Of course
Yes you can trade them
Yes, and the traded Pokedex entries are the biggest clue that no actual time travel is going on in this game.
>the traded Pokedex entries are the biggest clue that no actual time travel is going on in this game
explain
The Pokedex entries for Paradox Pokemon in their respective versions basically say "These are Pokemon documented in the Scarlet/Violet boo"
The Pokedex entries for paradox Pokemon in their opposite versions all read as :"A Pokemon that seems to resemble something from a trashy tabloid."
Fricking Paradox Hydreigon's literally has the tabloid line of a "A Pokemon that was born from a Hydreigon falling in love with a tank!"
It's because there is no known documentation of them. They aren't imaginary
Just remember when Time Travel is proven 100% false in the DLC don't pretend you weren't an idiot
>"A Pokemon that was born from a Hydreigon falling in love with a tank!"

Scarlet's entries all mention that Violet's paradox mons originate from scifi-cryptid magazines. Arven's postgame quest let's you read the scarlet book. It has some backstory of the original expedition into the madrid crater area. The author had some dream were he had something wisper to him, the picture of the page looks like a schematic for the "time machine" you see in the endgame. Another page has a picture of the possible third legendary which looks like a lizard on a diamond, according to the holey text it's a disk like pokemon. The professor's diaries in the observatory that the pokemon on the bottom of the crater is the source of the tera crystallization. If you do the History classes in the academy you find out that the scarlet book was deemed hogwash by the general public and nowadays is only found in esoteric shops (the expedition as 200 years ago) the whole expedition was probably just some money laundry and the paradox mons where made up to justify extra founding from the academy (there is a page in the scarlet book which heavily emphasizes this) . The prof found the schematics to the machine ten years prior to the story, made another expedition down the crater, discovered how to make tera crytalization possible outside of the crater by making the tera orbs out of the crytals found there, used the money from this to build the machine from the book, when the machine began to spew out the Paradox pokemon they wrongly concluded that they were real after all and from the past/future when in reality they were probably some sort of tulpa created by the wish granting pokemon. This makes perfect sense considering that the crater area is a paradise fulkl of pseudo-legendaries, white flabebe's and there are items every two steps on the ground, the whole thing is a honey trap to lure in people towards the sleeping pokemon. In short, it's some lovecraftian story about a sleeping god.
oh god so the story is even more fricking nuts than I thought
>giant alien hole in the ground that produces rare artifacts everywhere to lure people in
>an egg that grants wishes
>flabebe are all white flowers
>soundtrack is weird chanting in a fake language
So how do you explain the robot going to the past? (And please tell me how to read the scarlet book in the post game? I can't find Arven at all).
No proof it went to the past
Has anyone posted the scarlet book entries yet?
How? What
Follow up question: do paradox Pokemon appear in raids?
Obviously
Supposedly yes
There are no raids in their area, but there is no point, they have no HA and you can change a Pokemon's Tera type through the restaurant in the Normal gym town.
so considering they don't breed, if there are no raids, there's no way to have the other version's exclusives with your OT?
No
yes, you need to join the opposite game in multiplayer and you can catch an exclusive yourself
Yes, and if you have multiplayer you can catch them in your game if the host is a Violet player.
I really hope this is true and they don't do something cringe like preventing them from spawning if someone else is in the world
Its confirmed you can explore Area Zero in multiplayer?
what the frick is a paradox pokemon?
Pokemon that are either from the past or future or pokemon made by another (think Arceus but on a smaller scale).
The paradox moniker can be a bit misleading because when you think about paradoxes, you think of phrases like "this sentence is a lie", which have no real answer. In this case, this is more in line with Achilles paradox, which was based around Achilles racing a tortoise with a head start and never being able to catch up to it no matter how fast he ran. The latter had no answer at the time because with the limited knowledge of mathematics, they could not prove that he actually -could- catch it. With what we know about math now, we know that yes, Achilles can catch up, and would surpass that tortoise, therein solving the paradox and it no longer exists.
TL;DR: they are referred to 'paradox' pokemon because in-game there is currently no clear cut answer on the origins of these pokemon, but for players that have read leaks and spoilers, we do know that they have 1 of 2 origins, so they are no longer Paradox's. They're either pokemon that arrived here through time travel, or pokemon created by a lesser Arceus
ty anon
I just started how donyou get paradox mons?
you fight them during main story but can't catch them until postgame
Thx Anon you are the best
can you get multiple paradox pokemon or is it only one copy per save file? are they shiny locked?
theyre just random spawns in the crater and some are in specific spots so theyre just reglar mons and presumably not shiny locked
ah okay, i woulda figured they were static encounters. thanks
Ok so more akin to the format of the Ultra Beast.
Wow, sounds cool. A shitton better than the Darkest Day at least.
Sorry anon, I'm stupid and don't understand the Achilles paradox
>Sorry anon, I'm stupid and don't understand the Achilles paradox

This video explains it pretty well. Essentially the characters in-game don't know how to solve the paradox fallacy with these pokemon's origins, but with spoilers we already do.
i know there's multiple of them, but how rare are they? Can you shiny hunt? I need silver robot Ttar
