Fellow 5800x user here, these CPU reqs do look retarded, I can't imagine the game actually needing a 7000 CPU for 60 fps. Current version of CP I can get 80+ on ultra when not GPU bottlenecked.
Cyberpunk is also clearly the only game at market serious about Raytracing, too. I wonder if nvidia just assumed control of this game. Witcher 4 meanwhile will be downgrade center switching over to Unreal engine.
The whole reason they're switching to unreal is because most CD Projekt veterans have left and the game was made by interns who have no fucking idea how the engine works, that's why we've had to wait 3 years for vehicle combat and police AI.
>2160p
only got 1440p >60fps
144fps >64 bit windows
i'm running plan9 with my own compiled iteration of wine >core i9 12900
ryzen 7 3800x >rtx 4080
3080 >16gb vram
12 >24gb system ram
32 >70gb nvme
i don't use storage i just condense data into genetic packets using an orange as the medium
why bother getting cpus like this when you're just a gay playing videogames? If you're actually doing extensive 3d programming, art, production, shops, then accept my apology. If not, you're a dipshit
is this higher than the base game? I run at 60+ FPS for most of the game with a 5 year old 1070ti and a Ryzen 5600x with 32gb RAM...
Game runs like butter on mostly high default settings with some optimization.
Cybersisters... don't tell me I started a new playthrough for nothing...
>textures on ultra >shadows on low >volumetric fog completely disabled >all unnecessary post-processing effects disabled >enjoy 60FPS on 1080p downscaled from 1440p ez >6600k with a 1070
These metrics will always be a meme meant to make you FUD upgrade.
I bought the game at launch and didn't like it. I can run the game, even after the DLC upgrade, but I'm just wondering if this is a handy way to refund a game I have like 5 hours in.
>neither V or Johnny even consider it until they're both in the darkest depths of existential despair >deliberately designed to kill the player by decreasing all your stats as your psyche breaks down >option to use the Saka tower PA system to play Samurai tracks while you go out in a blaze of glory with both of your souls intact
because they're now considering PS5 and Xbox X as default rather than last gens. of course, on PC this translates to inflated hardware requirements because optimization be hard or something.
Consoles now have a fast SSD and a ryzen 3600 instead of a slow 5400rpm HDD and a shit ass TABLET octacore CPU with dreadful performance.
+ they dropped last gen so the shackles are finally free and they did a bunch of in engine stuff to get rid of the dreadful texture pop in and increased crowd density.
Also naturally raytracing taxes the CPU by quite a bit.
Does NVME really that impactful on performance? I thought the difference between it and SATA SSDs are miniscule and the extra bucks only makes sense if you're on smaller factor builds where every space matters.
Have to wait and see
The only game I know of where NVMe does anything other than just reduce load times is Ratchet & Clank with its portals loading entire levels on the fly while the old ones are still on-screen
Phantom Liberty would have to be doing some crazy shit to need NVMe speeds for performance reasons.
The high system requirements for top end graphics is the biggest reason to be excited for PL
You can still run it with dlss at 1440p without a monster pc since it'll run 720p and you prob get 60 fps pretty easily by turning some settings to medium
They reworked a lot of stuff and since none of their devs know how to work with the engine it's even worse than before. They are moving to unreal engine in the future for a reason- utter incompetence. Same with DICE.
Yes and I'm never playing cyberslop.
Oh no
Yes
I am looking forward to it
Couldn't give less of a fuck about Idris Elba but I did enjoy the base game
yeah, at high, but still run it
been waiting for the expac before starting a new game
Yeah but not at max, but I'm ok with that.
