Can they just make an option to remove yellow paint and tape? Capcom gives us delux chads the ability to use the 2005 soundtrack, give us an option to turn off this eyesore, we're not idiots and can live without it.

re4 is simply keeping up the tradition of the original version, make it more casual than the previous entries.
>make it more casual than the previous entries.
People over familiar with OG RE4 are getting their bussies pushed in by the remake because their bad at games though.
nintendo fans are statistically the worst at video games
Nah, I've played the original game dozens of times and I almost always die at least once during the initial village swarm. I never even came close during the Remake demo, it was easy as shit.
Cool lie bro. If you die at the beginning of the OG now you're super bad at games
>Cool lie
Whatever you have to tell yourself to cope, tendie.
Youre 100% a zoomer born after RE4 came out. The changes just make everything easier.
Take the knife parry for instance. The knife in R4Make
>can kill downed instantly
>can parry chainsaw guy instead of instantly getting your head cut off
>can parry all melees, you dont get punished for letting enemies get in close, just parry lol it barely uses and durability
It is cooler I guess but you cannot argue it wont make it easier.
The paint is absolutely hideous. It is ugly as hell, and only added so actual autists can beat the game. They could have avoided it by making destructible boxes have recognizable shapes and designs, or even better, not have barrels/crates that arent breakable. Its so obvious yet of course people defend it.
I'm 31 years old and have bet the original 50 fucking times or more. I never die at the beginning of the original game. I can easily tell with the broken neck ganados a and the aggression of the AI that the village section in this remake is much more difficult than the original game. In the opening village area in the original game all I have to do is run to the first house. Get behind the staircase with my shot gun and ammo that I have acquired up to that point. Get as many enemies in the house as i can, use a well placed grenade, kill a few with the shot gun and in the bell rings. Also, doctor Salvador in the original game will go flying when shot close with a shot gun. That doesn't happen here. The OG is quite a bit easier.
Maybe the fact that you've beaten the original 50 times has an effect on your perception of its difficulty? Id think by the 10th time you wouldnt be dying during any point or even taking damage; for fucks sake lol you literally described a cheese tactic. Ive beaten it on hard and normal and never did anything like that.
The new game has totally different gameplay design in several places, maybe if you beat it 50 times you'll be saying the remakes easier!
>That doesn't happen here
Have you played the Chainsaw demo? The village section is trivial and ends as soon as you start having fun
>>can kill downed instantly
Yes but uses durability
>>can parry chainsaw guy instead of instantly getting your head cut off
Uses up nearly all the durability. It's meant only as a last "oh shit" button.
>>can parry all melees
Each parry uses durability. Repairing the knife costs money. And you can't parry all attacks.
kys zoomer chud
legitimately neck you'reself
Calm down dude its just a video game
They should treat it like puzzle difficulty in SH.
Turn it to easy and shit gets marked with graffiti.
What’s the point? You can’t really make it an option when the game was made with it in mind.
it looks fine you dunce.
It would be trivial to mod it out but you don't really want that. No one does.
Would it now?
>would retexturing a box be trivial
>Can they just make an option to remove yellow paint and tape?
how where they supposed people were gonna get mega autistic about a little yella
The original made the barrels, boxes and birds nests brighter on purpose to make them obvious to the player not to mentions the glints that indicate treasure, the paint is a lot more subtle by comparison (except maybe on the windows but even then the original put a giant interact prompt when you got close). The UI is also a lot cleaner and even goes away completely when it's not needed. People are completely overreacting about this stuff.
>The UI is also a lot cleaner and even goes away completely when it's not needed. People are completely overreacting about this stuff.
This is a terrible thing.
go cry about it on Ganker
I think you can turn it off but I like it personally
>Gankereddit is so fragile a simple yellow tape mindbreaks them
can't make this shit up
>it's another cashgrab remake shilled left and right by ugly brown people
It's something I've never seen discussed here how every game today has some sort of obvious mechanism to tell the player what's climbable or lootable. There's some vivid colors on grappling points, rope and paint on ledges, obvious discoloration on other ledges, weird protrusions that clash with the scenery, slow and locked in camera pans to the only fucking path you can take anyway. Etc. Lootables are either obviously market or have a prompt above them from 50 miles away. Yet if you turn off button prompts the same lootable objects are used as set pieces everywhere.
There's a clear laziness in regards to hiding how dumb they think the player is.
I mean at this point the average player IS that dumb. Zoomers are some of the stupidest fucking animals on the planet, I've come across dogs who show more intelligence and awareness than your average YouTube-raised zoomie.
Every time it severely distracts from my immersion. It isn't just zoomers. Used Ghost of Tsushima as an example cos my brother in law got it recently. The dude is approaching his 40's. He will just walk past this obvious stuff somehow. He will stand there and wonder where to go for a moment.
