a-volt" sounds kinda dumb, and changed it to Vikavolt.

How the hell do you get vice grip from vika? It doesn't even sound alike aside from starting with a V.

Other way around, retard. He's suggesting that they started with "vice" then changed the "c" to a "k". Learn to read.

Dumbass, I'm asking how he came to that conclusion when vice and vika barely sound alike.

Vika is short for Victory in few coutries
Vika also means failure in Finnish (Hilarious)

    Vikavolt comes from V-card-volt.

You need to remember that Bulbapedia doesn't like being 100% certain on something unless GameFreak or The Pokemon Company outright states it.
Unless it's related to a Pokemon's gender in the anime, in which case anything goes in order to support the shippers that have made a community within the Bulbapedia name.

I don’t why Bulbapedia is so retarded when it comes to mentioning other IP’s. There is literally nothing wrong with staring “this Pokémon may be inspired by other IP”.