is this with DLSS enabled?
It literally says where DLSS is enabled at the bottom of the pic-
Yup, I've been itching to try a netrunner since I beat it going full katana. shame they decided to add bullet deflect after I finish the damn run.
Thank god I never played this game and get to enjoy it now for the first time
A better question is why should you?
WHEN THE FUCK DOES 2.0 DROP I JUST WANT TO PLAY THE BASE GAME FUCK
Those CPU requirements are some bullshit. My 5800X is only one generation old, but apparently that's not good enough to run the high preset at 1080p?
Fellow 5800x user here, these CPU reqs do look retarded, I can't imagine the game actually needing a 7000 CPU for 60 fps. Current version of CP I can get 80+ on ultra when not GPU bottlenecked.
bro, just buy a $4000 pc every year.
That's what you deserve for spending $300 on an obsolete 8 year old platform
They dropped ps4 and xbone they upped the npc crowd density and the way the engine handles the LOD system, that would explain the increased CPU load.
yeah i can on low.
which is weird since i could run the release version on high on my dinky 1660 super.
>make DLC for game
>game suddenly requires twice as powerful PC to run it
???
>recommended
>2060
>ultra
>3080
so how do you play this game on a console, at 14 fps?
Console GPUs are roughly 2060 super level with more VRAM, and most games run on a combination of medium and low settings.
Performance mode on PS5 gave a pretty consistent 60fps when I played it last year.
consoles have lower settings
those quotes...they aren't real...are they? oh no...
What are the specs for PS5? Oh, it says here. It reads "Plug it in and enjoy". Lovely.
Yeah you can do that with a 5 year old PC as well, and not have to give any money to moron worshipping snoy in the process.
yes and enjoy your sub 60fps and ugly ass textures too
"Enjoy" playing the game with a gamepad in uggo mode, yeah. Enjoy your console with 1 good exclusive (that's a PS3 remaster lol)
I hope you're not talking about Demon's Souls, best way to play it is emulated on PC at 4K@60+ FPS
>buy a cheaper than pc console
>it just works
pcfags will never know this feeling
>I am stupid, teehee
I always find those types of posts embarrassing.
>plugin console
>YOU MUST UPDATE
>UPDATE AND REBOOT
>YOU MUST UPDATE GAME NOW
lol just works my ass.
i will run everything on low and then turn on dlss
Why are you being smug about that?
>3060
>32 gb ram
>ryzen 5 7600X
At high I think? I'm not really sure tbqh
yes also this is a lie
a 3090 can use DLSS 3.5 and fake raytracing it just cant use Fram gen, so youll be able to still run RT overdrive with 10fps less
DLSS implementation is really good in CP77. It looks better than native.
It looks better than native because TAA is fucking AIDS and blurs the screen to begin with
DLSS is TAA with a upscaler.
TAA works better the higher the res and the more frames you have.
Looks like I can do Ultra and RT Recommended for sure, possibly RT Overdrive at 1440p
Probably not gonna play this game anyway
>1080ti
1440p all high 60 fps-ish
no but im still playing it
Can't wait to ignite my 4070ti when I try the path tracing mode.
my 3080 called the cops on me when i turned it on
>20 GB RAM
holy shit my 16 GB are finally not enough
why do they even bother showing the 30fps ray tracing category lmao
>those cpu reqs
holy moly dudes it's over I do not want to buy a new motherboard for $250 + $400 CPU + tip
I can. But I"m not really interested in playing the DLC/update Day 1. I'll wait and see if it's also a stupid mess like the launch was.
can anybody explain to me the 2k and 4k meme?
i'm okay playing 1366x768
WHEN IS 2.0 OUT? WHERE IS THE OFFICIAL DATE?
When Phantom Liberty releases you fucking rabid retard
didn't they previously literally say that they would drop 2.0 independently/before PL?
there's a cyberpunk stream happening in like 7 hours so news about 2.0 will likely be announced
Today after the night city wire episode stream.
>2160p