To me it's a fucking chore, it's just hold forward and jump to get through the mandatory climbing sequence. It literally asks nothing of me in terms of engagement. What shitty development. Opeb world and single approach to exploration really needs to die already.
because you're an ignorant zoom zoom
Nah. Everybody would keep them on except one guy.
The original RE4 had it yet you gays didn't complain because we all know the only ones complaining are tendies with sour grapes.
>BUT BUT BUT ABLOOBLOOBLOO
You fucking retard
>stop ruining my narrative!
COPE tendie.
>he thinks his retarded false equivalence did anything but make me kek at how inferior he is to me
KEK
what is this supposed to prove? the glowing lights from the birds is purely a gameplay element. from a lore perspective there is zero reason why zombies would spraypaint all their shit with a yellow x
In the new separate ways we'll be painting every box and placing tape on every window before Leon shows up
>IT'S OKAY because I said so but not it's bad because I can't play it!
Tendie cope.
Are snoys really acting like this is a PS5 exclusive? Is that why they bring up Nintendo? Lmfao
>NOOO MY YELLOW WRAP
whats with you retards discussing this now? its been in RE7
RE7 isnt a remake so there was nothing to compare it to.
Then where were the RE2-RE3 Remakes threads crying about it like you morones do nowadays? Those games have them.
>it doesn't count cause it's not a remake
literal brainlet gay trying to cause a fake outrage.
It fits better in the RE2/3 city setting where yellow tape is regularly used in police stations and yellow paint is used on roads and its not abnormal to see splotches.
It looks worse here. In RE2, I only remember it on the planks which were items you get like 3 times and not all over the place. Additionally, the RE2 remake was a remake of an old ass PS1 game, so there was more up to interpretation, you cant really put screenshots next to each other and argue the remake looks worse (because it doesnt) unli I dont know what you want me to say. It looks like shit in the 4 remake.
>Uses up nearly all the durability. It's meant only as a last "oh shit" button.
An option you dont get in the original. Maybe its balanced over the whole game, which isnt out yet, but it undeniably weakens the effect chainsaw guy had before.
>but it undeniably weakens the effect chainsaw guy had before.
Again one good shotgun to the face against Salvador in the original game has him flying backwards where you can run over and start using your infinite knife and easily kill him before he gets back up. You don't know what you're talking about.
>An option you dont get in the original.
You're right but in the original the chainsaw dude is easy to stagger or even known down with shotgun. He's not a big threat. Enemies in the remake are faster now to compensate for Leon being able to move and shoot, parry, counter, and do ground executes. Chainsaw man is also faster, and harder to knock down or stagger, which makes him a bigger threat. Melee prompts on Ganados are less useful for crowd control and they never no longer give short windows of invulnerability.
>Melee prompts on Ganados are less useful for crowd control and they never no longer give short windows of invulnerability.
Okay that does bode well. I guess I'll wait until the game comes out
The yellow paint still looks shit though. Makes it look like a modern tomb raider game
>t-t-the tape is yellow
That's it? That's the doomers got? 10/10 GOTY confirmed
i think its a funny meme. I'm pretty sure 60% of people making the threads are just trolling. 20% don't care and 10% of people are actually triggered by it.
>i think its a funny meme
It's not a meme, same shit with Shazam, it's a group of discord people just killing threads cause they are miserable little fucks.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Gamingcirclejerk/
>we're not idiots and can live without it.
But you are, and you'd miss at least 30% of the breakable objects because they're not glowing anymore like in the original.
>play the demo
>absolutely love it
>they changed the things they can and kept the important parts, like the village 1:1
>come to Ganker for the first time in weeks
>entire board is crying over yellow paint I even hardly registered because its just another highlighting mechanic
I shouldnt be surprised but I kinda am.
You really are the bottom of the barrel.
but has that barrel been marked with yellow paint?
Turning the first ganado into a cutscene was pretty gay, though, even if it is funny to see Leon try speaking Spanish
Anon...
Not everything is a conspiracy, unless everything is a conspiracy
>no more QUE CARAJO ESTAS HACIENDO AQUI? LARGATE CABRON
fuck this shit
>Turning the first ganado into a cutscene was pretty gay, though
I really didn't have any reaction whatsoever to something so minor.
Is this autism?
the windows make me laugh
I remember people going crazy because Link was looking at objects of interest
I checked and the paint is part of the color textures. You cant remove it because there's nothing behind it
>plenty to say about how they turn gameplay moments into cutscenes
>the dreadfully dull dialogue and voice performances
>everything else that has been "leaked" about the game post-demo
>instead ALL of the bitching is about yellow tape non-stop
this feels like the bathroom sign in Dead Space Remake all over again. is this controlled opposition or something?
I heard there's no ashley section in the remake is this true?
>we're not idiots
>buying a remake

Capcom knows which one is true