Nope.
i7 13700K + 3060ti + 32gb DDR5 + 4K monitor.
I can run it at ultra probably, not that it matters because ultra is too high quality.
8700k/1080ti -> 5600x(5800x3D)/3080 -> this
I love high end pc gaming
why bother getting cpus like this when you're just a gay playing videogames? If you're actually doing extensive 3d programming, art, production, shops, then accept my apology. If not, you're a dipshit
>Dolby(R) Atmos

These metrics will always be a meme meant to make you FUD upgrade.
That's fine and all but those settings do nothing to help a CPU bottleneck.
What bottleneck? The retarded shit that would prompt it is being disabled.
Yeah, run the other way if someone tries to get me to play soiberjunk.
What are those unholy CPU requirements wtf
Is that legal?
Can they release DLC that requires 4x the specs of the base game?
It's because they're ditching the last gen versions.
Not even the Witcher 3 update was so demanding
It's not just the DLC, the new patch will raise the requirements for the base game.
I know.
Can I request a refund then? If the game patches itself so it doesn't run on my hardware anymore?
>Can I request a refund then?
Just upgrade your PC lmao
I bought the game at launch and didn't like it. I can run the game, even after the DLC upgrade, but I'm just wondering if this is a handy way to refund a game I have like 5 hours in.
>Can I request a refund then
If you have worse than the minimum specs for this game in 2023 you should just commit suicide now.
>3060 ti
I'll live.
Limper was my bro
The real question is what are those AIs doing that caused that spike in cpu requirements. Did they copy Todd's Radiant AI lmao
I'm hoping that my 4090 at 1440p with frame gen can keep things smooth with path tracing on.
>4090 + 7800x3d
>rt overdrive on
>dlss quality
>lock to 60 fps for cool temps
yep, it's gaming time
>tfw you liked the game a lot and played it to completion, but have no desire to replay it because the ending wrapped up the experience perfectly
Sorry Chooms
How did you jumping into space to board a station wrap it up perfectly?
>he got the 2nd worst ending
>pick cuckold ending
>nothing gets wrapped up
Real ending is you and Johnny storming that shit all by yourself with no help and going out guns blazing
>neither V or Johnny even consider it until they're both in the darkest depths of existential despair
>deliberately designed to kill the player by decreasing all your stats as your psyche breaks down
>option to use the Saka tower PA system to play Samurai tracks while you go out in a blaze of glory with both of your souls intact
Goat/10
when will it be out?
yeah, probably at medium 1080p no RT
still not pirating it THOUGH
Ganker tricked me into thinking a R5 3600 would last me a decade. It's only been 4 years...
>4090/5900x
I don't want to upgrade my CPU. Why are CPU so important all of a sudden?
>I don't want to upgrade my CPU
Decent DDR5/gen 5 mobos cost 500+ now, enjoy
because they're now considering PS5 and Xbox X as default rather than last gens. of course, on PC this translates to inflated hardware requirements because optimization be hard or something.

There's no new content for Panam in the expansion right?
>My 1050ti can’t play it anymore
Aren't the Ryzen 7 7800x3d and the Ryzen 9 7900x basically the same for games performance?
Why is one recommended for high and the other for ultra?
It's crazy to me how you need a $4000 PC to run a modern game with the highest settings at 60fps.
4 years ago I thought my $2000 PC was a beast.
Surely the significantly higher CPU requirements mean NPCs aren't braindead lemmings anymore, right?

So could patch drop over the weekend? They usually patch on Tuesday though
Wtf is that recommended processor for high 1080p60fps? 7800x3D or 12700? Are they dumb.
yes, on overdrive
looking forward to doing a 3rd run and I've already got 200+ hours
> Overdrive.
> 4080 recommended.
lmao. Yeah good luck with that.
Does NVME really that impactful on performance? I thought the difference between it and SATA SSDs are miniscule and the extra bucks only makes sense if you're on smaller factor builds where every space matters.

Kinda weird cdpr couldnt implement directstorage yet
It supposedly frees up cpu to do other things
my laptop 3070Ti was hitting barely above 60fps at 1440p, shit
3080 desktop can do like 50 fps on 1440p overdrive
are laptops that shitty?
3070 is just not that good of a card, laptop or not
>Expansion is more demanding
What the fuck do they add
They reworked a lot of stuff and since none of their devs know how to work with the engine it's even worse than before. They are moving to unreal engine in the future for a reason- utter incompetence. Same with DICE.
